Our deluxe suites are one of the most popular in the complex. They sleep four and are perfect for a couple or a small family. Done in the traditional Belize style of bright fabric and mahogany furnishings, these units feature a single bedroom with a very comfortable queen bed with an additional queen size sleeper sofa. All units have tile floors throughout and come with complete full size kitchen and dining bar.
Caribe Island condominiums in Belize is located directly on the beach. What makes it unique is that unlike most of the buildings that line the beach on the island, they DO NOT have an obstructive break wall which is a cement wall that separates the water from the land. Caribe's builder built the break wall under the sand so you can walk into the water and swim or snorkel.
The sleepy little town of San Pedro is just 2.3 miles away can be easily reached by bicycle, golf cart or taxi. We also have a small grocery store and tour/dive operator just a few steps away. Our 300 ft dock provides another excellent spot for snorkeling, fishing, sun bathing or watching the beautiful Belizean sunrises. And when you tire of spending time on the dock you can relax on our meticulously manicured beach or enjoy our newly renovated fresh water swimming pool. Each condo is individually owned and uniquely decorated, making them ?homes? and not a ?hotel.?
Caribe Island Condos is perfect for the romantic couple, small family or independent traveler who is not looking for the "resort" environment. We offer several configurations of condominiums to chose from. Our units can accommodate between 1-10 people and all rates include.

great location away from town
John H. from Rockford, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2016 This is our third time renting unit 19. We love this unit as it is on the third floor with the balcony facing the ocean. What a view and great breezes coming through the condo. The caretaker and other neighbors are friendly and help out as needed. Highly recommend this site and this condo!
A guest from Mcminnville, Oregon recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in February, 2016 While on vacation i do not want to think about sweeping-clean sheets and clean towels. I feel it is a disservice to the condo owners that maid service is not available with the $160/night rental. NO need for every day - every 3/4 days.No blow dryer in this unit.
A guest from Winnipeg, Manitoba recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2014 the condo is well located with a breathtaking view. We were pleased with the condo in that it was comfortable and very well equipped and clean.any of our concerns were addressed in a reasonable amount of time. Our only complaint was that we found the bed a little too firm.it is in walking distance to a great restaurant " Lone Star Grill & Cantina where we enjoyed our suppers. breakfasts and lunches were easy to prepare in the condo.definitely would recommend this condo to friends!
John H. from Rockford, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2014 this is our fourth trip to Belize and our second time staying in unit 19. We love the view and the third floor balcony overlooking the sea and pier. Highly recommend Caribe Island for the location and the price.
Alicia A. from Edmonton, AB does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2014 I cannot complain about the view it was amazing, however that's all that was amazing about the room. There was a horrible infestation of ants that came from the door, balcony and shower window. It was brought to the attention of Eric and all that was done was a local women was sent with a can of raid, she fumed the place (with all my belongings in it) and was about leave with no clean up until I asked who was going to clean it up then all she did was sweep the floor. Nothing was done with the actual infestation so the ants just kept coming. I took care of the problem by placing some Ajax around the doors and windows to keep the ants out. My sister stayed in a floor unit and they never had that problem. I did not bring any food into the place as I was worried the ants would get into it and the food wasted. Only the bedroom is air conditioned. The rest of the place gets very warm. Then when it was time to checkout they sent the same local lady and with none of the checkout paperwork. Just very unprofessional and to spend almost $200.00 a night, I would never rent from them again.
Great location away from town, but close enough to bike/cart
John H. from Rockford, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in October, 2012 Once you open the front door and enter the foyer, the veiw of the pier and ocean is paradise!! The accommodations met our needs and location was great!! Ana and Eric, the Belizian property managers, were helpful and very responsive. Could not be better. If anything was a negative, is that the unit could use more dishes ( glasses, pots and pans, etc ) As my wife and I used the kithech to cook shrimp we bought from a local vendor and breakfast. There is a local restaurant in walking distance ( closed during our stay for remodeling ) and a local grocery store on the corner of the main road ( to purchase beer, rum, beans, eggs, juice, tortilla's etc ). Some of the units had full time residents that were very friendly and welcomed us. If you like the ocean view from your balcony, unit #19 is place to rent. Highly recommended. John and Jane
A guest from mcminnville, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in March, 2012 The ground were kept clean and neat. We loved swimming in the very clean pool. All the workers (roger/abel) were kind and there to help if needed. We enjoyed our stay and will stay at Caribe Island again in the future.
Reviewed by: Tom E. does not recommend this property. Stayed for 10 days in March, 2012 I booked my vacation through VRBO and was then redirected to Red Hammock Hospitality. There were fees, taxes, and charges that I did not expect until after I received the invoice. I had to change rooms due to availability and was charged twice for a damage waiver. There are people here that rented other condo's and were then redirected here. The video and information was not what was rented and paid for. The one bedroom I stayed in had a great view. The room was old in appearance, appliances were questionable, rusted and in disrepear. The furniture had stains on them, the curtains and pillows on the wall had mildew, stains or both. This should be considered as a bottom basement type of deal. If your looking for nice, look elsewhere.
A guest from lebanon, NJ recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2012 Caribe Island Resort was the perfect place for my family to relax and enjoy this beautiful island. Our rental agent, Mark, was extremely helpful in explaining the details of the property and what we can expect from this trip. The staff here was very helpful, and they were always there when we needed them. The location and views are great. The unit was clean, spacious, and fully functioning. Thanks again!
Gladys M. from Eden, UT recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2011 I worked directly with Ana & Erik the local property managers and they were OUTSTANDING in vacation planning assistance with great attention to detail and client care. This is one time when "ocean view" is a on the beach ocean view with a pier convenient for swimming/snorkeling. Being on the beach allowed us to keep the windows & doors open to allow the wonderful ocean breeze through, even into the bedroom; no need to run the AC at all! This is a well kept somewhat dated condo with a reasonably stocked kitchen for eating in; plenty of local markets. Some of the furnishings have taken a beating over time as has the minimal wall art works. Location was excellent (Suya Tours next door with so much to do) and challenging to get to town if you don't rent a cart; not a personal problem as we prefer walk or bike (6 shared bikes w/locks on property) but keep this in mind for going out in the evening if not dining in. The grounds were well looked after and night security keeps you feeling safe.I felt with the ocean view location, weekly cost and full kitchen this was a good value.
Maureen T. from Missoula, MT recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2011 Caribe Island Condos are located in a quiet area south of San Pedro. If you stay here you will want a golf cart. The grounds around the condo were very nicely kept and the view from our condo was beautiful. The condo on a whole was nice but there were a few things that needed cleaning/upgraded or fixed in our unit. The couch was stained and dirty and the refrigerator was also in need of help. The sink in the bathroom didn't drain and the mirrors/windows needed a windex makeover..of which I did on day two of our stay. I would have told the manager but I didn't see him after we checked in. This was our first visit so I have nothing to compare our stay with. I will say that the tour company next door was awesome. We had a marvelous time and I hope to visit San Pedro again. I probably will try someplace new.
A guest from Dallas, Texas does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2010 We knew we were in trouble when the manager (in the U.S.) botched our confirmed reservation only days before our arrival, forcing us to leave a day early. Only a sample of the long list of problems at the property: 1) Inadequate window screens that let in mosquitos.2) Soiled and/or damaged furniture.3) Hot water supply inadequate even with careful use.4) Poorly equipped kitchen. We strongly advise against visiting Belize in general. The diving and snorkeling may rival Cozumel in some places, but basic services and standards of living are vastly inferior and in many cases more costly.
Accomodations exceeded my expectations - THANK YOU CARIBE ISLAND
Reviewed by: Mark D. recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in March, 2010 We did a lot of research prior to this trip for many reasons. First, we heard that many places were simply not what they advertised. Second, location on this island is very important. If you stay close to town, it can be crowded and noisy. If you stay too far north, you are isolated because there is hardly a road and transportation is done exclusively by water taxi. Several friends have stayed at Caribe Island Resort because it is just about 1.5 miles south of town, just far enough from the noise, but easily accessible by golf cart, bike or taxi. The beach at this resort is simply stunning. We stayed at Unit #7 which is first floor just about 35 feet from the water. The unit was clean, spacious, and well appointed. The staff was caring and available to me at all times. There is a great dive shop on premises, and we used them for some of our excursions..what a great time. The fishing right around the resort is surprisingly good, taking our bikes a bit more south we found even better fishing for bonefish and tarpon. Thanks you to the staff who worked very hard to make our stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. We cant wait to come back next spring!!
Phillip L. from Gastonia, NC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2010 The furniture was old and worn, the toilet did not flush properly, the A/C linked water into the bedroom, and there were termites in the door leading out onto the patio. We were told that wifi was in the units and actually that is in written materials from caribe describing the property. There was no wifi. The best thing about stay was location but unit was marginal. Eric and Ana the managers were very helpful.
