Enjoy the peace and quiet of riverfront living at it's best. Fish, canoe, hike or sit and rock on the large front covered porch overlooking the river. Watch for deer and turkeys to come strolling through the yard. Secluded, this cabin is the last one on the road, so you will feel free to take hikes, enjoy the river, or just have your own private picnic. This beuatiful new log cabin will amaze you with it's spaciousness and light & airy feeling great room that offers ample seating, satellite TV / DVD combo, along with a cozy gas log fireplace, a gorgeous kitchen complete with everything needed to prepare a meal and a dishwasher for easy cleanup. Upstairs, the huge master suite offers a comfortable queen bed and satellite TV and DVD along with a private bath. The main level provides two additional bedrooms that share a bath. One bedroom offers two double beds and TV, while the second offers one double bed along with a sleeper sofa. Local telephone service is provided, along with washer/dryer, towels and linens and plenty of games and puzzles. Only six miles to Jefferson, 10 miles to West Jefferson, 2 miles to Zaloo's Canoes where you can rent a canoe and take a trip down the New River, 25 minutes to Boone, and 3 miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Glendale Springs. The river is just a short walk from the cabin or maybe accessed from the lower road by car. The walk down to the river is steep in some place. Note: Due to steep driveway at the property, a frontwheel drive or four wheel drive vehicle is recommended.
