Stayed for 35 days in March, 2013 The unit (#18 at Oceans One) was so terrible that Vacation Pros pretty much threw up their hands, saying the property owner would have to make improvements, and there was nothing they could do. 28 days at Ocean Club condo # 18 A guest from Glen Mills, PA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 28 days in February, 2013 The location is great---direct acess to the beach.With regard to cleanliness & good-condition, I offer the following:1. The screen doors do not roll on their tacks.2. The micro-wave is in sad shape--- operationally.3. The rugs were very dirty---stained through out.4. The big issue was the bedding. All three beds are in need of replacement (some time ago)---in very bad condition.With regard to the staff---very helpfull, however; could not gain acess to the owner for such issues as internet service or new bedding for next year stay.We would have returned to this property next year were it not for the bedding issue alone. Unit has seen better days, time for an update A guest from fairport, NY does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2012 Unit was dirty (counter tops, windows and carpet) Furniture has iron on patches over the holes, carpet needs steam cleaning or replacing. Kitchen faucet hums loudly every time you use internet conection. On a positive note the air conditioning works well. This unit will need to be updated before I would rent it again. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2011 This was our third stay (within the past four years) at Ocean Club, and have had an enjoyable stay each visit. That being said -The rental unit we stayed in this year could use some general upkeep and could stand a deep cleaning. Or maybe just a decent cleaning in general. Furniture within the unit had patches (I assume to cover holes?) In addition, there were very visible streaks on the dining room table, and outside of the microwave (could write a visible message on the outside of the microwave.) Whether this was due to the type of cleaning solution used, I'm not sure. I do know that I prefer not to enter a partially clean rental unit. There was a number provided to call in case of issues with cleaning - but to be quite honest I feel if the cleaning staff can't properly clean the first time around - I do not want them returning to interrupt my vacation in order to do their job a second time. Other than the overall condition of the unit, our vacation was enjoyable as always. Downtown St. Augustine, and the beach of course are the main reasons we will return in the future. Though I will most certainly not book this same rental unit. Nice vacation Rhonda G. from McDonald, Tennessee recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2011 The description was a little misleading that was listed during booking. There was no bathroom connected to the master bedroom. There is 1 bath upstairs and 1 bath downstairs. The kitchen only had 1 frying pan and it was a small one, which made it difficult to cook breakfast. It was not a fully stocked kitchen as listed. The DVD player was missing; however we reported it Sat upon arrival and by Tues we did have a DVD player. The maintenance man was very courteous. During our stay the toilet lid was broke and he fixed it timely. The location was great. A block off the beach and the pool was exceptionally clean and never crowded. This condo is about 15 minutes from downtown, which was fantastic. We only had 1 key and 2 would have been nice as we had to hide the key since there were 4 adults and we were not all going the same direction. The washer and dryer were awesome. It was great not coming home with dirty clothes. Will return! A guest from Chapin, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2011 The condo was located just a short walk to the beach, which is what we needed with 4 children between the ages of 3-11. As well the pool was 20ft off the back porch. Disappointed as the listing stated that a DVD player was apart of the amenities in the living room, and there was none. As well it is listed "The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed, plenty of closet and dresser space, and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Pamper yourself a little and sleep late in this restful, soothing room!" and by definition and en-suite bathroom is....."An en-suite bathroom or en-suite shower room (also en suite, ensuite and other variations) is a bathroom or shower room attached to and only accessible from a bedroom." Not the case, it is an average bathroom, located in between the 2 bedrooms upstairs, there is no access to the bathroom from either of the bedrooms. Also that walk-in shower is located downstairs not upstairs. Pots and pans were limited. Overall the condo was nice, just wish the listing was a bit more honest on what is provided so that we as guest could have brought our own.
