A lovely home with a view that can't be beat. A guest from Salt Lake City, UT recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 July 12-19, 2014. Nicely appointed home with a modern feel. The master bedroom offers the best seat in the house. Our suggestion is to trim the bushes on the lower level to enhance the view from the living room. A great location within walking distance of all stores and restaurants.
Winter stay in Yachats A guest from Yamhill, OR recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in January, 2014 We love Yachats and this is a great place to stay, relax, & watch storms. We love how it is in walking distance to stores, restaurants, and the 804 trail.
Stormwatcher's Retreat is Awesome John G. from Lyle, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in December, 2013 This is a beautiful house in a great location with tons of amenities to keep adults and kids happy. If I had to come up with a constructive suggestion it would be to state the house sleeps 4 or 5, not 8. We had 5 and the girls doubled up in the guest room.

Stayed for 3 days in November, 2013 Nice place, good location, clean, great beds, kitchen was great. Everything about the house was better than expected for the Oregon coast.
Yachats and Ocean Odyssey Richard J. from Bothell, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 6 days in September, 2013 We always enjoy our time in Yachats. We have rented through Ocean Odyssey for the past few years. We always enjoy going into the office and chatting with Peter, Wendy and Jason. They are always helpful to us by providing information of places to visit, places to eat, and providing wonderful houses to stay in. We feel like we are the best of friends with the entire Ocean Odyssey stay. We are looking forward towards our next visit. Richard and Anna Jeglinski
Disappointed in Yachats Janene K. from Green Acres, WA recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in September, 2013 House was Beautiful!! Quiet, comfortable and great location. However, we were not able to enjoy the outdoor areas.Downstairs slider wouldn't open enough to access patio area. Upstairs balcony had nasty, horribly rusted furniture and other cheap furniture covered with spiderwebs. Not impressive and VERY disappointing given the gorgeous ocean view. And residing in the kitchen pantry with kitchen items was a very gross and disgusting foam pad. Yuck! Also bedroom shade in 2nd bedroom was broken on the only window that opened--not allowing ocean breeze in. Such a beautiful home to have so many things not taken care of. I've rented quite a few homes from VRBO and this was very disappointing for us. I would not hesitate to stay here again if above items were taken care of. Also, having a garage door opener would have been helpful. Again, we DID mostly love the home. Thanks! PS. "By the Yard Inc" has beautiful patio furniture that would hold up well in an ocean climate. Pricey but indestructible!
...and dog friendly too! John K. from Ashland, OR recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in September, 2013 Great experience. Fantastic views. Well appointed kitchen. Friendly neighbors. Excellent utility room for laundry. Worth the price.

Stayed for 4 days in August, 2013 We love this home & will continue to rent it in the near future. I was mailed the wrong knife, Peter (or Jason)It is a bread knife you retirned to me, not mine, which has a much wider (not the length)blade. Will return the wrong one next week & call you about mine. Thanx for your great service. Don't forget to make the tv downstairs more secure for small kids. Aurora
Fun Trip A guest from Spartanburg, SC recommends this property.
Stayed for 4 days in August, 2013 We enjoyed staying in The Stormwatcher's Retreat. Bed was good, view was very good, bathroom was GREAT (considering there was no jet-tub, but the steam bath was nice). We used the kitchen and laundry facilities and found both to be well-equipped. We never turned on any HVAC...just opened the windows and everything cooled right off. We also slept with the upstairs sliding door cracked and found the sound of the ocean crashing was sweet sleeping music. The sun and the moon both set right outside the master br picture window. Everything was within walking distance. This was one of my favorite houses I've ever stayed in...and I've stayed in quite a few beach houses.
Beautiful home, great location Sherry G. from Missouri City, TX recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in August, 2013 This is an absolutely gorgeous home with the most amazing view of the ocean waves crashing onto the volcanic rocks - but white sand beaches just a short stroll away. The whales love to play right in front of the house. The steam shower is lovely for relaxing and warming up. The kitchen just begs to be cooked in - but bring your own knives if you are a serious cook. Otherwise, you will love this home.
Loved this place, the location, and the town GALLERIES WEST c. from park city, UT recommends this property.
Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 We very much enjoyed our trip to this home. The house was lovely and we would only make a couple of suggestions to the owners/maintenance. The wooden curtain rings do not slide, really at all, and so opening and shutting the curtains in the Master Bedroom and the living room was frustrating. It would be a very simply and affordable fix to replace the curtain rings with slippery ones. The sliding screens were also difficult to open at times. By the fifth day we were completely unable to open the screen that entered onto the downstairs deck. I had used the vacuum to clean the runners on the first day upon noticing the problem but surprisingly that did not help. The high quality of the bedding was much appreciated and the BBQ, appliances, and kitchen items were very generous. Oh, maintenance note, there is an exposed strip of wood to the left of the door where you exit the laundry and enter the garage. A couple small carpentry nails are exposed protruding. My jacket caught a nail and ripped a hole in the sleeve. If someone rubbed it with bare skin, it would be very painful. Overall however, we really loved your place and Yachats as a whole. Thank you very much for providing such a nice rental option.
House with a Usable Garage Mary E. from Albany, OR recommends this property.
Stayed for 2 days in July, 2013 We had a wonderful time. Another couple who were on vacation came with us. We gave them the large upstairs bedroom which has a window, (floor to ceiling and very awesome) view of the ocean and a sauna. They were very impressed. The beds were great. The kitchen has gas cooking and fully equipped. We hope to return.
