Great location and spacious unit
Matt G. from New York, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2016 I don't have any complaints about my rental. There was a great amount of space and was exactly as described. We were walking distance to St. Regis and also a short drive from food and restaurants and shopping. Kauai is small, so don't anticipate big stores, but it's a good part of town. We didn't use the pool as it was very small, but it was there.
Reviewed by: CLAYTON R A. does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2016 The condo was nice, however, it had advertised a 2Bed/2Bat AIR CONDITIONED unit. There was no AC in the Master Bedroom. The unit in the open dining room/living room took approximately 5 hours to cool the unit down. After 24 hours, we could sleep in the Master Bedroom. The unit was definitely dated and at the very least the bed linens should be replaced. They are thin, faded and smelled dusty. Kitchen had everything that we could possibly need, however, the largest burner on the stove top needs replacement. Lastly, the blinds need to be cleaned or better yet, replaced. They were filthy. The lanai was wonderful in the morning to enjoy our breakfast and the view of the golf course was perfect. The lanai was not good in the evening because of the gnats or bugs. We could not have an open container of any kind, Two weeks prior we stayed at Kauai Beach Resort or had no problems with gnats so I have to assume it was because the condo is on the wetter side of the island, and therefore it is understandable there would be bugs. We would not stay there again and we cannot recommend it.
A guest from Buenos Aires, recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in January, 2014 Es una excelente casa, totalmente equipada en una buena ubicación cerca de la costa Na Pali y de algunas buenas playas.La casa es muy amplia y con una hermosa vista al parque.Totalmente recomendable.
A guest from Brewster, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in January, 2014 My husband and I spent a wonderful week in this condo in Princeville. We loved the location on the north side of the island - quiet and beautiful yet easy to drive to all areas on island. The accommodations were a bit dated but very comfortable. I am a clean freak so the place would have to be absolutely spotless to get 5 stars. I gave this one 3 because it wasn't perfect but okay for me. I would recommend this condo to anyone planning a trip to Kauai.
A guest from Saint Marys, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2013 The property is well located near the north shore of Kauai, is very well equipped with all the conveniences of home, and is very large. the air conditioning unit in the living area keeps that area cool in hot weather, and fans are provided to blow the cool air back into the big bedroom. We suspect that during a large part of the year the breezes are cool enough that you do not need the a/c. Two big TV's (hope you do not need them on vacation, excellent wi-fi service, and a big bathroom with jacuzzi tub round out the amenities inside.
Pamela L. from Richmond, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in September, 2013 Very quiet, small condo complex, parking right outside the door & nice view of the golf course. Unit was spacious, well stocked with necessities, clean, A/C a bonus, and has a covered patio. Easy place to relax & enjoy walking throughout Princeville. We hope to return soon & feel this condo was a very good value compared to others we viewed.
A guest from Tokyo, Kanto recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in July, 2013 We have been to Emalani Ct. over five times and enjoy the location so much. Unit 411 is ok but the condition of the furniture was old and torn in some cases. The overall feel is less quality than other units we have used.
A guest from south san francisco, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 8 days in June, 2013 The photos of the home looked amazing. When we arrived the home did not smell very good. The carpet had stains. The refrigerator was very dirty with food crumbs still in it. Just about every dish in the home needed to be washed. The pans for cooking were not in good cooking condition as everything stuck. We then made the decision not to cook in the home. The master bedroom bed sheets were stained and didn?t smell well. After two days of sleeping in the bed, my husband said, let?s try and wash them. When we washed them the stains came out, therefore we were led to believe they were never changed from the previous renters who stayed in the home. We were not very happy learning that we may have possibly slept in someone else?s sheets.
Christopher S. from Lebanon, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2013 Overall, we were a bit disappointed by Kauai in general (rain, waves, murky ocean water which wasn't terribly conducive to snorkeling, congestion), but the condo itself was a highlight and was almost perfect. It was a lot bigger than I had originally thought, with a huge living room, nice sized kitchen, two bedrooms and two full-sized bathrooms. My only complaint, if you can call it that, was that the condo was pretty warm (82 or so) when we got there because it hadn't been stayed in the week before. My girlfriend and I love it cold, but it cooled down pretty quickly (then again, it's Hawaii so I shouldn't be complaining about air conditioning!). The location was pretty nice, a short walk to Hideaways Beach (my favorite) and Queens Bath. Foodland (and its awesome Korean Fried Chicken!) was only a 2 or 3 minute drive away. There is a nice sized pool located directly across the street from the front door as well. I had a few issues with the internet resetting itself, but all you have to do is unplug the cable modem and plug it back in. Overall, while I'm not sure if we'd go to Kauai again (which I know is an outlying opinion), I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat. I didn't have any communication with Ahh Aloha aside from email (nor did I need to), but the rental process was easy and exceeded expectations, and I would rent from then again no questions asked.
A guest from Portland, OR does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2013 AC did not reach to master bedroom, room too hot at nightNo wine glasses??? Neighbors upstairs extremely noisyPerson in parking lot holding an AK-47 gun, another guest notified policeFound huge rat in swimming pool notified on site manager, he said there are rats all over the propertyOn-Site manager (lives above the pool) while swimming could here shouting and loud noises from his condo Yard maintenance crew running leaf blowers all day by pool when guests were trying to relax
Kathy N. from Castle Rock, CO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2013 This was a comfortable condo with VERY basic amenities. The location of the condo is great, but the unit itself needs updating and attention to detail. We have stayed in other units that are well equipped with kitchen necessities, sufficient bath and laundry supplies and trash bags. It was obvious that the management company is scraping by.
Grant S. from Airdrie, Alberta recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2013 What a fantastic place this is indeed. Tucked away from the highway and sandwiched between 2 fantastic golf courses and the Ocean make this a quiet and tranquil spot.It is clear the owners take pride in their piece of heaven, it had all the amenities we could ask for. Well stocked and very clean. Had a small issue accessing the Internet but was able to resolve. The condo complex itself is well maintained and the other guests and owners are quiet and respectful. It would be nice if the condo had a small grounds map.The unit is HUGE with oodles of space and smartly configured for privacy. We'll be back!
A guest from Heathsville, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in December, 2012 The only problem was we could not get to the internet with the provided password-on 3 computers. I called for assistance and never got a return call, otherwise, everything was wonderful.
A guest from New York, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2012 Great condo with lots of space and fully equipped with everything we needed. Location was great, nearby grocery shops, hanalei bay and with awesome sunset views from the nearby gold course.
Mary C. from Indianapolis, IN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2012 The positive - the unit is on the golf course and has a wonderful view. The condo layout if nice, large, and spacious. The negative - unit needs some work. It's an older condo that is really starting to show its' age. The appliances need to be updated. The white carpet is old, stained and should be replaced with tile. The bathrooms are in need of a remodeling job. The condo has a musky mothball smell to it and the furniture is stained. The air conditioner is also very old and on its? last leg. Net net, the condo needs to be remodeled and updated.
A guest from Keizer, Oregon recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2012 Overall this was a very nice unit in a handy location in Princeville. Only negatives were from people in unit above-sounded like they were walking a marathon and they used the A/C unit constantly-their a/c compressor unit is right outside the master bedroom windows of 411. With the right neighbors in the upstairs unit this would be a 5 star.
Christine R. from Henderson, NV does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2011 Although clean, this condo is sadly stuck in 1970's Florida decor. Other like condos for the same price are decorated much nicer with up to date style. Shows lack of care - curtains falling off the rods, missing light bulbs in front entry and front porch. Furniture in living area looks shoddy and placed awkwardly. Window handles falling off LR windows which can't be locked. Nice location and lots of room but I would stay at another property next time.
Mimi C. from San Francisco, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2011 The place was very clean! The kitchen was extremely well stocked with numerous bowls and plates, etc. The air conditioning worked great. We had a great time!
Tiana C. from Honolulu, Hawaii recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in May, 2011 Staying at this rental was the perfect escape for us after a hectic year abroad! Kauai is a beautiful island, and the North Shore of the island where this rental is located is by far the best place to enjoy it! The rental itself was in pristine condition, and we really appreciated the wonderful kitchen for getting some cooking done while here. We also were able to easily access both the local beaches by foot from here and get some amazing snorkeling in (which including swimming with many honu/sea turtles!). Every night there was a perfect sunset to be seen, and we couldn?t have hoped for more in our stay! We definitely will be back soon again if given the chance to :)
A guest from Murrysville, PA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 8 days in February, 2011 This unit has not been updated in more than 30 years - original white kitchen appliances turned yellow, dirty and sagging LR furniture, stained carpets, very old and uncomfortable twin beds - plus NO AC in master BR after being told the unit was fully air conditioned. There were dead bugs everywhere and we were greeted by several roaches. The closed contained a pile of empty boxes and beach equipment and had to be emptied completely to unpack. On-site staff (Eric) was helpful, but the El Paso rental agent - Sandra Greenburg was not. In fact, she was rude and unwilling to make amends. There are other nicer places in Princeville and South Shore of Kauai for less -- avoid this one.
Misty C. from Kent, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in July, 2010 We came to Kaua'i to get married on July 4th. We knew the island was going to be amazing, but we were very pleased over the condo as well! The inside was very spacious and clean. The pool and hot tub was also very nice. We did have to sweep the common walk way a few times to be sure we didn't track dirt into the condo. I feel if the maintenance would have come around with their blower it would have helped. I also feel the restrooms at the pool could have been kept cleaner. Other than that, everything was great! We will be back very soon.
Marlia M. from Oregon, WI recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2010 We had a lovely time at this condo. It was extremely clean and well-equipped. The location was great, right in Princecille and close to many beaches and a grocery store. We cooked a lot at the condo and relaxed on the lanai. Some condo reviews in the area talked about bugs, but we didn't see any and the condo was extremely clean and tidy. There were even beach mats and towels for us to use. I would definitely recommend this condo!!
Charline B. from Burleson, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2010 Very nice, clean and larger than we expected! Very comfortable bed, all the things we needed were stocked... Beautiful location!! Highly recommend this place!
