Nice view but not ever central for beaches or sight seeing
Peter G. from Edmonton (Kaskitayo), AB does not recommend this property. Stayed for 14 days in April, 2016 Overall we enjoyed the condo. It is becoming a little dated which became apparent a few nights when the winds picked up causing the windows and door to rattle a lot. We really appreciated the beach chairs and sun shade. A big disappointment was that the lanai only had 2 chairs and an end table so we were not able to eat any meals on the lanai. There was lots of building repairs being done when we were there and one day we we asked to leave the pool so that they could paint. On the days we did use the pool the noise and smell (tar from roofing work) from the work didn't make for an enjoyable experience.I would only recommend staying here if you don't mind eating all your meals inside. In addition there is no beach within walking distance.
Christel H. from Oak Park, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2016 I really enjoyed my stay at Sealodge G8. The location in Princeville is beautiful. The condo sits right above the ocean with gorgeous views. The drive to the little town in Princeville with grocery stores, gas and some shops was about 8 minutes. Hanalei, with more shops, good restaurants and beautiful beaches was maybe about a 15 minute drive. Arriving and accessing the condo was easy and we never had a hard time finding parking out front. The condo was clean and had pretty much everything you would need during your stay...beach towels, beach chairs, snorkel gear, boogie board, stocked kitchen. I was really impressed with everything they provided. BUT, I do wish they offered more laundry detergent. It is nice to have a washer/dryer, but there wasn't any detergent supplied. I called the manager and he happily had the maid drop some by...but a box for only one load was dropped off. Would have been nice to have a little more, especially since I had to change my bed sheets. I believe they were clean, but maybe put on the bed while they were still wet because there was a strong mildew odor. My friend who stayed in the room upstairs didn't have an issue with her sheets. The laundry detergent and bed sheet issue are my only complaints, and even given those situations I decided to still rate this place a 5. I feel considering everything else, and the price this condo is a place I would return to and recommend to a friend. One note about Princeville is while it is located in the most beautiful part of the island, a lot of the attractions are on the South or West shore. I found that 5 out my 6 days I drove at least 45 minutes south to get somewhere. I don't mind driving and prefer this location, but if you want to avoid drive time I would maybe suggest splitting your time on the island between the North and South shores.
Jennifer B. from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2016 Great stay. Very nicely appointed unit. Everything you need in the kitchen & tasteful furniture and decorations. Lovely view. As always, SeaLodge is an amazing value and this unit is one of the best.
Sara H. from Anchorage, AK recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in December, 2015 We loved our stay at Sealodge G8. I really love the Princeville area, as it's a quick drive to Hanalei for shopping, activities and food, but it feels very secluded and relaxed. My favorite part about staying at Sealodge is opening the windows and listening to the ocean - so peaceful! This unit is great - well maintained, plenty of room for my family of three, super comfy beds, lots of beach gear (snorkel gear, beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys for the beach), and I love that the wonderful Sealodge beach is right there! In my opinion, this beach is one of the best snorkel spots on the island. The trail is a bit more challenging than I remember from my last visit several years ago, especially after a good rainfall, so be careful on the trek down. We had a couple of issues with the lanai screen door and one of the window screens in the living room, but maintenance was quick to respond. The washer/dryer is a huge plus, as we found ourselves doing quite a bit of laundry (towels especially, with all the visits to beaches and the pool). We loved G8, and we would definitely recommend it to other travelers!
A guest from Campbell, California does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in October, 2015 Pretty bad. The room was quite disgusting. The bedsheets were used! I had to wash them myself and when I asked for more laundry detergent, the owner said I had to provide that myself!Coffee? Tea? Not a chance. Provide it yourself. The location was in Princeville which is ok, but I would rather choose somewhere south next time.
A guest from San Diego, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in September, 2015 Just returned from a glorious Kauai vacation. Living in San Diego relatively close to the water, it was thought that San Diego was paradise. The truth is Kauai is paradise. Enough about Kauai. You've either seen it or you will soon set out to find out for yourself. This unit was perfect. It sits on a 50' bluff with fantastic unobstructed views. The pictures can't do it justice because you have to hear the water, smell the air, feel the breezes and look as far as the eye can see - and from every window. Morning coffee on the lanai or at any window will be as heavenly for you as it was for us. Evening cocktails or just evening relaxation watching the sky and listening to nature just a few feet away - is all you need. The unit is perfectly clean. The unit 'starter kit' was helpful. It has all the creature comforts. We didn't need the TV but it was nice to have. Washer/dryer, coffeemaker, dishwasher, all the basic kitchen stuff you'd need including wine glasses, corkscrews, blender, beach/pool/shower towels, water toys, beach chairs, coolers, ice maker, comfy beds, awesome windows, ceiling fans, unbelievable breezes, pool, free parking, unit placed in a residential community & priceless views. Reservations were a breeze and professional. Notice of the Chilean tsunami was greatly appreciated. HA! We just sat and watched for it. Ha! It never came. Went on the Napali boat tour the next morning. This unit is walking distance from Princeville village for groceries, restaurants, light shopping, if you like to walk. It's 2 miles from Hanalei Bay. It's a great location for daytime exploring and evening relaxing. We read every review for Sealodge units. We read every review for this unit. We loved it. We'd certainly return and stay at this unit again. And again. *If you head to the tropics & you are a bug magnet, bring or buy bug spray.
Han O. from Laguna Niguel, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2015 We were very pleased with our stay, especially having two little ones. The location and view from the condo is unmatched. Each morning we'd get up and walk right outside to have a spectacular view of the sunset over the ocean. I can't forget the experience. We liked it more than the two other hotels that we stayed at, the Grand Hyatt and Marriott. We definitely recommend this condo to anyone who wants to stay on Kauai's north shore.
Joseph E. from novato, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2015 Please tell the owners of G8 that their unit was absolutely the best. The unit was beautifully appointed, quiet, clean, comfortable and well maintained. The only thing we missed was a radio in the living room. We fully intend to rent this unit again, as we have decided that beautiful Kauai is our vacation perfection destination. Mahalo for a wonderful experience ! Aloha!!!
Don F. from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in February, 2015 Sealodge G8 was great - one of the things I prize most in vacation spots is privacy and quiet; and it had both. Great views, wonderful location. Condo is in good condition. I'd go there again.
Susan K. from Albion, Michigan recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2015 Spent 5 days in Sealodge G 8. Plenty of room for both couples. Watched whales from the deck and sunrises from the benches. The ocean roared and waves crashed constantly. It was glorious!
Scott K. from Hudsonville, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 20 days in January, 2015 This was our second stay in G8 and we love the panoramic view. The art on the walls is great in this well maintained and comfortable unit. The addition of wall mounted reading lights over the bed was a great idea. We previously stayed in Poipu which was wonderful but we found ourselves driving to the north end so much we tried staying there. We loved its proximity to Kilauea with the lighthouse and Kong Lung Center, Hanalei Bay and Ching Young shopping center, and Ke'e beach and the Kalalau trail. The unit is well appointed and had everything we needed. We will be returning again next year and appreciate Ahh Aloha's friendly service in re-booking!
A guest from Olympia, Washington recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in January, 2015 The view looks just like the pictures in the description. We watched whales spouting in the distance from our windows. The property was very clean and comfortable. Everything worked fine. We had a great time and the weather was perfect. We found a great little fruit stand in Hannalei Bay that made really tasty fruit smoothies.
Ken W. from Topanga, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in December, 2014 Great place for a family gathering - wonderful views, convenient location and comfortable condo. We had a great time. Generally well equipped but we would recommend some new kitchen pots and pans.
A guest from Queen Creek, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in September, 2014 The best aspect of G8 is the ocean views. We went to sleep each night to the sounds of the ocean. It was truly amazing! The only negative comment I have about the condo is the lack of fans. It needs a couple more ceiling fans one for the master bedroom and one for the living area. If there is no wind coming in from the outside it can get a little toasty inside. Other than the lack of fans we would definitely stay there again ! It was clean and didn't have any odd smells. It was well appointed and included beach chairs and snorkel stuff .
Shannon C. from Alameda, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2014 Fabulous place. Feels very private for being part of a condo complex. Views can't be beat. Wake up to the sunrise. Get home in time to see the sunset. Fall asleep to the sounds of the surf. All from this great little place. It has everything you need, from kitchen ware to W&D to beach and snorkel gear. The bed is comfy, sheets are high-quality. The place is very clean and light and airy. And the North Shore location can't be beat. It was the perfect place for us. We wish we lived there! The only thing I would like to change is the reservation process--it should be online and automated and should not rely on faxing (the company lost my signed contract the first time I faxed it) or on mailing checks.
A guest from huntington beach, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2014 Lets just get this done up front. It is as perfect as in the picture!!! On the 2nd floor & no share walls with other units, very very quiet. All you can hear daily is the waves off the balcony. Fully stock kitchen with dishware & cooking utensils, fridge with ice maker ( you will appreciate this by the 2nd day guaranty!!), in house washer & dryer, endless. bath towels. Check in & out are fully automated so it was a breeze. House was squeaky clean upon our arrival.Location couldn't be better! Very quiet community, literally 3 blocks away from Queen's Bath & Princeville center. To sum it all up, just Perfect!!!!
A guest from Santa Rosa, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2014 We stayed at Sealodge G8. Beautiful quiet location, clean and modern condo. Everything was in order and really enjoyed our stay.
A guest from Fort Worth, Texas recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 This location was perfect. It's an amazing oceanfront, corner unit. Even the bedrooms view the ocean. We awakened each day by laying in bed watching the sunrise over the ocean and went to bed each night with the beautiful sound of waves crashing on the beach. The condo was furnished with beach toys, snorkel gear, etc. -- everything you will ever need. We loved it!!
georgina m. from adelaide, south australia recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2014 This set of units has a lovely position by the ocean. Lovely views esp from top bedroom and our daughter loved her top bedroom and bathroom. Great winds come through so usually not too hot although no air con. Slightly faded in general with old pool and deteriorating woodwork eg stairs and windows but they take a battering in this location. Unit is small but very clean and well equipped. Very musty on arrival, they should get some wind through prior to arrival as it cleared once opened up. Electricity unusual, you soon learn to keep a light on at night as the switches are very hard to find and one by main door does nothing. Only real complaints were very small balcony (go ground floor for a better one) that only 2 can sit on and total lack of blackout curtains so you wake with the dawn no matter what! Very good beds. The fly screens fell out twice, send an email to address given about it but nothing happened and no flies anyway so not worth pursuing. Wifi worked fine. Tiny kitchen but everything there to cook with. Good beds. Plenty of beach stuff in cupboards. Had to tidy said cupboards up a bit to get any room for cases but easily done. We loved the peaceful location and access to rest of Island. Very good instructions from agent re shopping en route etc.
Byron C. from Hudson, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2014 Great location; Very nice condo. Exterior was very ugly. Location and condo more than made up for exterior. We will absolutely stay again.
Property Manager Response: Response from Ahh Aloha Kauai Vacation Rentals The Sealodge grounds are beautiful! The building exteriors are shingled, the shingles are weathered, and it's not a look you'd expect in a tropical location. Fortunately, once you're inside all you notice is the view, and you can't see the shingles :-)
I was very pleasantly suprised with our location .
Leah R. from Lonoke, Arkansas recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2014 I loved how cute the condo was and how close to the ocean it was. It was priced well and it made our stay so much more relaxing than a hotel would have been, it was prefect for us.
A guest from Overland Park, KS recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2014 The outside was, as described in other reviews, a little worn looking. View is very nice, easy walk to beach access or pool. Window would not open in front room made it hard to cool down on arrival. Kitchen amenities adequate.
Very nice stay in a beautiful North Shore of Kauai
Marzena S. from Sopot, Sopot recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in February, 2014 The location of this condo is superb! Awesome views, sound of waves putting you to sleep and waking you up in the morning is priceless. We woke up every morning for sunrise (due to time zone change)and stroll at the cliffs with a cup of coffee. Although Sealodge builgings look a little bit dated outside the condo was in a good condition, clean and well prepared for our visit. We didn't spend much time during the day since we like to explore but mornings and evening were peaceful and relaxing to all of us. If we ever come back to Kauai again we definitely would consider this place to stay.
Sylla M. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in February, 2014 We spent four quick nights here and it was perfect. From watching the ocean on a rainy morning to cooking our own food, the place was perfect. We loved the location (there is a hike to a beach nearby, and Hanalei Bay is only five minutes away). The condo was perfectly stocked, the beds were very comfortable and it even came with a few boogie boards! We will definitely stay here again!
A guest from Littleton, Colorado recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2014 We rented the 1 bedroom plus loft Sealodge G8 unit January 18th through 21st. The last time I stayed at Sealodge was about 4 years ago. The Sealodge community has some of the most outstanding patio views in Princeville. You won't be disappointed if the view is a primary concern for your stay. However, I was a bit leary about renting at Sealodge again due to the age of the property and the wear and tear of the unit we rented 4 years ago. The unit I stayed in earlier was not updated. The G8 unit we rented this time was very comfortable. The owner has put in some nice updated touches. This includes brand new carpet (it still smelled like new carpet when you entered the unit), a remodeled master bath, and new kitchen appliances and cupboards. I was very pleased with this unit and would stay again. The owners thoughtfully provided beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and beach towels to take on your journeys. The north shore of Kauai was enjoying some record breaking surf while we were staying. I'll never forget the unforgettable Hanalei Bay and North Shore light on this stay. The surf would hit the shore with such force that the water droplets were visibly picked up by the winds and carried into the interior. When you were looking at this in to the sun, it appeared that the air was sparkling and shimmering. I've never seen anything like it and it won't be something I'll ever forget. Can't wait to get back to Kauai and Sealodge.
A guest from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2013 Extremely pleasant with an amazing view. Convenient to shops and all the beaches. Extremely quiet (no roosters thankfully) and clean. Will definitely visit again.
Alison G. from Lower Hutt, Wellington recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2013 Gorgeous spot overlooking Anini Reef. The condo is nicely decorated, spacious and well-equipped and we had a fantastic stay. Short drive to Hanalei and some idyllic beaches. True to the photos and listing.
Shirley O. from San Marcos, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2013 We spent three nights in August at the Sealodge. The winds from the open windows and fans supplied in bedroom closets helped us deal with August temperatures. The view of the beach and the stars at night were wonderful. Getting to the Sealodge Beach was a challenge.
nice location, balot of excessive costs in addition to rental fee
Vincent L. from Mamaroneck, New York does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2013 I think the cleaning fee was extremely high for a 3 day rental for 1 person. Given the rate was 119 per day the actual cost is closer to 190 dollars after all the additional charges
A guest from Fresno, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 Breath taking views from every room. We watched the beautiful sunrise each morning. EXTREMELY clean!!! The linens were very clean and very nice furnishing. Grounds are very well manicured and kept. Very quiet. The only downfall is the bedrooms needed ceiling fans. We were lucky that my brother lives in Princeville so we borrowed fans from him. Our granddaughters loved having their own space. We would DEFIANTLY stay there again!
A guest from Oak Park, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2013 Nice unit, great view, loved the in-unit washer/dryer. Only stayed for 2 nights (was tough to find less than 3 night minimum anywhere in Princeville), so didnt get to really fully experience everything the SeaLodge had to offer. My only complaint - ants were crawling all over the kitchen prior to our arrival... had to spray with provided ant killer. Not a deal breaker, still loved the unit, but a little gross and inconvenient to deal with.
A guest from Los Angeles, California recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2013 We felt like we really lucked out finding this place. It was perfect. It looked like it had been recently remodeled so it felt current, not like we were staying in some place from the 80's or 90's. It was tastefully done in a comfortable island style. It was clean and totally stocked for cooking and going to the beach- towels, beach chairs, fins, snorkels, masks. There was a gorgeous view from the lanai and a jungle-y trail to a secluded beach a short walk from the condo. It was so nice to be able to stay here instead of a hotel. And nice to have leisurely breakfasts at the condo instead of having to rush out in the morning.Princeville is very nice, quiet and relaxing. We'd definitely stay again.
Lynn L. from McDonough, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in May, 2013 Very pleased with our accommodations. Would have been nice if windows had been opened day of our arrival - very hot first night. Small fans provided not enough - need ceiling fans in bedrooms. Lovely view and great location! Appreciated all the beach items (chairs, mats, etc) that were available.
Lindsay B. from Puyallup, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2013 We stayed in G8. So I can only speak for this unit. First it looks very nice when you walk in, but after you look around a bit you start to see some problems. Major problem was the fact that there were three locations where smoke alarms should have been but were not, so that alone should have stopped this property from being rented. Second issue wasn't major, was the black mold we saw along the tile tub corner in the upstairs bathroom. Third was all the soap bottles had been refilled with water so the soap was extremely diluted. I feel that the property management company needs to check into who they hire for cleaning these units.
A guest from Orem, UT recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2013 The condo was clean and the view was gorgeous. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to families with little children because of the steep stairway to the loft, but it is perfect for families with older children or for couples. Again, the view was spectacular.
A guest from Thornton, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2013 Every stay at SeaLodge is wonderful, and we never stay anywhere else. The cliffside ocean view is unbeatable. The updates in this unit are tastefully done, especially the gorgeous master shower and furniture throughout. Having nice furnishings really does make the experience feel more special. Mahalo!
Sylvia V. from Bellingham, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2013 I could tell from the photos that G8 was lovely and indeed, when we walked in and saw Anini Reef past the green lawn, we were entranced. The condo was well-maintained and full of light, in a great spot at the end of a quiet road in Princeville. I stayed in one of the twin beds in the loft and the sunrises from my bed were spectacular. We had one problem though. The upstairs toilet overflowed for no good reason and although I managed to stop the flood, it was huge enough to take every towel I could find. Luckily, property management sent someone to adjust the water level right away and it was fixed. But if it's ever replaced, I'd suggest a low-flow brand. Great property management there.I spent half my vacation in Kapaa but love the north shore and would stay at this condo the whole time next visit. It's such a sweet area, very low-key, and the beaches nearby are really good. Thanks so much to the owners for providing an airy spacious, thoughtfully decorated haven. We all loved it.
A guest from Woodland, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in April, 2013 This place will leave you spellbound - the sight and sound of the waves fills all the hours of the day and night. The sunrise each day is unpredictably beautiful and unique. Sea Lodge is a quiet location. Anyone you meet is friendly and relaxed. We were lucky to have sunny days, without rain storms, during our week on Kaua'i. The price is right, too! This is not a fancy resort and some may call the accomodations cramped, but we found Sea Lodge to be a perfect place to enjoy an escape from the daily grind. PS to owners: the coffee maker needs to be replaced as it has a little leak and does not make hot coffee. We used the coolers and plastic "ice block" daily; washer and dryer are great amenities; screen door to lanai can be difficult to slide. Thank you for opening your place to strangers -
A guest from Delta, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 Overall our stay was great. If you want to know the little things that were slightly bothersome, then here they are: windows could have been cleaner (don't want to miss any of that view!), lot's of cobwebs in the common areas (just spiders doin' their jobs keeping the bugs away...) and some tiny little ants around the kitchen sink (can't find a positive for that one!). No deal breakers here - we had a fantastic time and would most definitely return. Mahalo.
Amy L. from Portola Valley, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2013 This condo was great. The location in Princeville is great -- near Hanalei and north shore attractions -- and the view was amazing -- you are right on the ocean, with views from the living room and both bedrooms. It is very windy there, but the sounds of the wind and ocean will put you right to sleep at night. The beds are super comfortable. The condo has all you need and was clean and nice. My one complaint is that the dining room chairs really need cushions and there could be better lighting in the living room.
Paula A. from Clinton, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2013 This condo was wonderful, the best part being the unobstructed view of the ocean with whales jumping in the distance. The condo was well stocked and comfortable. The general area was a bit too man made/manicured for us as we prefer wild beauty. Having a grocery store stocked with organics nearby was a plus.
A guest from Huntersville, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in December, 2012 Good layout for a mother/daughter vacation. Great views of the ocean from the bedrooms and family room. Nice to hear the ocean. Upstairs bathroom could use updating. Very happy with the customer service from Ahh Aloha.
Lori C. from Juno, AK recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2012 We very much enjoyed our stay at Sealodge G8. We woke each morning to a glorious sunrise and fell asleep each night to the sound of crashing waves. The condo was clean, comfortable and offered everything we needed. We hope to one day come back.
A guest from Morrison, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2012 Loved our stay at Sealodge G8. Perfect place to relax and recoup after our daily Kauai adventures. Loved the sound of surf at night and sunrises from the bed. Highly recommend.
Daniel V. from Dewey, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in September, 2012 We very much enjoyed our too-brief stay on Kauai in Sealodge G8. This unit was spotless, very well equipped and in an excellant location. We went to at least six beaches on the north shore of Kauai, but one of the best was the Sealodge Beach. Magical time in a beautiful location.
A guest from Arvada, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2012 The place was ok. Not amazing, but worth the price I think. Great view, great beach, greak snorkeling/beach equiptment, and great condo ammenties. Not great noise from adjoining condos, water leak (minor), ants, broken screen that took two days to get fixed. We were not impressed with the communication from the maintenance people or the checkout instructions. It wasnt "we need to get out of here bad", but it was annoying and rather frustrating at times.
A guest from Southbury, CT recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2012 we had such a lovely time, as we enjoyed our stay here in Sealodge G8. The property was super clean, close to the beach and had everything we needed from a full kitchen, to snorkeling gear, to a fully remodeled bathroom (I loved the shower!) We would stay here again!
Susan P. from Vancouver, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2012 great views! the beach is difficult to access but it's close enough to many other beaches it didn't really bother us. beautiful inside, but quite dated and shabby outside. the pool could be cleaner (lots of sand at the bottom) but mostly people are at the beaches anyway. the windows could use some maintenance as they make quite a bit of noise in the wind, the screen door needs to be replaced as it is damaged and doesn't slide anymore, and the door to the main bedroom makes a lot of noise if you actually close it and have any of the windows open, which you need to for a breeze so that could be updated as well. other than that, it was terrific and we would definitely consider staying again!
Jeanette J. from Rohnert Park, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2012 We LOVED staying here! We will definitely go back and have already encouraged our friends to stay here. Having a place right by the ocean was great especially when it rained heavily during a few of our days. We relaxed while reading our books with the view of the ocean. The place was even stocked with books to read too.We found our little paradise!
A guest from Irvine, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2012 We had a great vacation at G8 Sealodge. Beautiful views and weather, and the condo was so nicely furnished. We were right on the bluff and saw whales and sunrises and sunsets. Sealodge beach was a short hike away and had great snorkeling near shore. Saw giant turtles our last day- so awesome. Hope to be back again! Thank you for a wonderful stay.Amy
Thorsten W. from Berlin, Berlin recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in February, 2012 We arrived at the Sealodge G8 unit when it was already dark. Nevertheless we could immedieately see and hear how great the ocean view would be the next morning. The layout of the unit is very good with the seperated guest bedroom and guest bath upstairs. The view from the living room as well as from the balcony is breathtaking and you are a little protected from the typical wind.We had an issue with the waterheater, which was fixed within hours after I called the maintainance guy, as well as dropped an email to Ahh Aloha Kauai. Couldn't have been better or quicker than that!Everything was equals to or better as promised, the only downside is the terrible looks of the Sealodge clusters from the outside, but what do I care what they look from the outside, when they are great inside?Due to multiple leaks the ceilings got repainted at several spots. Repainting the whole ceiling per room wouldn't be a big project, but had a great positive effect on the overall condition of the unit (which was good). We'd definitely recommend this unit to anybody else!Thank you Ahh Aloha Kauai for the perfect organization!
A guest from Santa Fe, NM recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in February, 2012 This was my second stay at Sealodge. I love the location directly on the cliff. I also love the low key, private feeling of this small complex. G-8 was very comfortable for three adults and adequately equipped. Mahalo.
A guest from Anchorage, AK recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in January, 2012 very peaceful, fabulously equipped condo, but would have appreciated a standup fan for bedroom.Decor lovely, place well maintained, deck feels a bit closed in, but nonetheless beautiful view - would visit again.
Michelle L. from Los Angeles, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2012 This unit has a great view, and is nicely stocked with the basics. Everything about it seems tastefully done. The adjacent walk down to a secluded beach is a little difficult, but worth it!
Alana J. from Campbell River, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 12 days in December, 2011 It was great! Well stocked, lovely view, nice and clean. Only complaint - the lock was super temperamental. It took us about 25 tries the 1st time to get in. Then every once in a while it was really hard to get in. The lock buttons just seemed to stick every once in a while. Other than that it was great and I would recommend it. We were super glad we stayed in the North of Kauai...such a special place.
Glenn B. from Fair Oaks, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in September, 2011 A perfect place to enjoy the North Shore with whitewater views and comfy features from the cable TV to the kitchen, with everything to enjoy the ocean and the beach...a can't miss condo for any season and any dream!
A guest from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2011 We stayed here for our honeymoon. We enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean and spending time on the balcony stargazing. The kitchen was satisfactory- it had knives, pots, pans and a big fridge. There were also beach towels and chairs which was great. We would stay here again and recommend to family and friends. Thank you!!
Mary V. from Garden Grove, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2011 The location on the bluff, the privacy, the clean and artistic interior, the amazing sunsets and sunrises all in view from the bluff. Couldn't have been better.
A guest from Garden Grove, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in July, 2011 It took us four days to get the manager to get our phone replaced. We could receive calls but could not call out.Time Warner was there twice and said that the line was okay.
Holly B. from Pleasanton, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in May, 2011 Wonderful vies and condo has all that you need. Watch the sunrise from your bed, no kidding! The location of this property, above Anini beach is breathtaking, vies for miles and I have seen whales frolicking just outside in plain view during whale watching season. Perched on a bluff, the fact that there is no A/C is not an issue as the trades blow right through. Even in poor weather the weather watching from here is fantastic. More suitable for couples and singles or groups without children, as there is a pool but not tons of amenities for kids.
A guest from Escondido, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2011 Beautiful view, lovely ocean breeze. The only neg. thing is the roosters/chickens.We've been coming to SeaLodge for20 years and never before have there been so many. Disruptive to the peaceful atmosphere. Maybe the homeowners organization can do something.
My wife and I just completed a 7 night stay at Sea Lodge unit G8, We had a fantastic time and the unit was just as described. We
Kerry D. from Perth, ONT recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2011 Are only regret was that no one was able to travel with us to enjoy the second bedroom. We hopefully wi;ll return one day for a longer stay
A guest from Winfield, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2011 We had the most fantastic holiday. G8 was awesome clean and very comfortable. The view was outstanding. Such a great property. Everything was amazing. Don't think you could improve on anything. We loved G8 and will tell our friends. I took a couple cards. We also want to come back soon.
Jennifer B. from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in January, 2011 The view is spectacular! The grounds are beautiful. We have stayed at SeaLodge off and on for many years. This unit (G8) was by far the best appointed/decorated. It was just lovely. Lots of nice touches to make it feel special. And several extras that made our stay easy and pleasant. I like to cook so having a really sharp knife was important, and ample cookware and utensils, pretty dinnerware, etc. They supplied pool towels, a cooler and boogie board! We were thoroughly satisfied with our stay in G8.
Sharon J. from San Jose, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in October, 2010 Another great time at G8 in Sealodge! Waking up to a gorgeous sunrise every morning, falling asleep to the sound of the surf, and looking up at the incredible sky each night was so peaceful. Went to a different beach every day! Had a wonderful time!!!!
