Sunset Hill #1 is Pretty Cool

Stayed for 14 days in March, 2013
I rented Sunset Hill, Unit #1 from RPM in March & April 2013. The girls in the RPM office were wonderful, and so helpful! They gave me a hand drawn map to show the taxi driver so he could find the condo. I wanted to be close to Witch's Rock Surf Camp, and from Sunset Hill, it's a 5 minute walk down the hill to Witch's Rock. However, every evening I had to walk back up the hill. The dirt road is well lighted so I felt safe. But the last 200 yards of the walk is a pretty steep climb, and quite a work-out! I got pretty sweaty hiking back to the condo, and really looked forward to a cool shower each night. If you're not in shape, you might want to take a taxi back up the hill. One good thing about the location, if there ever were a tsunami, you'd be out of harm's way being up high, away from the beach. From this unit, the view of the ocean is mostly blocked by the trees of a protected green space directly in front of the condo. Second and third floors have a better view, but then they don't have the easy access to the pool that I had--just a few steps right off my patio. That was cool. I had breakfast on the patio several times--just wonderful in the cool of the morning. In the afternoon, it would be too hot to sit out there in the direct sun. Only the bedroom is air conditioned. At night I could open windows and sliding door and with a breeze coming through, it was bearable for watching a little TV. But on several hot & humid nights, I wished the living room was also air conditioned. Rosa the housekeeping lady was wonderful. She did my laundry several times during my 2-week stay. I left her a nice tip. She was great! I had to move the microwave from its shelf, to the dining table to plug it in and use it. There's no outlet for it near the shelf where it is stored. That seemed kind of odd, but I managed. The microwave wasn't that heavy. Overall, my stay at Sunset Hill #1 was pleasant, and I recom
