When travelling to Bologna and looking for a nice, clean, large and very comfortable rental that is close to the center and the train station with all stores, restaurants etc. at a stone’s throw and the Fair District right across the street, then your best bet is Mamma Luisa.
The apartment location is perfect. Several buses stopping at the door will take you to all the major points in town in minutes; the center is walking distance (no more than 12-13 minutes – a little more for the train station) and so are the University, the Teatro Comunale, the Piazzola weekly flea market and, of course, the fairground. The neighborhood is friendly and provides anything you may need, from a large grocery store to many types of shops, a couple of banks with ATM service, several restaurants, trattorias, pizzerias and much more. A large parking lot is only one block away.
Roomy, clean, quiet, full of light, extremely comfortable: these are the key words describing Mamma Luisa, one of the best rentals in Bologna. The apartment is a sixth (and top) floor, with an elevator. It is part of a bulding dating back to the early 1960’s, an age that has been perfectly preserved in the completely original furniture and furnishing Luisa, the owner, has been keeping in mint conditions since, giving her property that particular old-fashioned, familiar flavour all her guests love.
Featuring a nice terrace with a breathtaking view over the city roofs, the historical center with its Medieval towers and the hills in the background, Mamma Luisa can more than comfortably accommodate up to 6 adults and 1 child in about 120 square meters. The apartment is composed by a large hallway leading to the two bedrooms (one with a queen-size bed that can be turned into two singles and a big wardrobe, the other with a queen-size, a wardrobe and a nice terrace overlooking an inner courtyard), a large, excellently furnished dining-sitting room with a very comfortable two-single sofabed, a roomy kitchen with its own functional kitchenette – all tools provided – and a spotless bathroom with a tub and a shower.
Plenty of space, comfort, convenience to all spots in town and a great atmosphere. We look forward to having you over!
