A fantastic ground floor home, you will find the Pacific Ocean just steps away from your patio door. Many families prize the convenience of staying on the ground floor considering the amount of gear they often carry for the little ones. Enjoy the tranquility of the patio for unobstructed views of the dune grass glowing in the setting sun. The large picture windows let you follow the antics of your children on the lush grass just outside. The beach trail is just a few steps from the backdoor and leads you through the dune grass to overlook the majestic Pacific. Following a dip in the ocean, warm up with a soak in the large jetted tub. The kitchen overlooks the living room letting you enjoy the company of friends and family. Even in mid-winter you can bundle up and dash out for a quick taste of the wind and waves without freezing. This unit is a wonderful vacation spot for families.
In addition to all the comforts of home in your beach vacation condo, your stay with us includes total access to all the amenities our property has to offer. This includes a large hot tub, heated seasonal swimming pool, barbeque grills, and well equipped exercise center at the clubhouse. There is also a large grassy play-field perfect for the kids, a basketball court, putting green, horseshoe pits, and playground for the little ones. Sports equipment is available for checkout at our Front Desk. Soak up the sunshine and relax on one of the many park benches and watch the activities. No worries, its time to have fun at the beach!

Great comfortable place for get away with a group
A guest from University Place, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2015 The weather could not have been better for October - sunshine and mid 60"s! The condo is well appointed, extremely welcoming and has great access to the beach!! We are looking forward to booking another stay real soon!
A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2015 Nice trip. Clean space and great beach access. It did get pretty noisy on Friday and Saturday night. There were also a lot of millipedes all over, maybe we will stay on an upper floor next time.
Mary P. from Silverdale, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2015 We have stayed at Vacations by the Sea two other times prior to this visit and loved every minute. Condo 812 is gorgeous and dog friendly which was wonderful but we arrived in August and there was an influx of black millipedes around our building and in our unit. The unit itself was clean and in good repair but the insect issue put a big damper on our vacation. If we stay again it will be on an upper level which does not seem to have this issue. I will also suggest that the pull out couch either be replaced or a new mattress be added as the one that is on there currently is not worthy of being slept on and required us to figure out different sleeping arrangements. I did speak with the managers for the unit and they were very helpful with our concerns which I appreciated.
Property Manager Response: Response from Vacations by the Sea We're glad you and your family had another great stay in Westport. The Home Owners Association has the buildings professionally treated every month and frequently twice a month in July and August but some of the millipedes will still make it inside to get out of the summer heat. They are not harmful in any way to pets or human but can be creepy like that strange uncle at family events. Luckily they don't live long (the millipedes not the uncle) and most guests understand a few unwelcome guests is a minor trade off for a summertime condo this close to the beach and trails. This is never a problem the rest of the year and has alot to do with how hot it gets at the beach. **UPDATE 11/1/15 - The owners have installed a new memory foam mattress and plush mattress topper for the pull out couch and it should be a great improvement over the original bedding!**
Thomas H. from Shelton, Washington recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2015 The condo was available on time and was nicely furnished. It was easy to find and convenient to the amenities of Westport. We had perfect weather during our very enjoyable stay. The only minor issue we had was that, since each unit is individually owned, we had to keep track of glassware and utensils as we mingled with friends who were in other units so that they could be returned to our unit.
Property Manager Response: Response from Vacations by the Sea Thanks for staying and happy to hear you had a great time. We appreciate your consideration to keep up with the glasses and plates and return them to the property condo since you were with a big group! Hope to see you all again next year.
This is a great place to stay, especially if you have a dog
A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2015 This is the 3rd time I've been to Vacations by the Sea. I love being able to walk out of my condo, over the dune and on to the beach. It is quiet, beautiful, and very relaxing.
A guest from Issaquah, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2015 Loved this property and this unit which was spacious and immaculate. I felt guilty having kids and dogs in it! We did have a need to call the office for more supplies and they were delivered within an hour. Will definitely be back.
Annette L. from Black Diamond, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2015 We've stayed in various condos at VBS, but we loved 812. From the location to the comfortable interior, it was very nice. We wanted to return for the 4th of July but the unit was already booked. Planning a trip again in August and hope 812 will be available.
A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2015 We have stayed in this particular unit many times and have always had a great time and enjoyed the space. The unit was very clean and it was already warmed up when we got there. The one short coming we encountered this time (and not on previous stays) is that the kitchen was not particularly well stock with necessary kitchen items, e.g., there was only 3 table knives, it was lacking a large bowl, there was no egg beater. Even though we ran into these issues, we would definitely stay here again but maybe bring along some essentials that we would need.
Property Manager Response: Response from Vacations by the Sea Thanks for staying with us and sorry to hear you were lacking a few items in the kitchens. Sometimes if a group or family stays with us in several condos, plates, cups, utensils, and silverware will get moved to a different condo for a shared meal and not returned to where it belongs. We will check the other condos in the building and ensure this unit has the property amount of kitchen items. If you run into this issue again, please give us a call during your stay so we can correct it right away.
Darhl E. from Snoqualmie, Washington recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2014 The lower level unit was perfect for our family of 5 and dogs. Easy access to the outdoors to walk the dogs, walk to the beach and clean our clam gear at the wash station that is close by. It was modern, clean, spacious and had all the modern and needed amenities for a relaxing few days away. We will be back SOON!!
A guest from Snoqualmie, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2014 The perfect get away for our family! The bunk beds for the kids and patio for our dog - this condo met all of our vacation needs. I didn't expect to have a view of the ocean on the ground level, but you are able to catch a glimpse past the dunes. The condo was clean and had all the amenities. Even though we came in November, we were lucky enough to have a sunshine-filled weekend away. We will be returning!
Karen K. from Bellevue, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2014 We had a great time at Vacations by the Sea. We've been here before, so had planned ahead-- 3 condos for 3 families and their kids. Plus me in this condo, 812, with my little spaniels. We brought all of our own groceries and made great use of the BBQ area. Love that the kids can do everything right here, we don't all have to try to coordinate getting cars ready and going anywhere. We rode bikes on the path, played on the beach, used the pool and hot tub, played putt-putt, etc. Great family spot. One issue for this particular condo-- the living room smelled terribly like dog urine. I so appreciate owners that allow dogs, so I'm disappointed for them that summer renters have let their dogs pee on the carpets and not cleaned up well enough. There were several stains and my dogs were beside themselves smelling every inch of that carpet. Thankfully, the bedroom did not smell and I wasn't spending much time in the condo. Otherwise, I would have had to leave. The master bed mattresses in this unit need to be replaced.
A guest from Georgetown, Texas recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2014 My husband, daughter, two grand-daughters & I stayed on the ground floor (With our Old Dog Charlie). The unit was well appointed and VERY clean. Proximity to the beach was wonderful and the kids loved the pool. The entire place was need and clean and obviously cared for by the VBS Crew. We had trouble hooking up to the internet and were surprised that your tech guy stuck with the problem until it was solved instead of telling us it was the best he could do. There were only two problems with the unit: the garbage can was too small and we had to empty it daily (a real waste of garbage bags) and the sofa-bed was uncomfortable to the point of being useless. I would not advertise this as available for SIX people.
Tony M. from Seabeck, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2014 As usual FANTASTIC... and the condo was immaculate, comfortable and quiet. The only complaints we had was the Mr. Coffee pot - SUCKS.. please get an updated one that works - and the front blind is broken. Really nit picky but we've stayed here before and these things worked. That said, you can bet -- we will be back!
A guest from Mercer Island, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2014 The unit is very nice, one of the better condos in the complex. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you would need. Also, our two boys loved the bunk beds. We will be back soon!
Tony M. from Seabeck, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2014 The apartment was neat, comfortable and certainly affordable. Location was central to all we wanted to do (fish, crab, beach comb, cookout). The gal who helped us locate a pet friendly unit did an excellent job at dealing with multiple requests from a disorganized traveling crew. I can't say enough positive things about this rental and the professionals who understand customer service!! Mucho thanks to them.
Property Manager Response: Response from Vacations by the Sea Happy to hear you had a wonderful stay with us and thank you for the praise of our housekeeping and front office staff. All of us try very hard to make staying with us an easy, relaxing, and enjoyable experience and it is good to hear that from a guest. We look forward to you and your group staying with us in the future.
A guest from Edmonds, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in August, 2013 Unfortunately, we were in a unit that has an on-going millipede problem~they seem to come in from below the floor ~ they are not harmful to humans, but they are creepy! The property manager was very professional and did several things to try and lessen the population, which only was minimally successful. We understand they are worse at some times of the summer than other times, but that didn't help our little kids that were fearful. Next time we'll choose an upper floor! Everything else was wonderful!
A guest from Edmonds, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2013 We had a wonderful seven day family reunion of 13 adults, and 8 children under 12 years of age. The beach, the pool and hot tub, and the spacious grounds for bike riding and playing tag kept our kids happy and busy from morning till night! We are appreciative of the amenities that made our 'home away from home'most comfortable and stress free. Staff people were friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Vacations By The Sea and will recommend to our friends and family!
Corrinne S. from Bellingham, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2013 Roomy, comfortable and nicely furnished for a family with kids and a dog. Well appointed kitchen. Pool and other amenities in addition to the beach make it a prime spot for me and my family.
Wayne S. from Sammamish, Washington recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in July, 2013 Really cannot fault this vacation rental, it was our second visit and it won't be our last. By far and away the best rental we've ever stayed at. The staff are really friendly and helpful too. Very highly recommended!
A guest from Redmond, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2012 We really enjoyed our stay at this unit. Really a fantastic vacation, and I would highly recommend it. About the only issue (not the unit owner's fault) was that there's a horn that would sound every few minutes all night, although I got used to it after a while.
Wayne S. from Sammamish, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in August, 2012 Can't speak highly enough about the property and the booking process. Beautiful condo right on a beautiful beach. The only point I would make is that we were disappointed overall with the local restaurants, but the cooking facilities in the unit were just excellent!
Reviewed by: Michael W. recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2012 Awesome visit, weather varied from sunny and warm to overcast and cool during my 3-day weekend, but overall very nice for the coast in May. The condo was spotless and roomy. We always stay in Vacation Rentals and it is fairly uncommon to find them this clean, major positive. So close to the ocean, we love listening to the waves! Will be back & definitely recommend!!
A guest from Enumclaw, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in December, 2011 Great condos, fun location and we hope to return. This particular unit was advertised as ocean view, but you really had to work to "see" the view because it was ground level. We really appreciated the "pet friendly" status even though the carpet showed that it was pet friendly. Would bring my own bath mat next time and if the sleeper sofa was needed, would bring own bedding. Jackie in the office was very helpful and worked with us when our plans changed last minute. We enjoyed our time and wish our stay could have lasted longer.
Property Manager Response: Response from Vacations by the Sea We're glad to hear you found the location and condition of the condo great and plan to visit again. This is a ground floor oceanfront condo with great access to the ocean which may have lead to the confusion about the ocean view. We do post pictures of the view and interior for all our condos on our website so guests can see if the place is what they are looking for. Extra sheets for the sleeper sofa can be found in the bedroom closet. Thanks again for staying with us and we hope you can stay longer next time as well.
Barb L. from Spokane, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in September, 2011 So great to talk to a 'real' person during reservation process. Thanks for letting our dogs stay. We absolutely loved the place. We will be back!
Vicki W. from Auburn, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2011 this was our third girls weekend that we chose Vacations by the Sea...we all love it, very comfortable, I am sure we will return again.....
Property Manager Response: Response from Vacations by the Sea Thanks for coming back to Vacations by the Sea, we hope to see you girls again soon!
A guest from Kirkland, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in July, 2011 Staying at Vacations By the Sea made our beach trip to Westport so fun and relaxing. Our unit was clean and nicely furnished. It was so nice to literally have the beach steps away. We will definitely be back again soon.
Clair B. from Bothel, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2011 We had been looking for a mini-break with friends from England where we could also bring our dogs. This was perfect. The room was gorgeous, right on the beach, with room to stretch out and even have our friends around from next door for a drink or two! Next time we might rent an upper floor just so that we could have the patio door open without the dogs running off!
Nicole J. from Poulsbo, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2011 We had family stay withnus at the condo and it was perfect for the gathering! We got to enjoy the facilities and the ocean just the same!
Courtney B. from Bothell, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2011 Great location when you have kids and a dog. Kids are able to walk out the back door and play in the grass and logs that are super close. My only wish is there were more dishes in the kitchen (a bigger sauce pan) loved this room!
A guest from Renton, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2010 We love the unit and the location and have rented this particular unit before. We struggled with the refrigerater/freezer the entire weekend which was frustrating. since it was over the holiday I didn't think to contact the office as we were only there 2 nights.
Property Manager Response: Response from Vacations by the Sea We're happy to know this is one of your favorite units on property. Please let us know about any appliance issues right away and we will do our best to fix the problem. The problem has been fixed and the refrigerator has been working great since your visit. We hope to see you again soon.
John W. from Suquamish, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in September, 2010 We usually stay in another place up the road from Vacations by the Sea but saw the condos on our last trip down and stopped in to get some info for the next time. Really glad we did because we loved the place and its so close to the beach. We will most certainly be back.
Sidney C. from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2010 Over all it was very clean and pleasant to stay in. We did have ALLOT of those blacke worms in our room which was very gross. They were mostly in small bedroom. Other then that very nice.
Property Manager Response: Response from Vacations by the Sea We're glad you and your family had a great stay in Westport. The little centipedes are sometimes a problem this time of year as they like to come inside out of the heat. We have the buildings professionally treated every month but August is their mating season so they are out and about looking for a good time! Luckily they are completely harmless and just a pesky annoyance. The good news is the season doesn't last long for them and everyone loves this unit for its proximity to the beach and trails.
Chris N. from Farmington, UT recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in August, 2010 The unit was nice; the only issue we had was with the worms, or centipedes, or whatever those things are! They were all over the unit. We kept having to kill them as they crawled across the carpets and surprise us at most turns. Perhaps that is because this was a ground floor unit. That's our only issue!
Property Manager Response: Response from Vacations by the Sea We're glad you and your family had a great stay in Westport. The little centipedes vary from year to year but its just one of those tradeoffs we have to make for having great units so incredibly close to the ocean and dune grass. The Home Owners Association has the buildings professionally treated every month and frequently twice a month this time of year but there are still some of the critters around the building and theydo make it inside to get out of the heat. They are not harmful in any way to pets or human, just pests. Luckily they don't live long and most guests are willing to put up with a few unwelcome guests as a tradeoff for the close proximity this condo offers to the beach and trails.
A guest from Langley, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2010 We had a wonderful family vacation at Vacations by the Sea in Westport. The kids had a wonderful time on the beach building forts out of driftwood and searching for sanddollars and shells.. The beach was beautiful and quiet. The condo was wonderful and it was a home away from home. Our dog enjoyed joing us and had lots of fun chasing the seagulls and swimming in the ocean. We would definately come again.
A guest from Olympia, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2010 We love the property - our children loved the pool and the access to the beach was perfect. The unit smelled slightly musty which is to be somewhat expected given the proximity to the ocean.
A guest from Olympia, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2010 We had a great time and the condo was spotless - right on the sand dunes overlooking the ocean. There is a pool, playground for the kids and BBQ grills to rent - perfect for kids. Our only complaint is the price is a little steep (rivals the cost of a hotel at Disneyland) AND in addition they charge a $75 cleaning fee. That on top of no daily maid service which means no fresh towels, etc. Other than that, an exceptional place to stay.
Lisa U. from Edmonds, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2010 Our stay in unit 812 of Vacations By The Sea was for a relaxing weekend with our kids. We loved the spacious, tastefully decorated unit that allowed us to bring our Bishon with us. The ground floor was convenient and we loved facing the ocean. The bunkbeds were nice for the kids. The only negatives were many centipedes we would find that had come in from outside and the lack of activity downtown at the marina, shops and restaurants due to the impact the economy has had on the area.
A guest from Bellevue, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2010 Desk clerk was completely unknowledgeable about any activities or facilities in the area or within the complex. The area is struggling from the economy so you will have a very "private' stay... but there are few restaurants and the ones that are open (Grill at Half Moon Bay was recommended) seemed to be uninterested in serving people... .After 3 attempts at ordering we left and got food from a local grocery. (: There is no "spa" as listed on the website... they had no clue as to what I was talking about.... and you will not hear any information from the desk clerk as she "isn't sure about the area" but the place is great otherwise. If you are going for relaxation and are ok with cooking your own meals (in a great kitchen) then this is your place. The beach is amazing (but no easy access for anyone who is not limber).... and is virtually uninhabited. We found a glass ball from Japan when there. It was a wonderful experience but just know what you are getting into. This isn't a resort where you will have staff available to help you. The room was really clean and well stocked. We will go again but and strongly recommend it but just understand the lack of facilities nearby and lack of staff support...
