Great Thanksgiving Family Time
A guest from Darien, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2016 Our 6 family members spent Thanksgiving at Knotty Pine Delight and had a wonderful time. We drove from Asheville and being able to "check-in" via door code rather than drive to an office was so easy and saved time getting items refrigerated. The kitchen was stocked with all the dishes, utensils, pans, etc. that we needed - even for our traditional meal. The cabin was clean and maintained. The 4 Full bathrooms were used when all of us were trying to get ready. The description was accurate regarding the location, layout and amenities. We drove to Gatlinburg every day and enjoyed mini golf, sky ride, shops, Ober Gatlinburg, and Ziplining. We drove to Pigeon Forge to go to the Alpine Mountain Coaster after dark. We ate at Alamo, Bennet's BBQ, Blaine's Grill & Bar, and Big Daddy's Pizza. I would recommend Knotty Pine Delight as a quiet location to stay, but close to activities to enjoy. An awesome time was had by all.
A guest from Lewis Center, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2016 The whole family had a good time and the kids loved the video room, pool table, and hot tub. The view was gorgeous. We also were a good distance away from downtown Gatlinburg so could be tourists when we wanted too.
A guest from Novi, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2016 The driveway is a bit of a challenge to get in and out of if you have a large vehicle. Otherwise everything was great. Fabulous view.
A guest from Charlotte, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2016 Maybe need to fix the security system. The "stay" function doesn't work. Everything else is very good.

Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals We certainly agree, Knotty Pine Delight is the perfect cabin to relax and unwind in after a busy day of exploring. The views are absolutely breathtaking, the amenities are top-notch. We hope you will consider making Elk Springs Resort part of your vacation plans during your next visit to Gatlinburg.
A guest from Indianapolis, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2016 We wanted to get away for a few days during spring break in a place we could relax and just get away from it all while near some activities we greatly enjoy...hiking primarily. The cabin was great and everything we had hoped for. Great views, nicely done all around. We would definitely return here on our next visit!
George R. from Hendersonville, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2016 We had an awesome time at Knotty Pine Delight cabin. The place was spacious and clean. The theater room is amazing! This cabin has it all. It is about a 15 minute drive to town. It sits on the top of the hill at the end of the road. We had 3 king size beds, so more than enough room for the 5 of us. The master suite downstairs has a little kitchenette. You could really have 2 families here.
Kendall R. from Columbus, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2016 This cabin is absolutely gorgeous! The location is perfect. You cannot and will not find a better view! Most of the check in and out was automated but they did call to check on us. They were very polite and were willing to help us with any problems. The stay was very relaxing and everything we could have imagined!
A guest from Fairhope, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in December, 2015 We had a wonderful time. The cabin was so nice, spacious and exceptionally clean. One of our best family getaways ever
A guest from Chattanooga, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2015 Our overall experience was great. The cabin was very clean & the view was fantastic. The only thing that needs attending is the two back jets on the hot tub were not working. We would rent this cabin again.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thank you for your review, Giovanna. We appreciate you bringing the problem with the hot tub jets to our attention. There are dials on these where they can be opened or closed and these dials became stuck. Thankfully, it was an easy fix. Your feedback certainly helps us to continually improve our services.
A guest from Charlotte, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2015 Great experience. The cabin was very clean and stocked appropriately. It was a little difficult to find the street sign but otherwise a great place to stay. Two nights in a row we heard gunshots at 2:30 am. Not sure what that was about. It was great weekend to get some rest and relaxation. The day we left it started snowing.
Virginia S. from Apex, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2015 I LOVED the cabin and my friend did as well!Great relaxing jacuzzi and view of the beautiful autumn trees. With its position on the hilltop, it gave a great view of the surrounding area. The cabin was very clean and VERY well-stocked kitchen. I recommned the eight mile art walk with its friendly artist and great tea room.
A guest from Miami Beach, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2015 Beautiful view!
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thank you for your review, Lori. Glad you enjoyed your stay. We would love to know what we could do to make your stay a 5 star one. Your feedback helps us to improve our services. We hope you will return for a future stay with us.
Thomas D. from Annapolis, MD recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2015 We had a wonderful time. The house was very clean and had just about everything we could want. There are a few issues you will want to address: * Kitchen faucet needs to be replaced. It's the wrong size for the sink making it difficult to wash/rinse dishes.* The spa was undersized to the rental. Only 4 at a time could use the spa.* You have carpenter bees and possibly termites on the upper (and possibly the lower) deck.* Need to provide more wine glasses, there was only one in the unit.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thank you for bringing these items to our attention Thomas. We are very sorry about the minor inconveniences you experienced during your stay. We have not had a complaint about the sink before, but we will surely take a look to see if it is the appropriate faucet for the sink. All of our spas, which I assume you mean hot tub, are 4 person hot tubs only and if we installed anything larger, you would lose a great deal more deck space. Carpenter bees love the wood on the cabins and we have sprayed and built bee traps to eliminate their presence. As for the wine glasses, one quick phone call to our customer service department, and we could have brought more right over for you. We are pleased that you had a wonderful time and hope you consider returning again some day.
Mark R. from Independence, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2015 We chose this cabin for the view and was glad we did. Because of this much time was spent at the cabin. Although we did manage to squeeze in zip-lining, horseback riding, shopping Arts & Crafts and visiting the distilleries. Having a nice place to stay enhanced our vacation making it feel like our own private resort. Thank you for a vacation we will never forget!
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thank you for your kind feedback! We are very pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay along with many of the wonderful things this area has to offer. We love repeat guests, so be sure to take advantage of the 10% discount we offer on future stays!
Reviewed by: Nancy M. recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in May, 2015 This cabin was awesome with 2 separate bedrooms and a bedroom loft. It was clean and well stocked. The view took our breath away. It is 10 miles out from Gatlinburg with lots of local shops and restaurants. We had a great seniors girl trip and are planning to go back.
Tiffany W. from Hartford, CT recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2015 Our family had an awesome retreat. The location is great, grocery store very close, activities close as well & easy to find. Kitchen fully stocked we everything we needed to prepare a great meal(no need for ordering out) plenty of room for the children to play. the view was breathtaking. It was everything we could of imagined and more!
A guest from Carol Streams, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2015 We loved our cabin! Loved the location, loved the view of the mountain's. It looked clean when we went in but we did find food under the recliners and bugs behind the pull out couch when we made it to sleep in.Could not use hot tub because of a bad mildew smell (little afraid to chance it. I did speak to staff and they offered to send cleaning crew back but it was late so I told them I would take care of it. The staff was very friendly. I would stay again with Elk Springs! It was a beautiful cabin just small things.
Jennifer O. from Eads, TN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2015 We enjoyed the cabin very much. It was perfect for our family. There was nothing wrong with the house itself. The only thing that was a drawback was the neighboring house. Loud music was blasting- loud enough to hear in the house with all doors and windows closed. The house next door had about a dozen cars in the drive and is obviously a big party house. The music was played on outdoor speakers at high volume that kept us up at night and woke out kids up in the morning. Sitting outside to enjoy the view was unpleasant rather than relaxing. So while we loved the cabin itself, we will not return and could not recommend to friends. We feel badly, as it has nothing to do with this cabin other than it is next to a cabin that attracts large loud partying groups.
Yesenia L. from Panama City, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2015 Wonderful location, well-equipped, nice upgrades. Bed sheets did not smell very good, shower-head in the bathroom near the entrance needs to be cleaned so water can come out evenly, and there is a missing smoke detector right outside the door to go down stairs to the other room and living.
A guest from Stamford, CT recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2014 It is a amazing place, we had a small problem with the door which it doesn't open with correct pin. However, the service picked the phone at 8pm and staff came over in 15 minutes. They solved the problem on time and that was so helpful!!!
A guest from Cincinnati, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2014 This cabin is ideal for couples who want relaxing time. The cabin was extremely clean. The oven, however, did not have much heat and putting the oven at 500 degrees, it took a long time to warm food up. Otherwise, a great cabin.
Emily C. from Raceland, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2014 We had a nice relaxing time in comfy beds. There were 6 adults and although it wasn't made very clear to me that there weren't 3 actual bedrooms, we made r work. Just using the Loft Hottub was a bit strange. There is also a possible plumbing issue upstairs (dripping noises) and we had to wash dishes for breakfast the first morning. They weren't clean enough and had obvious food particles on them. Other than my M-I-L having a near panic attack going up the winding road the first time (she then got used to it) the location was great!
Susan S. from Hampton, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2014 Beautiful, cozy cabin! After driving for 11 hours with 3 little ones, it was nice to walk in a warm, clean cabin! The view was great and the inside of the cabin was exactly how we hoped it would be. Very convenient to downtown and a local grocery store was just about 10 minutes away. Everything in the cabin worked as it should. We did have to call about our trash cans outside being full (we did not know at the time that we were actually suppose to call every time they got full) and someone came and emptied them right away! Excellent service! We spent most of the time in our cabin and enjoyed every minute of it. Beautiful views from a cozy cabin. I would absolutely stay here again and definitely using this rental company in the future!
A guest from Cincinnati, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2014 We loved Knotty Pine Delight! We spent the weekend with our family at the cabin, and it was perfect for us. The cabin was clean, stacked with amenities, cozy, and the view was amazing!
Michael T. from Greensboro, NC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2014 Staying at this cabin was a huge headache, mainly due to the management company, Elk Springs Resort. We will not do business again with Elk Springs Resort and urge any potential renters to stay away from any properties managed by Elk Springs Resort. Our problems started off the first evening we arrived, the fire alarms downstairs went off for no reason and we couldn't get them to stop, since they were tied into the alarm we couldn't simply take the batteries out to get them to stop. We called Elk Springs Resort emergency maintenance but didn't hear back from anyone, then around 8am the next morning we were woken up by someone cursing loudly inside the cabin. It turns out it was the maintenance guy who finally showed up, unannounced, and then was upset with us because we weren't there to meet him.We only stayed a couple nights so to have half your stay interrupted by a maintenance issue, then to have someone be rude to you about that, doesn't leave a good impression. Also, two weeks after we stayed there we received an unannounced charge on our credit card for "pet fees" even though we didn't have pets. They could have called us to ask about this but instead they snuck another charge onto our credit card. So, beware giving your credit card to Elk Springs Resort as they will charge it for whatever they want, whenever they want, and won't even call you first to ask about it! This is a shady, sleezy company and you will be much better off if you stay away from them!
Lisa M. from Milwaukee, WI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2014 The property looks just like the pictures - seriously! As soon as we walked in the door, our 4 tween/teen-agers were screaming with delight. Everyone had their own oasis to live in and we could come together as a group when we needed/wanted. The seclusion was excellent, giving us the beautiful mountain views we were hoping for, yet it was only 10 minutes to the nearest grocery store and 15 minutes to downtown Gatlinburg. Perfect location for us! The hotel called to confirm we arrived and everything was to our satisfaction, but we were left alone (to our pleasure) the rest of the time. If I were to nit-pick (and this is some serious nit-picking), there was one large cobweb in the loft area that needs to be dusted. It would also be nice if the TV in the loft was upgraded to a flat screen. (Can you tell this was my room?!?) We had a wonderful, wonderful vacation and will visit Elk Springs again upon our return to Gatlinburg.
Stacy F. from Kings Park, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2014 This cabin was fantastic in every way, The cabin was spotless and beautiful and offered everything you could possible need. It was exactly like the description. The views of the mountains were breathtaking. It was located perfectly, we were never very far from anything we wanted to do and there is so much to do nearby. Whether you hang back at the cabin or are busy enjoying the attractions, this cabin is perfect! One of our best vacations. I would highly recommend it and will definitely be back.
A guest from Medina, Tennessee recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2014 The absolute only negative is the driveway entrance and exit. It's totally blind, exit at your own risk. Difficult to enter or exit unless you have a zero radius turn automobile. Otherwise perfect location, gorgeous views, beautiful cabin, clean, easy reservation process, great amenities, comfortable beds. Overall 5 star cabin! Would definitely will stay again... Worth the driveway risk :-)
Beautiful cabin but management lacks personal touch
A guest from Knoxville, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2014 We rented Knotty Pine Delight for our daughter's wedding which was taking place next door at a lodge. The convenience was wonderful since we could walk between the two rentals. The cabin was very private, well constructed and superbly outfitted by the owners. Housekeeping had done a good job. Only thing missing was coffee filters. Entry into the cabin is through a bedroom, which is a bit odd but we didn't mind. Gorgeous wall of windows looking out to the mountains but at night, whoever sleeps in the upstairs loft has no privacy because everyone downstairs can see you upstairs in the reflection. For keeping an eye on kids, this might be a good thing though ; ) Cell service (we use Verizon and other members of our family use Virgin Mobile) was very spotty. We haven't rented a cabin from a rental company in years but this experience was lukewarm. There's no contact with a human being on the phone (whenever I would call the office the auto-attendant said they were unavailable) and the flood of emails you receive kind of look all the same after awhile. We misunderstood the express check in instructions and thought they would text us the door and alarm codes right before check in time. Our bad...Laura from Elk Springs called our phone at 10:18 in the morning but the location we were in had terrible cell service so the call went to voicemail which we didn't notice. Then after we called for help at 3:30, their calls (again) went to voicemail. Thankfully they sent an email after that and we received the codes. I put no blame on Elk Springs for the communications problems BUT if they had provided access information at least 24 hours in advance (and confirmed receipt) this would not have happened. I give the cabin an "A" for overall experience and management a "C" for lack of personal contact and difficulty in reaching them (both at the time of making a reservation and when we had access questions).
Lisa H. from Cherry Hill, NJ recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2014 Cabin is beautiful, well maintained and nicely furnished. Bedrooms a bit awkward, since the front door of the cabin opens into one of them (the master) and the loft bedroom offers very little privacy...especially with the tub out in the room and by the stair railing and can be seen from the living room. Pick up laundry detergent, since there is only a one use supply. When using the dryer,it sounds like there is a cat screaming in the drum for the first ten minutes or so, then it sounds fine. Also, there is a cardinal that parks itself on a chair on the deck at sunrise every morning and flies into the big window repeatedly until it knocks itself silly. Having said all of that, we still really enjoyed the cabin, especially the view off the deck the hot tub, and the downstairs rooms with the separate kitchenette. Owners have done a nice job of making it cozy and welcoming. Location is secluded but within 10 minutes of anything you could possibly want to do. Property management company made things a bit confusing with multiple identical emails, a payment that was charged, then canceled, then recharged, and slightly confusing billing statements that we had to call about for clarification. However, they were extremely polite and friendly.
A guest from Preston, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2014 The cabin was clean and very nice. This was probably one of the nicest cabins that we had stayed in. We did hate that we could not enjoy the hot tub. As soon as the jets were started stuff started floating everywhere. We called to have it cleaned, but they refused, unless we paid extra. I felt that we should not have to pay for that since we did not use it. We had just arrived.
A guest from Carl Junction, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2014 We loved everything about this cabin. It was a perfect fit for our family and we will definitely stay here for our next trip to Gatlinburg!
A guest from Jefferson City, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in May, 2014 The Cabin and Gatlinburg exceeded our expectations. When we arrived we were amazed at the coziness, view, and quality. Our family enjoyed just "hanging out" at the cabin and we felt right at home.
Shannon T. from South Haven, MS recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in May, 2014 It could have been cleaner, the upper deck was nasty from the bar b que soot on the deck! There was also nails sticking up on the deck too. The water pressure wasn't that great cause when someone is in the shower and someone flushes the toilet the water stops in the shower. We also had prob with the alarm not working right. We really enjoyed staying there but there would have to be a few things changed for us to stay there again. The best part if the cabin was the room downstairs which we called the man cave!!
A guest from Valdosta, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in May, 2014 everything was clean and good quality. hot tub was good. the only small problem was we had a couple wasps on the inside of the windows that we had to spray and there were a lot of bumble bees flying around outside. might be a good idea to check the property for wasp/bee nests.
Joe M. from Lake City, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2014 Clean, fun. The company called to make sure everything was well. Everything we needed for a relaxed stay with adult family.
A guest from Harker Heights, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2014 This was our first time visiting Gatlinburg. Getting to our cabin was a breeze with the directions provided as our GPS failed us after driving for 2 days. We arrived later at night to find a very clean and cozy cabin. The next morning we realized what a great location and view we had! The cabin was well appointed, clean and everything worked fine. We had a minor issue mid-way thru our stay but was expeditiously addressed by management. The town of Gatlinburg is awesome and had a lot to do along with the next town of Pigeon Forge. We were sad to leave and definitely will seek to stay at this cabin again!
Eli G. from Herrin, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2014 Rental property next door had what appeared to be drunken college kids who had there radio at max volume tell 3am so we where forced to sleep in the basement room
Stephen D. from Smyrna, Tennessee recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2014 I'm writing the review on behalf of 4 couples. My girlfriend and I made plans with several couples to stay in a Gatlinburg cabin for a weekend. Not only was the cabin awesome, but they entire experience was perfect for everyone. We stayed for 2 nights in the Knotty Pine Delight. The cabin is said to sleep 8 comfortably, and it really did. Everything was really clean and organized, as well as handy. After the stay ended, we all wished we would've not only had a longer stay, but have enjoyed the cabin more. We had fun watching movies in the living room with the fireplace on. Played countless games of pool, and had tons of laughs. The beds were comfy, plenty of towels, clean dishes and utensils. Great stay, and am definetly going to come back.
Nikki L. from Anderson, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in January, 2014 We loved staying at this house and it was perfect for the 3 couples that went. Beautiful house and gorgeous view of the mountains! We will be back!
A guest from Prosper, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2013 We had the most wonderful family vacation at this luxury cabin. The management company was professional and efficient, the cabin was beautiful and clean, and the town of Gatlinburg was perfect for relaxation. I will recommend this resort for my friends and we will be staying again!
Carl S. from Stayner, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in August, 2013 We started out in a different cabin called The Knotty Pine. That cabin was great in itself, but it was not secluded and in fact was quite close to a huge cabin that was having a very loud party. It went on until at least 3am and since the main bedroom was on the same side it made for a very long and sleepless night. So, the next morning we called Elk Springs and within 2 hours we were in a new cabin, Firefly. It was beautiful and my kids LOVED the theatre room. So even though we lost the view, we gained a cabin that really was better suited for us anyway. The cabin was very clean, but we did find several caterpillars crawling everywhere in the cabin. There was ants in the bathroom, but again...this is a cabin so we realize there will be some bugs. The caterpillars were kinda gross though. :) We had a great stay, and were so thankful that Elk springs went out of their way to accommodate us and made our holiday wonderful! When (not if) we come back we will book with Elk springs without a second thought! Thanks so much for such a great week.
A guest from Arlington, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 The cabin was very clean and the view was like that of a movie. Very spacious with everything in working condition. We even had a peacock that took time out of his schedule to visit us daily.
Jim L. from Harrisburg, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in May, 2013 Knotty Pine Cabin was absolutely fabulous. Everything was neat and clean and the location was spectacular. We would definitely stay here or another Elk Springs Resort Cabin in the future. The road is quite twisted but we were still able to drive our trailer that was hauling our motorcycles up the mountain. Our intent was to ride "The Dragon" but our truck also got to ride its own dragon up to Knotty Pine. Overall wonderful experience.
Megan D. from Suquay Varina, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in May, 2013 We spent a fantastic week in the Knotty Pine Delight cabin. Everything was very clean, there were plenty of linens and kitchen supplies. We mainly used it as a base between hikes, but it had several TVs, satellite, Blu-ray players, pool table, etc. One of the bedrooms is a loft which opens up over the main living area, so beware if you need 3 rooms with privacy. For us it worked.
Dan B. from Myrtle Beach, SC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2012 Caught multiple works on the rentals front porch. Had to keep alarm on the entire trip durring the day. Construction was loud and woke us up every day. They even worked on the weekend. Management said they had no knowledge and did not compensate us.
Trina Y. from La Vergne, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2012 I have and always will use Elk Springs Resort when staying in Gatlinburg except when I come to live there for good! The cabin I picked was wonderful. The pictures were not misleading. I was a little worried about the space around the pool table but there was plenty of room to have a great time. Having an alarm on the cabin also made me feel secure. The hot tub is a square one and not a round one like in the pictures which made it better. The drive to it was a challenge but you should expect that if you want a view of the mountains. And it was well worth it too. There was plenty of parking in the driveway too. The kitchen had everything you needed. Whoever owns Knotty Pine Delight, wanted to make sure you felt like you were at home. You can try all these different cabin places in GB, but if you have ever stayed with Elk Springs, don't take the risk of going somewhere else. You save up for a vacation, staying with them you know you will get everything you want. See ya next year Elk Springs!!!
A guest from Pittsburgh, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2012 Really good time. I am sure there are cabins with better views. Should have spent more time indoors than outdoors. Would have been nice if they provided shampoo and conditioners also.
Teresa S. from Austin, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2012 The cabin was spotless and have the most amazing view! We had a wonderful stay. The decor and furnishings were beautiful. The only negative comment was the knobs on the clothes dryer need to be replaced. It was a challenge at first to get it started. That was a minor thing, though. We absolutely loved it and will be going back again!
Aimee C. from Cedar Springs, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2012 We stayed here for a family vacation, and I really couldn't say enough good things about this cabin. It is stunningly beautiful and immaculately clean. We went with three couples and everyone had their own space, and the view is just amazing. If I win the lottery, we will be back to make the owners an offer! This is by far the cleanest and nicest place we have ever stayed. It looks brand new! I would recommend Knotty Pine Delight to anyone and everyone. Fabulous! As a side note, the staff was wonderful with getting us detailed directions and using the door code to check in was a breeze. Thank you for a great experience Elk Springs Resort!
A guest from Loveland, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2012 I brought my family of five (ages 4-10) and we all had a fantastic time. The cabin was immaculate and absolutely breathtaking! We had never been to Gatlinburg before and found this site online. It was so easy to book and the staff was very helpful and professional. They even checked in with us to make sure we found everything to our liking. We will definitely return and use Elk Springs to book our next trip!!!!! Thanks so much for a wonderful trip!!!!
A guest from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2012 Great home, great somewhat secluded location, great views, great beds, great layout, great rental company. What more do you need to know? This cabin is perfect for three couples traveling together as all three bedrooms are on separate floors. As it was, my wife and I were traveling with our young teens so we relinquished the loft bedroom with the mountain views to them as we weren't comfortable having them sleep on the main level, or downstairs. If you're kids are a bit older this wouldn't be a problem. The view from the upstairs bedroom, the main living area and the wrap-around deck is beautiful. The hot-tub worked great and was put to good use every morning. The entertainment centers on the main floor and downstairs made the little televsion/movie watching we did very enjoyable.I would highly recommend this cabin and Elk Springs Resort!
Melanie H. from Little Rock, Arkansas recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2012 This cabin was more than we could have imagined. It was extremely clean, quiet, and the view was incredible. I am very picky regarding rentals, but this was beyond what I could have imagined. Would highly recommend to anyone.
Mitch V. from Charlestown, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2012 We loved this property!! The only thing I was worried about was it being 10 miles outside of gatlinburg. It really wasn't bad at all, in fact, I would stay in the very same property again knowing exactly where it is. The house was huge, clean and had plenty to do to keep everyone happy for a nice night in. Our grill ran out of gas in the middle of grilling but the owners brought a new tank in 20 minutes so we didn't even lose the food we had started. The mountain view was gorgeous! It's saved as the background on my computer home screen. This is a 5-star house and I WILL stay here again.
Gorgeous view, nice furniture, however a few missing pieces
Carlos C. from Nashville, TN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2012 Pros: *Great price for what is essentially a 3 bedroom cabin. The loft is great in winter, almost certainly a nightmare in summer. Since we went in February, it worked out well for two couples and two kids. *Absolutely wonderful view*Spacious and nice furniture Cons*parts of cabin are unclean*bathrooms are blah and thne showerheads spray everywhere (in a bad way)*kitchen and bathroom look older and not as well furnished as rest of home*staff seemed unprofessional and not used to dealing with customers (they sounded young and uncertain and you never see them so when you call and it sounds like some guy's 19 year old son is managing the property it seems less professional than other cabins we've stayed at. *While I like seclusion, they do not tell you that you need a 4X4 to get up about a mile of steep mountain if there is any rain or ice until you literally drive up to the hill and see an unlit sign. Bad form.*Finally a maintanence man just strolled up onto the BACK PORCH unannounced and uncalled for in the mid-afternoon. My wife and I had just gotten out of the hottub and I almost took a bat to the guys head since he could have been anyone.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals We appreciate the feedback, Carlos.
Amy G. from Synthiana, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2011 This cabin is so great! I got married in it, it is that beautiful! The only thing I did not like about the cabin is that you have to check out by 10 a.m.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Amy, glad you enjoyed your stay and sorry you had to check out at 10am. It just takes us time to get the cabin ready for the next check in at 3pm so we need a 5 hour window to prepare for the next guest with the housekeeping and maintenance. You do get 10% off all future stays as a repeat visitor!
Kristi H. from Carlisle, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2011 We had Great Time at KnottyPine Delight. Not one single complaint! Beautiful breathtaking views right from the pillow of our loft bedroom. Great surround sound media room. We loved it and are definately returning to this cabin!
Kerry L. from Fairhope, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in November, 2011 Wonderful cabin with an amazing view. Cabin was one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the mountains.
A guest from Cape Coral, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2011 from start to finish this property was incredible from booking to getting the smallest detail. the cabin is a gem in the smokies, what a view to wake up to every morning
A guest from Clifton, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2011 We stayed at the Knotty Pine Delight and overall we enjoyed our stay. We chose this cabin because we wanted a nice view, so we knew that it was away from the Elk Springs Resort. The location was private and the view is just as nice as the photos. The cabin itself was cozy and well stocked. We liked how each bedroom was on a different level, the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms/tubs clean. We would recommend Elk Springs Resort to others. From the time we made the reservation, the staff has been professional, informative, and quick to respond. This cabin works well for 4-6 people and as the name states, it was a delight. It would of been nicer to stay longer. maybe next time.
Paula K. from Jarrettsville, MD recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2011 The cabin was beautiful and the views spectacular! Took a few days to get used to the ride up and down the winding mountain road. The family enjoyed the pool table. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. I would definitely recommend the cabin!
Mark M. from Hickory Hills, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in July, 2011 The cabin was incredible. Our children ages 15 and 12 just loved the place. The view was so beautiful and it was a joy to wake up every morning to see it.
Michael G. from Slidell, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2011 We had a wonderful stay, and the cabin was luxurious. Beautiful view, hot tub and playing pool were the high points. There was no hot water in the upstairs shower, but we had enough options that we didn't call to have it fixed. Cabin is a bit out of the way, maybe 15 min to Gatlinburg, which felt like a big plus at first, but a small minus when we were hungry. :-) I would have no problem staying here again on my next visit.
A guest from Knoxville, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2011 The view and cabin itself were great, though we didn't realize it was as far away from Gatlinburg as it was. We were satisfied with all, but didn't like having to go back out once at the cabin b/c of the drive
A guest from West Chester, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2011 Loved the cabin. Location was great. Place was very clean and very well stocked. Lots of towels and supplies. Customer service was great.Hot tub works, but could use some repair. Hike to Ramsey Cascades was awesome. If you have the time (4+ hours) it is worth it!
A guest from Naperville, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2011 Just beautiful, so much attention to every detail! The pictures didn't even do it justice! We have a nice home, so I thought, but my son claimed it was nicer than our own home, "can we live here?" Thank you so much for sharing your home with us, and helping create some wonderful family memories!
David G. from Columbus, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2011 Everything was spotless, the quality of the cabin and its appointments was top-notch, the views breathtaking. The only hiccup was the hot tub, which did not ever get very hot. Beyond that, perfect in every way.
Cynthia S. from Miami, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2011 Staying at Knotty Pine was a pleasure, the house was beautiful, immaculate, well stocked (with the exception of a hair dryer- not noted in the description, if it was I would have brought my own). We will definitely return and have recommended it to our friends already.
Izabella A. from Franklin, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2011 I stayed with a group of friends from Sunday to Thursday. It was a blast! Our only problem was that the grill didn't turn on, and we made a call to maintenance. They said they'd be there shortly, but never showed up. Unfortunately, we wasted a lot of hamburger meat.. However, all in all the cabin was wonderful. We truly enjoyed our stay, just watch out for the ladybugs!
Great cabin, great view, nice and secluded yet 15 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg
Jimmie W. from Ball, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2011 Advise that cabin would be difficult to access if there were snow/freezing rain etc as road is steep and curvy. Would and plan on going back again in the future.
A guest from Fort Jennings, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2010 The cabin was just what we hoped it would be - very clean, good location, well equipped kitchen and plenty of room both inside and out. Would definately consider returning for another stay!
A guest from Franklin, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2010 Very clean. Plenty of kitchen dishes, utensils, etc. Nicely decorated. The only jacuzzi tub is in the open upstairs loft over the living room which can be inconvenient. Great view from the living room and deck. This property is about as secluded as possible up there. Houses around but no immediate neighbor next door, which is nice. Access via steep winding, but paved road. Could be tough in icy conditions. Approximately 8 miles farther northeast from Gatlinburg than the normal Elk Springs Resort properties, but that was offset by the secluded feeling. Cell phone check-in was a breeze. This was our first experience with a Gatlinburg cabin and we were very pleased. We had no problems whatsoever and would happily stay in this cabin again.
A guest from Cincinnati, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2010 Knotty Pine Delight was tucked back on a mountain top. Very romantic. We will definitely be back to enjoy the hospitality, scenery, luxuries and cleanliness of this hideaway.
Kathleen C. from Lemont, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2010 I was very happy with our entire experience with the cabin. From the time I booked it to the time we were staying there, there was not a complaint. We did have a problem with one of the toliets and were pleasantly surprised by the quick response we received. It was fixed before we were back from our outing. Also, everyone we spoke with was extremely friendly. Thanks for a great experience.
Tim C. from Winter Park, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2010 I got very sick, nausa, tingling all over my body, dizzyness, ect. Had to have an abulance take me to the hospital. Maybe we can get a one night free stay. Just one night. We paid a lot of money for this stay, something I've never dones like this before. I'd like to bring my wife back up, because I was with the kids.
