A totally remodeled condo, tile throughout this unit. This condo has an open livingroom and dining area. The brand new kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook your catch of the day. The master bedroom has a king size bed, with fabulous gulf views and the second bedroom 4 twins. The second bedroom was recently remodeled to be a closed off bedroom. There a two full baths, one in each bedroom. This unit also has a twin sleeper in the livingroom. Pets are not permitted in this unit and smoking is allowed outside only. There is a large deck that over looks the beach. Enjoy the great breezes from this deck. Oh, did I mention the sunrises are amazing! Nestled in the golden dunes of Mustang Island, Beachhead condos all have awesome gulf views. The complex amenities include a swimming pool, lounge facility for up to 60 people with a fully equipped kitchen, great for parties, weddings, family reunions, basketball and volleyball court, playground, private boardwalk to the beach just steps from any of the units. The property management company made it painless to reserve, and because we were running late, they even put a lock box on the door, so that we didn't have to stop by the office to check-in.The property is located in an older condominium complex, but the owners have nicely renovated the place with Ikea furniture -- only negative is the shower is a little dated, but adequate -- the rest of the bathroom is also nicely renovated. It is as close to the beach as most places are here (boardwalk pathway to the beach). Didn't really try any of the condo amenities, so I can't really tell you about those.If you live in South TX, this was a lot more convenient that driving to South Padre. Will consider staying here again in the future. . . |

Unfortunately, the one from Lubbock is ill and could not make the trip. We had a wonderful time, reading, watching movies, sitting on the beach and just talking. We also went out for lunch and dinner and cooked breakfast at the condo. It was perfect for the four of us and we really enjoyed it and look forward to going back. |

I do recomend getting new pics taken and posted on line beacause they do not do the property any justice. It was decorated so nicely very modern yet still cozy. Very IKEA/Pottery Barn. It is actually more spacious than we expected wich was a plus. For a two bedroom condo it had tons of space and places for people to sleep. The second bedroom was a lot bigger than we expected as well. The master room was very nice, we loved the bed sooo comfortable, slept like a baby. The deck outside was awesome plenty of space for us to stretch out and relax. It was clean with everything we needed in the kitchen. I have absolutely nothing negative to say and we will definately be coming back for more! Thanks we had a blast! |

It is well decorated and clean and newly remodeled. I would definitely stay here again. I think the place is better suited for 4 than 6 due to curtain that separates the second room and the size. Several have said the kitchen is well stocked and I would have to disagree. It needs tongs, a wine bottle opener, a larger cookie sheet, another pot or two,and steak knives. If you don't plan to cook at all then no problem. Also, the blinds that you can see through at night in the second bed room are a little uncomfortable. I think people should also know that it is on the 3rd floor. We had a person who has trouble walking and this would have been nice to know in advance. Knowing all this; however, I (4 of us)would still stay here again. |

The only issue that we had with the condo was that it was advertised as 2 bedrooms, when in fact the 2nd 'bedroom' is simply an extension of the living room with a curtain separating it. This was problematic for us, as we were two couples each with a baby. The description on this condo needs to be specific that the second bedroom is not a separate room. |

The locations was perfect, just steps away from the beach. The condo was clean and fully stocked with everything we needed and more. The furnishings from IKEA made it feel extra nice. This was perfect for our size family who needs extra room! I had come to this condo back in the 80's and remember what it looked like...huge improvement!! The only thing I could possibly say that could be improved is that at some point, it would be nice to have an updated playscape for the kids. The current one is a little scary. The pool was wonderful and the management was very friendly. We'll be back! |
