A time to refresh.....
Ray O. from Littleton, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in August, 2016 This was a 40th anniversary celebration and we choose this condo for the view and to listen to the waves as they came ashore. The view from the lanai, living room and bedroom is swaying palm trees and the Pacific. The view from the kitchen is mountains with waterfalls. The condo doesn't have A/C but it isn't needed with windows open and the trade winds gently blowing. The kitchen has most pots, pans and utensils one might need. (A sharpener for the knives would be useful). The beach toys provided are incredible, beach umbrella, chairs, cooler, snorkel gear, mats, etc. While the condo and furniture are not new, everything is well maintained and comfortable. The only negative we had was that the bed didn't smell fresh. We removed everything including the mattress pad and washed them. After doing this we slept as though we were in Paradise.
Diana M. from chicago, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2016 We stayed in F9 for a few days in mid-May. The unit was very nice and had everything we needed for a lovely stay. The beach towels and chairs came in handy. It was clean, in a great location and had a beautiful view! Falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean was incredibly relaxing. The balcony was perfect for meals, end of day relaxing and enjoying the ocean view. Since the unit has no neighboring condos on the same level, it felt secluded and private and was very quiet. We would stay again and recommend it to others.
Terri A. from Mossyrock, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2016 We stayed in F9 on the third floor. The views from both sides of the condo were spectacular! The place was clean and had everything we need to feel right at home. The private beach was amazing, and a good work out! We would definitely stay there again, maybe on the ground level,as my husband has a bad knee!
Lynnette R. from Price, Utah recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2016 We enjoyed our stay at Sealodge. The view was beautiful. We wished there was better beach access, but weather was rainy anyway!! You can't be upset in Kauai, though. Island time!!
Jim W. from Kansas City, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2016 Beautiful views of the north shore and a private beach a short walk away make this a memorable spot. But then anywhere by the ocean on Kauai is heaven on earth.
Elizabeth C. from Ester, AK recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2016 I like the Sealodge so much. The views are great. The place is quiet. The facilities do everything you need them to do. AND you can actually afford to stay there.
Guy K. from Napa, California recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in October, 2015 F9 was a wonderful escape for us: Privacy, beautiful sea view, with the music of crashing surf on the reef. F9 lacked nothing for us: Nicely appointed interior and kitchen. We especially appreciated the blender, which was given a work out making smoothies. We also appreciated the beach towels, beach chairs and mat.
A guest from Boonville, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2015 This is the second time we have stayed at Sealodge and it has been excellent both times. The location on the bluff is wonderful with great views down to the lighthouse and out to sea. Only downside is beach access is a tough climb, but very easy to get into the car and go to nearby beaches. Easy to walk to the Princeville town center.
Kerrie C. from Richmond, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2015 We very much enjoyed our stay in this cozy condo with the wonderful view of the grounds and ocean. The unit was clean, comfortable and quiet. We will definitely be returning to this condo when we come back to the beautiful island of Kauai.
Taileah M. from Santa rosa, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in February, 2015 We were pleased with our stay at Sealodge. It's a great location in princeville with amazing views and a beautiful beach to hike to. The furniture is a bit out dated and worn but everything was clean. We would definitely stay here again.
A guest from Mount Airy, MD recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2015 Overall, great experience, excellent location and view. Only issue is that the fridge did not properly cool on medium setting as instructed and we had some of our food spoil. Furnishings and decor dated but acceptable.
A guest from Billings, MONTANA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in January, 2015 We loved watching the whales and albatross from our living room.Very quite neighborhood, close to restaurants, groceries, and north shore sites.
Steve V. from Montreal, Quebec recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2015 My girlfriend and I arrived at F9 after having spent a week in Oahu. We had rented two other apartments there through Airbnb. Both places were less than perfect and we were really looking forward to seing what F9 had to offer. We were not disapointed. The place felt like hom immediately. It was absolutely spotless. The kitchen had everything we needed to make some nice home cooked meals and the sounds of the ocean were the cherry on top. We are very pleased with this rental and would recommend it to all.
Jessica Y. from Toronto, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2014 My husband and I had a great 5 night stay at Sealodge F9. The views from this 3rd floor condo are fantastic, ocean views from the bedroom and living room, mountain views from the kitchen. You can do whale watching from the lanai in the winter months. If you don't mind the stairs, then this unit is both scenic and quiet as there are no other units on the 3rd floor. The furnishings and appliances are dated, but the unit was clean and we had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. There's a great walking/running path in Princeville that we enjoyed, and most of our days were spent on the North Shore and at Hanalei Bay. Overall, we would definitely recommend this place if you're visiting the North Shore.
A guest from Atascadero, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2014 This is our third visit to a condo in Hawaii. I had originally chosen a different condo, but it was no longer available. I was disappointed in the carpet stains, damaged kitchen floor and finding a broken wine glass with lip marks in the cupboard. For the $95 you pay for cleaning, it seems the cleaning lady would have put away the dishes in the dishwasher and cleaned up the stains before your arrival. The bed is not comfortable and the sound of the plastic mattress cover is annoying. For $150 they could put a good memory foam on the bed and completely change the comfort. All the buildings and stairways in the complex are in dire need of re-staining.Pros: I can't imagine a more beautiful setting. Airflow in the condo is wonderful, breezes from every direction. There are more books and DVD's than a person could enjoy if they stayed a full month. It's quiet up here and the views are breathtaking. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything to enjoy the kitchen, but it would be nice to have some basic spices. Internet was great!
Rachael H. from CHANDLER, Arizona recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in October, 2014 We had a wonderful time in Princeville. The condo was in a great location on the north side. We enjoyed evenings on the balcony watching the ocean and hearing the waves. The condo is comfortable, very clean, and has all the amenities you need for a relaxing vacation.
Alex J. from Mesa, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2014 Unfortunately the sound of the ocean was overshadowed by the fans running 24/7. And the plastic mattress cover on the bed didn't make it any cooler at night. Even with trade winds blowing, this place is a good deal because it is hot. Loved the location. Loved how quiet it was. Everything was true to the advertising. Management company was easy to work with.
A guest from Big Sur, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2014 A throw-back from the eighties!!!! In ways, I loved it, in other ways not so much. I wish I had known to bring my last few cassette tapes to play (however I did bring my I-Pod and portable speaker). The remotes for the tv/vcr/dvd player did not work so well, or the instructions left were not as explicit as they could/should have been (by the way...a helpful hint to the guests there is to make sure that the device that picks up the signals for the remote controls is not obstructed physically, like by the other box for the internet signal reception, trust me it makes a very large difference) even then we had to get up to pause, play, turn up or down the volume...hey at least you will get your exercise in as you watch a movie. The mattresses were also from the eighties...not cool dude!!!! I tried the punai a few nights and then the couch...ouch My friend had the bed and said that it too, was not all that great to say the least. The drywall is crumbling at the floor level just next to the sliding patio door (moisture in paradise can be a nightmare, but come on.) The view is GREAT, the privacy is wonderful and the price is great, but so are a lot of other units in the Sea Lodge accommodations from what my research showed me (especially if you use the AHH Aloha as your guide). I definitely made the best of some irritations during this years week in my favorite warm paradise, however I will be staying in a different location next year. Just keeping it real...aloha.
A guest from San Francisco, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2014 As the review title indicates, F9's furnishings are quite dated. I'm guessing mid 80's? That said, the furnishings don't matter much as the lanai is the best place to relax anyway; the view is fantastic. The bed is comfortable, and having two fans in the unit made sleeping comfortable even on warm evenings when the breeze wasn't coming in. The WiFi was good too, which made planning our day trips very easy. I'd come back without hesitation.
A guest from Innsbruck, Tyrol recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2014 Everything was fine and up to our expectations. The view is beautiful, the surroundings peaceful and the condo is not brand new but spotlessly clean and has everything we needed. Recommended!
A guest from Kingsgrove, NSW recommends this property. Stayed for 24 days in January, 2014 Overall, a very nice Condo. Excellent views (saw lots of whales out to sea). And the North Shore in general is a great location to re-charge (although it can get prolonged showers during winter). The Condo itself needs a light touch from its guests (as noted by a previous reviewer). Wifi worked for my smart phone, which was great since some previous reviewers couldn?t get it to work. The bathroom is a bit on the small side, but gets the job done. The bed is OK but not great. The Washing Machine & Dryer are excellent. Unfortunately the Block of Condos is not particularly sound-proof ? had some noisy neighbours both below (F6) and across (F5) ? heavy walking, banging cupboard doors, slamming balcony doors, etc. Just hope that you get some considerate neighbours during your stay. Overall a very enjoyable 3-week stay.
kristi b. from raleigh, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2014 Beautiful location, up on the 3rd floor with no other condos; like being in a treehouse. 3 flights of stairs, so probably not great for everyone but we had no problems. The view was stunning from all angles of the condo, ocean and mountain views. My husband and I argued over who got to sleep in the small bed by the window; being lulled to sleep by the waves was amazing. Functional, clean furniture, nothing fancy but we were very comfortable. Stayed in another condo on another island that didn't compare to how much we loved F9. Wish we were back!
A guest from Kingston, Ontario recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2014 Sealodge F9 was a great vacation rental. It was clean and in excellent condition. The view of the ocean was fantastic, and when the whales showed to up to play it became a surreal experience. Highly recommended.
PAULA C. from ANCHORAGE, ALASKA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2013 We stayed in F9 at the SeaLodge. It was clean, had everything we needed and the view was beautiful!! Would def. Go back!!! :)
Yolanda B. from Frisco, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2013 I guess that is why I have stayed here three years in a row. I love the location of Sealodge on a cliff overlooking the ocean, close enough to fall asleep to the sound of the waves. This unit has a beautiful view of the ocean, even from your bed, great to wake up to. I must admit, the furniture is dated and would to see it freshed up a bit, but other than that it has everything that is needed, like a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. It is so peaceful and quiet, great place to unwind at the end of the day. I will be back.Yolanda
A guest from Flagstaff, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2013 Generally comfortable, pictures are accurate. Rude to plan a "bug spraying" during rental times. Needs a good DEEP CLEANING (even better- STEAM Cleaning that goes beyond general surface. Blender was barely functional(donate to charity) Some simple rusted items could be replaced and spot painting. Bed comfortable and great tradewind breeze and additional fans. Constant sounds of waves delightful. Some not-completely- clean utinsils (we handwashed all our dishes for that reason). This condo is all about the views with we never tired of.
A guest from Palo Alto, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2013 The rental property was an okay place to stay in Princeville, but nothing special. The unit was clean, but furniture and amenities a bit worn and older. Our friends were staying in Sealodge C3, which was a MUCH nicer and more modern unit. The unit does have wifi now (had read previous reviews that stated it did not). It's nice that it's a top floor unit so there's no noise above you, but it also gets extremely hot in the unit (and there is no A/C), just fans. Reservations were easy enough via email and did not have to interact with anyone for checkin/out due to the door code. Would probably find somewhere else to stay in the future...
A guest from New York, NY does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2013 The property definitely needs some updating.....sliding doors do not work well. The bathroom is quite dated as are the faded posters on the walls.
Adam D. from Albany, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2013 Having owned and vacation rented a house on the Big Island of Hawaii for 23 years, I pretty much know the spread of the market. The F9 unit at Sealodge, Princeville was clean and aesthetic, well equipped, and had an excellent view. It was an extremely good value. The hidden beach at the west of the property was a gem. Two thumbs up.
A guest from San Jose, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2013 Great location, great services including Childcare from Joannie. Only complaint is that the places is a outdated, bathroom, kitchen, etc.. Stairs made it difficult to lug up heavy luggage.Great place to stay. I enjoyed it more than staying in a hotel.
A guest from Menlo Park, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in June, 2013 Upon arriving we found the ceiling fan missing the pull cord. We called Dave, the maintenance guy, and he said he would come the next day. We never saw him during our visit and needless to say did not use the ceiling fan. Also, the lanai sliding screen door falls off the track...but it was doing that two years ago too! Part of the charm, I guess. Still, we'll be back as it's a great location.
A guest from Karlsruhe, BW recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2013 Very good view, very well equipped with chairs, body boards, etc... Kitchen as well. There were even some sugar, oil and others remaining in the kitchen. And there is wifi, it's just that your device has to be wps-capable, as the wifi passcode is not disclosed.
Suzanne A. from Yuma, Arizona recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2013 We enjoyed the view and comfort of condo. It was convenient, and ready for all types of activities. Although we didn't use them, it was nice to see that there were snorkels, fins, beach towels, beach chairs, boogie board, etc. We enjoyed our 40th there very much. Aloha
Rick G. from Los Altos, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 16 days in March, 2013 F9 could use a new (functional) blender, and some binoculars to view the whales and big wave surfers outside the inspiring view!
A guest from Hodges, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2013 Overall, this was an excellent place to stay while on Kauai, especially since we spent most of our time on the north shore. The beaches are absolutely beautiful and the weather was mostly sunny during the day and very cool at night. The property is well-kept and the reservation process was very professional. The view from the lanai is also beautiful, however we were disappointed we couldn't see more of the sunset from the rental. We did see some gorgeous sunsets from the beach though! We would recommend this stay and will definitely rent this again. Thanks for everything!
A unique, comfortable condo with an interesting view.
Fiona W. from Salt Spring Island, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2013 We enjoyed SeaLodge F9 very much, our only complaint was that, although it was advertised as having internet, ours didn't work. The maintance contractor tried to fix it but got delayed by the ISP. We did contact the owners of the condo who replied quickly and were going to follow it up.
Keith W. from Port Townsend, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in February, 2013 We appreciate this unit. It's a modest apartment in the midst of a resort-like area. It requires a gentle hand and would not fare as well with high impact, high expectation guests.
Megan E. from Rochester, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2013 My husband and I enjoyed our 2 nights at Sealodge F9 and were sad to leave! We got super lucky with winter weather while we were there and barely saw a drop of rain! Enjoyed sitting out on the lanai for breakfast and cocktails--watching the whales and listening to the ocean! We hiked the Kalalau Trail to the waterfall, had dinners at Mediterranean Gourmet and Bar Acuda, and enjoyed the pool and the running path/park in Princeville. Would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone! And we would definitely stay there again if we had the chance to!
A guest from Laguna Beach, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2013 We were very pleased with our rental experience. We had stayed in a different place at Sealodge a few years ago. The other place was just okay. But F-9 is a great condo. We would like to stay there again in the future. We liked that it was quiet, spacious, and relaxing. Also nice was that the condo had nice amenities. By the way, we donated two beach towels to the condo.
Leo T. from Greenbrae, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in December, 2012 The unit has 3 sets of stairs which didn't bother me after the initial push to get the luggage up but I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with strength or mobility issues. There are some maintenance quality issues i.e. the toaster doesn't work, the screen door to the patio comes off the track consistently and the mattress is shot. The main annoyance though was no WIFI in the unit. To have an internet connection that would work you'd have to bring at least 10' of Ethernet cable and a laptop with an Ethernet port. tall order for a vacation. Most folks use wireless tablets these days and no internet connectivity is pretty primitive.
James D. from Anchorage, AK recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in December, 2012 Nice location and great view. Great beaches close by. Queens Bath is awesome. I called maintenance and left a message. They never returned my call. Toaster and toaster oven don't work. Needs WiFi router!
A guest from Bakersfield, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2012 The condo was in a great spot, close enough to go to sleep and wake up to the sound of the ocean! I would recommend this condo to anyone wanting a wonderful vacation spot or even a honeymoon getaway, as I had!
Laurie S. from Aptos, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2012 Had just Just come from a 7night stay at Lawaii Beach Resort, which are spotless, up to date, spacious, ocean view condos that are less expensive so we were a little disappointed in Sea Lodge F9. The view was beautiful, but the place was small with outdated furnishings. The pool area was very blah, not a single table with shade provided. All the condos have faded shingle siding which are included in your ocean view. My sister stayed in D8 which has been updated and you can tell the owner takes pride in it's appearance.
Yolanda B. from Frisco, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2012 I absolutely love this unit F9,Sealodge of Princeville, and is my second time to stay here. The condo is furnished with everything that I needed to stay comfortably, and the view is stunning! Falling asleep to the sound of the waves and waking up to the most beautiful sunrise is what brings me here. With a queen bed and a single bed,it accomodated our party of three comfortably. If you want someplace quiet, but yet not far from Hanalei, my most favorite place on earth, this is your place. I look forward to coming back to F9 next year.Mahalo,Yolanda Brown,Travel CounselorAltour American Express Travel
Stefan A. from Stockholm, recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in July, 2012 The condo was as good as we expected. It's good that it's located on the top floor which means you don't have no one on top of you making noice. The unit is very private and the views are spectacular and you'll hear the waves day and night. Skip the beach below Sealodge and head to the wonderful Hidaway beach instead. But go early, because there are only 8 parkingspots..
A guest from Albuquerque, NM recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2012 Nothing fancy, but has everything you need for a relaxing stay. Top floor provided great privacy and nice winds from the ocean.
A guest from Jackson, WY recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2012 A 3rd floor unit which some may not like. I however enjoyed being all the way up on the third floor...Ocean view. Kitchen+washer+dryer was great
Rob M. from Washington, DC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2012 All in all, this is a great unit w/ lots going for it! Location, views, well-maintained, and a great value to boot. The top floor spot definitely made for an intimate setting and a treehouse like feel; we didn't see why other reviewers said it was such a long walk up the stairs.Def recommend keeping the windows open for the sea breeze, and starting the day w/ breakfast or having a light dinner on the lanai overlooking the ocean. Two very minor issues - the one set of snorkeling gear was in disrepair, and for the property, is it really necessary to mow the lawn at 8am?Great property - we'd definitely stay here again!
Fred M. from Clearwater, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in February, 2012 we enjoyed our stay very much. The residence we rented was in a wonderful location. We found that the unit was not as clean as we would have liked. There were cob webs on the walls and the rugs could use a good cleaning, but overall it was a nice unit. The bed and the pillows were extremely nice and comfortable. It was fully stocked with dishes and pots etc. Everything you would want for a home away from home.
Elissa D. from Berkeley, California recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2012 We had a wonderful time at F9, the North Shore stay was the highlight of our trip. Great location, and a comfortable place to come home to, with a view that couldn't be beat. We loved being at the top of the complex, even with 40mph winds that kept us inside all day for one day of our trip, we were more than comfortable there. So great to watch the waves and ride out the winds on the porch. It was clean, and well-stocked. The staff was very accommodating, and the unit was private and well kept. We hardly saw anyone else while we were there. Felt like our own world. I'd definitely go back and recommend it to anyone.
David L. from Mississauga, Ontario recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in January, 2012 I stayed at a different location on my previous visit to this Island. I was glad that I didn't go for the same place. The view is breathtaking!! The beautiful sounds of the waves is heard the entire time of our stay in the unit. There is no need for an air conditioning since the trade wind from the sea keeps the place cool. We enjoyed having breakfast on the lanai (balcony)and we would occasionaly see whales splashing out of the sea. The only thing that we thought needed improvement were all the kitchen knives which were dull. The place was well equiped with beach chairs, hiking stick, body board, cooler for beach picnic,...etc). The difficult part of the stay is leaving. We are definitely coming back soon ! Although we needed to climb the stairs everytime we go to the unit, however it gave us the privacy compared to units below as our unit was on the top floor.
A guest from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in January, 2012 we loved the view from the condo! watched whales and pod of dolphins while eating our meals on the lanai. enjoyed the extra bed in the living room for naps overlooking the ocean. kitchen had everything we needed and we appreciated the washer/dryer. once we figured how to connect the computer, we had internet access but would have liked to have WIFI in the room. also, we neglected to ask about an elevator?not a problem yet for us, we can still manage the stairs easily, but being on the 4th floor could be an issue for someone who is more 'needy'. the other disappointment for us was the BBQ?based on prior experience, we expected a working gas bbq with utensils at hand?.again, not a huge issue, but definitely something we would have welcomed. please understand we had a fabulous time in the condo?these are just the reasons we didn't give it 5 stars. thank you for a wonderful stay!
A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2011 We had a great time there! It was beautiful, the view was amazing from the balcony and front porch. Being the only unit on the very top made it feel like a tree house. Everything went well except one morning someone opened the door to the unit which is only opened by code. It was the property manager apparently who needed to look at a leak. We let him look but were a bit uncomfortable as he entered the unit without knocking, shut the door when he saw people in it, and I opened it to find out what was going on. My girlfriend could have been dressing, as it is a studio, and that made me very uncomfortable that he didn't knock. Other than that, great stay.
A guest from Gibsons, BC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 8 days in October, 2011 As soon as we walked in, it smells like nobody had been there for weeks, maybe a little airing of the place prior to our arrival would have been good... Window in living room was filthy, we actually had to wash it ourselves to be able to see the ocean. Dividing door between dining room and bedroom falling apart. Window screens not fitting or punctured, therefore geikos coming in at night. Water damage stains at the bottom of wall below window in bedroom. Rotten wood beside entrance door inside. Bathroom definitely needs an update. Maybe one good knife would make cooking easier.
Tom H. from Columbia, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in October, 2011 Overall my wife and I had a good stay, the location was excellent and the view from our room couldn't be better. However, the general condition of the room was very average, several things in the condo didn't work well and needed attention, the TV did not work properly, the sink was stopped up and needed repair, and a sliding door between the bedroom and the main living area did not close sufficiently to separate the bedroom from the main living area. In addition the carpet in the main room looked like it needed to be cleaned or had permanent stains on it. However, my wife and I enjoyable our stay in this condo and would consider renting a Sea Lodge Condo in the future.
A guest from Phoenix, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2011 The location was great! The top floor was nice because of the awesome views BUT would have been more comfortable with an AC unit. Was very hot in there even with the fans. We cleaned the fans because they were disgusting (full of dirt and dust). Somewhat of an unpleasant odor throughout condo (like an air freshener) My food and water bottle even smelled like it. Hairs in shower as well. Great Sea Lodge Beach and would come back again but probably try somewhere other than Sea lodge or maybe a more updated unit that had an ac unit.
Property Manager Response: Response from Ahh Aloha Kauai Vacation Rentals It was very hot during part of September, and unfortunately if the tradewinds are not blowing, it can be uncomfortable regardless of where you are. When the tradewinds blow, which is nearly all of the time, then the condo will get nice cross ventilation and the temp will stay in the comfort zone. We can't control the weather, but we certainly can insure that the cleaning is brought up to par, and will make sure our cleaning inspector is aware of the issues guest had with cleanliness to make sure the condo is perfect for our next guests.
A guest from San Jose, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2011 Very nice ocean view with sunrise and sunset views. Be prepared to walk up a lot of stairs if renting on a top floor--the view is worth it but there is no elevator. Good location to explore Kauai's North shore.
A guest from Tivoli, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in September, 2011 Perfect location, excellently and thoughtfully appointed with everything you need in a vacation home, clean, wonderful view, fabulous oceanfront view could hear the ocean waves crashing and caught the spectacular tradewinds. Will recommend to all, and can't wait to go back. Thank you.
A guest from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2011 If you're looking for a room and amenities like the St. Regis....don't stay here. If you're looking for a home while you're on vacation this is it. Very clean, very warm. Nice to come back to after your adventures on Kaua'i. Visit the "Queen's Bath" nearby. Awesome....Mahalo a nui loa!
didn't know I was going to heaven as I was more than alive!
Lloyd B. from Chandler, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 31 days in August, 2011 What a great property and the agency that rented it to us. It looks better than in the many photos found on line. One of the best places to rent because of how well it was equipped. I love to cook and found everything you would want or need! A to Z, things you didn't expect to find like a juicer, potato peeler, rotary egg beater, all kinds of knives, wire cheese cutter, cork screw, measuring cups and spoons, a new coffee maker and a stack of brown paper filters, plastic storage containers, drain board, cutting board etc etc, an iron and ironing board, an Ethernet cable for high speed internet, a combination lock built into our front door, a vacuum cleaner, detergent for the stack washer and dryer which my wife called the largest capacity for a stack she had ever seen, toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, Windex, many extra light bulbs, batteries, ball point pens, a medium size picnic chest, a dandy high tech walking stick with built in compass, a bit of snorkel equipment, great folding chairs and a beach umbrella, hair dryer, a dishwasher and garbage disposal, a nice entertainment center with a stereo, record player, VHS and DVD and audio tape player, a flat screen TV about 35 inches, over 70 DVD's and 40 VHS tapes and 4 or 5 dozen paperback books including local guides. These are all beyond what you would expect to find in a rental condo, I can't recall it all nor have the room here to write it! We spent 32 glorious days in this, our temporary home, in a combination of comfort and luxury! A fabulous supermarket (Foodland), shops and restaurants were exactly a four minute drive as was the golf course, HA! Add all this to the fabulous lanai and it's ocean and mountain and lighthouse views, a ceiling fan, a floor fan and a table top fan which weren't needed due to the great trade winds, on the 3rd and very private floor. Negatives? A few from a very spoiled tourist, the lack of a hassock, the third floor walk up which strengthened ou
A guest from Escondido, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in May, 2011 We've been there several times and enjoy the views of the ocean, mountains and gardens--even the Kauai chickens in the morning (almost).
Travis S. from Juno, AK does not recommend this property. Stayed for 14 days in February, 2011 Condo needs new matteress, current one is worn out and killed our backs. Been spoiled with previous rentals that had open views, didn't like being set back from bluff between buildings.
A guest from Sadorus, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2010 We were very satisfied with Sealodge F9 and Ahh Aloha personnel. Our vacation was pleasant and everything we expected was delivered
Yolanda B. from Plano, Texas recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2010 The condo was perfect, the ocean view was stunning from every window. I fell asleep to the sound of the waves and awoke to the see the ocean from my bed..wow! The condo was fully equiped with everything and anything you needed. I lived in Sealodge 30 years ago, so it was like going home. I plan on booking it again next year.
A guest from San Jose, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 21 days in July, 2010 I always stay in this unit and for one primary reason: the views of both ocean and Bali Hai mountains and evening sunsets. The bed in this unit is the softest, most sloping, most uncomfortable mattress I have ever slept in. This time I turned the mattress over the mattress and slept on the wrong side just to not end up with a horrible backache. While this seems minor, the bed is also faced in such a way that there is no nightstand on one side of the bed, or a lamp, making it impossible to read in bed at night. Overall, this unit needs a little updating but I still rent it for the views.
I am cautious about recommending this to a friend due to the exterior condition of the complex
A guest from Springfield, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2010 The grounds were beautifully landscaped and maintained; the apt itself was adequate and the bed comfortable. I was very concerned about the lock, since the combination is not changed from guest to guest. The bed was comfortable and the view is, of course, amazing.
