Vacation Cabin Rental Description:
A fitting tribute to her namesake, the Cherokee Rose offers weary travelers a welcomed retreat to comfort and gently renew their spirits. Nestled in among the pines and hardwoods, near the shores of Lake Nottely, and TVA Recreational Area, and within easy access to the Poteet Creek beach area and boat launch. With plenty of room to park cars and/or boat trailers, you are welcomed to bring your boat or jet sky! There is comfortable accommodation for 2 couples or small family of 4, in this rustic style 2 bedroom/2 bath cabin. Master Suite located on the open loft, features a Queen Size bed and full bath with luxurious whirlpool, garden tub. Lower Master Suite has King Size bed and adjacent full bath with tub and shower. Tastefully appointed and fully equipped in every way, the Rose lacks nothing in charm, amenities and outdoor activities. The cathedral ceilings and all-wood interior are complemented by upscale Lodge style furnishings and stone fireplace with gas logs for convenience. The Cabin has central heat and air, ceiling fans, all appliances and fabulous new Hot Tub located out on the rear covered porch, where you?ll also find the charcoal grill and table and chairs for dining out. The open kitchen/dining area easily become the center for families, friends or couples.

Only issue was that there is no internet connection in the house and we had to use a cellphone hotspot. Definitely try "The Murphy Chophouse" in Murphy, NC. We had an amazing dinner! Stayed for 2 days in February, 2013 Would like to have been able to smoke without freezing our buts off, also why do we get charged $75 cleaning fee when we had to take out our own garbage, and make sure everything but the beds were as we found them. Sorry for your misunderstanding, we ask you to place the garbage in the outdoors garbage bin and we pick up the garbage after your departure. We have to clean the property so the next guests enjoy the cabin the same way you did when you arrived, but we don?t ask you to wash linens and towels, vacuum, polish the furniture, clean and sanitize the hot tub, etc. we do all that work for the small fee of housekeeping departure and we include in that fee all the startup supplies you had for your arrival, such as paper towels, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bath, liquid soap, dishwasher soap, hands soap liquid and in a bar, shower soap bar per bath, all trash bags and garbage liners, etc.Really is an small fee for the convenience you have as our guest and in the top of that we always welcome you with a basket full of goodies!Thank you for your comments and we hope to have you back soon |

Very Nice Week, Wish I Had Two Barry T. from Midway, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 I had a great stay. The info said it was close to some sort of fitness center. I never found it but ran the the road each day. It was a very peaceful place to stay and get out & run/or walk. Saw lots of wildlife. One day a large turtle came to visit. We spotted him from the back balcony. He was eating a mushroom and when he got finished he went on his way. It was also good location for day trips; Appalachin trail, Hiawassi,Blue Ridge, White water, etc.... Had a great time. Property Manager Response: Response from Enchanted Mountain Retreats, Inc. The fitness center is just 10 mi from the property right by the hospital; we are sorry you didn?t call us for directions or specific information; also we have some brochures in the cabin. There were two "maintenance" problems that should probably be addressed:1) There is a wasp nest in the Hot Tub liner right in front of the steps. During the day wasps fly in an out constantly which made the deck unusable during the day.2) The blinds are too large for the slots they are sitting in. This caused a couple of the blinds to fall when we tried lowering/raising them.Also, it would have been nice to have WiFi.Other than that we had a great stay.Thanks. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2012 My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent trip to the north Georgia mountains. We spent 4 nights in the Cherokee Rose - a cozy cabin in the woods. We would have liked to have had a cabin with a view, but the overall amenities of the cabin were very nice. We spent our days exploring the mountains and our evenings relaxing in the hot tub on the back porch watching the fireflies. It was a very relaxing, stress free, much needed break from the fast pace of our everyday lives! We were very well pleased with the help we had from Enchanted Mountain Retreats - our every need was taken care of. We especially enjoyed staying in a pet friendly cabin that enabled us to take our four legged babies, Daisy and Saben with us. I believe they enjoyed the trip as much as we did. We look forward to being able to escape again, and most definitely recommend the services of Enchanted Mountain Retreats!!! |

The Cherokee Rose cabin rocks! David S. from Greenville, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 The Cherokee Rose is a cozy, accommodating and dog friendly cabin which we plan to visit again. The back deck facing the woods is amazing - ESPECIALLY in light of its spacious hot tub (a great way to either begin your morning or end your day). It's not a big cabin but it's definitely good enough for four people with its 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms. While the upstairs bedroom does not have a shower, it has a large, nice, modern garden tub for all the avid bubble-bathers out there. The living room and kitchen are found in a nice open layout. Amenities include satellite dish TV with a bunch of channels, DVD player, stereo, coffee maker, nice kitchen equipment/utensils, laundry washer/dryer. We stayed from Sat. to Sat. and had every convenience we could possibly want. Blairsville is a nice not-too-touristy headquarters for a mountain vacation. We drove all over the region, visiting 4 BEAUTIFUL waterfalls, Brass Town Bald, Vogel State Park for hiking, Lake Chatuge (sp?) for kayacking, downtown Dahlonega for lunch/shopping... I will say that Lake Chatuge in nearby Hiawassee offers more than Lake Nottely in Blairsville (even though it was only 5 minutes from our cabin, the beach at Lake N was disappointing), but again, it's an easy drive and we'd rather stay in a less crowded town like Blairsville. Downtown Blairsville is nice in it's own right, though - we had some great country cookin' one morning, we bought some cool used books, and we also caught a movie at the nice and clean local theater. Two grocery stores near downtown (BiLo and Ingles) are EXCELLENT - even by big city standards. We know now that we don't have to load up on my gluten-free groceries before going to Blairsville because Ingles is HUGE and has a great selection. |

The house is surrounded by trees and lots of wonderful outdoor sounds which is very nice. The home was well equipped and comfortable. Be advised that if it is rainy the area at the entrance to the house will be muddy. The only downside inside the house was that the steps going up to the loft bedroom had very narrow stairs and are a bit steep. Overall the experience was very pleasant and I would definitely stay there again. |

Wished I had taken the time to call for clarification on directions prior to Thanksgiving, as I was so busy with work....a few more descriptors like "take 325" and so forth might have been more helpful...and "last house down Virginia Lane on the left" would have been more helpful than "the house with green roof" which could not be seen in the dark. Cherokee Rose sign old and barely visible.... Beds Ok once we figured out how to use it--thanks for leaving the directions! Truely a pleasant stay. |
