Mary W. from Brooksville, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2016 Great venue for our family reunion! The staff was helpful and accommodating. We were a large group but given plenty of space and opportunity to gather and celebrate without annoying other guests. The spacious, uncrowded beach was delightful for sunbathers, shell collectors, bathers and frisbee tossers alike and the nearby pool offered a tranquil, shaded place to read or float and unwind.
Edward M. from Port Charlotte, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2016 Worst complaint that I have is air in the master bedroom did not work well. Also the ice maker in the fridge was not working.
A guest from Wilmington, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2015 Had my daughters wedding on the island. It was a. Beautiful venue, the wedding cordoba toe (Amy) was very attentive and made sure all logistics were handled. My daughter lives 100 miles from the resort worked with the resort remotely. The 3 bedroom was very spacious. We had 90 people on the island and everyone had a very nice stay.
Tony/ Shawn A. from Clearwater, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2015 3 days of fishing golf carting around the island and our units were spacious clean and right by the pool and a great view of the gulf of mexico the staff at the restaurant and bar very friendly and happy. also front desk are friendly at check in and greet you with a smile the most helpful staff at the rental of golf carts and all the other extras were very helpful everyday thank you to all the staff of palm island this was our 35th visit and will be back again soon,
Sandra N. from Albert Lea, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in March, 2015 Our family had two and three bedroom units in the same building which was so very convenient. The biggest decision we had to make every morning was "POOL or BEACH". Family bonding at the best place ever!
A guest from Moreno Valley, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2015 Resort and property were great. The ferry ride and expense to get back and forth was very expensive. Only allowed two vouchers during stay. Parking was limited if you chose to leave vehicle on mainland.
Joff T. from Placida, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in December, 2014 Our family of six had a great week at a Palm Island villa. The property is beautiful and well-maintained. The grounds are fabulous. But the highlight is definitely the 1-2 miles of sugar sand beach and sunsets. Our kids enjoyed the ocean, as well as swimming in the pool and lounging in the hot tub. We were blessed with beautiful and warm Florida weather throughout our stay. The food at Rum Bay and Leverocks was excellent and we were able to have our annual New Years Eve root beer floats from the ice cream shop. We also enjoyed the island activities including tennis, and even a couple of golf cart parades. All said, this is a fantastic family resort with top notch service and amenities.
Heather T. from Tampa, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2014 We liked the resort and our unit very much. 1524 was decorated nicely, had new nice stainless appliances, a/c worked good although some rooms got colder than others, and it had a nice view. We were pleased and would stay again! The building is set behind the pool so the view is pool & then beach--I may have preferred direct beach but no biggie.
A guest from Lithia, Florida does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 Condo rental was nice, but it really needs to be updated. -kitchen, bathrooms, living room- Flooring throughout the condo needs to be replaced. Furnishings are well worn especially in the living room. Beddings could use a more trendy beachy look. Screened patio needs fixing and MB door to balcony does not lock, even though there are two deadbolts. Location is great.
Tally V. from Tampa, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2014 Palm Island is the most relaxing place there is. We have gone every year in May for the last 6 years and we start talking about it just after Christmas every year. This is our family's favorite place to chill (just added WIFI this year - nice bonus!)
A guest from Buffalo, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in March, 2014 A wonderful condo, but the washing machine was is on its last legs and makes a very, very loud noise when running. It should be fixed or replaced.
Jayne W. from St. Pete, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2013 Despite the arrival of Tropical Storm Andrea a day before our check-in and the location of our villa units being changed a week before due to the owner's wife's rigid demands, we ended up having a truly memorable, relaxing weekend with our children and grandchildren. The staff went out of their way to accommodate all of our requests and graciously introduced themselves upon our arrival on to the island. Each grandchild had a surprise sandbucket full of "goodies" prepared by Debbie awaiting them in the villas....our steak and lobster Birthday Bar-B-Q by the pool was deliciously prepared amidst a late afternoon rain shower and was thoroughly enjoyed by all (highly recommended activity!!!!). From riding around in the golf carts, to playing tennis, swimming in the pool, and riding tandem bikes, a great time was had by all. Even "nature" provided some really cool things for the kids to see - a snake (ugh!!), a big tortoise, a lobster crab found on the beach, rabbits, and a family of manatees under one of the docks...Only suggestion I would have is for Coconuts Café to stock more variety of food items. Big "shout out" to Jimmy, our valet driver, who was so helpful getting our belongings up and down those 3 flights of stairs!
Property Manager Response: Response from Palm Island Resort Jayne,

Jeff H. from Fort Myers, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2012 this is the third year that we have had a couple's weekend at the resort. We have a group of 6 couples, all from the Fort Myers, Fl. area. We have a wonderful time, every year. The resort amenities are great, as is the staff. In addition to playing tennis, we also set up our own croquet game in the field near the playground.Only negative comments: I think the golfcart rentals are too expensive and this year we chose to cook our own meals because last year the dinner at the restaurant was not good. I don't know if it would have improved since last year, since we didn't try it this year.We will definately be back next November.
coleen e. from biscayne park, florida recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2012 We loved our stay at Palm Island so much we added on another day. If you want nothing to do or something to do it's available. We will be back
Anna K. from Simpsonville, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2012 Our recent stay was during Tropical Storm Debby. In spite of the weather, we had a very relaxing weekend. Our villa was well appointed with an updated kitchen and master bath. Our only complaint was the tv in the living room was the only one connected to cable, although all the bedrooms had tvs. Would love to go back when the sun is shining.
Karen N. from Lakewood Ranch, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2012 We stayed here before and really loved all the upgrades on this unit. Will request it again. Love the extra bedding upstairs. Could even use a pullout couch up there for more kids
A guest from Tarpon Springs, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2011 Even with cooler temps kids were happy to swim in heated pool. Great condo accommodation with more than enough room for six. Would happily return
Anne E. from Monroe, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2011 Only drawback as a result of having to be relocated was that the loft bedroom was suitable for little children, not a 20 year old. But she managed.
Olivia S. from Nixa, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2011 My husband, 3 grand children, son, dausghter-in-law, & I had such a wonderful time on the island. Our unit was newly decorated & beautiful. I am sorry to say that I am difficult to please but but I was very pleased with the whole experience. My only regreat is we did not spend enough time there as we had resurvations in Orlando at Bonnet Creek. We will be returning around Thanksgiving for more fun in FL & will spend more time on the island than at Disney.
lori e. from Englewood, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2011 The place was incredible, perfect for out families with the kids. Very nice. the only problem was the ac vents were not working in the master bedroom. It was very hot in there, we had to keep the door open at all times and the fan blasting and the ac in the house turned down and freezing to cool that room. I called maintenance 2x and they never came, which was disappointing.
Melissa V. from Cape Haze, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2010 We have been to Palm Island many times and this year was another wonderful experience. We had an updated 3 bd. villa and it was exceptionally beautiful. We have 3 young children so being near the pool is always a plus for us.
