Great condo for our family of 5
Jamie N. from Edmonds, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in January, 2016 Perfect resort for our family of five. Our little ones loved the pool, water slides, sandy splash pool and kids hot tub. They also loved feeding the koi fish on Sunday and Thursday mornings (8:30 am if you're interested). The gym was not huge but had all the cardio machines and a decent selection of weight machines and dumbbells. There was also ice cold filtered water in the gym, which was convenient when sitting by the pool. This isn't a huge resort, so there was no pool side service and it's not unlimited towels...you can have a max of 6 per day. Not unreasonable in my opinion, but if you're going between beach and pool in one day, you have to plan accordingly. This sits very close to the Kapaa running/bike path which takes you to Lydgate Beach to the south and to Kapaa Beach Park and Kealia Beach Park to the north. Our unit (D104) was right next to the lobby with a garden/pool view. Two large bedrooms, both with large ensuite bathrooms. One bedroom had a king and the other had two queens. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and there's a Safeway, Starbucks and ice cream shop across the street. We rented with VRBO and it was managed by Kauai Exclusive. They they let us stay in the until until our red eye flight (free of charge) and we felt it was a good way to call it even since our dishwasher was broken for three days of our stay.
Reviewed by: Lorna O. recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in December, 2015 This unit worked out well for my husband and I and our son and family of four. The linens were great and the kitchen adequate. For the size of our group we could have used twelve plates. The property was great and the pool time for the family great so there were 16 of us to,celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary.
Christopher V. from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2015 Needed some time away from our hectic life and we found it here. Great sized room for us with 3 kids. Pool and beach access and not far from the airport. Definitely going back.

Reviewed by: Jean Ann K. recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2015 The condo was large and very clean. The lanai was very private which was very surprising for being on the first floor next to the resorts main entry way. Plenty of dishes, silverware, spices, etc., which came in handy when we did cook. Beds were comfortable for all 5 of us. All loved the pool and hot tubs. Grounds were beautiful. Resort Restaurant food was good but expensive, but so were all the other restaurants on the island. Resort was centrally located, perfect location I fact. We hiked the Napali coast line, saw the Waimea Canyon, Opaekaa Fall, hiked to other waterfall and biked the trail behind the resort along the ocean which was breathtaking.

Reviewed by: Debbie C. recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in March, 2015 The Waipouli Beach Resort was wonderful. Very clean & well maintained. Surpassed our expectations! Looking at booking for next year. We were 2 couples travelling together & the condo was more than big enough. The bed configuration would work for a family or couples. There were 2 bedrooms, one had a king & queen bed in, the other a king. Each had their own full bathroom with soaker tubs & walk in showers. The kitchen was lacking a little in plastic glasses for poolside. It would of been nice to have had beach chairs available in the condo to use, but we were able to rent a couple for $15/week. Overall the resort/ condo was great. Hope to return again soon.

There were 6 in our group and we never felt crowded in the unit we rented D104. Unit is located on the ground floor so it was easy to get to the pool and beach. The resort staff is fantastic. Everyone is very helpful.
Reviewed by: Sonya F. recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in December, 2014 We stayed at Waipouli Beach Resort in December 2014 with our young family. D104 was the perfect choice for us; close to the parking lot on ground level & the extra space was nice with a family our size. The room was super clean, and the kitchen had everything I needed to make meals. Safeway and Foodland in walking distance was very helpful too. Our children, ages 8 through 5 months loved the pool. The young kids area was nice and the slides provided hours of entertainment. They met many friends throughout our stay. The beach at the resort isn't great for kids but Lydgate Park is 5 minutes away by car and it was perfect for the family. Kauai Exclusive Management was very quick in responding to inquiry questions and very professional. They also had a concierge service for us to use! That was helpful in finding activities for our young family. We will be coming back and will definitely book this room again!!!

Reviewed by: Laura M. recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in August, 2014 We stayed at this resort and our condo was just as pictured. We were disappointed in that we had no beach towels, or beach chairs. Talked to the rental agency about this and all they could tell me was that there was no room for them in the condo and they didn't want to be responsible for them. We have stayed at other vrbo condos and have never had a problem with this. It was disappointing to go out and have to rent beach chairs and a umbrella. That is something I do not want to have to do whole on vacation. The condo I'd listed as luxury and it was with a few exceptions. For having a sub-zero refrigerator, it never got anything really cold and the wolf stove top and oven were terrible. They took a long time to get hot. Don't let me get started on the barbecues outside. They barely worked.m I realize that people would rather go out than cook on vacation, and I am one of those persons. However, we were traveling with two great cooks(my daughter and son-in-law) and a toddler and baby so it was easier to cook at the condo. Having said all of this we did have a great time and our granddaughter loved the pool and slides, we couldn't get her out! The concierge was very helpful and it was truly appreciated.

great place to stay and fantastic service from Kauai Exclusive
Daisy B. from Edmondton, Canada recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in April, 2014 D104 was an awesome condo, larger than most and right on the ground floor, perfect for kids to walk right out to the pool and nearby waterfall made it always sound like we were right by the ocean. This was a last minute trip for our family of 6. Kauai Exclusive was able to accommodate our dates when no one else could. We had to move 3 times in the 3 weeks we were there but they did all the moving for us so we never skipped a beat. We liked each of the condos we were in but this was our favourite. We loved Kauai and will be back. Thanks Josh and the KEM team!!!
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in December, 2013 I would like to thank the Kauai Exclusive Management team for a fantastic vacation. I appreciated their 24/7 availability and flexibility in providing a day room to accommodate a late flight. The resort pools and beach were fantastic especially the kids areas,we used them every single day. The resort is also centrally located and makes a great base for exploring both sides of the island connected by only one perimeter highway. The condo, D401 was well maintained and comfortable. We had a mountain view over the strip mall which was still very pretty. The unit had everything we could ever need ranging from top of the line appliances and 2 large separate bedrooms, to those thoughtful details such as a Brita filter in the fridge, laundry soap in the closet or spices & cooking oil in the pantry. If I could change one important detail I would like to see the quality of the mattress in the master bedroom improved. I had to visit the chiropractor & masseuse at the spa as a result of sleeping on such a soft, mushy mattress. Regardless, I would definitely recommend this property and anticipate coming back again with extended family members. Cheers from Canada,
Reviewed by: Cheryl Y. recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in December, 2013 The unit worked perfectly for our family- it was very nicely laid out and large enough for our family of 7. There were a few items in need of repair- kitchen cabinet handles to be secured, dresser drawer front came off, glass door in shower leaked badly, king mattress was sloped to the centre (needs replacement), and freezer door handle came off. We called about the handle and someone came out approx. 36 hours later. The biggest thing that the unit needs is a good upholstery clean on the sofa, chairs, and cushion replacement of outdoor cushions due to mold. The unit really was nice though, just a few maintemance issues to be taken care of considering the cost of the unit. Staff was very helpful, and we received an apology for the missed interim clean. Would stay here again, but would like the above items fixed. It should also be noted that the unit is very quiet for being close to the lobby. We enjoyed our stay.

We were close to the reception, ideal for unloading luggage and groceries. It was quiet, away from the busy pool area, but within sight of it. It overlooked the gardens and the fenced in pool. The beach was beautiful, you could have a peaceful spot on provided beds but ocean was rough and not for young children, safe beaches are within few minutes drive. Location of the resort was ideal for food shopping, restaurants, walks and weekly farm market in Kappaa.Rental car is needed for larger group, for older couple the bus is cheap and fun for exploring if you do not want to drive. The taxi from airport cost us $28.Prefer this resort to big hotels, it was like a home and we had large group dinners, able to use the outdoor lanais.Did the boat ride to Na Pali coast, booked online from resort. All luxuries were provided.Reception very helpful.

The pool was great with lots of variety - my four year old loved the water slides. Having a family friendly hot tub was one of the best perks; allowing myself and myself to warm up without having to get out of the water. I also loved being able to walk out to the ocean from the property and sit on the beach. Having Safeway (24hrs) across the street was a definite benefit as well. The concierge service was super helpful. Sonja gave great advice, booked everything we wanted, and answered all of my questions. Superb service. This room location couldn't have been better, we had easy access to the pool (right there!) and so easy to move in and out, it was also by the parking lot. Kapaa was central to everything! Location-perfect! Halfway btwn North & South ends of the island so any trip is enjoyable. Safeway is right across the street & Safeway card, even from Canada, will work there for discounts. Had to take my daughter to Urgent Care & everyone was so friendly. Doctor there said if we have anymore problems that we could go back there or there are two excellent pediatricians right by the resort located in a one-story white building beside Birkenstock, on left side of street when you head North from resort. Electricity is expensive on Kauai, so we always turned out lights, but when we came home after the cleaning, every light was on & we had to reset every clock as they were all flashing. Dad's room was the one that shared a wall with the lobby. He could hear the staff in the lobby opening and closing the drawers as soon as they started at 7:30am. He was usually up anyways & it wasn't a big issue. I never heard any noise & thought the room was extremely quiet. Only thing in the room that could be improved is the knife set in the butcher block. If there was one good paring knife & one larger knife to cut fruit, meat, etc. that would be great. Before & during the trip, when I had to talk to someone on the phone, they were all great. On our last day there, I went to the Owner's/Management office. The girl in the office was not personable at all. Any question I asked was answered by "yes, no, I don't know". I was the only one in the office for about half an hour & she never spoke to me once, unless I asked a question, & didn't even ask if I was enjoying the resort?? I would hope she was having an off day & that she wasn't like that every day because if she is, she would benefit from some training on customer service. All in all, it was a great vacation & I already have 5 separate families who want to go there now. We will be back & can hardly wait!

The unit we were in was beautiful and spacious. We did not want to leave. I would definitely stay here again and this next time I would spend most of the time at the property and less time sightseeing on Kauai. The pool was very nice and the beach fronting the hotel was gorgeous. The kitchen had granite countertops and top-of-the-line appliances. All the kitchen utensils were there including a coffee maker, waffle iron, baking dishes, good knives, wine glasses, and just everything you would need for every cooking situation. There is a nice ocean front restaurant with reasonable prices. We did not eat there but next time, I would definitely want to try it out. All I all, I was very happy we stayed here and I think it just might be one of the best places to stay on Kauai. On our last day on Kauai, we stayed at a 5 star resort in Poipu. While we were there, we kept commenting on how much better it was at Waipouli Beach Resort. The pools were very similar, but Waipouli was much less crowded and had a much more relaxed atmosphere. It is located just off the lobby, so it isn't a long walk to the car (which is convenient for people who often have to make several trips back there before we drive anywhere). It is also located near the koi pond and the pool. The kids loved to walk over to the pond and watch the fish. They were even able to help feed them in the mornings. The pool was great. I loved the way it was set up... even when there were a lot of people out, you didn't feel like it was crowded because you could still have your own "private" section of the pool. There was also a small "beach area" where the little ones could play in the water. We also had a lot of fun using the water slides. From the beach, you could see the sunrise, which we did several times. You can't really swim at the beach, but there are plenty of swimming beaches located nearby.
