Tired John M. from Manotick, ON does not recommend this property. Stayed for 57 days in February, 2013 We stayed here last year and had a lot of problems with the unit. The only reason we came back is because the location is the sun, overlooking the pool and tennis courts. This year the bedroom blinds were (still) broken. The bath room tub was dripping ....taps had to be replaced. We couldn't shut the oven door. The dial on the oven wasn't properly installed. We couldn't open half the windows. All the chairs on the balcony were dirty and cracked. These problems were fixed. But don't use the garburator. It backs up. The microwave oven must be the first one ever built...very weak. The lower panel on the screen door is hanging on by a fell off last year and they screwed in back on. The guest bathroom toilet works but squeals like a sick baby after a flush. The couches are very uncomfortable and we had to ask them to clean them. The windows were dirty. Linen was shabby. Kitchen utencils were rusty and dull.To book this unit (with Vacation Rental Pros) for 2 months you have to pay it all in advance. Other realtors just ask for a $250 deposit per month. And Vacation Rental Pros add a 4.9% "admin fee" to the rent. Then they try and sell you cancellation insurance. Staff were helpful. Ocean Village Club - Condo Unit J21 A guest from Mariietta, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 We enjoyed our week's stay in this condo - it was very clean when we arrived (though very short on toilet paper), and we enjoyed our view overlooking one of the pools. However, while the mattress in the master bedroom was very comfortable, the twin mattresses in the guest room were very uncomfortable. Also, the oven didn't work, and the blinds in the master bedroom were broken when we arrived. We didn't report these maintenance issues until we checked out, though, so we don't know how quickly they would have been corrected had we reported them sooner. Overall, though, this was a very nice condo, and we would definitely like to stay in this unit again. Unit J21 at Ocean Club Village Christine H. from Peachtree City, GA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 We enjoyed staying at J21, but would not return to the unit for the following reasons listed below. We would enjoy staying at the Ocean Village Club again, but not in J21 until the items listed below are addressed. 1. The master bed is very uncomfortable. We did not have a comfortable night's sleep the whole week. 2. The bed linens, sheets, pillows, etc. are dated, just as an earlier client stated on the website. Replacing them would be nice. 3. The master bath shower has grout and tiles that are stained with mold/mildew. Gross. 4. The stove needs to be fixed or replaced. The knob which controls the oven cook/broil/etc. setting was replaced with another knob that has no good mark on it to let you know the setting. It took us forever to guess how to turn on the oven and turn it off.5. ONE key and ONE gate pass to the beach access. With a family of 5, it was VERY inconvenient. The rules, etc. clearly state that if a key is lost there is a fine, so let us have another key and beach access card! Vacation Carol H. from Hendersonville, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 Great place to stay! My family loved it, especially the close proximity to the beach. Our only complaint was the mattresses on the twin beds and the sofa bed. The twin bed had a board underneath the top mattress. The sofa bed mattress was the worst bed I have ever slept on. It definitely needs replacement! We also felt that if we were required to run the dishwasher and a load of laundry, the detergents should have been supplied. Altogether, it was a great experience and would definitely us the management rental company again. J21 Ocean Village Club John M. from Manotick, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 55 days in February, 2012 Patty, who works for Vacation Rental Pros, is great. She helped us as best she could with this unit. The units are not cleaned well. This unit has a great location overlooking the pool. But we had to call many times for repairs. Second bathroom sink was leaking underneath. Main Bathroom toilet didn't flush properly. Screen door panel fell off twice. Window blinds don't (and still don't) work. Garburator backed up 3 times. Most bothersome is the new aggressive rental policies Of Vac Rent Pros. They wanted all money up front for next year. Other realtors just ask for a $250 deposit.They have more "fees" than other realtors. For eg a 4.9% "Amenity/ Booking Fee" and a $45 NON REFUNDABLE! Damage Waiver Fee". The only reason we are going back is because my wife likes the location and Patty is wonderful. Basic, but enjoyable A guest from LaSalle, Manitoba recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in January, 2012 The unit was not ready upon our arrival-cleaning continued until 5:00. Furniture was older and uncomfortable; kitchen was well equipped. Lighting issues not resolved (flourescent light in kitchen & globe in hallway, as requested.) Location was great, close to services& attractions and ocean. Quiet & relaxing. Nice, simple condo, easy beach access Samuel C. from League City, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 St. Augustine Beach is a great beach for the family. Very wide, and long, calm surf, and almost no stones or shells under the shallow water. You can pay to drive on the beach, which makes getting all of your beach gear to and from the beach very convenient. No loud music, only a few disgusting smokers, and alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the beach, although a few trashy types still bring some on the beach. 20 minute drive to Old St. Augustine which is wonderful. Lots to shops and decent restaurants. Property was spotless inside, grounds were okay, but could have been better maintained and some trash was visible for the entire week. Did not get picked up. TV in the J21 is too small, and needs to be updated to the 21st century. Overall, nice play to stay and easy in and out.
