I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to families with little children because of the steep stairway to the loft, but it is perfect for families with older children or for couples. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2013 I could tell from the photos that G8 was lovely and indeed, when we walked in and saw Anini Reef past the green lawn, we were entranced. The condo was well-maintained and full of light, in a great spot at the end of a quiet road in Princeville. I stayed in one of the twin beds in the loft and the sunrises from my bed were spectacular.We had one problem though. The upstairs toilet overflowed for no good reason and although I managed to stop the flood, it was huge enough to take every towel I could find. Luckily, property management sent someone to adjust the water level right away and it was fixed. But if it's ever replaced, I'd suggest a low-flow brand. Great property management there.I spent half my vacation in Kapaa but love the north shore and would stay at this condo the whole time next visit. It's such a sweet area, very low-key, and the beaches nearby are really good. Thanks so much to the owners for providing an airy spacious, thoughtfully decorated haven. We all loved it. |

The sunrise each day is unpredictably beautiful and unique. Sea Lodge is a quiet location. Anyone you meet is friendly and relaxed. We were lucky to have sunny days, without rain storms, during our week on Kaua'i. The price is right, too! This is not a fancy resort and some may call the accomodations cramped, but we found Sea Lodge to be a perfect place to enjoy an escape from the daily grind. PS to owners: the coffee maker needs to be replaced as it has a little leak and does not make hot coffee. We used the coolers and plastic "ice block" daily; washer and dryer are great amenities; screen door to lanai can be difficult to slide. Thank you for opening your place to strangers - |

If you want to know the little things that were slightly bothersome, then here they are: windows could have been cleaner (don't want to miss any of that view!), lot's of cobwebs in the common areas (just spiders doin' their jobs keeping the bugs away...) and some tiny little ants around the kitchen sink (can't find a positive for that one!). The location in Princeville is great -- near Hanalei and north shore attractions -- and the view was amazing -- you are right on the ocean, with views from the living room and both bedrooms. It is very windy there, but the sounds of the wind and ocean will put you right to sleep at night. The beds are super comfortable. The condo has all you need and was clean and nice. My one complaint is that the dining room chairs really need cushions and there could be better lighting in the living room. |

Great view, great beach, greak snorkeling/beach equiptment,and great condo ammenties. Not great noise from adjoining condos, water leak (minor), ants, broken screen that took two days to get fixed. We were not impressed with the communication from the maintenance people or the checkout instructions. It wasnt "we need to get out of here bad", but it was annoying and rather frustrating at times. |

Stayed for 5 days in June, 2012 great views! the beach is difficult to access but it's close enough to many other beaches it didn't really bother us. beautiful inside, but quite dated and shabby outside. the pool could be cleaner (lots of sand at the bottom) but mostly people are at the beaches anyway. the windows could use some maintenance as they make quite a bit of noise in the wind, the screen door needs to be replaced as it is damaged and doesn't slide anymore, and the door to the main bedroom makes a lot of noise if you actually close it and have any of the windows open, which you need to for a breeze so that could be updated as well. other than that, it was terrific and we would definitely consider staying again! |

Nevertheless we could immedieately see and hear how great the ocean view would be the next morning. The layout of the unit is very good with the seperated guest bedroom and guest bath upstairs.The view from the living room as well as from the balcony is breathtaking and you are a little protected from the typical wind.We had an issue with the waterheater, which was fixed within hours after I called the maintainance guy, as well as dropped an email to Ahh Aloha Kauai. Couldn't have been better or quicker than that!Everything was equals to or better as promised, the only downside is the terrible looks of the Sealodge clusters from the outside, but what do I care what they look from the outside, when they are great inside?Due to multiple leaks the ceilings got repainted at several spots. Repainting the whole ceiling per room wouldn't be a big project, but had a great positive effect on the overall condition of the unit (which was good).We'd definitely recommend this unit to anybody else!Thank you Ahh Aloha Kauai for the perfect organization! |

Watch the sunrise from your bed, no kidding! The location of this property, above Anini beach is breathtaking, vies for miles and I have seen whales frolicking just outside in plain view during whale watching season. Perched on a bluff, the fact that there is no A/C is not an issue as the trades blow right through. Even in poor weather the weather watching from here is fantastic. More suitable for couples and singles or groups without children, as there is a pool but not tons of amenities for kids. |

The grounds are beautiful.We have stayed at SeaLodge off and on for many years. This unit (G8) was by far the best appointed/decorated. It was just lovely. Lots of nice touches to make it feel special. And several extras that made our stay easy and pleasant. I like to cook so having a really sharp knife was important, and ample cookware and utensils, pretty dinnerware, etc. They supplied pool towels, a cooler and boogie board!We were thoroughly satisfied with our stay in G8. |
