Connie P. from Cayucos, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2016 Beautiful views. Awesome sunsets. Perfect location. The Teac sound system and all speakers were non functional and source of frustration. Therefore, should be replaced or removed. Pendant lights in kitchen need appropriate bulbs. Sofa needs to be replaced. Those minor fixes would improve the enjoyment and comfort
A guest from Monterey, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in April, 2016 WE HAVE BEEN VACATIONING ON KAUAI FOR OVER 25 YEARS...AND THIS EXPERIENCE IN 119 RANKS WITH THE BEST...GREAT UNIT, GREAT VIEW...AND THIS YEAR GREAT WEATHER...WE LOOK FORWARD TO STAYING IN 119 NEXT YEAR!!!
A guest from San Jose, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 8 days in April, 2016 When we entered the condo we were taken with the lovely view of the ocean. I went to open the patio screen and it came crashing down - my husband easily fixed it. When I went to check out the bathroom, I stepped into a puddle on the floor and found that the washerd was broken, filled with water and leaking. I called and was told that it just happened and would be fixed. No problem, these things happen. We used a pitcher to empty most of the water out and shoved a beach towel under the machine to catch the water. Five days later the stagnant water in the washing machine began to smell. I called again and was told they would at least empty the tub and disinfect. By this time we were out of towels ( they were 3 bath towels) and I called housekeeping. The housekeeper was apologetic and brought us fresh towels within 20 minutes because we couldn't do any laundry. No one ever showed up to fix the washer.
Maureen A. from San Diego, California recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2016 This setting could not have been better for our 10 year anniversary trip (sans children). We are from San Diego so we really appreciated the landscape on this side of the island. The condo had everything we needed, but the best parts are the location and views. When looking out at the bay and Bali Hai, you cannot see any sign of another human-just views of nature. It was quiet and the private beach had good enough snorkeling and was worth the steep walk down. We went all around the island, but really liked the small island town feel in Hanalei. Beach towels, chairs, etc were plenty for the two of us and everything was very clean.
Jeff c. from Marina del Rey, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in March, 2016 We have stayed in this unit five times and always love it. This year, the bugs won. I don't know if it was just a bad year, as we have never had a bug problem, but this year there was a SEVERE roach problem in the kitchen. It took everything I had not to move to another location. The workmanship on the kitchen counters (shotty) had a lot to do with the bugs access to the counters. The management company did address it on day 6 and it helped. Not the best vacation for us this time.
GEORGE D. from CALGARY, ALBERTA recommends this property. Stayed for 12 days in February, 2016 Great vavation, wonderful location, unitgetting old, could use a good top to bottomcleaning, we would rent again.
Kevin K. from Ridgefield, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2016 We highly recommend this condo to anyone. The views were amazing! We try hated to leave. The condo was clean and had updated. It's only one room but very nice. I highly recommend this condo for anyone!
A guest from Victoria, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2016 My husband and I spent a week in Princeville. It was our first time staying in north Kauai and we really enjoyed staying at the Pali Ke Kua unit 119. This condo is so spacious, bright and the view spectacular. The kitchen is modern and well furnished. The king size bed so comfortable. We will certainly come back next year.
Tamara P. from Jackson, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in January, 2016 The condo was very clean and lovely. The view is gorgeous! We loved the private beach, although it was a bit of a hike. The only complaints I have is that there are no grills on site!! Our paper work and the site stated that there were so we shopped to grill out, grill anywhere. Pot holders and a few more pans that can go in the oven would be handy also. Overall all though, comfortable, wonderful place to stay!! Just update your paperwork!!
Kory M. from Sunnyvale, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2015 The best attribute of this condo is the location and view. The interior is filled with deferred maintenance items which seriously detracts from the overall experience.
Arthur S. from Texarkana, Texas recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2015 Hawaii, especially the north shore of Kauai, is a state of 's magical and beautiful: that's the view you have every day at this Pali Ke Kua location. We love the north shore for all it has and for all it doesn't have. Everything you need is provided: snorkel gear, beach towels, chairs, kitchen utensils, comfortable king bed, W/D, and A/C in the bedroom. It's not all brand new, but it's impeccably clean. Kudos to the housekeeper. Thanks to all the staff.
Hawa F. from Orange, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2015 We stayed at this condo for 7 nights and the best part was the location and the ocean front panoramic views. The rental itself is somewhat out dated, but we noticed most rentals on Kauai are. The kitchen was brand new but the rest of the unit and the furniture is old. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need to make a great dinner and enjoy on your patio, but remember to bring lots of mosquito repellant. The only thing that bothered us was the strong damp/mold smell after each rain. I think it may be because the unit is on the first floor ??, but we have stayed on Kauai 6 times before and it was the first time we encountered such a strong mold/damp smell, especially in the bathroom and bedroom. The location and views make up for it though.
A guest from Mauai, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2015 Fantastic location...beautiful views....great corner unit & sense of privacy...condo was very clean...needs some minor maintenance due to its age....window screens had some tears....louvered window screens did not fit the window frames...not all of the drawstring slatted blinds closed easily...fridge was old...furniture was fine & comfortable...bedroom was quiet & comfortable...could use some new lanai furniture....couldn't connect to Wi-Fi without a computer....nothing too off-putting..the condo complex was lo-key & nicely landscaped...beach area difficult to reach...steep path...Good experience on Kauai overall
Kadi B. from Hixson, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2015 We stayed her our last 4 nights on the island. We were extremely pleased with the location, the view and the condo itself. We were also very thankful for the AC unit in the bedroom due to there being very little breeze while we were there. We would stay here again in a second! Extremely convenient location. We easily traveled to and from the condo all along the Northshore. The beach below is semi-secluded and offers great snorkeling with turtles!
Austin T. from Charlotte, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2015 We had a great time while we were at the Pali Ke Kua. The condo came as advertised, was very clean, and the views were great. If you don't mind a little bit of a short, steep hike, there is a semi private beach at the bottom of the cliff below the condo. The only downside was that our washer was broken at the beginning of our stay. That being said, the staff responded within 24h and had it fixed the following day. I would highly recommend this condo!
A guest from Plano, TX-Texas recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2015 This condo is situated exactly where you want to be if breathtaking views of sunsets, Bali Hai and the Pacific Ocean are important to you. It doesn't get any better than this! We were here during the summer, so the temperatures can get pretty warm. Typically the trade winds cool you down, but when they aren't blowing, then having AC available in the bedroom is wonderful! Great condo, great experience, can't wait to come back!
Dale J. from Nipomo, California recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2015 Great location for walking out and watching the sunrise light up Bali Hai and the beautiful sunsets. Hideaway Beach down below was a bit of a steep walk, but well worth it for views above & fish below. Only negative of location was the hot late afternoon sun made it difficult to sit out on the lanai at that time. Otherwise, we highly recommend Pali Ke Kua 119. And don't forget to take advantage of local Farmer's Markets and eat at home a few nights!
A guest from Harvard, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2015 The location, view and condition of this unit were excellent. To wake up each morning and look out the wall of windows/door to a vast ocean, was priceless. The unit is complete with all conveniences, beautiful kitchen, and large bathroom. We traveled around the entire island, and would choose this location on a return trip. The rental company was easy to work with, professional and even sent emails to us on the day of departure letting us know that there was construction on the road (and to allow more time to drive to airport). A great experience.
A guest from Virginia Beach, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2015 First, I don?t know if the owner is just really, really afraid of bad or rowdy renters ruining his place, but the lease on this place is a bit ridiculous, quite obviously written by a lawyer & leaves you, the renter, completely responsible should ANYTHING go wrong. I wouldn?t have rented this one due to the lease alone if I didn?t have my heart set on the location. That aside, the unit is adequate. It?s not the Ritz, but it'll get you by. Out of 3 places we stayed during our trip, this one had the best bed by far. It?s nicely furnished. The extra beach stuff is great (2 boogie boards, 3 beach umbrellas, a cooler & 2 folding chairs w/carry bags. There were plenty of dishes & pots & an adequate supply of cooking utensils, a coffee maker, iron, ironing board, microwave, washer & dryer. So, you have pretty much everything you need for a pleasant stay. A few upgrades could be done to make the place just a little nicer, like something more than a $5 shower head, closet doors that actually stay on the track, door stoppers so the bedroom door doesn?t slam shut when the windows are open, a sliding screen door that you don't have to fight with to open & updated blinds because they were the cheapest, most awful blinds I've ever seen in a rental anywhere. My husband & I own a window treatment company so that last one was of particular annoyance to us. Probably wouldn't annoy other people nearly as much except for the fact that they're barely operable. But if the owner ever reads this review, we?d be willing to exchange new blinds for a week?s stay & you need them, badly!Regardless, the location & view is why you stay here and it's worth it. Everything else is just fluff as long as it's clean & this place was. All that said, I highly recommend Pali Ke Kua. The location of this particular unit (119) is great, but so are many others. If you can find one with a more reasonable lease, you may want to go for it instead. Other than that, I highly recommend it.
Lisa H. from Sandy, Utah recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2015 We really enjoyed our stay at Pali Ke Kua 119. We were comfortable and had plenty of room to relax in. The condo was clean and in good condition. We had a few maintenance issues that were attended to when we called.Very quiet! Just what we needed. Would love to come again.
Robert L. from Coeur D Alene, ID recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2015 I am the owner of Vacation Rental Authority in Coeur d'Alene Idaho. I manage 50 + vacation rentals and I expect a lot from my VR experience. This home was perfectly advertised and met all my expectations. The condo was clean and well furnished and had several items in the closet for a nice day at the beach, including beach towels, cooler and folding chairs. The pre-arrival communication was great but the app did not work for me. The communication was well thought out so I could easily find the condo and let myself in. I loved this location. I have been to many VR's on Kauai and I was looking for an ocean view on the north side with good beach access. This was the perfect location. Thank you so much for sharing your condo with us. I will highly recommend this unit and I am sure I will be back.
A guest from Homeworth, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in March, 2015 Beautiful setting and very comfortable. Easy access to shopping and sight seeing. The Italian restaurant at the end of the parking lot was excellent. All that being said, when we got there the bathroom smelled of urine around the toilet and needed some TLC around the base of the washer and dryer. A few light bulbs were out in the shower and living area. The kitchen stove has the wrong size burner pans under the heating elements which causes the burners to sit very crooked and makes it difficult to cook on. Would I recommend this to a friend? Absolutely and already have to several friends and family. I don't mean this to be a condemnation of the unit but if I were the owner or manager, these small things would be an asset to future rentals. We loved our stay there and will return in 3-4 years!
A guest from Ventura, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2015 The location of Unit 119 on the property and the amazing view it provided, was unparalleled! This is a corner unit so you can see the view from the dining area and from the living room and patio areas. Just spectacular!! That being said, although the condo was clean and comfortable, it definitely needs some TLC. The kitchen countertops/cabinets appeared to have been upgraded, however, there were other things that need some work. The closet door in the bathroom was broken and the screen for the sliding glass door was difficult to open and close due to rust on the metal tracks. The vertical blinds throughout the unit should probably be replaced, as there were issues with them closing properly. In spite of the necessary repairs, the condo was quite comfortable and the location couldn't have been better. We would definitely return.
A guest from San Diego, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2014 Would love to rate this property higher, but our experience was not positive. The condo itself was modest, fairly dated but all of the amenities were provided. The bed was comfortable, although the back room was very dark. The view was spectacular - you can not only see the waves from the couch, you have a 180 view of the mountains west of Hanelei Bay. There is a small restaurant on the property, but Princeville Center is a mile and half walk from the condo - which was a perfect walk for us for groceries, coffee, some light fare, etc, and means we didn't have to drive all the time, which is required for most of the rest of the island. The major problem was the condo next door was having a full remodel and was very noisy. Saws and drills and hammering Sat and Monday before we requested to leave. So disappointing because the mgmt company knew the construction was going to be going on. The place they moved us to was ok, but the view wasn't the same. Wouldn't recommend renting from Ahh again.
A guest from Solon Springs, WI recommends this property. Stayed for 15 days in November, 2014 Wonderful location. Comfortable condo. Beautiful view. Enjoyed our stay. Well equipped, comfy bed, love being able to walk out from the lanai to the cliff edge. And no railing to obstruct your view. First floors at Pali ke Kua tend to be noisy (from the upstairs unit) so if that's a concern for you, rent a second floor unit. Ahh Aloha is super to do business with.
Vincent G. from WICHITA, KS recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2014 Expecting the weather to be rainy we scheduled a helicopter flight the first day being that check in time was 3:00 p.m. We got there late but not to late to be welcomed by a rainbow. The location is great. It sprinkled a few times during our stay but hardly at that. Rainbows everyday and the view was tremendous. We saw a turtle below. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and there was salt and pepper and more. It would be nice to see an inventory so you wouldn't buy things in advance that you didn't need like we did. There is a grocery store just east of the main road and some restaurants. We shopped there and applied for a store card to get discounts. We ate at Lotus Garden which was cheap and good. There was ample space inside. The only down side was the kitchen chairs were uncomfortable and some of the beach equipment had not been cleaned very well and other equipment was old but usable. We saw a very small cooler and used it for drinks. The Wi-fi was iffy but it could be my T-Mobile service. I was very satisfied overall with the place. There was a ghecko inside but no big deal. However, we saw a large wiggly centipede (4-5 inches long) crawling in our bedroom. We saw another one in the bedroom but it was dead. No biggy for me though.
A guest from Wills, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in May, 2014 All in all it was a nice spot. I was disappointed it was not cleaner. Not all floors had been mopped and cobwebs on dinning light I'm sure have been there for years. Great set of dishes but nothing to cook with in oven. It would have been nice if we were informed on what kind of coffee filters the maker needed, since we got in late and there were no filters to tide us over.
A guest from Cypress, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2014 My wife and I truly enjoyed our honeymoon while staying in the condo at Pali Ke Kua. The location was great and we had access to everything we needed. We will definitely rent again and would recommend to our family and friends. Thank you!
Richard S. from La Habra, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in March, 2014 We had a great time watching the whales and waves. Being older, we stayed in the condo alot of the time but had great walks. Only problem is they needed more wash cloths and a teflon skillet. FUN,FUN,FUN. Thanks.
Michael S. from New York, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2014 We greatly enjoyed our time in Princeville (we are repeat visitors to magical Kauai) and the unit afforded us spectacular views of the ocean, Na Pali, and Hanalei Bay as well as a location convenient to all in the North and East of the island. The unit itself, while capacious, is a bit tired with worn kitchen and bath cabinetry, and somewhat drab and dated furnishingsand carpet in need of freshening or replacement. There is also an ant issue in the kitchen (but we have also found this elsewhere in Kauai). We were fine with fans and a unit AC in the bedroom in January, but would wonder about summer comfort. For us, the view and locale cancelled out the negatives.
A guest from Sandy, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in January, 2014 The view from this unit was spectacular. Before we went we questioned why it was rated as not wheelchair accessible. We were not given a reason but were told that it was on the ground floor. This was true. However, you have to go down a rather steep walkway (reason for it not being wheelchair accessible) and my husband had a few problems with navigating the walkway. The unit is very nice, but could use a little sprucing up. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay even though the weather was not the best. We would recommend it to anyone who would not have a problem with the walkway. In this particular building, the upper level units would be better for older people who might have trouble on the steep walkway.
A guest from Driggs, ID recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in December, 2013 Great place! View is fantastic! Drinking coffee and/or cocktails watching whales breach doesn't get much better than that. Very quiet and relaxing.
Julia D. from Vancouver, BC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 11 days in November, 2013 The outlook from this unit is magnificent. The unit is in serious need of upgrading, the kitchen utensils ,shower curtain ,blunt kitchen knives, bedroom carpet should be replaced soon. The under cupboard kitchen lights were not working the plug in the bathroom sink does not work, the cupboards in the bathroom which is your clothes closet come off their track every time you open the doors, very frustrating indeed. Generally the lighting was poor, the standard lamp in the living room was broken so it was taken away for repair .the entrance way light needed changing . The rental agency gave a company in Hanalei out home tel # ,they wanted to come in and fix the kitchen lighting, so we got the message when we got home!We have stayed in many Princeville units so we know what is out there!we would not stay here again unless there are serious upgrades made, it looks tired.
David P. from Petersburg, NJ recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2013 The location was perfect and better than we had imagined!! Unit 119 is approximately 15' from the edge of a cliff overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed walking from the lanai with our every morning to stroll along the edge and enjoy the view. The overall property around the complex is landscaped and maintained as well as any resort anywhere. The major difference is that you do not have the crowds. The other guests/residents are quiet and friendly. Our unit (119) had everything we needed (and more)....Beach towels, chairs, facemasks/snorkels...the kitchen had a lot of extras (spices, seasonings, etc) which helped reduce our initial food shopping list. The unit has books on Kauai which were very useful in helping us with our daily outings. To anyone staying here, don't forget to visit Hideaway Beach at the bottom of the cliff...very scenic and secluded. We highly recommend this place! And if we ever return to Kauai, we would consider no other place to stay than here.
A guest from Happy Valley, OR does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2013 PKK119 is a reasonable property for a good price but probably wouldn't stay here again. PKK in itself is in a great location with great views of Bali Hai from several spots on the property. Ocean views from PKK119 were really great. Reasons we wouldn't stay here again: a/c was portable unit in room and very noisy; mosquitoes were an issue outside front door and came in with us each time we entered; noise level from 2nd level units was annoying - exceptionally bad on move in/out & cleaning days; property allows pets - dog on 2nd level... We would consider a 2nd level unit at PKK in the future, but at the same time, don't want to be the noisy upstairs neighbors so maybe not.
A guest from Redmond, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in October, 2013 The location and view of this property were fantastic. Beautiful sunsets daily, along with frequent rainbows made for great photos right from the deck. The unit was very comfortable and spacious. It had everything we needed for our 8 night stay. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning unit in the bedroom helped us sleep well. The window blinds in the unit could use replacing, as there were several missing slats. We enjoyed our stay so much we are looking forward to a return visit soon!
A guest from Albany, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in September, 2013 We once again loved our stay at Pali Ke Kau this time in unit #119. The AC in the bedroom was wonderful! The location and view are amazing. The staff at Ahh Aloha were pleasant and helpful from booking, arrival and during our stay. Thank you for a great place to celebrate our anniversary. We will definitely pick this location again!
Beautiful Location, but Dilapidated Conditions and Poor Support
A guest from Santa Barbara, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2013 The property is in a beautiful location with extensive ocean views. Some of the problems: very old refrigerator had broken ice maker, and no ice cube trays. Slats on blinds in living and dining room didn't work properly. Some slats just fell on the floor and others just didn't turn. Missing light bulb in the lamp in the living room. No proper reading lights in the bedroom. Controls on washer and dryer had been removed, so they couldn't be used. Worst of all wasthe incompetent and uncaring manager who said he would send ice cubes the first day, which he never did. After a second call late on the second day a young boy came around and knocked on the door asking if we were the ones with bed bugs! When we told him no that we needed some old fashioned ice cube trays so we could make ice, he finally brought some back some hours later. There was a key with the label "pool" on a hook, so when we tried to use the pool we took it, only to find that was an old system and we needed a card instead! After trudging back to our unit, we found an unmarked card on a tray next to the door, which turned out to be for the pool. When the number of the manager given on the sheet left for us was dialed, there was a recorded message saying there was no such number!!! (Later we found out the first three digits are to be used only when calling the manager long distance.) Some of these problems could so easily be corrected.
A guest from New York, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2013 From the moment we entered the door we knew we were in honeymoon heaven. Everything about this condo is absolutely beautiful - it is spacious, comfortable, homey, clean, and the location could not be better. The apartment is overlooking the most breathtaking view. We had so much fun eating and relaxing on the back porch while watching the sunset over the water every night. Driving down the main road in Princeville, we were surprised to notice that none of the other well known hotels or condos were directly on the water the way Pali Ke Kua was. Even after visiting the extremely expensive St. Regis hotel down the street, we had no doubt that we made the best selection. Besides the amazing location on the water and close convenience to all shopping and attractions in Princeville, the condo itself was so quiet, clean and comfortable. We slept so well in the bed there and still miss it! After traveling around all day we were so happy to be able to cook in the kitchen every night. The kitchen was stocked with all dishes and cookware that we needed and definitely added to our experience. We never wanted to leave this beautiful condo and would live there if we could. We will definitely be recommending this place to friends and family in the future.
A guest from Watsonville, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 Had a great time. Condo has pretty much everything you need. View was awesome.Just can't BBQ on these properties.Short, but steep path to the beach. Snorkeling was incredible.AC in bedroom definately helped to cool the place off at night. Definately worth it!
Tom S. from Rancho Cordova, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2013 screendoors on slider were hard to open and close.there were slats missing on the vertical blinds and they did not close properly.the am and fm radio functions didn't work only static.other than that we enjoyed the view and the walk to the beach
A guest from Sunnyvale, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2013 Everything was clean and in good condition but I don't think the decor has been updated since before I was born. I was having flashbacks to visiting my grandparents in the eighties. The ocean view from the patio was very nice, and the sunsets were beautiful.
Property Manager Response: Response from Ahh Aloha Kauai Vacation Rentals We're so sorry you did not find the décor to your taste. It was completely, professionally redecorated inside 3 years ago, and we think it's cheerful and bright!
A guest from Sedona, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in May, 2013 It took 2 days and 5 phone calls to get a replacement pool card which only worked once. very inconvenient. The upstairs owners are loud and inconsiderate. We loved the unit but would only return if they were not there. We were grateful for the air-conditioner in the bedroom which we used every night.liked the keyless entry.
Jake M. from Tiburon, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in April, 2013 Apartment is nice, but not the best or the biggest, but the location can't be beat. If you're into view and location, this is the place.
Larry s. from Burlingame, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in March, 2013 Best by far of any condo I have ever stayed in. Management was very professional and helpful. View of ocean was exceptional. Location, location, location could not have been better. Reality was even better than the pictures on the web-site. Condo was in excellent condition. Very private and quiet. Best location in the entire complex. Air conditioner worked perfectly but I only used it one night. Kauai's natural air conditioning was better. I will definitely be back as soon as I can.
A guest from Traverse City, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2013 This condo is in a gorgeous location with an unbeatable view. The condo is serviceable, but very tired. When we arrived, it was generally clean, but the corners were dusty and there were crumbs on a rug not vacuumed. A few of the blinds are broken and the windows needed a good washing. The washer and dryer is on its last legs with the knobs missing and the kitchen is very dated. The bed was very comfortable, although I'd recommend bringing your own pillows unless you like VERY thick ones.
A guest from Prattville, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2013 We truly enjoyed our time in Kauai. Enjoyed the whole rental experience. Felt very comfortable with the person with whom I made the final arrangements. Loved the location of Pali Ke Kua. Breathe taking views from our condo. Thanks so much for making it such an easy process.
A guest from Gibsons, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2013 Stayed in Pali Ke Kua 119 in Jan 2013. Unit was in fine condition. Reasonably comfortable couch and chairs. Kitchen was well equipped, could have used a few things like a decent knife and a baking sheet. Appliances worked well. Did not need air con but tested unit, it seemed cool and quiet. Bed was comfortable, but on the firm side. Portable telephone needs replacing. Reasonable beach accessories, like snorkel, beach chairs, towels, mats, etc. Great view (but not the best at PKK), on the bluff. On our last night new people moved in to 219 upstairs and you could hear every step, sounded like they were re-arranging the furniture as well. They turned off the water one day for an emergency repair but did give us 24 hours notice. All in all a pleasant stay and I would recommend this unit.
A guest from Virginia Beach, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2013 Unit 119 has outstanding views of the ocean, whales and mountains to the west. The internet worked great and everything in the unit worked. We loved having a glass of wine and watching the sunset. I would say the kitchen is a bit dated and would recommend a sound machine if you are a light sleeper due to noise from above. Nonetheless, we would definately want to stay here again when we return to Kauai.
A guest from Antioch, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2012 We had a wonderful stay at the rental & would do so again. A few ideas, NEW pillows please, a broom is needed & mosquito spray a must.
Marlene B. from Livermore, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in November, 2012 The place was clean and furniture very nice, except the mattress on the King size bed was too firm, which involved us not sleeping well, and the 2 pillows were flat. We had a problem with the toilet overflowing and it took all day for it to be fixed. It needed a snake to clean out the problem but everyone kept coming with a plunger, which did not work. From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. it finally got fixed. we had to use the pool bathroom. until then, which was 2 times for me. But owners had to call in an all night plumber to fix it. Plus, the people working on it used the bathroom towels, which bleached out from the liquid plumber they tried using and did not work. None of the workers took off their shoes, so the rug from bedroom to living room got dirty. All this could have been a avoided had the handy man listened to me when I called in at 11 a.m. I said it needed a snake to fix the problem. I would say this is a handyman problem. Also some of the plastic window curtains need to be replaced. If people walked by at night, they most certainly could look inside.
A guest from Norwich, Vermont recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in November, 2012 GREAT PLACE-needs a manual personalizing the electronics(TV, sound system, radio), washer/dryer; didn't get the feeling the owners had personalized and cared about the place
Kevin S. from cary, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2012 We had a very good stay at this property. It was as advertised, and had all that we needed. Best parts are the view (spectacular location, ocean is right there!) and the a/c in bedroom (we were there during time when trade winds were not blowing...would have been hot in there without a/c. Really appreciated the iPod music player. Only small complaint would be that the TV (though little used) did not have HD cable service, only standard def. But in fairness, there is a "high def" view of the pacific right out the lanai!
Julie H. from Phoenix, AZ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2012 This condo desperately needs updating & remodeling. The only pro's of this Condo was the view, the air conditioner in the bedroom & fairly comfortable bed. The living room furniture is decent as is the tv. The kitchen was in bad shape, ended up not cooking much at all. Amenities were minimal. The carpet in the bedroom was gross. The cleaning service seem to do their best with what is there. We've stayed in another unit at Pali Ke Kua & it was night & day in quality for the same price. Disappointing.
Mike K. from Pottstown, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2012 View was phenomenal, rental was easy and professional, and the property is as advertised. The only reason the "general condition" got 3 stars instead of 5 was b/c the kitchen could use some updating (one cabinet door was literally falling off if you touched it) and the freestanding fan in the dining area was completely broken. That area gets hot as the sun sets even with shades drawn. Other than those minor issues, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. The 4 stars for cleanliness was just due to some grease on one of the stove's burners that created smoke when cooking. Nothing major, but thought it should be noted. Other than those minor issues, we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend.
Mark M. from South Charleston, WV recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2012 Best location in Princeville Most famous view on the island.Hide away beach is great, clean sand good snorkling and lots of turtles if you go over to the rocks on the right. Not crowded like Kee beach.Had fun picking up fresh coconuts and cracking them for really good meat and coconut water, very healthy.Condo had a couple cabinet doors that needed repair and would be nice if it had a place to rinse feet off outside as some of the units do.Cell service is weak, have to go outside to get reception with at&t. Beautiful sunsets. Best to leave the AC off and open the window vents ,get a nice crossdraft and good sleeping with fresh air.Very nice place, not a resort but I didnt want a resort. This is real Hawaii
A guest from San Diego, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 12 days in June, 2012 I stayed here on my honeymoon, and it was a wonderful location and an overall amazing experience. I would highly recommend Pali Ke Kua 119!
A guest from Draper, Utah recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 The view was spectacular and very private. My major disappointment was the plastic patio furniture. Cheap and uncomfortable. There were also slats missing from the vertical blinds in living room and bedroom. "luxury airconditioning" consisted of two separate floor units. The one in the bedroom was nice and cool but the one small unit for living room/kitchen was not very good or efficient. These are older condos and while decent. The only "luxury" about this condo was the view. Overall we did have a good time, but I thought it was overpriced considering the interior. Oh the bed was very comfortable.
Linda C. from Cyget, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2012 This was one of those rare times when what you saw in the brochure or onsite was exactly what you got - and then some! We loved our stay - everything was exactly as promised. Our bonus was being able to watch whales breaching in the surf in front of our condo. Couldn't have asked for a better stay. THANK YOU!
We absolutely loved the Unit 119 and everything was very good.
Kathy R. from Homeworth, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in March, 2012 The unit itself was very clean when we got there. We had everything we needed. The view of the ocean was perfect and we truly loved the overall location. We stayed at Puu Poa the last time..another wonderful location, but we felt this was nicer. The onsite restaurant was great as well! The service provided to us by the rental office was also very good. What questions we had, they answered them in a timely manner. We are already awaiting our next time to get back.
John M. from Bay City, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2012 This is one of the best rentals we've ever experienced. Directions to the unit were clear and simple. The unit had everything needed, plus a fantastic view. We would definitely stay here again!!!
Julie T. from Hastings, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2012 We wanted to rent a place with a view, and boy were we pleased. Great condo, clean, fully stocked. Loved the detailed instructions on how to get there, etc...I only have 2 issues with management: I would have appreciated being told the pool/hottub was closed for renovations during our stay and If I owned this unit(119)I would replace all of the window treatments, they are the frame for the beautiful view from this unit and they're pretty tired and in need of repair.Wonderful building, wonderful location, wonderful island!!! We will be back!
Jim R. from Cedar Park, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2012 Fantastic view. Princeville is a great community. Overall a great stay. A couple of concerns, however. Condo needs to have blinds on the windows replaced, very poor condition. Also concerned about receptacles in bath and bedroom where AC is plugged in. Both didn't always make good connection (needed to move plug around until proper contact could be made) which could indicate high resistance connection which can cause an overheating situation in the receptacle. Needs to be fixed and all receptacles checked just in case.
A guest from Aubrey, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2012 Amazing view. Wintertime, so super waves. Good value; comfortable. Noisy folks upstairs (moving chairs or the like very often. Not sure what). Great vacation. Nearby town of Hanalei fun. Saturday farmer market neat; be there at 9:30 to enter. Condo furnished for your needs. Does have wifi.
A guest from Oakland, California recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2012 We always return to Pali Ke Kua for it's excepitonal value, and views. We find it peaceful and quiet. Our only disappointment this trip was finding upon arrival that the pool was closed for remodel. We would have chosen a different property had we known. The pool is not exceptional, but I like to use it daily for exercise.
A guest from Tigard, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2012 Every aspect of our stay was pleasant from reservations to amenities to location. The carpet in the bedroom looks ready for a cleaning. But we would still return in a minute!
Steven L. from Los Angeles, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in January, 2012 It was clean, the view is great, quiet, which is what I wanted to get some work done at the end of my vacation. Princeville is like the suburbs and not Hawaii, but it is also five minutes from Hanalei, which is Hawaii, so what's not to like? I want to go back and get more work done soon!PS, There is zero cell reception at the condo for AT&T users.
A guest from New York, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in January, 2012 Excellent location, great view, outstanding beach (Hideways) right below, excellent restaurant on premises. Highly recommended.
Absolutely loved the location...amazing sunsets and view.
Stephanie H. from Bonita, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in December, 2011 Our condo was right on the bluff overlooking the Hanalei bay. We were convenient to the Regency Resort and beach. Very cool paved path to private beach below our condo. Very private and relaxing. I was lucky to have made this choice via internet as I was very pleased with our location and the condo was clean and all we needed. Location Location they say!
howard m. from saint Charles, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2011 Loved being there. Very nice condo with great views. Spacious and updated condo. Beautiful view. On beautiful North Shore. Only problem was long slow drive to beaches on South side of island
Trevor T. from Port Macquarie, recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2011 We thought the location was awesome and the condo very comfortable. We were extremely happy with all aspects of our stay and would thoroughly recommend it to others.
A guest from Oakland, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2011 We have rented before with Ah Aloha, and always had a good experience, start to finish. Pali Ke Kua is in a beautiful location. This time there were a few unaddressed problems with this particular unit.
Stunning ocean view from a run down, dirty, hot and loud condo
Brian T. from Sedona, AZ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 14 days in September, 2011 The view of the ocean was incredible. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the condo. It was run down, cluttered with a lot of old stuff and fake dusty plants. Along with rusty refrigerator door and the broiler setting in the oven did not work. Plus, several vertical blinds were missing that were needed to block out the sun. When we got there the screen door was not looking so you could not leave it open at night to get the much needed cool air. Many light bulbs were burnt out and only seven hangers for the two of us. Except for two pots and one pan, all others were either too scratched or burnt to use. The cutlery was actually rusty and tray filthy so we ended up washing all the cutlery again and use the least rusted one. While the property management was quick to come a fix the screen door, provide hangers and replace light bulbs and internet cable, they never came with new pots or a mop we requested so we had to mop the floor with a rag by hand. Unfortuantely the screen door fix did not last and since we did not want to be calling and they never came with the other items, we gave up. The other two big issues were being in the lower unit facing west - a bad combination in summer. Basically you could not be in the condo (except in the bedroom with the a/c unit and door closed) from 1 pm to sunset as it was so hot from the sun setting. Being in the lower unit was not great as you could hear the people walking around above and the plumbing. In the lower units you loose privacy as people walk by early in the morning and at sunset. The nice things were the keyless access to the unit, close parking, great mattress, panoramic ocean view stunning, tropical vegetation on the cliffs and around the unit, no mosquitoes, walking on the grass and private beach access. Beaware of the early 10 am check out if you have a 10 pm flight. We would recommend a remodeled unit on the second floor with a beezy east view
Property Manager Response: Response from Ahh Aloha Kauai Vacation Rentals I am very appreciative of these comments and all issues are being promptly addressed. The broiler in the oven has been set for repair. The missing blinds replaced, new pots and pans purchased, cutlery inspected, fridge painted, screen door latch repaired and potted plants cleaned. Thank you. We assure future guests that their stay will be delightful.
Neville V. from Fountain Hills, AZ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2011 This condo is on its LAST legs. I doubt the owner has re-invested more than $100 in the past 10 years (aide from the much whooped about Air Conditioner). There were 4 lights that were not working, no paper towels and one Motel 6 miniscule bar of soap. Forget locking the sliding screens - the latch doesn't work. It calcified at least 5 years ago, from what I could tell. And the condo Sun Shades, there must've been at least 4 - 6 missing slats. Looked real El-Cheapo. How 'bout the Rust on the Refrigerator - the one purchased 20 years ago! Im certain it would be classified as Health Hazard if the health department came lookin'. The knives were so blunt I had to hack at the fruit to peel them. And the BED !!!! O my goodness. Did they make it out of Concrete or Brick ? The White phone ? Forget about it - show only - doesn't work. The Furniture was great....back in 1967 when it was first purchased. The chairs & couch are so old & tired, I could hear them gasp their last breath whenever we sat! Very sad. Id love to get the name of the photographer who did the web photos - Id like a self portrait to fool everyone I haven't seen in 20 years too. Outside of that, the View was incredible, but that was only because it hasn't had the life sucked outta it like this Condo. Next time I will try another Condo - or go back to Sea Lodge, or a Motel 6 if I have to !
A guest from Peoria, AZ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 I have already discussed my concerns with Sandy. High-speed Internet would be a nice feature to add.
Property Manager Response: Response from Ahh Aloha Kauai Vacation Rentals Pali Ke Kua 119 does have a high-speed internet connection, and it is free. Guest check-in instructions include the location of the modem.
A guest from Swan Lake, MB recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2011 Hello , My husband and I just returned from our 3 day stay at Pali Ke Kua and were quite satisfied with it all.The condo was well equipped and furnished and more than adequate for two people. We unfortunately did not get a chance to use the restaurant or the on-site swimming pool, as with a car the beaches, hiking trails etc are within a comfortable driving distance. And, it goes without saying the view was spectacular and so beautiful, we had our dinner most nights on the lanai. So, our thanks to you and the owners for a very pleasant stay and hope we can someday return!Mandy Desmond (& Gerard Desmond)Swan Lake, MB, Canada
Pedro G. from Odense, Fyn recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 Aloha ! We enjoyed our stay at the condo , fabulous location and all the amenities you could ever wish. Air condition only in the bedroom, but we never used it as the fans kept the condo nice and cool all day long. Can highly recommend it, and will love to return as soon as possible !
A guest from Edmond, OK recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2011 We were very satisfied with our stay. The only closely negative thing I can think of is that instead of A/C there was a water cooler in the bedroom. In the late afternoons, because of the heat and the condo facing west, we just found other places to be instead, which was not hard to do at all.
A guest from Chicago, IL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in May, 2011 Amazing views is definitely the highlight of this place. After that, this place leaves a lot to be desired. The overall condition of the unit is not great and really needs to be updatd
A guest from Alpharetta, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2011 The view from Pali Ke Kua is breath taking. We loved being on the ground floor and being able to walk out. The flowers and the grounds are immaculate. We cooked breakfast in and found that the frying pans were awful and so we bought a new fry pan and spatula which we left there. They could also use some better knives. But overall it was very well appointed and we throughly enjoyed it. We could not have survived without the A/C in the bedroom though.
A guest from Santa Fe, NM recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in March, 2011 For the first few days, there were many workmen making a great deal of noise. Then the owners arrived and they were worse. The first morning they were there , they were up at 5:00 AM clomping about and speaking very loudly. Though the hour of awakening improved gradually, the daytime and evening noise continued unabated. This detracted from our ability to relax and enjoy ourselves. I would only recommend this very nice unit in the absence of upstairs neighbors.
A guest from Issaquah, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2011 The view is absolutely fabulous and we completely enjoyed our stay. But the condo itself is showing a bit of wear and tear.
A guest from Montgomery, WV recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2011 The view of the ocean, whales, Hanalai Bay, Bali Hi were incredible. My wife says that this is the best view we have ever had in our travels. Everything was as advertised and exceeded our expectations.
Walter L. from Blaine, WA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2011 The condo above us (219) was under complete renovation with extreme noise. We had to leave our beautiful view and comfortable condo between 9-4 everyday because of this. Ahh Aloha claimed to be unaware of this - we found this to be untrue. The rules of the condo association specify the owner-rental agency be notified in ADVANCE if this is going to happen. This particular contractor (who has done numerous jobs at Pale Ke Kua) ALWAYS informs the home owners assn. 2 M0NTHS IN ADVANCE which in turn informs Ahh Aloha which has the responsibility of notifying occupants. We were never so informed. We did get a rebate which did nothing to relieve the noise we had to endure. This should not have happened - another condo should have been given to us in advance of our arrival. Our vacation was ruined because of this - Never again!!
Unit #119 -Not one of the better units we have stayed at before
A guest from Seattle, WA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 8 days in January, 2011 This is our fourth stay at Pali Ke Kua. The view of Bali Hai was better from other units we have stayed at. You did have the view from the dining area but not from the living room area which we had in other units. The kitchen was poorly equipped with just the basics but limited on what you prepared for meals because of lack of cookware and useful kitchen gadgets (e.g. no peeler, dull knifes that couldn't cut a tomato, juicer, grater, tall glasses, baking pan, loaf pan). No dishwasher detergent or dish rack. There were also small ants on kitchen counter every day. The bathroom didn't have any bath mat or rugs and tiniest soap,The lighting was poor at the front door so hard to see the keypad. We found a flashlight in the unit but no batteries. We went and bought batteries but the flashlight didn't work. The bed and living room furniture was comfy.
Property Manager Response: Response from Ahh Aloha Kauai Vacation Rentals Call us!!! If guest had talked to us about needing glasses, baking pans, dish rack, bath rugs, etc, we would have been happy to provide them. We would also have explained where to find the sharpener for the excellent set of Henckel knives in the condo. We can't help if we don't know there's a problem! We do advise guests to bring a small flashlight to help see the keypad, and also that we provide a "starter kit" of personal items intended to tide them over until they can shop for their own, as is customary in a vacation rental. For future guests reading this review, all the important things you could want in a vacation rental are to be found in Pali Ke Kua oceanfront views, clean accomodations, comfortable and upscale furnishings, and a high quality bed. Our website has actual photos of the view so that you can see how magnificent it really is.
Lee A. from Austin, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2010 The patio has a nice view and the neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. We had trouble with fruit flies the first night as the windows had obviously been left open to air the place out. If the fruit flies become a problem you will need to close a few windows on street side. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.
A guest from Oakland, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2010 We visit Kauai ofen, and have tried other properties in the Princeville area. However, we always return to Pale Ke Kua, for the views. Unit #119 has a perfect location overlooking all of Hanalei Beach. The beach and pool at this property are it's all about the view.
The location and general condition of the condo was excellent. We also found that the prices at the Foodland supermarket in Pri
Jeff L. from Lafayette, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in October, 2010 The Teac CD player in the condo did not work. We could not play music CDs. The Teac entertainment system also did not have an FM antenna so no FM radio reception either. The Teac system would not play audio for the TV as well. There were also several lights in the condo that were not working.
Ryan W. from Youngstown, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2010 We had a great stay at Pali Ke Kua. The view from our condo was great. One recommendation is to supply directions to the trail that leads to the beach, and maybe even the trail that is down the road a bit by St. Regis. We knew the beaches existed, but had to search for the trails a bit. Great time!
A guest from Holte, Denmark recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2010 Having just returned following a week's stay at this lovely condo on the North Shores, we can only give it our very best recommendation. It met with all of our expectations. The condo is well designed for two people. Light and spacious, well kept and with nice solid cane furnishing and all the utensils you may wish for at a holiday condo. Shower bath which was fine with us.The very best about the condo is, however, it's breathtaking views of the ocean with Bali Hari as a true tropic backdrop. 180 degree ocean/mountains!!! Turning towards west the condo enjoys to-die-for sunset views. The condo is located in a building with only 4 condos and hence we didn't experience any noise or discomforts from being on the ground floor (although admittedly you cannot avoid hearing footsteps from the condo above) In the contrary we enjoyed thoroughly being on the ground floor adding the lawn area in front of the terrace to our 'private area. The terrace is covered, so being sun-lovers being able to pull out the sun loungers on the grass in the morning hours was something we enjoyed very much. This particular condo has an extra window in the dining area allowing for extended sea views also when seated indoor while the bedroom window turns towards a tiny flower clad hill next to the parking lot meaning, that we had no one passing by or looking into that room. The condo is likewise in the very ocean front row few yards from the edge of the bluff only, hence the breathtaking view from kitchen/livingroom/dining area and terrace. The entire PALI KE KUA Compound is very nice and very well kept up. Gardeners were watched daily keeping up the manicured park-like garden. Ample parking space is found right outside your door - and the compound has a private paved (but very steep) path down to the rocky beach right in front offering a tropical setting and swimming-snorkel opportunities. Some 100-200 yards away (just to the right of the St. Regis Hotel) is a public pa
Jim O. from Laguna Naguel, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2010 The view was sensational and the condo met expectations. A couple of suggestions - The sliding door needs replacement (makes a lot of noise) and new towels and linens would be beneficial. Many of the towels are old and torn. Jill and her husband who cleaned the condo were very accommodating.
A guest from Lewisville, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2010 Stayed here for one week with my wife. Can't say enough good things about the location and property itself. Very clean and comfortable. The view is out of this world, best sunsets I've ever seen.
A guest from Walnut Grove, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2010 From the minute we walked in the door to #119 Pali Ke Kua we felt at home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the view something you thought you would only see in a travel magazine. You won't want to leave.
A guest from Oelsnitz, OEL recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in June, 2010 It is still a little difficult for us to describe this amazingly beautiful place with its breath-taking views on Bali Hai sunrises and sunsets!Whatever you want to do (swimming/ snorkeling, BBQ right next to the beach, hiking the Kalalau trail, shopping, sunbathing, e-mailing your loved-ones at home that you found paradise... - it's all there and not far to reach. Nene and her friends stopped by occasionally :)Mahalo!Stefanie and Christian
A guest from Rocklin, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in June, 2010 Overall, we loved the condo. It was in a perfect setting, 5 minutes away from a very private beach and the ocean, mountains and sunsets were amazing. With that said, there are a few things we didn't like. There should have been some type of disclaimer that the walls are thin and when people are above you, it sounds like you are getting bombed. For the first week and a half, there were three different families above us and it was miserable. I am sure they weren't trying to stomp, yell, move furniture loudly, etc., but it was irritating and l won't ever stay on the bottom floor again if there is someone above us. It was hard sleeping at night (no exaggeration). I know it is Hawaii and it's humid, but there were cockroaches everywhere. I stepped on one in the middle of the night going to the bathroom. Gross. We liked the geckos (besides all of the gecko poop on the walls, counter tops and couch!). There were blinds in need of replacing (so people could see in) and i don't think they had been washed in a year. The blinds were sticky, filthy and just gross. The knifes were dull and couldn't cut through anything. Lastly, the cabinets were ancient and the drawer pulls were sticky and the stickiness wouldn't go away. All in all it was a great stay, just definitely different than being at home!
Words Cannot Describe the Beauty of this Location.
Randy S. from Heath, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2010 Pali Ke Kua is an very upscale vacation area. Our condo at 119 offers one of the most beautiful views in the world. The decor of the condo is perfect for this cliff side area. I would highly recommend an ocean view at Pali Ke Kua. Everything from the web site, to the booking process, to the details provided, to your very first step into the unit, to your first view out over the Pacific Ocean is wonderful. I suggest you take a lot of pictures (still and video) and enjoy every moment of your time at Pali Ke Kua because a visit of any length is always too short.
Rolf W. from Rellingen, SH recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2010 Wonderful Stay. Great view. Neat resort. Oceanside pool was closed during our stay. Kitchen stuff a little bit poor.
Vince R. from Mesa, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in March, 2010 Not only was the view perfect everyday and night, but the property was amazing as well. Perfect for a gone all day vacation. When we would come back we wand to be able to relax and sit on nice comfy couches and chairs, and thats what we had. Perfect
A guest from Plymouth, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2010 beautiful condo inside and out. really appreciated all the little extras-use of snorkling things, extra blankets, tupperware and cooler for beach picnics. we loved it! loved the location-being able to run/walk on the path or walk to beaches and st. regis for dinner. fantastic vacation! thank you!
A guest from Petaluma, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2010 We really loved the location and the specific ambiance of our condo--very clean, beautiful views, no neighbor noise. Kitchen well-equipped.
A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2010 Overall, we liked the place very much. The view is incredible. The bed was very comfortable, which was big concern for me. We loved having Hideaways beach just below us and the St. Regis within walking distance.I will say that the kitchen lacked some of the tools I like to have - no proper cork screw (we bought one and donated it!), no baking dishes, no rubber scrapers. But the dishes were very nice! There were many light bulbs that were burned out or flickering because they were about to go out. And a nice addition would be a recycling bin or something to separate the trash. But, overall we really enjoyed our say. The internet was so great to have and have cable TV was also a very big plus.We miss Kauai already.Mahalo!!
