Direct ocean views from this unit! This condo has an open livingroom and dining area.There are two twin pull outs in the livingroom. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom two twins. There a two full baths one in each bedroom. Pets are not permitted in this unit and smoking is allowed outside only. Oh, did I mention the sunrises are amazing! Nestled in the golden dunes of Mustang Island, Beachhead condos all have gulf views. The complex amenities include a swimming pool, lounge facility for up to 60 people with a fully equipped kitchen, great for parties, weddings, family reunions, basketball and volleyball court, playground, private boardwalk to the beach just steps from any of the units. The location of our condo was perfect - walk to the beach, walk/short drive to restaurants in town, nice pool to relax in with a view of the beach, great view of the water from our balcony - it was a really great stay, and for a good price, too. We were a group of six adults and had plenty of room. My husband and I stayed on the futon couches in the living room as we are early risers and were up before everyone else, and we were both pleased with how comfortable the couches were! We slept well! The kitchen is fully stocked, too - complete with a coffee grinder for fresh ground coffee. Can't recommend this place enough. We loved all the funky artwork/sculptures in the condo - great conversation pieces while dining and playing games. There was also a nice TV with DVD player - we felt right at home. |

Condo was tastefully decorated in a beach theme. The condo was very clean. This place is showing its age but appeared well maintained. Pool was clean. Wireless signal was weak so never were able get on the net. Chain broke on the toilet the first but we got used to it. Never received any clean towels during our stay and trash was allowed to pile up on the ground at the bottom of the stairs. Quiet time was 10pm but our fellow vacationers ran up and down the stairs all night. Some of these things are to be expected with a vacation rental and some are not. |

Starlight Siesta Beachhead Cono's 3rd floor Mitzi J. from San Marcos, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2012 Port Aransas Escapes does great job with customer service, info, etc.Only 2 downsides to this condo.. When we 1st got to condo, bathrooms were pretty filthy :(. Hair in sink , tubs, floor. Was bad enough that I scrubbed both bathrooms early the next day myself. Not what I was planning to do:(Next thing.. While view is great from ( very long but narrow) balcony... We could not see anything if sitting in the chairs provided by owners!! Had to stand up to see view. They need to really replace chairs with deck high or bar top high chairs. One of my favorite things to do in early am is to SIT with coffee on balcony and enjoy view. Couldn't do that. Just my suggestion to make condo 5 star!:) |

Stayed for 2 days in May, 2012 Stayed for 2 nights in the Starlight Siesta unit was clean did have to wash a few things before we used them. First time I opened the drawer with the silverware just about had all of it fall on my foot because the drawer was broken. Balcony door did not lock. But unit has a great view air conditioner works great. It could use new shower heads they were cheap and leaked all over the tub. Unit does need some updating but I would stay there again. |

We like staying in town, easy access to the city beach (both by car and using the boardwalk) and the pool/volleyball area. Especially liked the new playscape this year!
