The pics from the various websites don't do this house true justice. We were blown away by it beauty in person. I took 4 of my girlfriends for my 40th Birthday weekend. The house is beautifully decorated. By reading the previous reviews on I knew ahead what to pack and what to expect. Only qualm was no washcloths but I packed extras. The kitchen had everything needed for a family feast and cookout. The bicycles, pool equipment, and extra bedding were a pleasant surprise. I was a little confused on securing the home each time we had to leave and we encountered a delay with the security staff at the gate. Otherwise, any maintenance concerns we had were addressed in a timely fashion. I am looking at dates now so I can bring my husband and children back for a get away. Looked as good as advertised. The only issue was the dryer as it took forever for towels to dry. HDTVs in each bedroom would be a nice addition. The remote controls for the pool and spa were awesome. The stairs outside leading up to the balcony which is called the crowns nest was full of bugs, & cob webs, needs to be clean. And would have like a heads up when people are suppose to come to maintain any thing on the property. My daughter was swimming and got a little scared when a stranger walked into the backyard to test the pool water. But we had so much fun in this home i would highly recommend it. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 We had a great stay at this beautiful home! just a few glitches at first - house wasn't cleaned when we arrived and pool filter didn't work but these were worked out very quickly. would suggest a dvd player in the house! also, there were no kitchen towels, washcloths or broom so we had to purchase those items. Overall, the house/furniture was very comfortable, and plenty of room for our 8 adults and 3 kids. the bikes in the garage where a bonus plan with great bike trails all around! the covered pool and patio area were our favorite places to congregate. Five stars BUT: The washer and dryer Melinda K. from Paris, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 When we arrived 20 minutes early... the cleaning crew was there. We were not disturbed and they told us to come on in.Then cleaning crew appoligized that they were there longer than expected because of the dryer. It was not drying. They said that someone was going to be there the next day to fix it. I don't think anyone came. We were in and out and did not worry about being there for the house to get serviced. The dryer would get warm but the I guess not enough because it was a hassle to get our laundry done. It took sometimes running it 3 times. Also I was unhappy about the smell from the washer. It is a front loader and you have to use a special cleaner once a month to keep the seal from developing an odor. I could have complained but I did not feel like it was worth bugging them for something they were aware of, also we were having so much fun it was a minor issue. The odor from the washer may not bother some but I am very sensitive to odors. My family picks at me all the time. The house is beautiful and beds were all great. The pool and hot tub awsome and very relaxing.I usually stay in a house on the beach so I did not know what to expect with the description. The location to the beach was a "short walk to the was about a 10-15 minute walk from the house. If you got there early there was a few parking spaces and from there it was about a 2 minute walk. Fine for older kids but it was a stretch for the 4 year old in our group. Overall minus the washer and dryer I would have given it a 5 star. The house and location were perfect for our young family. We did experience an issue with the pool for the first few days however and were given the run-around from the management company, which resulted in us not having use of the pool for about half of our vacation. Once the pool was fixed, we had no issues. We will definitely come back! Improvements A guest from Arlington, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2012 1.The bonus room has single small leatherette futons for kids. There are no mattress covers or appropriate sheets for these beds.2. The property should have a list of available amenities, i.e. access to beach, access to club pool and access to resort pools.3.The house pool is leaking - needs to be fixed.4.When you rent inludes "heated pool" you expect it to be heated upon arrival. We had to call a pool person who was kind to come Saturday evening to get the pool in working order. It was not useable until Sunday! Sanctuary review A guest from Marietta, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2012 We loved the house and area. Great for our vacation with family and children. Pool and spa were very nice. Close enough to drive to/from Disney in a day. Had two issues - we weren't registered with security but they worked it out fairly quickly and the wireless instructions were not there. Had some issues getting connected but they finally worked it out. Would recommend written instructions at house. The Sanctuary home was one of the best places we have found in Hammock Beach. The home was very clean on our arrival. It is a very modern home with big bedrooms and comfy bathrooms. The main family room is spectacular with its vaulted ceiling and large flat screen tv. The master suite is lovely, so much so that you won't want to leave it. The kitchen is very modern with outstanding granite everywhere. We were able to prepare thanksgiving meal since it is very well stocked with all the things a chef would need. We really enjoyed our time at the Sanctuary home!! The property manager runs a very efficient operation. From the initial selection to the day we left, we were impressed with their processes. Some nice perks were a courtesy call when we arrived to ensure everything was ok and someone showed up on Saturday to haul away the trash. You won't go wrong with this home - I'm sure we will be back soon! Vacation time was limited and we had few choices for the time we had to use. This was actually the only place available in the A guest from Alma, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 Management was exceptional with helping with the trash disposal times. we didn't have any problems with facilities once we found our way around the area. The kitchen is fabulous for anyone who likes to cook (as we did) and the bonus room a lifesaver for our grandchildren's entertainment area. If you like a quiet neighborhood style location, near the beach but not on the beach, this would be a great place for you. The condo was lacking in a few essentials, it seems the owners are just equiping it. Our major complaint is that we were suppose Susan Z. from Duluth, Minnesota does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2011 I believe we paid a fee for this amenity and did not access. Also the code for the internet was difficult to enter.
