It is aptly named Mountain Moments because every moment you behold the magnificent views, whether you are outside on the deck or inside looking out through the two-story wall of windows, the beauty of western North Carolina will take your breath away! Guests have called the splendor therapeutic. This is a home you will not want to leave. When you do, it is a home you will want to return to again and again, no matter the season.

Whether it is to get away for a long weekend or relaxing vacation, just step inside Mountain Moments and you will feel your stress melt away. The wall of windows, stone fireplace, and hardwood walls and floors of the great room give an instant feeling of warmth and comfort. Just imagine enjoying a gorgeous sunset while relaxing in front of a blazing fire.

With three spacious bedrooms, a loft sleeping area, and two (2) full baths, there is ample room for seven (7) guests. The fully equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, refrigerator, range, microwave, coffee maker, and a variety of small appliances. In the hall is a stacked washer / dryer. For entertainment, the home offers a TV, VCR/DVD and selection of movies, a stereo with an iPod connection, and Internet service!

Dine al fresco on the open deck (gas grill) with a chiminea outdoor fireplace to keep you warm. This is also a perfect spot for your morning coffee or tea.

Mountain Moments is located in Sugar Hill, North Carolina 15 minutes south of Marion, 20 minutes from Old Fort and 20 minutes to the Lake Lure / Chimney Rock area. This log home is convenient to Lake James, Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, and Black Mountain. It is 45 minutes from Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Check-out time is 10:30 a.m. or earlier at Carolina Properties Lake Lure office.

In addition to the rent the following charges apply:

$85.00 Cleaning Fee

$45.00 Accidental Damage Insurance

5% McDowell County Occupancy Tax (on rent)

6.75% NC State Sales Tax (on rent and reservation fee)

$100 Pet Fee (if bringing a dog)

Cancellation / Transfer Policy: If a confirmed reservation is cancelled or transferred, a processing fee of $50.00 and the $20.00 Reservation Fee plus applicable North Carolina State Sales Tax will be charged against the Advance Confirmation Deposit. If the cancellation occurs less than 30 days prior to arrival, all funds received will be forfeited, unless the property can be re-rented for the cancelled period for the full rent amount. Please allow 30 days from the date we receive your cancellation notice for any of the Advance Confirmation Deposit to be returned (applicable only if the unit was re-rented).
