Vacation Condo Rental Description:
This condo has an open livingroom and dining area. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the second bedroom two twins both with a trundle. There a two full baths one in each bedroom. Pets are not permitted in this unit and smoking is allowed outside only. Oh, did I mention the sunrises are amazing! Nestled in the golden dunes of Mustang Island, Beachhead condos all have awesome gulf views. The complex amenities include a swimming pool, lounge facility for up to 60 people with a fully equipped kitchen, great for parties, weddings, family reunions, basketball and volleyball court, playground, private boardwalk to the beach just steps from any of the units. From the moment we booked our reservation things went perfectly. The condo is MUCH better than I expected it would be. The exterior buildings look old and dated, but inside the condo is completely renovated. The wi-fi was a bit spotty at times, but otherwise it was a great experience. There is a direct boardwalk to the beach, but it's a bit of a trek. Still, it was such a great experience we would go back in a heartbeat. |

This unit was very nicely remodeled with a beach theme - it's as cute as the pictures. The complex is not fancy, but the pool is lovely, nice playground for the kids and it was quiet. Really short walk to the beach over the dunes. Only drawback - the WiFi did not really work in the unit (only spotty coverage in the kitchen), so if that is important to you you may want to consider a different unit. |

We were pleasantly surprised at the location; the walk to the beach is no bother and was a good chance to dry off (and for this price, you're not going to find a condo right on the beach in Port A). The pool and property were clean and well kept. The condo has daily trash service and when we needed a (very) minor repair at the condo, the maintenance personnel showed up very promptly. You can't beat this place for the price in Port A!! |

The boardwalk leads to the public beach, but that turned out to be okay for people watching. The office staff was very helpful and friendly. The only thing we would change would be the view which was hindered by the big sand dunes, but we could still see the water. We would stay here again and would recommend it! |

Stayed for 4 days in August, 2011 The condo was beautifully decorated and incredibly clean- it seemed almost brand was very colorful and family friendly. Beach view was not the greatest although you could spot it off in the distance. The pool is close and easily accessed, as is a playground. The air conditioner was almost unbearably loud in the front bedroom with the twin beds. We also had to call and have someone come and override the programed temperature to make it more comfortable. It was taken care of after we called in a relatively short period of time. We have stayed at Beachhead many times throughout the years and always enjoy being there. However, some things have changed due to the way the property is managed now. I think it would be helpful to let people know a few things before they come. There are no more clean towels furnished now during your stay and it is up to the occupant to wash their own. Toilet paper is also only furnished once and then must be bought at the store if needed. There is also no one changing the bedding during the stay or making up the beds. It would have been better to have known these things and have been prepared for them. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and we would stay at Beachhead again but maybe request a unit closer to the front for a better view of the beach. And then hope that it was as pretty as the one we stayed in before!! |
