Ocean View with Large Lanais A guest from Temecula, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 22 days in November, 2012 The Cliffs is a great property at which to stay with plenty of amenities and friendly staff. However, #4209, while very affordable, is in need of some TLC. We were there 3 weeks and meal preparation was difficult with not a sharp knife among the many in the drawer, no scissors, a horrible can opener, no ice cream scoop, pyrex-type measuring cup, salad servers or salad bowl. An extra saucepan or two would be helpful. Nice glassware but a mixture of different dishes/bowls. The bed was comfortable with nice quality linens and plenty of new towels, although the pillows were lumpy. Curtain was hanging off the rail and there was trash behind the dresser. The screen door from the living room needs fixing as it was very difficult to operate. |

Kauia, Cliffs 4209, Sept. 2012 John B. from Novato, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in August, 2012 We loved the unit and always love the Cliffs our favorite complex. We have a couple suggestions, maintenance items. nob to switch the water in tub to take a shower does not work in 2nd bathroom. DVD does not work, we tried everything. new tv(s) would be nice especially in master. mold, mildew strong smell in kitchen especially cabinets right of stove and left of dishwasher, gets worse as you get closer to windows.some cords, lamps, plugs seem to be shorting out and lamp on dresser sparks so we did not use it. Light is master bath does not always go on. we love the place and will be back for sure! aloha and mahalo for a wonderful stay. Property is well kept, but starting to show its age. Condo was clean, but no air conditioning. This was not a problem except in the hottest part of the day. Condo buildings arranged so that most units have at least a partial ocean view. beach chairs, umbrella and cooler provided in the unit were a definite plus. The only issue I had was that no one could provide a key to the safe in the unit, so it was useless. |

Especially appreciated the late check-out since our flight didn't leave until 9:30 pm, felt like we got an extra day of vacation! The condo was great for the price. Only real negative was the awful smell in the kitchen. We moved the microwave out to the lanai which helped but then determined the cupboards to the r. of the stove were part of the problem. But it was a minor issue, just something that probably can be dealt with by owners. Kitchen supplies are minimal but adequate (coffee filters would have been nice since we arrived late night and purchased coffee at the Reception desk the next morning but couldn't brew it til we went to the store). King-size bed was comfy, couch and armchair... not so much. Light fixture in master bath needs repair, very slow to come on if at all. Enjoyed lounge chairs and hammock on the grassy cliff area over-looking the ocean. Grounds well maintained, pool area nice. Ahh Aloha was one of the easiest rental agencies we've ever dealt with, we were concerned since you're off island but quick replies to emails was great. No name of housekeeper posted in the condo as indicated in the paperwork but David helped us with the late check out and all was good! Mahalo |

Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 My husband and I returned to Princeville this year, and once again, booked through Ahh Aloha, who has been wonderful on every occasion. This trip, we decided to stay at The Cliffs, which is a nice property and we definitely enjoyed our stay there; however, we found The Cliffs management to be unresponsive and dismissive. We found our unit, #4209, to be quite spacious, well-decorated, and nicely equipped. What one may not see or realize by looking through the photos of this unit is that there are two lanais - one off the bedroom, which overlooks the main driveway into The Cliffs and parking; a larger lanai is off the living room, and has a partial and distant ocean view. Unfortunately, during our stay, this lanai view also included heavy machinery. While the kitchen and two full bathrooms are small, the rest of the condo is quite spacious and comfortable. We were very happy with unit #4209 and are likely to return in the future. |

Could have used a few basic cleaning supplies, i.e. Windex, 409 Kitchen Cleaner, Disinfectant Wipes, etc. - those items you don't carry with you but want handy in your home at all times. Also, the units could use larger TV's - at least 32-inch.....All in all, a very wonderful and comfortable stay. |

Loved the location - gorgeous view from the kitchen and living room. Very quiet property - nice and clean.The only drawback was there was remodeling/construction going on in the condo next to us so it was noisy at times during the day; and there were two large construction 5th wheelers just outside our condo in the parking lot, which took up parking space and wasn't nice to look at. But overall we were very satisfied. |

A Huge Disappointment Jim C. from Chico, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 19 days in June, 2011 Huge trailers were parked in front of the building our entire stay. We could never park close to the building. Our view was obscured front and back by the trailers and a huge dumpster. The unit was musty smelling and the shower curtains were hanging off the shower rods. Many items that had been in the unit when we stayed there two years ago were gone. The lightbulbs were burnt out and none of the batteries in the remote controls worked. We replaced all these things. When we approached the Cliffs desk for help, they told us we'd have to call the local real estate rep. Not helpful. The dryer lint trap was disgusting. We dug out hand fulls of lint from all around the trap - the trap itself was full of holes and we feared using the dryer at all. The beach chairs were all broken - we left two new ones. We replaced several kitchen utensils that were missing - kitchen scissors, a vegetable peeler, to name a few. The drapes in the bedroom did not function at all. You could not open or close them because the mechanism was tied in a big knot and completely unusable. They were constantly remodeling the other unit in the building and the noise was non-stop. Banging, hammering and blasting music all day. One day they painted the steps and we could not get to our unit. Our last stay there was so enjoyable - that's why we returned. What happened ??? We probably won't return. |

The location was perfect. The interior was in clean, well kept. The grounds were kept immaculate daily. We only went to the pool once, we enjoyed the beach everyday. I would reccomend this unit, perfect to be able to cook and not eat out every night. There were beachchairs and we donated our beach umbrella for the next guests to use. You will not be disappointed with this property. |

Good pricing for nicely furnished one bedroom, nice location and view, well supplied kitchen, and generally nice resort facilities surrounding the unit. Couple of things that we needed to address when we arrived- no way to access internet, no DVD player (missing?)and TV had fuzzy connection, constant toliet running and no shower drain screen. We had David come out to fix us up, but it took several trips. Couple of ideas to improve the unit- needs more towel holders in each bathroom and a soap holder inside the shower (floor gets really wet when you have to reach outside shower.) Screen door in bedroom falls off track repeatedly and needs repair at bottom. Need a blanket for the sleeper couch. |
