Great Property except for the Bed Reviewed by: Sarah H. does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2013 Everything lived up to the photos and expectations except for the bed. The mattress was very uncomfortable, lumpy and it squeaked every time you moved. If the mattress was comfortable than I would have definitely recommended this property, but after a long day of skiing you need your sleep. Perfect condo near the slopes Erin R. from Baton Rouge, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2013 My husband and I had a great stay in Columbine 106. The unit is nicely updated and there is a parking spot in a garage - no scraping and defrosting for us! The Charter Sports rental shop recommended by Summit Rentals worked out well. It's basically across the street from the Columbine and they assign you a spot to store your gear/shoes during the night and day, respectively. I just booked online through Charter, because the rates were the same as the ones provided by Summit Rentals. If you know where to head when coming back at the end of the day you can ski right up to the rental shop door instead of making the short walk across Maggie Pond. You'll still need to walk up to the lift to get going in the morning, but it's not far. The only thing I wish I knew ahead is that if you're buying lift tickets online you have to do it at least a week in advance (they are cheaper online!). |

We were fine staying at the Columbine property, but it is not a property we would have chosen. It had a "bachelor-pad" feel to it which is not our preference. Locations was great to the lifts, but a little walk to main street area. I know it is hard to find a good sleeper sofa, but the mattress could be replaced. The bath was really large and spacious and the kitchen was well stocked and all the other furniture was great. The entry was very nice for storage.
