Iron county Wisconsin is well known for it's exceptional snowmobiling, as well as catering to ATV enthusiasts. You can leave right from the cabin on your machines and get on the trail system.
VonSeda’s Island Lake Lodge is between Hurley and Mercer, Wisconsin. There are 3 ski hills a short drive away, as well as cross country ski trails. Visit the shores of Lake Superior, charter fishing trips at Saxon Harbor, Little Girl's point or make a stop at the casino. The cabin is located just an hour from downtown Minocqua, 1 hr from Ashland or a 1.5 hr trip to Eagle River.
Wildlife is abundant throughout the various seasons. Bring your camera & binoculars as you can often see loons, ducks, geese, eagles with an active nest, swans, cranes, hummingbirds and many other bird species. You may also see deer, bear, coyote, wolves, bobcat, moose, otter, turtles, and other animals in their natural habitat.
