Beautiful, family-friendly Cinnamon Beach with its coquina-shell sands is just a 5-minute walk away, so whenever you aren't teeing up, pop down to the wide, lovely beach and ride the surf, collect shells and sharks' teeth at low tide, build sandcastles, fly kites, or simply lie with your toes in the cool, refreshing water and let the sun and sea work their magic!
When it's time to go home, cool down immediately among the lush greenery of Eagle Castle's big backyard. Rinse off in our outdoor shower, then turn the kids loose to use up the last of their energy running around outside while you toss steaks and seafood onto the grill. Our large open-plan living area is filled with comfy leather chairs and footstools, an ultra-luxurious couch long enough for a good mid-afternoon nap, and a huge HDTV with DVD player and VCR. The dining area is just beyond, with a handsome wood table easily seating 8. The floors are heart-of-pine, the rugs soft on bare feet, and the lighting relaxing. You're home!
The first-floor living area isn't the only place to relax indoors at Eagle Castle. There is a bonus room on the second floor with a large TV. So if the kids want to watch a favorite program or there's a big game on that conflicts with the rest of the group's epic Monopoly battle at the dining room table, everyone can do just what they want and no one has to lower their voices!
The kitchen is a gourmand's dream, with stainless-steel appliances, granite countertops, and a travertine backsplash. Want to turn the catch of the day into an elegant meal? You'll find everything you need here, down to the filet knives and skillets. Even if you're planning to eat out (and you should; there are great restaurants just minutes away!), you'll love the microwave, coffee maker, water and ice in the door of the refrigerator, and other time-savers.
The official master suite is also located on the first floor, but if you're traveling with another family, don't bother to flip that coin -- there's another king-size bed upstairs! The first-floor master bedroom contains a king bed, a cable TV, and a walk-in closet, plus his-and-her sinks and a walk-in shower in the master bath The second-floor master is equally roomy and pleasant, and there is a big third bedroom containing 2 twin beds, each of which conceals a trundle.

Stayed for 28 days in January, 2013 We were vaguely familiar with the location of this home prior to renting having vacationed in Palm Coast twice before on the other side of the intracoastal. The home exceeded our expectations in quality, cleanliness, provisions, furnishings and location. One block from Publix and an assortment of restaurants ( the bar-b-q at Bings Landing was quite tasty). We were .5 miles from toes in the sand along a professionally maintained and lighted street with walking and bike paths and bath house and parking at the beach. We would highly recommend this property for someone whose needs are not water front. We'll be back! Wanted a beach front location though but because we started looking so late our options were limited.I stepped on a piece of broken glass on the kitchen floor immediately we arrived on Saturday, 7/21/12. It took more than 15 minutes of applying direct pressure to the place I received the cut to stop the bleeding. My friend's 13 year old daughter stepped on another piece the next day after I spent time sweeping the floor. Fortunately, the piece she stepped on did not cause as much pain as mine did. The next morning, we found the center glass plate in the microwave missing when we tried to use it. The plate was not provided during our stay even though the manager, Daniel, promised that it would be provided.There were only five sets of towels and wash cloth for a nine people in the house. We called and reported this the day we arrived and did not receive the extra five sets until late the following day. We were told that a delivery attempt was erronously made to another property in St. Augustine. The outside grill was very dirty and was out of propane gas. Daniel took care of that when he delivered the towels.His friendly and pleasant attitude went a long way to make our experience bearable. He did a very good job. The walk to the beach was actually about 15 minutes so we drove down. The beach was beautiful but there were many large rocks in some parts so we had to be careful. A honeymoon we never had 42 years ago!! Kathleen D. from Sprakers, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 60 days in December, 2011 Eagle's Nest was a wonderful experience...nearly all amenities had been addressed...the kitchen was well equipped, the appliances were top-notch and it was a dream to work in, the beds extremely comfortable, the walk-in shower was awesome, etc. There were no cleaning supplies provided, though, with the exception of a vacuum. Unfortunately, the house was not in a very clean condition when we arrived - the bathroom floors were very dirty and showed obvious signs of being used, the counters had dried substances on them, some of the dishes in the cabinet were still dirty (probably the fault of the previous renters), the windows were filthy, there was dog kibble still strewn all over the porch, etc. It took quite a while to have most of our concerns addressed after we reported them...the refrigerator filter was never replaced even after 6 weeks of notice. But, overall, we were extremely pleased with the property itself. It is obvious that the owners are very thoughtful and considerate people - almost any need had been provided for, including beach towels, chairs and umbrellas, games and puzzles, reading material, etc. Location was great - only 1/2 mile from the beach and we felt very private, even though neighbors were right next door. The new Publix was way too close...we spent a fortune there!! Overall, it was a dream come true!!!
