A true log cabin, this beautiful two bedroom luxury cabin offers king size beds, indoor jacuzzi tub and a hot tub on the deck. Play a game of pool or just relax next to the cozy fireplace, this cabin is sure to create memories forever.
Enter on the main level into the great room where there is 20 feet of glass overlooking the wooded valley. With comfortable seating for 5, you can enjoy the fireplace or go up to the loft and play a game of pool. The full kitchen and dining room adjoin the great room where there is seating for 6 including the breakfast bar. A washer / dryer is included for your convenience.
Also on the main level is the master and master bath with king sized bed with upgraded mattress as well as rustic yet luxury furnishings including the true stacked logs as well as the 4x6 ceiling beams.
Upstairs next to the loft pool table area is a full suite with king sized bed and full private bath for privacy. Admire the vaulted ceilings and finish work in this lofted bedroom.
Outside on the wrap around covered deck are a hot tub and gas grill. Flat paved parking can accommodate a motorcycle trailer.

The kids loved the hot tub and the pool table, and used them both every day. The check in and out process was as easy as possible. I would definitely recommend a stay at Elk Springs! |

Please look elsewhere . This will allow us to stay longer and have more choices of cabins at Elk Springs. All jokes aside, we had an amazing experience. It snowed on our last day and our cabin sat near a sloped field (Perfect for sledding). The kids had a blast as well as our dog. No complaints here other than losing electricity on our last day. But we made the best of it. The fireplace and grill still worked and we had a fridge full of beer. We will definitely stay here again and can't wait to come back. All the cabins appear well maintained as well as the property. And yes we wish we stayed longer. Believe the reviews. Other resorts in the area don"t compare. |

Stayed for 3 days in January, 2013 The first night we stayed there was a leak in the upstairs restroom to the downstairs restroom right below we had to call maintenance. They already very quickly and solved the problem. The next day when we came back to the cabin after skiing we saw a hole in the wall in the kitchen/dining area and there were rats coming in and out of this hole. We've stayed here previously and it was great I think maybe this cabin was older so it may have had more problems. Otherwise it was a wonderful stay |

Cleanliness was top notch and we found the cabin to be very comfortable. Located close enough to stores for the essentials, it was also far enough away from the busy sections in the area. There was plenty of hot water for showers etc. (how could there not be....the size of the hot water heater is huge!). All of the appliances were in top working condition. The only issue we had was the internet and phone provider (Comcast) went out on our fourth night and again the following morning. Other than those two short outages the internet was great. Very fast and reliable. We didn't use the hot tub, but did look at it and seemed very clean. We will definitely be coming back for another stay...hopefully we'll be able to stay longer next time. We can't wait to go back. |

The drinking glasses all had chips on the rims but two, also the dinner plates had chips.2. Although, I would not necessarily call it "luxury." Bath towels need to be more plentiful and plush, not your run of the mill cheap hotel towels. The mattresses definitely need replacing, very creaky, and uncomfortable, especially after 6 nights. The bedding also needs regular updating/replacing. One quilt had a tear in it, the pillows were flat from wear, and the mattress pad and pillows were noticeably stained after removing linens. The pictures online are quite misleading. The cabin looked quite a bit bigger and you could not see other cabins, which is most definitely not the case. Lastly, we left an item in the cabin, called the same day about it, and was told it would be a couple days to get with the cleaning crew and then if anything was found they ship out every 2 weeks, not very prompt for "luxury." This was a pet friendly cabin with typical animal wear and tear, but this should not compromise bedding and towels. Overall a nice stay, enjoyed some hiking, relaxing in the hot tub, and good food, but was ready to come home to my nice comfy bed! Needless to say I had high expectations and at the end of our stay was not disappointed at all. The cabin was very nice, the surroundings gorgeous and we loved, loved the location. We also liked that we could walk throughout the property. The only improvement would be that the mattress on the bed downstairs was very uncomfortable and really needs to be replaced and other than that, we have no complaints and we will back. Oh, one more thing, we found Boogertown Rd. very interesting (not so much the night we were lost though, not at all LOL), so interesting that we googled it, very interesting reading about the history of Boogertown/Oldham. |

Mostly clean, however there were some areas that had dust bunnies and the matress pad had urine stains. We washed the matress pad and the stains came out so it is obvious that it just hadnt been washed since the "accident". Overall it was a good stay aside from the few cleaning points needed. I only had a couple complaints regarding the cabin one being the lack of cell service along with no cabin phone and the pull out sofa sleeper's sheet set was covered in pet hair from a previous resident. I would suggest more than one roll of toilet paper per bathroom as a family of 4 staying will go through that in no time. My reservation's went great the second person I spoke with. The first was not very helpful and would not honor an advertised special on your website. After multiple call back and two different quoted prices $100 higher than the special by this person I went to call a third time later in the day to go ahead with the extra expense since we had already planned the vacation. This call I spoke with someone different who not only gave me the discounted rate off the web but the whole process took 10 minutes and we were booked/paid saving $100 from the multiple calls earlier in the day.After I finally recieved the service I expected the first time and arrived at the cabin. I will say it was well worth the snags to get there. I am over all pleased with my stay and will recommend this to others in addition to repeat visits in the future. |

Stayed for 4 days in April, 2011 We are a military family so we have a hard time planning ahead because of my husband's travel schedule. Even harder to plan with dogs, especially a large dog. Elk Springs staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful and they got us into a cabin right away. Even with our 2 dogs. The cabin was amazing and isolated just like wanted (we wanted privacy). But don't worry, it wasn't too far from downtown. About 10 minutes. And extra kudos for having codes instead of keys. I'm always loosing keys or forgetting them so it was very nice not to have to worry about that.Sometimes you can look online and be disappointed with the place when you arrive but you will not with these cabins. Our cabins was big, spotless and the bed very soft. I could see all the other cabins up the road and they are just as beautiful. Our 4 days flew by just way too fast. When we visit again we will stay at a Elk Springs cabin. Hopefully in the in the fall. Thank you for a wonderful stay Elk Springs Staff!- Kay |

Uneven experience. A guest from Sparta, TN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2011 Overall well-maintained and quite clean, except for wads of black dog hair in the corners. Several small and not-so-small problems: broken coffee machine, expired batteries in RC, no hot water during the last evening and morning. One afternoon, the neighbor's hot tub was refilled to overflowing, and gushed water for over an hour. We called housekeeping, maintenance and main office, but only reached answering machines. The location was ideal, near the arts and crafts community and off, but close to, tourist spots. We are so thankful ESR has pet friendly cabins. The location is great. You are close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, but in the same respect far enough away to have peace and quiet. We are already planning our next trip. |

This statement is also coming from a family of neat freaks. Rascal Retreat is very comfortable especially for dog owners. There is an open lot adjacent to the cabin fielded with grass so can walk your dog for bathroom breaks. The cabin is in great condition all items inside in working order. Exterior lighting is very good. (ie, motion sensor) The propertys are also patrolled by on site security at night. Beside being a short drive to downtown Gatlinburg, the fire house and sheriffs office are near by, for the just in cases. The staff was very pleasant. I will stay here again and would recommend to others and families. Thank you Elk Springs. |

I have young children, so they had no way to reach me in an emergency while we were away except to call my cell phone and leave a message and for me to retrieve it once I went into town.
