Ulrike M. from Kakenstorf, XX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2016 We really can recommend this unit! It is clean, nice decorated and you will have a great view to the Pacific from every point of the apartment.
Robyn A. from Buhl, ID recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2016 Loved hearing the ocean as we were falling asleep! A gorgeous view to wake up to every morning! Loved the cool tradewinds in the afternoons to keep us cool. Great experience with rental staff. The outside may look run-down-but inside was clean and fresh. Would recommend to friends!!
Julie B. from Bend, Oregon recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2016 We really enjoyed our stay recently at SeaLodge. There are two things that come to mind that would improve the accommodations. Some of the lanai decking boards are coming loose and your really have to be careful not to get the chair legs into the crevises. Hopefully no one has been injured so far. There are two tables on the lanai and the top to one of them must have been broken. It needs to have another top or get rid of it. The property itself was well maintained and we enjoyed our stay.
Derek S. from new lisbon, WI recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in February, 2016 four of us stayed here for 10 nights and we were very pleased with the place. I thought the views from both floors are absolutely amazing, and it was very quite except for the sound of the crashing waves. The unit was well stocked with what we needed for our stay the kitchen was well stocked but was missing a pizza cutter. Otherwise there was more than i would have expected, the only thing i would say would be nice to have there would be a cooler to take to the beach or while out and about. The beach was very nice to visit it was secluded and we had it too ourselves a couple times. There is a Foodland grocery store just a few miles away in the Princeville shopping center. We used the laundry a couple times and it was close by which was nice, but was easily missed because there was no sign on the door. It takes 10 quarters to wash and dry a load and there is no change machine near by that i could find, so hold on to those quarters. Overall it was a nice place to stay while on our adventure to Kaua'i and would highly recommend to anyone i know to stay here.
A guest from naples, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in January, 2016 Such a good location to watch the ocean from. The property was well equipped and very comfortable. Was suitable for 4 people and great views from everywhere.
A guest from port moody, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2015 Family of 4 stayed for just over a week. When we got to the place, we were stunned by the view the place had and how cute the place was. Place was nice and clean with extra gears for beach days. Location was great as if is near hanalei and supermarket. There is a beach near the place. Trail was not so great due to mosquitos and mud after rain, but it was amazing. Nice quite place you can snorkel to see lots of fish. We had fantastic time.
Paula P. from Carlsbad, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2015 Pros: 1. AMAZING unobstructed ocean view. You will never tire of it. Note that you will see the sunrise, but not the sunset. The sunrises are spectacular.2. Two full bedrooms and bathrooms. The upstairs is technically a loft, but it has more privacy than the downstairs bedroom (see Cons below).3. The grounds are immaculate. Great views from everywhere.4. There is zero traffic noise - you will only hear the surf below. The neighbors have generally all been quite quiet.5. Terrific location near Princeville Center, for grocery shopping and coffee6. Close to Princeville Ranch for a great selection of outdoor activities7. Walk down a jungle path to an almost secret beach. 8. The pool is nice and rarely in use. Great view from the pool area.Cons:1. The kitchen is showing its age. Appliances are outdated, the blender is from the Stone Age. Hey! I like my pina coladas!2. WIFI... ugh. I know, I know, you're on vacation, why do you need WIFI? Some of us to have to connect to work, and it would be nice to stream a movie. I did a speed test... 1.4 Mbps. That's almost dial-up modem speed!3. The flat screen TV is maybe 36" on a good day. And it appeared that nothing was in HD.4. There used to be an according door that afforded some privacy to the downstairs bedroom. I guess it finally broke and the owner cheaped out and didn't replace it. Now there's a folding screen that we didn't even bother with. C'mon owner, spend a few bucks.5. For those of you who like new and modern, the outside of the property may scare you when you first drive up. Do not run away! My guess is that they were built in the 1970's. They're various shades of faded or blackened wood shingles. It's all in very good condition, just old.6. Know that the property is on the cliffs, and not on the beach.
Lucinda S. from Dana Point, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 21 days in August, 2015 G 7 has the best view in all of Sealodge! Nice condo, very comfortable. We have stayed in this condo year after year after year. Easy parking; close to laundry. Although rarely needed, Ahh-Aloha staff is always available and very responsive.
Joyanne L. from Auckland, Auckland City recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2015 Had a wonderful time stayin at Sealodge, Kauai. Perfect location for rest and relaxation, as well as exploring this beautiful island. Our condo had everything we needed, and was lovely to hear the sound of the sea and gaze at the glorious view.
A guest from Damascus, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in June, 2015 Fabulous view of the ocean and lighthouse. Nicely updated facilities. However, the condos are a combination of permanent residents & vacationers. You will immediately be "greeted" with a note from the people below, requesting silence! Aloha!
Bryan P. from Visalia, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2015 Perfect location in Princeville. Very quiet area. Awesome views of the coral reef, sunrises and sunsets (you have to go outside and walk over to the A group to see the sunsets). The private beach is a beautiful place to snorkel. We were just 5-10 minutes from Hanalei town which made it easy to enjoy but could escape to solitude when it got too busy. Everything we wanted to do was available locally, surf, SUP, boat tour, hike Napali, dining, shopping and most of all relaxing!
Elisabeth K. from Davis, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in March, 2015 We had a lovely stay at Sealodge G7. The view is outstanding. We never allowed ourselves to recover from jet lag, instead opting to wake up before the sun every morning and drink our coffee as we sat on the window seat while watching the day break and the whales breach as they passed by. Just breathtaking.
Jean S. from Friday Harbor, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2015 The view was absolutely stunning! The extras, such as snorkels, beach towels, fully stocked kitchen, were very helpful. Property is a little dated, and the beds are FIRM. Overall, I would recommend this property.
Cynthia D. from Sedro Woolley, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2015 I don't think you will get a better condo view of the ocean than this property! That being said, they are older condos, and there is nothing wrong with that, but I did feel they could have been cleaned better.
A guest from San Francisco, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 12 days in December, 2014 Depending on your needs and desires, this may or may not fit. I would not have more than 2 adults in the unit and it gets tight when you add children even though 2 bed/2 bath; with children this is not a good unit as there is no soundproofing between floors or units! Other than on bedroom & kitchen windows there are no window coverings; Keyless entry is very convenient. Microwave was broken but is now new as it was replaced (which took 4 days); Maintenance took calls but didn't call back and requests not completed timely - better to call the 800 vs. the local for maintenance; self-help for internet connection issues which prevented use for 2 days; No plastic cups, containers or other stuff to take to beach except broken umbrellas; fortunately we had 2 units which combined provided needs for most part but supplies are lackingBBQ area far from condos as well as small and down a bit and awkward to get to; Pool is arctic cold and not useful as well as very small; grounds were maintained nicelyLocation to grocery was nice and good running trail nearby; easy hike to nice private beach, but don't expect sun due to location.
Terry A. from Pasadena, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 8 days in October, 2014 First the Pros:Can't beat the beautiful location on the north shore of Kauai. The beds were comfortable. Now the Cons:The downstairs toilet was plugged up when we arrived. Not a good omen. When we arrived on Wednesday one of the fans didn?t work. MONDAY afternoon one was delivered. The microwave doesn?t work. There was a mildew/grease built up on the blinds looking out the kitchen window. It was black looking and gross. I sent pics to Ahhaloha. The lack of anything left in the condo by any previous guest for future guest. This is the 4th time I have been to Kauai and there are always some spices or soy sauce or catsup or seasonings left for the next guest. Something. Housekeeping left one salt shaker and one little bottle of sprinkles that go on cup cakes. THAT?S IT. When I mentioned it to Sandy she said the rule was for them to throw out all left over food. That was the excuse. Housekeeping picked the place clean like buzzards. Was there an igloo in the condo for taking things to the beach? Nope. Housekeeping. Now tell me who buys an igloo and takes it on the plane back to the states. Nobody. We did buy a cooler but when we left we gave it to another resident in the unit along with two bags of grocerys? like; spices, olive oil, salad dressings, mustard, mayo, a large unopened bottle of oj, etc. Would have loved to leave it for the next guest but why if housekeeping was going to ?throw it away?. Throw it away. Right! G7 nice location but for the money a person can do a lot better on the north shore.
Mary W. from San Anselmo, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in August, 2014 You can't beat the views from this unit. This was our 2nd stay in 12 months. We came back to it because it was so lovely the first time. We were surprised and disappointed with some of the changes to the unit. They removed the vertical blinds from the window seat and bedrooms. The bedrooms now have thin curtains but the window seat has been left bare. The sun shines into the unit very early. By 8:30am it is very warm now. While the vertical blinds were clumsy, they were very effective at keeping the unit cooler. Next, the lovely cotton quilt with a Hawaiian motif was replaced with an inexpensive synthetic one with a bedskirt that was already tearing where it meets the mattress. They removed the partition that closes off the downstairs bedroom from the dining room. If you have more people staying there now, it would be very awkward with the lack of privacy. On the positive side, the manager was very receptive when we called to report the screen door to the lanai was broken when we arrived. He had it fixed and works perfectly now. We've stayed in several units at SeaLodge. The lack of a washer/dryer in the unit plus the changes we noted makes us think we will try a different one next time. Love the views.
Donna S. from Huntington Beach, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2014 My sisters and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sealodge #7. We woke up to the sunrise and slept all night with the sound of waves. We were close to several beaches and appreciated the snorkeling equipment and chairs to use. The pictures exactly represented the property. Hanalei and Princeville offered shopping opportunities. The Limuhuli Botanical Garden taught us about the Hawaiian plants. We thoroughly recommend Sealodge #7 and hope to return someday.
A guest from Moyie Springs, ID does not recommend this property. Stayed for 14 days in July, 2014 Great location with outstanding views.Lack of adequate window coverings makes morning sleep difficult. If it's windy, close the windows and use the fan to sleep. The VERY open floor plan means less privacy. This is NOT a two-bedroom unit; there is an open loft for one bedroom and the other bedroom is entirely open to the living space without so much as a room divider, so privacy is lacking. The downstairs neighbors will deliver a practiced speech regarding noise so that you will be left walking on eggshells for the rest of your visit. This situation should be dealt with by the management company.
Cari C. from Brighton, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2014 Magnificent location, views. Utmost privacy...nothing but ocean is what you saw out the windows (couldn't even see the neighboring condos). The place is very "dated" in terms of decor / furnishings and I can live with that. The only disappointment was the "visitors" we had (cockroaches). I didn't complain..what could they do? They can't "bomb" the place while we're staying there. It really freaked me out. Otherwise...I loved the Sea Lodge.G7 had comfy bed; very cold fridge with great ice maker; nice water pressure/shower (cranky neighbor on lower level). That location in Kauai is THE BEST !
James H. from San Francisco, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in May, 2014 This was a great stay. Plenty of space, magnificent views, just a great environment for relaxation, plus some nice little extras. I'm still imagining myself chilling out on the day bed, watching the tide go out over the reef. Also, a short (if a bit adventurous) hike to one beach, or an easy drive anywhere on the north shore.First, the pros:-Plenty of space: a double bed (maybe a queen? I'm not good at judging bed sizes) and 3/4 bath downstairs, two twins and a full bath in the loft. Dining area, living area (the day bed is great!), porch, kitchen. Big for a couple, but not a ton of privacy if you have older kids.-Views. Yeah. Wow. Watch the sun rise over the ocean from anywhere in the condo. Look almost straight down at the reef, or out across the water at Kilauea lighthouse.-Amenities. In addition to everything you'd expect, there were little things that made our vacation better. Like the jigsaw puzzles that kept us busy when a thunderstorm kept us indoors. Or the snorkeling fins that came in handy when my fin's strap broke.-Location. Feet from the cliffs. Walk to the beach. Easy car access, too. Then, the cons:-The biggest problem is the bugs. The place is clean, but it's still the tropics, so bugs are an issue. I killed two cockroaches within 5 minutes of getting to the condo, and 3 or 4 more over the next few days. We kept ALL of our food in the fridge, and that seemed to help.-Related to the bug problem, some of the screens didn't really fit into the windows right, so there were rather large gaps where bugs could fly in. It meant keeping certain windows closed at night, when bugs were attracted to light, but we still got a few bugs flying inside each day. Also, the sliding screen door was a bit finicky.-Light. Once the sun rises, there's no escape from it. If you can embrace it, it's not a problem, but if you want to sleep in, pray for clouds.Overall, mino
Steven B. from North Bend, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2014 Breathtaking view. The view of a shallow bay inside the offshore reef is amazing. For an older complex, it was clean and comfortable. The location was also great.
Caroline K. from Langley, BRITISH COLUMBIA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2014 When we drove up and saw the Sealodge for the first time we were a little scared and shocked! The rustic siding makes it look like a scene from a horror movie! Once inside our unit G7 we were pleasantly surprised. It was clean, comfortable and well laid out for a smaller unit and accommodated our family of 5 nicely. The views were amazing but unfortunately the whole time we were there it was very windy and too cold to sit out on the lanai or have the door open. We were only in Princeville for 3 days and spent most of our time hiking the amazing Na Pali coast and exploring the beautiful North shore beaches. We actually spent very little time in the unit and when there just quietly ate and relaxed. The owners of the downstairs unit were impossible and should not be living below a vacation rental or below anyone for that matter. Every time we opened our door they were there to complain that we were too noisy. I can't imagine how they would have reacted if we actually played some music or had some drinks on the lanai! They made us feel quite uncomfortable in the unit and like we had to whisper and tip toe around. For this reason we would not stay in G7 again.
A guest from Encinitas, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in February, 2014 We love Sealodge and this was our 3rd time staying at a condo here. G7 has a beautiful view but needs some updating. The kitchen and bathrooms are in desperate need of updating and the furniture in the family room could use a deep cleaning....especially the window seat cushions. There is way too much furniture in the family room making it feel very cramped. Also, we were not aware that there is not a door on either bedroom making privacy an issue. The view cannot be beat...outstanding ocean views from every room that make you feel like you are sitting on top of the ocean. We were also blessed with many whale sightings.
Michael L. from New York, New York recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in January, 2014 Wow! That view! Sitting on the lanai with a cup of coffee at sunrise, Sealodge G7 is where it's at. It's a million dollar view for a fraction of the price! If you're a fan of the North Shore of Kauai, this is a great location to use as a home base. Best deal on the North Shore for sure. That said, couple quick notes: during our stay, the unit's telephone did not work, the handset doesn't hold a charge, might want to fix that. Also, beach gear could use an upgrade, grab a set of Tommy Bahama beach chairs from Costco, they're not that expensive (we almost bought a set just to leave in the unit), and maybe a decent cooler as well. Minor points though during an otherwise awesome stay in Kauai. Thanks!
A guest from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2014 I have to admit, I had a little doubt in the back of my mind that this apartment would have the incredible views in the pictures. How could that be real? We were delighted to find the apartment exactly as pictured, stunning view included. :) We had a lovely week in Kauai, the location on the North Shore was just delightful, very quiet and beautiful. A short drive into postcard-perfect Hanalei for breakfast each morning was a highlight of the trip. We did note that the downstairs neighbors weren't thrilled to have us there (the sight of our two-year-old daughter as we passed their door on arrival won us a muttered expletive and a slammed door), but we didn't have any further trouble with them, and actually exchanged some pleasantries at the end of the trip. And, regarding toddlers... please be aware that neither of the two bedrooms in this apartment are in separate, walled-off rooms. The two twin beds are in an open upstairs loft, and the queen is in an open area just off the living/dining room. It worked fine for us because our daughter is a great sleeper and unusually safety-conscious for a toddler, but the upstairs open-loft sleeping situation wouldn't be a good choice for a kid who might climb over a low wall. But if you're traveling with adults or older children, I don't think you'll find a nicer location and view for this price. Loved it!
Melinda P. from Thornton, NH recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in December, 2013 Sealodge G7 has the most amazing views. Wide open ocean views, we fell asleep listening to the waves crash. Condo is very well outfitted, had all the small appliances you needed. Furniture is dated and way too much of it for such a small place., the lanai was uncomfortably crowded. The condo was a little small for us and our 2 adult daughters. The location was amazing!, close to the shopping and beaches. My husband and I walked down to the beach near the condo. It was very pretty but, be prepared to get muddy hiking down to it, the trail was pretty muddy and slippery. The walk may be too far for families with small children. All in all this condo was a great value and very comfortable
A guest from Petaluma, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in October, 2013 Sealodge G7 was a great place to enjoy Kauai. The views are beautiful and to fall asleep with the roar of the waves was wonderful. It is centrally located. It is near a great new Restaurant Tiki Iniki, in the Princeville center, which we really enjoyed!! Close to beaches as well. Had a great time and didn't want to leave!
Mary W. from San Anselmo, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in August, 2013 This small two bedroom condo was perfect for my husband and I. The ocean is right outside the windows and with all the mirrors in the place, it's reflected everywhere. Only negatives: no washer & dryer and the neighbors downstairs (elderly couple) complained our footsteps were too heavy. It's carpeted and we were either barefoot or in slippers and were aware of their sign outside the front door. Put a damper on the time we spent in the unit.
Dave C. from Mount Colah, NSW recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2013 I booked this property as it was well located and the cost was right. The property is well maintained and was clean and tidy with modern appliances. The position is great and has an outstanding view from most windows. The facilities are also good although the laundry could be better signposted. Highly recommended.
A guest from Post Falls, ID recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in January, 2013 Wonderful quiet setting, with a beautiful view from every room. The kitchen was fine, grounds beautiful and close to a trail to the beach. We watched a number of whales right from our deck! Close to a shopping center for necessities and a short drive to wonderful beauty! It is an upstairs unit, so that may be a consideration for some guests.
A guest from Sitka, AK recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2013 we were disappointed that our kitchen sink was not functional (due to leak associated with old disposal) for 36 hrs. We attempted to reach the property manager to fix it and called all contact numbers, found that those were no longer numbers for property manager and eventually 20 hrs later had contact with someone. Other than that, the location is nice, great views and we enjoyed our stay. The apartment whistles whenever it is windy.
Joe M. from Edmond, OK recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in December, 2012 Great location and property. Everything went smoothly, except arrival. We arrived late at night and even with good directions, the exact property was somewhat difficult to find. Some signs were not lighted, and trying to find our unit in the complex was somewhat difficult. Glad I had a flashlight.
A guest from Lafayette, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in October, 2012 good location and great views from the unit. easy rental experience. could use some updating, but, main thing is that the beds are very uncomfortable. it was easier to sleep on the window seat than any of the beds. other than the beds, we'd definitely stay there again.
Lucinda S. from Dana Point, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 18 days in September, 2012 We have stayed in G7 four times now. We were amazed that no improvements have been done over the years; however, Sandy @ ahh-aloha got everything done for us in a short time.We will not stay at G7 again, but certainly will go back to Sealodge as it is our favorit complex.
A guest from Seattle, WA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 9 days in August, 2012 The location of the unit and the view were great. However, within the unit, many things were in poor condition. The drain cover in the upstairs sink did not work, there was a hole in the wallboard above the bed in the main bedroom, the sheets were rough and had pills, the screen door to the lanai slid off-track almost every time it was opened, the cover on the microwave controls was loose, and the "lid-lift" mechanism on the trash can in the kitchen didn't work. In addition, there were small ants not only in the kitchen, which is hard to avoid, but in an established trail on the wall next to the screen door opening. There were no beach towels in the unit, even though we had asked in advance about this and were assured that they would be provided--we had to call the manager and ask for them, and had to insist that we get them early enough the next that we could get an early start on a snorkeling trip. Finally, the internet connection for our laptop did not work. We were told that there would be a secure connection with a password. This did not work, so we called the manager the morning after we arrived, after spending a long time trying to fix it. The manager did not call back--we had to call him back that afternoon. We got someone who didn't know about the internet, and we had to wait while the main manager called us back. He told us that the instructions we had received from the booking agent about the internet connection were out of date, and to use the public network without a password. Essentially, we ended up piggybacking on someone else's wireless connection--the unit's system never did work. The problem was not with our computer, as we moved to a different condominium in Poipu later in the trip and its system and password worked instantly. We found the management unresponsive and not knowledgeable. We would definitely not recommend staying here to anyone.
Great Location, Attractive Decor, Did Not Like Ants
A guest from Ferndale, WA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 9 days in July, 2012 I love the location, view and was pleased with the quality of most of the furnishings. The ants were constant. Sandy credited our account $100 but I would have rather gone without the ants. No breads, crackers etc could be left in cupboards or counters. ALL foods had to go in the fridge. The master bed was very uncomfortable and my husband and I had sore backs until we got home. The master room does not have a solid door separating it from the rest of the rental so there is no real privacy from the rest of the suite. Nine days was just too long here. If we had only stayed 4 or 5 days, the ants and the mattress and lack of privacy would probably not have worn on us. Sealodge Beach is a big plus as is the view. Kauai is gorgeous and the northern part is especially beautiful.
Jill E. from Los Angeles, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 We love this place! We slept like babies every night listening to the ocean. Loved hiking down to the secluded beach every morning. It is a wonderful and comfortable spot we'd return to again. Thanks so much!
A guest from Ashland, Oregon recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2012 With its back to civilization, this unit faces the vast ocean beyond the reef below. An open deck and open windows brought the gentle soothing sounds of surf close to the heart. The sweet colors of sunrise began each day while soft brief showers often arrived in the afternoon. Its setting was perfect! Inside was clean and well arranged for 4 people to enjoy.(Your comment area above will not function so I am adding a comment here meant for that area, not meant to be part of my comments above:When I received what I thought was my final confirmation, about 3 pages of text, I assumed that instructions for arriving would be part of the text. They were not and there was some difficulty getting that information given the time difference and that there was no one on site to help us. Fortunately, our email contact was immediately available. What would help is for you to present in BOLF, OBVIOUS directions, that one must make last minute contact prior to arrival. My on-line renting inexperience prevented me from expecting it...and I am sure I am not the only inexperienced renter you will get.
A guest from San Francisco, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in May, 2012 It was a great experience minus the ants. But I guess that is expected. The view from the condo was wonderful. Slept to the sound of waves!
Amy H. from Chula, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in May, 2012 It was such a relaxing experience. I was a little concerned with no air conditioning being from S. Georgia and acclimated to air, but it was not a problem. The decor ( painting, carpeting, and bedding) could use some updating but it was overall wonderful.
A guest from Couer D'Alene, ID does not recommend this property. Stayed for 14 days in February, 2012 The major problem was a faulty sliding glass door that, due to the strong winds (storm), made very loud noises day and night! This was very irritating.
Kathy W. from Santa Cruz, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in January, 2012 This was our second trip to Sea Lodge in Princeville, and our third trip to the north shore of Kauai. After the first trip, we don't have much desire to go anywhere else! This was our first January trip, and the humpback whales were prolific from the lanai every morning at sunrise. My only suggestion would be to provide binoculars. I wish we had thought to bring our own!
A guest from Juneau, AK does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in January, 2012 The location and views were great, but the mattresses were awful. Trying to sleep on hard uncomfortable beds was not enjoyable. The interior layout was very awkward and crowded and the bedrooms were really not separate with doors.
Rick M. from Titusville, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2011 Nice place, great view, quite and peaceful, beautiful secluded beach after a careful 5 min hike down to the beach. Good Value; you will like it.
Brigitte F. from Laguna Beach, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2011 this was our second stay at this particular location and can highly recommend it. It is just a gorgeous place.
Tracie P. from Tucson, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2011 Putting words to our Sealodge G7 rental experience is a difficult task. Upon entering the rental condo, be prepared for a breath taking experience. The expanse of the ocean, the sound of the surf and the view of the lighthouse are out of this world. When you sit outside on the lanai or anywhere inside the condo you feel such privacy and you experience tranquility. The short hike to the Sealodge Beach is equally as breath taking as you walk through the rainforest and come out on the most amazing, very secluded beach that has sand like no other beach. The snorkeling there is awesome. Be prepared to never want to leave your condo except for a short hike to the beach as it is that wonderful. This was our first time in Kauai and while we took advantage of many activities on the island and enjoyed them all, Sealodge was our favorite and should we return to Kauai, we'll likely stay mostly put right there!
Donald B. from Tucson, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in September, 2011 Just got back from 8 days in paradise. This was our 4th time for a VRBO rental in Hawaii, twice on Kauai, once each on Maui & Big Island. We will be back again - and again - and will be using VRBO. We stayed at Sealodge G7 this time. Was exactly as pictured & described. Very pleased overall, views just can't be beat, and loved falling asleep each night to the sound of the surf breaking on the reef below. Yes, as other reviewers have "complained" the pool is small - but if you're going to Kauai to hang around the pool, stay home or check into a local partying type resort hotel. That's not what Kauai is about. The "private" beach was lovely, and the hike down to it was not difficult, and took my 70 year old legs about 15 minutes to get there. Though admittedly I'm not typical as I'm still an active experienced hiker/backpacker. Can be slippery right after a rain shower, so be careful. BUT, if you are a snorkeler - plan to go elsewhere. the water here is very shallow over the brown algae coated reef - like only 1 - 2 feet deep and you are quite likely to end up with cuts & scrapes as the waves bounce you up & down. At high tide and when the surf is completely flat it's OK, and once you are out to the outer reef it's very good, especially at one large deep hole and drop off. But those perfect weather & surf conditions are rare on the north shore. But the condo and the property are great - a conservative 4.5 stars from someone who frequently comments that "nobody's perfect".
A guest from Dupont, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in July, 2011 Beautiful two-level condo (G-7 at Sealodge, Princeville, Kauai.) The views down to the wide reef and beyond were fantastic. Our kids (11 and 7) enjoyed the room upstairs (with its own bathroom). Great views from the downstairs bedroom, lanai, upstairs bedroom, and window bench.Sealodge is an older condo complex (perhaps the first built in Princeville, giving it also the best location on the bluff), but is a great value. The units are individually owned and G-7 in particular is fantastic. The owner Eleanor has done a great job maintaining the condo. Feels like staying at someone's home. Our relatives stayed at a much more expensive condo complex nearby, but our views were so much better and the condo was much larger. This is a great jumping off place for all of the fantastic beaches of the North Shore, including Hanalei, Lumahai, Ke'e, and Anini. Great find.
John W. from SLC, UT recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2011 The view from Sealodge are simiply the best. G7 while very nice could use a good carpet clean. Mirrors next to G7 picture window in online pictures along with text about extra windows mislead. The mirrors look like windows at a glance. Overall we were happy with our stay and would use Ahh Aloha again.
Caroline D. from Cockeysville, MD recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in October, 2010 We loved the Sealodge G7- great amount of space for 3. however, a few notesyou may want to look into: the lights on the main switch at the entrance did not work. the fridge had a leak in it, however, I think management responded. there was a centipede in the kitchen the first morning, and many ants.
Winfried F. from Berlin, Germany recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2010 This was our second time at Sealodge and our first at G7. We loved the place, it was very comfortable, had nice furniture, was well-kept, had a great locaton and a gorgeous view. And the North Shore has so much to offer. What more can you ask? We'll hope to be back some time.
David Michael P. from Olathe, KS recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2010 We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sealodge Condo Unit G7. It was a terrific tranquil location that offered beautiful views of the Pacific. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Marilee B. from Alameda, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2010 I loved this place. It had all the basic necessities plus boogie boards, snorkel gear and water shoes. I loved the view from the window seat as well as the lanai. I was sometimes hard to leave the place to go out sightseeing.
Stephanie S. from Tucson, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2010 We loved our condo and would go back again. We would pick the same one!! There are however some electrical issues that should be addressed. The outlets spark when you plug something in and half of the lights didn't work downstairs. The manager was great however and came to try and fix things in a timely manner. The refrigeratoe door didn't stay closed so he had to come and fix that also. And last but not least, the Wifi connection was not wireless. It eventually worked but we had to be hard wired into the router. Those were not huge issues, but they are fasirly important ones. Still our condo was almost perfect and we will go back again!
