Ocean View and Breeze
Daryl S. from Tracy, California recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2016 Relaxing and pleasant. We loved the location and the gorgeous view of the ocean. It was like a 360 view because you had a partial view from the kitchen! Very peaceful and easy to get to.
Wonderful on the whole, just a few repairs needed.
Brant C. from Mill Valley, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in July, 2016 Great time and experience. the place works well for the most part. The window (shown in picture) needs to be fixed so it can be opened and closed much more easily. And the screen door to the patio falls off all the time and should be repaired also.
A guest from Sierra Madre, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in June, 2016 I love staying at the Sea Lodge whenever the hubs and I are visiting the island of Kauai. We usually book a room here because of the beautiful ocean views and the convenient location in the North Shore, where we can hike the Kalalau trail, snorkel at Tunnels Beach, swim at Ke'e Beach, or go to the Hanalei Farmer's Market for fresh island veggies and fruits. The kitchen and washer/dryer unit are a big plus for us. It makes it feel like a second home in Kauai. E10 was especially lovely as it was located on the third floor and we did not have any direct wall neighbors that we could hear. We will definitely be back next summer!
Laura C. from Oakland, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in March, 2016 We loved our stay at Sealodge E10. Sea lodge itself is very quite and peaceful. The unit has amazing views from every window! We enjoyed waking up to beautiful sunrises, cooking in the fully equipped kitchen, and dining on the patio. Great bird watching too! The check-in/check-out procedures were well explained and any info needed was in the app for the renting company.
Ona M. from Eugene, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2016 Amazing location! The climb to the third level was worth the marvelous reward of stunning views and the comforting sound of the surf. No doubt about it, we were welcomed by a lovely, tastefully decorated nest to relax and enjoy time together. There was a rich collection of books on Kauai to inspire our adventurous spirits. It was also impressive to find all the necessary cooking utensils in the kitchen for our food preparation. We had come for lots of good snorkeling and were not disappointed. A magical, memory-making moment was the feeling that came over us while viewing a full moon over the water! We also liked the convenience of the shops at Princeville Center. Our #1 favorite destination was to drive to Hanalai Bay to explore and simply hang out. We are golfers and we found Kauai and this location perfect for our game! We both left with big smiles on our faces for our choice of this comfy vacation home.
A guest from vista, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2016 This place has everything to make you feel comfortable in the islands. We loved our stay there and were able to have fun on the north shore.
Kevin S. from Huntington Beach, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in January, 2016 Incredible views out all the windows of the waves rolling in to the nearby cliffs. The apartment was very clean inside and nicely decorated. A great stay all in all.
A guest from Topanga, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2015 Overall we were pretty disappointed in our stay. Although we knew it was the rainy season, this property is on a point on the island and the wind howled and every night. We had to close the windows when the rain blew in sideways and then couldn't breathe due to the stuffiness. The bathroom smelled, there were cockroaches in the kitchen and the towels were moldy. Felt pretty shabby and a condo that was just for renters. Compared to my friend who stayed in properties like the Sheraton, I don't think we had a value deal.
Property Manager Response: Response from Ahh Aloha Kauai Vacation Rentals We are so sorry the guest did not have a positive experience in this beautiful and updated condo. It's really a lovely place. Unfortunately, just the day prior to the guest's arrival, there was an issue with a blocked drain that affected the entire building. Probably the source of the smell and possibly disturbing the blocked drain drove cockroaches out. Because there is regular pest control and hasn't been a problem with live roaches before. We'll check on it. We remain confident that this is one of the most attractive condos at Sealodge and future guests will enjoy its view, amenities, and updated condition.
Marcia K. from Penn Valley, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 16 days in October, 2015 We find Sealodge to be an excellent value. Location and views cannot be beat. Have stayed in other units at Sealodge but E-10 furnishings are superior (comfortable bed). Great Views, great value, comfy bed, lots of stairs (well worth the climb to top floor) Would like to keep this unit a secret but also happy to help fellow travelers
Anthony M. from CASPAR, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2015 We've stayed in E10 before, and we love the breezes and the view up high. However, there were a number of shortcomings this time, some fixed immediately, some requiring the owners to do some creative improvements. When we walked in there was a sink door off its hinges, left hanging; and the walk-in closet light was burned out. Bath rug was vacuumed, but brown from lack of washing (we washed it back to white). Plus the TV showed only B&W (needed to order a new Cisco box). Front door lock so stiff we couldn't get back outside at first. All of this should have been fixed before we arrived. Owner also could replace a burned out fan, replace a couple of Venetian blinds that are almost not functional. We appreciated the decor and the good supply of beach stuff plus snorkel stuff. Overall, excellent, with the above exceptions.
Property Manager Response: Response from Ahh Aloha Kauai Vacation Rentals Tip for future guests: if you experience any maintenance issues with your rental property, please contact us directly at once. We can't fix it for you if we don't know about it until weeks later in a review! Cable company is replacing the TV box and maintenance will address all other items noted. The front door lock is brand new and probably just needs some lubrication. They are minor problems, easily remedied at once, and we're happy to take care of them.
Stuart O. from Mt Alford, Queensland recommends this property. Stayed for 16 days in July, 2015 AlohaThis unit was everything it stated to be and much more!!!We were in the unit for 16 days .The hardest thing was to leave it in the morning to set out on our adventures and the easiest thing was to come back to it ! We found it very clean and tidy everything we needed to live in paradise for 16 days was right there The kitchen was great we cooked all our own meals we often thought if going to a restaurant but now could offer the view and Devore of our very own Eagles Nest ! When we opened the windows snd the cool sea breeze rushed in it was heaven To wake to amazing sunrises and to watch the stars and moon from our lofty position was perfect for us The whole Sealodge complex was a friendly and welcoming home Despite the age of the unit the owners have decorated it in a beautiful island theme and we fell in love with it ! We recommend it to all ! If you don't mind the climb up the many stairs you will never be disappointed by what greets you inside Sealodge E10 is a holiday in itself Treat yourself to a real surprise and book this for your next holiday in paradise We hope to return and hope our don and daughter will one day visit e10 also Mahalo Sandra and Stuart
A guest from Los Gatos, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2015 We had never stayed in this complex but wanted to try it out with a good view up towards the Kilauaea Light house. We always worry with new properties what we may actually find. We were THRILLED when we opened the door! It was even better than we had imagined. Beautifully maintained and thoughtfully decorated including many nice touches. The windows were so close to both the bed and the living spaces that it was almost like being out side. So despite being there during a tropical storm we felt we weren't shut in. And the waves lulled us to sleep.
A guest from Los Angeles, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2015 very comfortable, easy, breezy, helpful instructions. GREAT view and location that is princeville central. Furniture, amenities could use updating but overall fine and very comfortable.
Very happy with accommodations , well set up with necessities.
Mary C. C. from Santa Barbara, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in July, 2014 Small, compact and very comfortable, lovely view and quiet accommodation. We enjoyed it, though an older unit, would rent again assuming the upkeep is this good.
A guest from Olympia, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2014 We had a wonderful, quiet time in E10 at SeaLodge. All the conveniences were there, except we never did figure out how to get the television to work. We were able to watch a movie, though.
A guest from Longmont, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 Sealodge E10 is one of the best locations on the Sealodge property. The condo is on the top floor and is very private. Plus, you will get to wake up to a beautiful sunrise in the morning and a beautiful sunset at night (we stayed during July). Sealodge also has a very nice private beach that has some decent snorkeling nearby. When we come back, we will definitely be staying here again.
A guest from San Antonio, Texas recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2014 Second trip to Kauai. We love the island and her friendly people. If we return we will stay in Sealodge E10 again. Spectacular view for half what it would cost at one of the nearby hotels.
Russell W. from Cocoa Beach, Florida recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2014 The accommodations: spotless perfection. The location: the very epicenter of genuine paradise. The view from the unit: 50 mile-view of rugged coastline and tourmaline coral reefs. The downside: NO AIR CONDITIONING.The value for the money: Excellent.
Judy M. from Roseville, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2014 My husband and I stayed in Kauai for our 25th anniversary. E10 at Sealodge was well decorated, clean and in a terrific location. We could have not asked for a better view!
Daniel W. from Phoenix, Arizona recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2014 This condo was fantastic. Stunning views of the ocean, beaches, and the lighthouse. Waking up to beautiful sunrises every morning. I could have practically lived on the patio.Staying in a place like this is nothing like being in a hotel. The owners have put a lot of thought into this condo. The kitchen is well equipped, they have a bunch of beach items, extra towels, fans if the winds die down, etc. Books, music, board games, small stereo with Ipod and blutooth inputs. The list goes on and on.We took one day and traveled the rest of the island just to check it out. The north shore is the place to be and Princeville is beautiful. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone.
Anine C. from Lacey, Washington recommends this property. Stayed for 16 days in February, 2014 We had a bit of bad weather during our stay, so we were very glad to have such a lovely condo to hang out in when we could not go out. The condo was spacious, clean, artfully decorated and the view was outstanding!
A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2014 We loved unit E10 at Sealodge - it's on the top floor so has vaulted ceilings, and no neighbor on either side. Stunning view across the sea to Kilauea lighthouse. The layout ensures ocean views from the bedroom and living space. Bathroom is small, but we liked that the shower/bath and toilet were separate from the sink/vanity. It's nicely furnished in island style.
Jacqueline T. from Fort Collins, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in January, 2014 Our condo had fabulous views of the Kilauea Lighthouse, the ocean, sunrises and sunsets. We definitely want to stay in this condo in the future.
Rhonda R. from North Oaks, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in January, 2014 We found Sealodge to be just what we wanted. The view was wonderful and breathtaking. Waking up with the morning view was incredible. We liked the sound of the waves and the pure enjoyment of nature. Hopefully we will return someday! Thank-you to the owner of E-10 for sharing this small slice of heaven and the management company for handling the details!
Jaclyn C. from bethlehem, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in January, 2014 We has the BEST vacation we could ask for. I typically stay at high end resorts so I was hesitant on renting a condo. I could not believe how wonderful everything was. The unit was clean and decorated really nice. The view from e-10 was to die for. Every room had sweeping ocean views. And out the kitchen window we could see the napali coast. I will be definitely be returning. In my oppinion this location on the north shore of kauai is the best. You have hanelei and all the princeville restaurants to choose from if you aren't spending the evening cooking in the well equipped kitchen in the condo. Overall it was an amazing vacation and the condo at sea lodge made it perfect.
A guest from Oak Grove, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2013 This unit lived up to the description with one exception - sleeps 4. Two people would need to sleep (or try to sleep) on an extremely uncomfortable sofa sleeper. The "mattress" consisted of metal coils with a very thin cover. We arrived at about 9 PM and found no bedding for the sofa sleeper and messages to the property manager resulted in a response that none would be available until the next day. We also inquired about getting some type of mattress topper to make sleeping on that bed possible for the one adult using it. We did receive sheets and a single foam pad the next day. Other than the rough start, the rest of the stay was perfect!
David F. from Poulsbo, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in October, 2013 We were glad we chose the north shore (except for the day we took the long trip to Waimea Canyon). The Princeville area had most of the Hawaiian experience we were looking for in our getaway. Our condo in the E group must have had one of the greatest views around, and the appointments were pretty much complete (we'd suggest adding a cookie sheet to the kitchen). Very nice experience!
A guest from Los Osos, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2013 Sealodge was a great location for exploring the north shore and the views from all three large Windows was phenomenal. The unit was clean and neat and well equipped. The beach chairs were handy but there was lots of other things to use. We had brief encounters with staff fixing a light and a blind. They were both professional and courteous and timely too. Only negative is lack of gas barbeques. No AC but with Windows open we were fine. We will be back. Very private unit with no one above or on either side. Very quiet complex. Wish there was shade in pool area.
Top floor sun rise moon rise ocean views na' pali views.
A guest from Phoenix, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2013 Everything was as advertised. We had a great time. The only issue was the bugs...not the ants or the cockroaches that were fairly numerous despite cleaning the counters and sink regularly. The five inch centipede that was crawling across the kitchen floor the last night and the wasps that had a nest in the entry stairway's shingles. We killed the centipede and your very nice and helpful grounds keeper took care of the wasps after I was stung twice and alerted him to the hive. I'll still be back, the place was amazing besides that!!!!!!
A guest from Anchorage, Alaska recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2013 We loved the view from the condo and the nice breeze that blew all the time. The property was clean and well equipped.
Kevin T. from Riverside, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2013 It was our first time staying at a vacation rental. We stayed in Maui last year in a resort. After staying at this condo we would never go back to a resort. We loved having our own kitchen, washer, dryer, and etc. The view from our condo was amazing. It actually felt like home. I totally recommend this place!
Brad T. from Bend, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2013 We really enjoyed E 10 at Sealodge. The location was fantastic. From the bed, the view of the ocean was amazing. We would definitely stay at this condo again.
Jean W. from Fraser, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2013 The condo was well stocked and very nice. We loved the view and felt like the owner paid close attention to making his guests comfortable. Thank you
Grier C. from Estacada, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2013 Everything was as perfect as it could be other than a glitch with the internet connection which the staff attempted to fix. This had been an on-going problem. Otherwise, wow! Great view, excellent location, the interior warm and comfy. Wide open window looking out on the ocean from the bedroom. We had the most wonderful time.
A guest from San Jose, California recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in February, 2013 The condo was just as we expected and perfect for my wife and I as our home base for the week. Everything we needed including a beautiful views of the ocean - although you are reminded you are on the north shore by the sounds of the winds.
A guest from St Charles, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in January, 2013 The rental was for a week with only my husband and myself staying at the property. I loved the location and the large window views. The rental company was professional and very responsive. During our stay, I learned that sea lodge was one of the oldest complexes in princeville, but you would never know it from the wonderful upkeep and care given this unit. I would stay here again and refer friends!
David R. from Westminster, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in January, 2013 Never made it to the Sealodge Beach as it was always raining and the trail has become a bit hazardous for us older folks. All major activities are on the South side of the Island which requires a long drive. Still well worth it as the South is crowded and Princeville and the beaches up North are nice and quite.
Donna G. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2012 Where else can you go to see the sunrise, the ocean, a lighthouse and albatrose flying by from your bed? Superb in every way!
Jessica L. from Los Altos, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2012 We are frequent visitors to Kauai--most often staying in Poipu. We found SeaLodge a nice respite, quiet, and relaxing. The view of the morning sunrise was spectacular and the full moon mesmerizing as it cast over the water and lighthouse. It got a bit warm when there was no wind, but the sound of the waves in the evening lulled us to sleep. The condo was very well equipped (w/all the necessities we needed) and created a real sense of a home away from home. Sealodge beach is a must for the adventurous. We would love to come back some time and/or recommend to a friend.
Kimberly G. from Hesperia, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in November, 2012 The Privceville Sealodge E10 Condo is a wonderful place to stay while visiting Kauai. Every morning we would watch the beautiful sunrise and look out over the ocean and coastline as we lay in bed. The views from every window are just amazing. The condo was very comfortable, clean, quiet and well stocked with everything we needed along with some unexpected items such as snorkel gear, beach gear, binoculars. We will definitely stay here again. We had such a wonderful time.
A guest from Louisville, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2012 Stunning views, well kept and equipped including Hawaii guide books, quiet and convenient location for activities in the Hanalei area, would be happy to stay here again.
A guest from Dale, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2012 We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at E10. The unit was clean and the kitchen was well-equipped for a rental, which made preparing our own meals a breeze. The unit also had other thoughtful touches--hiking guides, Hawaiian music CDs, beach gear, and an assortment of books to read on the beach. The views from the unit were fabulous. It was wonderful to wake up every morning to see the sunrise from bed. Sealodge Beach was lovely and uncrowded, and we enjoyed the hike down. E10 is the only unit on the third floor, so it felt very private and cozy. Overall the property was quiet and peaceful. We so enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend.
Fred M. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2012 This was our first stay in Hawaii. WE very much enjoyed the Sea Lodge. Black out curtains in the bedroom would be a great addition. If you like to eat in bring some zip lock bags and rubber bands to close things up.Quiet area-nice for us!Sea Lodge has a view of the ocean but NO crashing waves. Some nice shops, grocery store and great shaved ice nearby. Find the short cut if you walk or drive. Our visit was 1/2 over before we thought to look for one.Hanalei is awesome and not far from Princeville. Tunnels Beach was perfect for the wedding we attended and for snorkling. All in all-GREAT!
A guest from Bath, Somerset recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in July, 2012 Great professional efficient and friendly vacation rental company. all queries answered promptly and helpfully.Great condo
Sharon A. from Lakeside, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in May, 2012 My husband & I really enjoyed our stay @ this property. If we can afford, we will be back. The bed was very comfortable. Kitchen was fully equipped. The view was great oceanfront. No one in the way of the view and very private.
janet w. from Dillon, CO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in May, 2012 I would not recommend E10 for a couple of reasons. It was not as clean as one would expect for the nightly rate. It was neat but not neccessarily clean. For exambple, I had to scrub the bathtub prior to taking a bath. This is not acceptable for 140$ per night. And the unit itself was cluttered with too much furniture that did not take advantage of the view.
A few maintenance problems but otherwise wonderful
Steven R. from Sunnyvale, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2012 The unit is on the third (top) floor: lots of stairs but no neighbors. Excellent view. Very tastefully decorated, and well stocked. I had maintenance problems with the clothes washer, the screen door, and the shower. The rental company reports that all are being addressed. If you're looking for the sound of the ocean, this isn't it: Princeville is on a bluff too high above the ocean for that. The sound you get is the constant wind through the palm trees. The views of the ocean and reef are superb. You can easily see all the way to the Kilauea Lighthouse.
Richard S. from Sammamish, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2012 We love the decor and the views and the condo was very clean and well appointed. Grounds were well kept. Pool lovers will be disappointed so if you are into pools look elsewhere. Parking was great. Neighbors were quiet and respectful which makes a great rental experience. We love sealodge. Aloha
dave c. from denver, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2012 Could not be unhappy with any aspect of our stay-good location, everything you could need, great view and pretty grounds. Mother nature didn't completely cooperate, but even that wasn't that bad! Will stay here longer next time. Thanks!
A guest from olympia, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in January, 2012 This complex is always our choice for our time on the north shore. E10 was beautifully appointed and had the reef front view we seek.
A guest from St. Louis, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in January, 2012 Property properly represented. Location excellent. Views wonderful. Thought the paperwork to get rental was excessive and not totally needed. Could have been more personalized to the specific place--realize with multiple properties require somewhat template approach. Had good experience in getting a mechanical problem fixed.
joseph c. from rancho Palos Verdes, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2011 This is an enchanting condo in Princeville, Kauai at the Sealodge that is on the bluffs overlooking the ocean. It is adjacent to beautiful Hanalei Bay. The condo was so clean with a lovely decor and gorgeous views. On our arrival we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It is a delightful "aerie" on the top floor so it is quiet, too. Mele Kalikimaka!
A guest from CASPAR, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2011 We always love coming to Sea Lodge. This was our 4th time and we would come back. The unit we were in was a bit old fashioned and needed a few fixes. We called David, but did not hear back from him. Jeannie was very helpful, and when I told her a couple things needed fixing she said she would forward these to David and he would call us. Again, no call. What needed fixing: the stopper in the bathroom sink, the blinds in the living room which could not go up or down, and an expired light in the kitchen (which is rather dark). The tv in the living room is poorly placed because it doesn't face the couch or chair. It faces the sliding glass window to the deck. A discrepancy was that we paid the $85 cleaning fee and the literature inside the unit claimed the cleaning fee was included. For the extra fees (service, taxes and cleaning), it was a bit overpriced for our 3 night stay. Had we stayed a week, these costs would have averaged out better, but that's hindsight! We always appreciate owner's different touches which make Sea Lodge feel like home. Beautiful, clean grounds and located well in Princeville for our needs.
A guest from Santa Rosa, California recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in November, 2011 This was a very nice condo in a wonderful location - right on the cliff overlooking the ocean. Although it is quite small this was fine for the two of us and we really enjoyed staying here. The kitchen is limited for doing much cooking but breakfast and lunch worked fine. Overall, for the price this was a good choice.
Chuck G. from Irvine, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2011 The interior of the unit was great. Beautifully decorated and in good condition. The location great as well. Our only thoughts are that the exterior of the units needed a little facelift or upgrades. Other than that we loved it and would recommend it to friends.
Michael M. from Oakland, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in October, 2011 Great, private unit, with terrific views. Have stayed twice before in D8 which is very similar. Both are terrific units. Love Sealodge Beach down the path below the condos.
David J. from South Euclid, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2011 Rental unit was clean and well equipped. The views from the 3 picture windows were incredible. Steady trade winds keep things comfortable, even without air conditioning. Plenty of space for two. A boggie board to borrow would have been appreciated. Very quiet and peaceful. I'd definitely recommend this unit. The north coast of Kauai is the best for natural beauty.
A guest from Seattle, Washington recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2011 This is an outstanding property - with a few exceptions. Because of the stairs to the unit, an older occupant with heavy luggage might have problems negotiating the stairs. (3 flights, a total of 29 steps). There is no air conditioning (at least none that we could find), and the ever present wind usually provides a comfortable atmosphere. However, when it rains heavily, with a strong wind blowing, you have to close all the windows, and the door to the lanai. If you do not, there is the possibility of a lot of water coming into the unit. When all doors and windows are closed, it can become somewhat "stuffy" inside. If you can get by the wind situation, this is a very nice unit.
A guest from Oakton, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2011 Overall, the property was tastefully decorated and well-equipped with everything I needed to live for a week. I appreciated the small touches like dish soap, a starter coffee pack, beach towels, swim fins, water bottles, etc, although a small cooler would have been a great amenity. The bed was very comfortable, and the view was incredible. The only issues I had were with the condition of the appliances--the washing machine began leaking when I tried to do a load. Also, the evening lighting wasn't quite bright enough. Some different lamps would have helped. This is a minor quibble, but I didn't particularly care for the blinds. They didn't do a good job of keeping out those very bright Eastern sunrises, and when the windows were open (which was pretty much constantly in order to keep the unit cool), they made annoying clanking noises in the breeze. I'd recommend ear plugs and a sleep mask for light sleepers. Overall though, a solid unit in a very convenient location, and I'd recommend it.
Kevin J. from Eugene, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2011 This unit is a bit small; I wouldn't recommend it for more than two. The view east (sunrise!) is fabulous; it doesn't have much of a sunset view.
Condo in Paradise - Wonderful, restful stay. Condo is beautifully furnished. The views overlooking the water are phenomenal!
A guest from Fort Collins, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2011 Just one small but important suggestion: A non-slip rubber mat for the bath would prevent slips in the bath. No comment offered about the property manager because we did not need to contact him/her.
A guest from Fawn Grove, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2011 We stayed here for 5 days in March 2011 and absolutely loved the property. It rained most of the time so we spent a lot of time in the unit. Very comfortable. Extremely clean. AWESOME ocean view. Plush mattress. LCD TV, DVD player, many DVD movies. Tons of Kauai-related books in the condo. We even found many additional useful items in the condo which were not listed, such as cooking spices, laundry detergent, dishwasher soap, even "Axe" brand shower gel, etc. These were great, but it would be nice to know exactly what items are available before packing and traveling with the same things. I would give this condo 5 stars for cleanliness if it weren't for a very dirty/dust-filled bathroom ceiling fan (almost looked like a fire hazard). Other than that, we had no complaints with this very nicely appointed and affordable condo. The outside grounds were magnificently landscaped and well-manicured, almost like out of a movie. We would highly recommend Sealodge E10 to anyone.
Greg S. from Littleton, Colorado recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in February, 2011 This was our third stay in E10, although it has been six years since the last one. As always, the unit was very clean and the renovations quite nice.We have always found Sealodge the best place to stay on the North Shore due to location, view !! and price. We have recommended it to friends and had quite a favorable response. We would not stay anywhere else on Kauai.
Donald E. from Pembroke Pines, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2010 LOCATION AND VIEW THE BEST. GREG S. from FALLBROOK, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2010 Overall a great stay. Great views off both decks (sunrise and sunsets),and convenient to all sites. Steps up may be difficult for some, but should not deter you if you are healthy. Pool temp. could be a bit warmer. Condo is well stocked and in very quiet area.
A guest from Des Moines, Washington recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2010 We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience at E10. The views are spectacular, the constant breezes through the unit were refreshing and everything we needed was included. It was extremely difficult to shut the door for the final time and leave this unit.
A guest from Lewisville, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2010 Sealodge unit E10 is a great place for a couple to stay on Kauai. It would be too small for more than two people. The condo was very well furnished, well stocked, very clean and had sensational ocean views from the living area, lanai and the bedroom. The view from the kitchen was just as spectacular with distant ocean views and a great view of the mountains and waterfalls. The only complaint is that the unit advertised free WiFi with no password required. We were unable to get the WiFi to work so we called David as listed in the instructions that came with our final payment. David called back and while he was very nice, he suggested that I would have to solve the problem by calling the cable company and arranging for them to come out and test the unit. I was not up for taking on that responsibility since I was on a much needed vacation. Other than that, our vacation in Sealodge unit E10 was exceptional.
A guest from Peoria, AZ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 30 days in March, 2010 this was my retirement gift to myself - the view and location was awesome - finding the right people to speak with concerning maintenance, etc. was awful - on my part, t-mobile was not useful on Kauai - also, free wifi was advertised - it never worked; I was most unhappy with the fact that there were 29 steps-one way-to the condo - it never occurred to me to ask. I felt the rental agent berated me thinking I was saying that I did not like the condo itself, or the view - mentioning the fact that I had gotten a 'great' price - implying that perhaps I should have paid more? I paid the price that was quoted to me. My discouragement was not about the view, which was lovely, or the condo itself - it was just so frustrating trying to get in touch with the right person to resolve issues. I love Kauai; everyday I went somewhere to take in its total beauty and serenity and I will return to this beautiful island - but never through your agency
Property Manager Response: Response from Ahh Aloha Kauai Vacation Rentals It always makes us sad to hear a guest hasn't had a wonderful time, particularly when it could have been easily avoided. Our check-in instructions tell guests to call our guest services manager in case of maintenance issues (and his phone number is provided). He'll even come over and get you onto the internet if you need help. The problem with the steps, that we cannot solve, it's a 3rd floor condo. But we've got beautiful ground floor units for those who don't like to climb stairs!
A guest from San Jose, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in February, 2010 Not enough blankets. Hated thin scratchy towels. Sheets were not soft. Suggest going to Costco buying good sheets and towels there for more positive upscale feeling. Also suggest spice rack for cooking... it is a condo!Very sleepless nights because of wind noise and something coming loose from roof.
Property Manager Response: Response from Ahh Aloha Kauai Vacation Rentals Our Sealodge condos use a linen service, and it is true that the towels are on the thin and scratchy side. This is good for quick drying time and preventing the growth of mold in such a damp climate. Those benefits are not always appreciated by guests who like thick plush towels :-( We have asked our cleaner to insure that all units have at least one spare blanket in the linen closet. We want our guests to be comfortable!
Angela K. from Ponte Vedra, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in February, 2010 Enjoyed our stay at the Sealodge. e10 was very clean, comfortable and had breathtaking views!! Thank-you so much for a wonderful stay!!
