Vacation Condo Rental Description:
The Villages is a gated community located within the prestigious Mauna Lani Resort famous for the Francis H. I?I Brown, 36 hole golf complex. It was the former home of the MasterCard, Senior Skins championship. World class golf, tennis, pristine beaches and private spa are just a few of the many resort amenities. The Villages also includes its own exercise facility and private pool and heated spa. This 3 bedroom, 3.5 bath home has approximately 2200 square feet of interior living space and over 400 square feet of covered lanai. There is a gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops, high end appliances, and a center island. There is a spacious living room with cable TV, CD/DVD, ceiling fan, and a dining area with seating for 6. There are large 3 panel sliding glass pocket doors that recede into the wall and open to the living room & large covered lanais for enjoyable indoor/outdoor living. The back lanai has a built in outdoor kitchen with a gas grill and seating for six. The suites offer one King and Queen Bed and the third guest bedroom has 2 double beds. Only 10 minutes from Mauna Kea and Hapuna beaches. Enjoy many other exciting activities also including seasonal whale watching, star gazing at Mauna Kea, kayaking, snorkeling and scuba diving. Renters have access to the incredible Mauna Lani Beach Club with great snorkeling right off the beach for no extra cost.There is a 3 night minimum stay/10 during Christmas holiday. Stayed for 6 days in May, 2013 I originally tried to book another condo, but to my good fortune it was not available and I was referred to this unit. Everything was wonderful. It was easy to find. Eventhough you are in a complex, it feels very secluded. The private beach club access was wonderful. The foodland club card was a welcomed find. Beach towels, boogie boards and a small cooler are there for the using. The kitchen was well equipped and the appliances easy to use. There is a notebook full of places to see and eat. |

We had a party of 6, we made a trip to Costco so we would be able to eat most of our meals at the condo, although the kitchen was stocked, it was lacking in cooking utensils, the only pan large enough to cook for 6 was a wok. There were no spices, cofee grinder, had to go purchase all of these things. The price we were charged I felt should have included a few extras. The property also featured wonderful outdoor spaces, only problem was there was only furniture to use on one of them, a lounge chair or two would have been nice! The second week of our vacation , we stayed at another condo...much cleaner and better equipt. |

It is located in a quiet, gated community, perfect for children of all ages. It's just a short, scenic walk to the ocean for those beautiful Hawaiian sunsets. Whether it's snorkeling, boogie boarding, swimming, shopping or just relaxing this is a fantastic location. |

ATA Winter Conf - Kona 2012 Douglas F. from Camano Island, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2012 The property was beautiful however is was located too far away from the ATA Conference hotel, Marriot. (Our fault for not checking the actual location.) Upon arrival the hot water heater was unplugged and turned off resulting in no hot water. Nothing in the users manual mentioned the hot water heater. The wireless modem would not connect via the wi-fi only via a direct cable connection to the modem. When I called the prop mgr to explain our dilemma, I was a little put off by their response. Ultimately I was able to resolve both issues on my own. I never heard back from the prop mgr. Thank you. |

Stayed for 7 days in December, 2010 The condo was immaculate, well appointed and well situated, that is, close to shops and within 10 minutes to a beach. My only observation would be that there was very little sunlight inside the condo so during the day the condo had low natural lighting. |

Stayed for 8 days in February, 2010 We only had a minor glitch with our property due to the need to switch to a different property. The new property suited all of our needs and judging from the location, we were more pleased with the new location which put us closer to the pool and off the main road. The only oversight was the directions to the new property which I did not receive but a few phone calls the day of our arrival took care of that no problem. Once we were at the property, we realized the water to the downstairs bathroom needed to be turned on as well as the circulation pump for the water heater. We received a quick response from the property's manager and owner. We would definitely hope to stay there again. |
