Caribe Island condominiums in Belize is located directly on the beach. What makes it unique is that unlike most of the buildings that line the beach on the island, they DO NOT have an obstructive break wall which is a cement wall that separates the water from the land. Caribe's builder built the break wall under the sand so you can walk into the water and swim or snorkel.
The sleepy little town of San Pedro is just 2.3 miles away can be easily reached by bicycle, golf cart or taxi. We also have a small grocery store and tour/dive operator just a few steps away. Our 300 ft dock provides another excellent spot for snorkeling, fishing, sun bathing or watching the beautiful Belizean sunrises. And when you tire of spending time on the dock you can relax on our meticulously manicured beach or enjoy our newly renovated fresh water swimming pool. Each condo is individually owned and uniquely decorated, making them ?homes? and not a ?hotel.?

Not what we expected
Reviewed by: Howard W. does not recommend this property. Stayed for 15 days in February, 2015 Unit has several items needing repair. The unit was way small against what we expected. The bed was a pull up type bed what was broken and unable to hide away, making the unit even smaller when not sleeping. One of the stool legs was broken, one of the plastic patio chairs actually broke while I was sitting on it, shattered in pieces. Not hurt but looked like a fool. Came away with massive bug bits even after flogging the room at night on our own. I think they were in the bed. Ran out of hot water over and over. Closet door keep coming off tract and hard to open. The location was way out of town causing a 25 minute golf cart ride into town each time. Beach sucked due to grasses. Seems someone could rake it each morning.
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 Over all we enjoyed our stay. The water was disappointing because of the sea weed that flows to the decks. The room was a little small but we have learned to make the best of whatever our situation is military training I suppose. The staff was wonderful and very helpful at all times. Location was a little far from town but with golf carts it was an adventure.
Laura F. from marcallo con casone, IT recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in April, 2014 My apartment was in a fantastic location, sea view. very cozy and well-groomed. The managers were always ready to satisfy my every need. The cleanliness was excellent. Very quiet place suitable for those seeking a haven away from the hustle and locals. Personally I wanted to be quiet at night but have the opportunity to attend local in the evening. No problem, just call a taxi that takes you to San Pedro in a few minutes. The notes are negative: the mattress a little too hard the absence of the cushions on the wooden deckchairs on the beach and the lack of coral reefs to the shore. Overall I had a great holiday and would recommend it especially to people like me who thinks dedicardi to boat trips almost every day. I highly recommend it
A guest from Staten Island, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in February, 2014 Small studio, loved the morning sunrises on the beach. Condo is 2 1/2 miles from town so it is a little isolated. You definitely need a golf cart to get around. There is a small store on the corner that is very convenient for supplies. Condo #21 could use a little updating and a comfortable seating area inside. The management was very attentive when needed. Good value for the money.
Bernard S. from Louisville, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2014 Our experience at the Resort will long be remembered; The staff went out of their way to accommodate us in every way. The resort is well cared-for, with a beautiful pool, gazebo and BBQ area that is spotless. The dock offers fishing as well as a relaxing quiet area for an evening stroll. It also served as our debarkment location for (2) adventures we took with the SUYA Tours group.I would highly recommend both the Resort and Tour-Group to anyone.
Shelly P. from Greeley, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 Was very relaxing and felt safe. They left numbers of how to get ahold of anyone when needed. Set up our taxi rides and flights for us. Were all very helpful with information and suggestions of places to go or see.
A guest from Woodbury, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in April, 2013 Good security, 2.5 miles from town so we recommend a golf cart if you like going into town. Friendly staff. Dive shop and small convenient store next door. Only two restaurants in walking distance. Nice pool and outdoor area.
Robert K. from Woodbridge, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 21 days in August, 2012 I had a wonderful 3 weeks at this condo. It was very relaxing. Suya Tours and Ramons Diving was very accommodating to pick me up at the dock each morning. I experienced 26 dives and the condo was great for washing off my SCUBA gear, relaxing in the hammock, and cooking on the grill. I did some fishing and had some good meals from the fish I caught off the dock. The management was kind and courteous and maintained a high level of privacy during my stay, but was available if needed. I hope to return to this condo in the future. Thanks to the owner(s) and management for a great stay. Hope to see you in the future.
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2012 Loved it here, the only problem was feeling the bed and pillows weren't as comfortable as I'd like, and I would get a one bedroom not a studio next time. Everything else was great. So beautiful! The people were amazing and I felt safe here. It is in a great location. Had one of my best vacations ever!
Dianne F. from LaPeche, QB recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in February, 2012 Staff was extremely helpful location was great only small complaint was that each individual condo is outfitted differently because of ownership our unit had minimal supplies eg 3 plates 2 glasses 3 of each cutlery items etc the outside patio furniture needs to be updated as well brittle plastic lawn furniture that breaks easily our neighbors husband actually had a chair break and hit his head on the cement wall other than these minor issues the stay was fantastic would highly recommend this location
Cheryl A. from Damascus, Oregon recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in January, 2012 We loved our stay at Caribe Island! The only problem was that the suite did not have a few kitchen items. The staff was efficient at getting us what we needed in a timely manner! We would stay again in a heartbeat! Thank you Eric and Ana!
A guest from Dallas, Texas does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2010 Just a step up from a hostel but more expensive. We're most disappointed with the management in the U.S. who botched our confirmed reservation and falsely represented the place as something more. Much of Belize is this way. Visit Play del Carmen, Mexico, instead, and dive and snorkel in Cozumel.
