Magical! Brenda S. from Sacramento, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 The "cowboy" was absolutely magical. The house was charming, comfortable, and wonderfully decorated. It was quiet and peaceful, which is just what we were looking for. Everything we needed was provided.I might suggest that you invest in a new set of cookware. The Teflon pans are quite worn. Other than that, I would say it was just perfect. Thank you for making our vacation so memorable. |

Old Santa Fe Charm With a Storied Past Cristopher N. from HOuston, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2012 Having only vacationed in Santa Fe once before, I got a wild hair to celebrate my birthday there ... in January, no less. My mother was game, so I decided that it would be nice to rent a house instead of stay in a hotel. I searched the web and came upon Kokopelli's website and a particularly charming casita they offer, Cowboy On The Acequia. The casita is every bit as charming, if not more so, as the photos on their website. The house is located in the charming neighborhood above art gallery strewn Canyon Rd, which can be accessed by foot in less than five minutes. The house must be quite old and retains the charm of its original design without forfeiting the comforts of a modern home. In one of the bedrooms is a framed tribute to Lynne Riggs, the playwright who authored "Green Grows the Lilacs" in the 1930's, which later became known as the musical "Oklahoma", who lived in the casita from 1930 - 1938.The plaster walls are so beautiful I want to replicate them in my own home! Special care and attention to detail went into furnishing and decorating the casita to provide a genuine Santa Fean experience. The interiors are cozy and spacious enough to accommodate four adults comfortably. Though, due to the cold weather, we did not utilize the beautiful shaded veranda, the yard is also spacious and attractive. On cold nights, or mornings, you can light a wood fire in any one of the three kivas in the house. Did I comment on how cozy this house is?!My mother and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cowboy On The Acequia. I look forward to returning there again soon! Property Manager Response: Response from Kokopelli Property Management Hi Cristopher,Thank you for your comments. We are so happy that you and your mother had such a great time in this great home and in Santa Fe. We look forward to your next visit and call us any time! |

Quintessential Santa Fe Mike D. from Dallas, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2011 The casita is spacious and well laid out for two couples. There is certainly no shortage of decor...virtually every surface reminds you that you are in Santa Fe. Interesting piecing together the history of the house from the previous guest comments and memorabilia in the front bedroom. Commenting on the key points to a good stay. The beds are comfy and we loved the linens. The location is perfect. The neighborhood is quiet. Minor quibble - why conditioner and not shampoo? When not sight seeing, we enjoyed time on the back patio. Perhaps the property is in between gardeners? The flower beds would benefit from some general upkeep and there is a large dead tree in the middle of the yard. We were also curious why the side courtyard had been completely neglected. |

Privacy and Serenity on Acequia Madre A guest from Mount Tabor, NJ recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2011 The most helpful member of the team was the caretaker, who went far out of his way, traveling to RadioShack and returning to correct a problem with the sound system. For the negatives, Cowboy On The Acequia was noticeably lacking in drinking glassware, wireless internet was not working, and the sound system was in disrepair. Beyond these missing amenities, this home is extremely private, charming, cozy and comfortable with a wonderfully relaxing back yard and garden. |

A Great Stay Reviewed by: Laura N. recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2010 Loved the home -- a southwest disneyland for adults! Only wish an introduction to the home would have been provided: where the amenities are, when best to contact maintenance, what about housekeeping? Lots of questions to which the answers should have been provided - in person - up front. |

Great House with Great Location Ryan H. from Bixby, OK recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in March, 2010 House located a block off canyon road near all of the great galleries. Nice yard with outdoor fireplace. Outdoor grill and washer/dryer. Kitchen is nicely equipped. Firewood supplied on site. Parking is limited and can be messy if wet weather is present. Perfect for 2 couples or a family with kids. Walk to nearby Downtown Subscription coffee shop (2 blocks down and right on Garcia) and just 10 minutes to the plaza. Try Kakawa just down the road if you like chocolate. Try Maria's for margaritas and a lunch or dinner trip to rancho de chimayo is well worth the drive. breakfast at Pasqual's and pizza from Upper Crust (they deliver). |
