Grand Champions #163 A guest from Anchorage, AK does not recommend this property. Stayed for 13 days in February, 2013 We had a wonderful vacation staying in Wailea, however I don't think we will go back to this condo unit. When we arrived, there were no basic condiments like salt/pepper/sugar. We had to purchase everything! Of course you can't find small portions of a lot of items so we ended up throwing out a bunch of stuff! A waste of money. Other places we have stayed at at least provided the basics. The fan in the main bathroom didn't work and several light bulbs were out. My husband found some bulbs in a closet and replaced what he could. There were several screens that were torn so we had to have them repaired to keep the bugs out. Speaking of bugs, we found a cockroach almost every day. I contacted the management company and they (Alex) were great! They got right on getting things fixed, and repairing the screens - they even sprayed for bugs. Overall it was okay - but not great. |

The Maui rental staff were extremely helpful, arriving within minutes of our call regarding our inability to access the internet and quickly fixing the problem. All onsite staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. As a former B&B owner,I suggest the following to improve the visitor experience: a welcome package containing highlights of "local knowledge", do not miss places to dine and visit. A welcome floral arrangement, or bottle of wine would be most appreciated. |

Stayed for 20 days in December, 2012 The second bathroom for sure was not cleanthere was pubic hair on the floorWhen we stay for 3 wks we also would expect enough toilet paper and dishwashing soap and dish washer soap to last the stay 3 rolls of toliet paper is just not enough and we paid top dollar for the suite so I feel these should be includedThe suite also had cochroaches which also made it feel not clean. I notified the management group. Our additional cleaning that I had booked was not done by the cleaners.It is a nice complex we like how it meets our needs |

The rest of the unit was fine and the location to pool the pool was super. I also liked that is was a ground level unit. The staff was great from the very beginning to the end. The location was convenient for some of the best beaches of south Maui. The complex was quiet and well kept. Parking was not a problem. Owner had beach chairs and boogie boards for use. COSTCO and Walmart about 20 minutes away so one can cook affordable meals in the updated kitchen then sit on the lanai overlooking the golf course. |

This unit was nice, it had been redone and I have no problems with that but there was a roach problem that was really bad. The property manager did come and spray during our stay but there were still roaches every morning on the floor. I was there with two daughters and it was awful for us to deal with. Never had anything like that before in a rental unit. Not good. |

Stayed for 8 days in January, 2012 We recently spent a week at Grand Champions in Wailea with our daughter and son-in-law. We found the lay-out of Grand Champions ideal for our needs with a lovely living area overlooking the golf course. The kitchen was well-equipped & we ate our breakfast each morning sitting on the balcony which was also overlooking the golf course. The Grand Champions is well-positioned near the beach at Wailea and all the main hotels & shopping centre where we ate lunch and dinner. I would definitely recommend Grand Champions to anyone considering staying in the Wailea area. |
