About the Home
Location, location, location! This comfortable Gables vacation home nestled between Whistler Village and Blackcomb Mountain is a two level, two bedroom, one bathroom spacious suite and is only a five minute walk to the base of either mountain.

Living Areas
The entrance hallway leads to the open concept main level that features a fully equipped kitchen overlooking the dining area that comfortably seats 6. The living room features a flat screen TV, DVD player and river rock-faced presto log fireplace and access to a private deck with tree-lined views of the spectacular glacier-fed Fitzsimmons Creek.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms
The two bedrooms are located on the upper level. The master bedroom features a queen bed and a TV with DVD player and is open to the living room below. The second bedroom features a queen bed and large closet. The separate bathroom on this level features a single vanity and a bathtub with overhead shower.

Gables 45 features complimentary secure underground parking for one vehicle, in-suite laundry and wireless internet access. There is a bike rack in the underground garage but guests will need to supply their own bike lock.

Prior to renting, I read the reviews and thought we would have a great place but realistically it is average if not below compared to other Whistler properties that I have stayed at. The location is great as you feel like you are in the forest away from the village. The rooms are large but flawed. One room is above the living room and is not closed off (next to the fireplace) so noise really travels. The same room has a very large window that does not have a curtain so it gets bright in the morning. The other room has a single paned window that feels like it is open and creates a damp feel. Unfortunately my husband caught a cold from sleeping by that window. The whole place is mostly carpeted. In heavy traffic areas, it is soiled. You will also expect all appliances circa 1980. All of them work reasonably well. If you are planning on cooking, I suggest that bring your own knives as the ones there are really dull. The unit does not have a BBQ. The management company was excellent and very responsive.

Had a great few days at Whistler in this Gables condo. Couldn't ask for a much better location with access to both mountain bases in less than a 5 min walk. Condo was comfy and well equipped. Can't wait to come back!

The gables was a great place for our whistler stay. It is located between both blackcomb and the village, which makes it so easy for lift access and close to shops and restaurants. It's right in the centre, but you don't feel like you are in a town at all as the trees surround the property giving great privacy and quiet. The apartment itself was cosy, perfect amount off space for us, I could have definitely settled in there for the rest of winter. I'll be back for sure, both of us enjoyed outer stay immensely, thank you!

Gables #45 was a great place to stay. We felt secluded, yet was only a short 5 minute walk to the village/lifts. We were very comfortable in the condo, overall it was a great stay!

It is a great appartment in a nice location. The appartment was clean and has everything you need. Yes the appliances (washer and dryer) are dated, but they are in great shape and work perfectly. Free parking, free internet, washer and dryer in the appartment. We would love to come back!

Stayed in this condo during Summer in July, close enough to the village and lifts to access everything but just far enough out that we werent kept awake a night by the young partiers as had happened to us at other places. Everything was clean, in good condition and reasonably spacious, however the upstairs bedrooms did get quite stuffy & hot at night though on the warmer days and some openable windows or air con would definately have made sleeping a littler more pleasant. Despite that we would definately consider staying here again when we return to whistler.

Convenient, comfortable apartment. There were only 2 small saucepans provided, apart from frying pans, insufficient to cook pasta for example. Platinum promptly provided a (very) large saucepan and a knife sharpener when requested. It would be better to have a cafetiere if coffee filters are not provided with the machine (as they weren't so I gave up on coffee after making it in a strainer. It's awkward to have to buy items in small quantities for a short stay.

Great location, quiet easily accessed. Mattress in 2nd bdrm sleeps like a board. Kitchen had adequate cooking utensils and dishes though toaster was subpar. All in all a good five day vacation setting.

lokcation was good, beds were good, but bedlinnen was to small, so kept coming loose while sleeping. There were only 4 knives. no big pots or pans to cook/boil/prepare dinner for a family of five in. Just some small pans and 2 fry pans. Probably would rearrange kitchen to create better use of counter space. (swich coffeemachine with microwave). Location to village and skilifts was very good.

Generally the location and condo were O.K. The view was stunning on a quiet area.I have just 2 comments:1. Nobody said us that we have to climb upstairs all the luggages without an elevator.2. We were your guest for 7 nights and we had just 3 fire woods. After we called the reception they told us that if we want more firewood we have to buy it. Its not normal. We paid for 7 nights , we should had at least 7 fire woods or maybe none. If you offer a fire place on your condo, let us know if we have to bring our firewood!

I got a cut foot from a piece of glass that was on the kitchen floor (probably from a former occupant.) The beige carpets are in need of a good cleaning, the toaster could better serve visitors if it toasted more than 2 pieces. Suggest that a 4 slice machine be there instead. Otherwise everyone was fabulously helpful and accommodating.I would reccomend to stay there again with the changes.Thanks for the experience!! Tw
