Summit Mountain Rental - Gold Camp H 119 - 12/24 to 12/29/15 Peggy M. from Nicholasville, KY recommends this property.
Stayed for 5 days in December, 2015 We had a great skiing experience and loved the location of the condo with ease of access to Black Shuttle run. We were very pleased with the rental experience and the helpfulness of the rental staff who received an important First-Class envelope to their PO Box on our behalf during our stay. We would rate the condominium as above average with a few things that should be upgraded. The 2 living room chairs were basically broken down. There was no smoke detector yet we had a free standing fireplace. The sharp knives were useless. Some of the basic starter supplies (kitchen trash bags & extra bath towels) were not easily recognized or weren't in obvious locations. We would have liked larger soup/cereal bowls and additional larger mixing bowls. The wooden exterior steps were worn, slick, and not standard height which made walking in ski boots a little tricky. FYI - the door knob for the ski locker was very loose and the front door was a little tough to open. There is at least a 1/4" gap at the front door with cold air pouring in. We used a towel as a draft dodger.
Property Manager Response: Response from Summit Mountain Rentals Thank you for your feedback Peggy! Please give us a call should you experience any difficulties. We have fixed the door and I have brought your other recommendations to our team. Thanks again for the feedback.
First time at Breckridge David K. from Plains, KS recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in March, 2014 My daughter and myself really enjoyed ourselves and our condo rental experience. we just loved the location and shuttle waS GREAT
Nice and affordable place to stay Cecilia H. from Highlands Ranch, CO recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in December, 2012 Everything was fairly good. The apartment was warm, confortable with a well equipped kitchen. However, the master bedroom matress was very worn out and for that reason, very unconfortable. Also, some of the blankets were very dirty (one was covered with blood spots).
Property Manager Response: Response from Summit Mountain Rentals We are very sorry to hear the master bedroom mattress was uncomfortable. The mattress is quite firm and only 2 years old. We have removed the stained blankets and replaced them. Thank you for bringing them to our attention. We would have gladely swapped them out immediately if you notified us while you were here. Still, glad to hear you've found the condo fairly good. Thank you.
Great location, but needs an update David F. from Fountain, CO recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in December, 2012 The location of the condo was great. There is a Free Ride shuttle stop just out front and the neighboring area is very peaceful. The interior is dated, but acceptable for what you expect from a vacation condo for the price. The living areas were spacious enough to accommodate out party of 6 comfortably. The main complaint about the unit is the furniture. The queen bed in the master had a sinkhole in the middle that pulled you together, a plastic cover on the mattress that sounded like waxed paper each time you moved, and a bed frame that made lots of noise from only laughing. The 2nd BR was okay and the pull out couch was as expected. All in all, a decent place. If you plan on spending a lot of time at the condo during your vacation, this is not the place you are looking for.
Property Manager Response: Response from Summit Mountain Rentals Thank you for your candid review of the Gold Camp condo. We have checked the mattress, removed the plastic cover on the queen mattress and secured the headboard. This is a basic value condo that provides a comfortable clean space with no frills. We hope those who are on a budget will find it a good value to stay on Peak 8.
Not bad but not great A guest from Roeland Park, KS recommends this property.
Stayed for 3 days in March, 2011 As 4 bachelors on a snowboard trip the place worked pretty well. Very clean and easy to get to, free shuttle right outside your door. The unit is a little outdated and all the beds are uncomfortable but if you are looking for an economical place to stay...check this place out.
Great location and value! Michelle C. from Cambridge, MA recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in March, 2011 We really enjoyed the value and location (just steps from the shuttle to Peak 8 and just down the road from the Nordic Center). The unit was clean and everything was in working order. Our only real complaint was bed comfort, and the very crooked burners on the electric stove. Nonetheless, we would definitely stay in this unit again. Thanks for a great stay!
