Village situated on the edge of Slowinski National Park called "Polish Sahara" with mobile dunes, turf, beautiful plants - 800 species and 260 species of birds. Gardna Wielka is situated by the Gardno Lake (over 2468 ha), with a great stone called "Devil Stone" that can be seen by the coast of the lake (yellow track). There is the highest mountain of that part of the coast, 6 km from the village called Rowokol (115 m n.p.m.). There is a track to the top of that mountain. There is an exciting view of the surroundings from the panorama tower: line of dunes from Gardno Lake to Smoldzino, further to the east up to Lebsko Lake, with a park with Czolpinska Lamp. Smoldzino 7 km. Kluki (museum) 19 km.
