What You See Is Not What You Get David K. from Hartman, WI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 28 days in February, 2013 The Internet image was not the unit we walked into...the furniture and decor were different, the feeling was eclectic at best, the pictures and wall art were not as pictured. We felt uncomfortable in its mishmash and guests we had felt the same. I would not have chosed Unit 106 had it not been portrayed as something else. The unit was on the 1st floor facing the beach yet the masterbedroom drape could not be opened and closed(we lived with it open 24/7 rather than spoil the view when we were awake). We appreciated the owner's response and visit, especially two lounge chairs for the deck (the deck furniture was different than pictured, too). What we saw on the video is not what we found. There is a real need to update the pictures for people who are looking to rent. In its favor, we found the unit very clean and liked being on the first floor. For the record, we are from Hartland, WI...not Hartman. Thank you. |

The girls on the counter were very nice, and helpful. Only problem was the girl washing the floor, that wasn't really clean when we got there, only damp sponged it, still wasn't very clean. Only other thing, was make sure you bring toilet paper, coffee filters, salt and pepper, paper toweling, dish soap, etc... It does say not provided on rental agreement, but any other place I have rented, a generous supply was provided. |

Unit 106 was great--only minor issues: shower heads need to be updated to at least have spray options; tubs are hard to get in and out of if short or heavy set, so handles are needed. Beds were comfortable, balcony was nice and big, kitchen was recently upgraded, & walls were very sound proof. 4 adults and two teenagers stayed in this unit very comfortably. We definitely recommend this unit to anyone interested in vacationing in Gulf Shores, AL!! |
