This three-bedroom, two-bath condominium gives the true feeling of Paradise on the Big Island of Hawaii. Recently updated with wood flooring, kitchen countertop, remodeled bathrooms & 2 lanais. The view from this condo is beyond your wildest expectations! Directly on the ocean with incredible stunning Hawaiian sunsets. This Resort is on world famous Alii Drive, just 3 miles south of the quaint town of Kailua-Kona where you will find great restaurants and shopping. Banyans Beach, famous for its intermediate surfing, is on the south end of the complex. This is a non-smoking unit with a 3 night minimum stay/10 during Ironman & Christmas season. W-01

Close enough to town but far enough away to avoid the crowds. Lots of Local Surfers everyday put on a terrific show for us. Only problem we had was that the original address provided was wrong and we had some minor delays getting settled in because we could not fine the place. I would book this place again! |

Sooo Very Close to the Ocean Michael L. from Littleton, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2013 There are a few who would like to turn down the noise of the waves coming ashore within mere feet of your deck in #201. If you are such a person, don't ask for this 3 bedroom unit. Obviously, if you like the early mornings with your coffe and looking at the ocean and local school kids surfing, or if you like to have your own personal lanai to witness the sunset, this is a very nice place to be. One warning to future visitors, it is necessary to clean up after your meals (place anything with food particles on it in the dishwasher), otherwse you will have small ants helping to keep the place clean. Obviously, it is your choice. Enjoy! |

The accomodations were excellent and extremely comfortable. It became our home away from home. The kitchen was very useful having 3 kids to feed and the washer and dryer was very handy. The views were amazing and we enjoyed watching the surfers and boogie boarders from the lanai. We would defintely stay there again :) |

201 - November 2012 Charles H. from Baker City, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2012 The unit was overall pretty good and the main lanai was perfect. The kitchen was great but furniture in the living room was not good. In addition, the instructions we were given to enter the unit were wrong. The lock had been replaced with an electronic unit but we weren't given the code. We had to call the after hours number and it took the better part of an hour for the proper code to be called back to us. Also, we were told to park in space 5. The paint identifying the spaces in the parking area was almost invisible but after some searching we found space 5. The following morning we found a ticket on our car threatening towing our rental car unless we obtained a parking permit from the office. Although getting the permit was no problem, the threatening ticket was a rude surprise. The number of towels in the unit was inadequate for 4 people and they were thread bare and stained. BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS! Sugar ants were well established in the master bedroom bathroom. The condo was weathered but you have to expect that on any ocean front property. $130 cleaning fee is robbery. Nonetheless, the ocean is a stone's throw from the lanai. Watching the sunset on the lanai with a mai tai in hand was divine. Overall, we give this unit 4 stars - great value, perfect location, and easy to overlook the negatives. |

We loved to sit on the balcony and just enjoy the sunsets and the cool mornings. The outside was quite dumpy looking, but they were doing construction to fix that while we were there. The unit has boogie boards and beach accessories available so you don't have to rent. The only down fall was the noise from street and construction on near by units. Master bedroom faces the ocean side but the other two bed rooms are on the street side so I slept with the window closed and ceiling fan on. |

Stayed for 15 days in May, 2012 We stayed with 4 adults and 2 small children for 2 weeks and found the condo to be large enough that we weren't tripping all over each other the whole time, it was wonderful.Best points:- right on the ocean, and right on a couple of small beaches. Not many places in Kona provide this due to the volcanic rock everywhere.- It was a special treat to be so close to one of the best surfing spots on the Island, we could sit right on the lanai and just watch.Worst points:- the hot tub has been banned for kids under 12 and the main pool is too deep for any kids under 12 to touch the bottom.- The road noise can be a bit much sometimes in the two rooms that face the road (two twin beds and queen bed) but the kids didn't seem to let this bother their sleep, they were so exhausted from the day.Overall would recommend this to a friend as it was in a great location for snorkeling and going the beach. |

Unfortunately the complex had issues with water and our condo was flooded as were quite a few other condos luckily we only had o two nights to go. The management at the Kona Bali Kai were great and moved us to another room and someone from Kona Vacations came over to make sure we were okay. I really hope to go back |

Stayed for 4 days in January, 2011 Unit has fleas!!! Two of us were badly bitten. Lanai was filthy, needed sweeping but there was no broom! Lanai screen door needs replacing, does not open/close easily. Broken window in bathroom, master bedroom screen had a whole in it. We had to buy a battery to get the living room fan to work. If the unit was cleaner and in better repair I'd rate it higher, but as it is, it's not worth the high price--should be $100 for what we got. |
