Strolling is enjoyed at a pinnacle level, as the residence is within minutes of the City Different's historic Plaza, as well as the Guadalupe district known as the Railyard. Museums, galleries, churches abound in the old town, including numerous privately-owned shops to be discovered. Restaurants in the downtown district range from fine dining to family style ? and you can find any type of cuisine to suit your palate for the day.
This is a wonderful, quiet and comfortable two-bedroom, two-bath townhome, which is tastefully decorated in traditional Santa Fe style. The residence features open-air areas, and vaulted living room ceiling. The home is comfortably cooled with central refrigerated air and features a cozy wood-burning fireplace in the living room, in addition to central heat.
The main public area offers a 31-inch flat-screen television with cable, a DVD player, printer/fax machine. There's a well-appointed kitchen with all appliances needed for complete meals during your stay. A pass-through bar offers seating for at least four guests. Both bedrooms provide sleeping accommodations for four with ceiling fans. The Master bathroom flows from the main bedroom, completely separated from the other bed and full bath in the home. The second bed and full bath has two twin beds for family/friend swith plenty of closet space.
After spending the day exploring Santa Fe, relax in the home's outside courtyard with seating for four. There's a completely fenced and private yard; please note a small dog is welcome. Santa Fe Condo rental Michael B. from West Vancouver, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in June, 2013 Our vacation rental was a great choice for location and general comfort.I do HIGHLY recommend that the living room furniture be replaced. The condo is for up to four adults but only two adults can sit in moderate comfort in the living room. I suggest to replace the couch and add two soft lounge chairs. Current furniture in the living room is very uncomfortable. I would cetainly stay again.Michael |

Great Location But Needs New Mattresses A guest from Ocean View, DE recommends this property. Stayed for 30 days in October, 2012 We stayed at Southwest at the Railyard for 4 weeks while we secured permanent housing in Santa Fe. The location is great: quiet, wonderful neighbors, and walking distance to the Railyard and the Plaza. We loved the kiva, the spacious kitchen, and the outdoor space. However, I wish we would have been reminded this was a pet-friendly rental, as the rugs that decorate the unit need quite a deep-cleaning. We ended up rolling up all of the rugs to avoid the inevitable pet-hair that ended up on our clothing. Additionally, the mattress in the master bedroom is HORRIBLE, to the point where I considered buying my own mattress padding for it because a good night's sleep was not to be had in that bed. Kokopelli Property Management did a fantastic job, and our mid-stay cleaning was very thorough. I would recommend Southwest at the Railyard to a friend, but I would provide a warning about the beds! |

Brief getaway in Santa Fe A guest from Boulder, CO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2012 Southwest at the Railyard is a comfortably furnished home to stay in while visiting Santa Fe. The location is great and within short walking distance of the plaza. However, having seasonal allergies and specifically an allergy to cats, the cleanliness of the home left something to be desired. There was noticeable cat hair on furniture and the closets were quite dirty. It caused me substantial allergy difficulties as a result of the lack of thorough cleanliness. We would have just opened the windows at night to get fresh air but several lacked screens. Also, the back patio was not welcoming due to it being rather dirty and poorly kept. The ceiling fan in main bedroom was quite off balance and so very noisy at higher speed. Mostly just wish we had known that cats were allowed at the home and so would not have stayed there. The location was great though. |

This condo is in need of updating and TLC. Definitely an older place, bathrooms are very small and a bit grungy. Kitchen appliances are at least 10 years old. Noticed torn bedskirts and pillowcases. Some of the towels were stained. There were cobwebs covering the "cow skull" on the mantel. 3 of the 4 kitchen lights were burnt out. The blower on the AC was deafening; sounds like a semi-truck engine. The bed in the room where my elderly mother stayed was full of cat hair; had to wash the bedding. Found what looked like cat litter all over the floor of the master bedroom closet. Overall, we were disappointed in this place and it would be cruel to recommend it to friends and family. |

We had no problem getting or dropping off the keys, and very much enjoyed our stay. My only drawback with Sante Fe as a whole was the parking situation. The house is almost too far to walk to the square if you're tired, so plan ahead on knowing where to park and manuever your car when you get there. Comfort and location - can't be beat! A guest from Odessa, Texas recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2011 We stayed here the week of Thanksgiving 2011. So easy to walk to the Plaza and all the shops & restaurants from this location. We love Santa Fe and would definitely stay at this little condo again.What a great kitchen! Stocked with everything needed in case I wanted to cook a meal - which I did! Cooked our Thanksgiving dinner, including grilled Cornish Game Hens - yummy! The stove needed some service, but we left word about this with the management team so it should get taken care of.The master bath is quite tiny with only a shower, but we didn't mind it. Plenty of closet space and a big dresser. We loved the fireplace and the fact that there was wood provided for that.Hi-Speed Wi Fi Internet was great. Hope they'll upgrade the DVD player before our next trip though - this one was pretty old and the remote didn't work very well. When we got there, it wasn't even connected to the TV! But their guy came out and connected it up the next morning. It was easy enough to connect our laptop to the HDMI cable from the Direct TV box and watch our DVD's or streaming from the internet.Beds were comfy - not really room here for a king bed, but if you don't mind a queen it's okay. Our little girl was very comfy in her room - lots of space.Parking our big SUV was a trick - but we were able to handle it without too much trouble. You just need to know that there's not much parking here.If you stay in this condo, make sure all the vents are open. We froze the first night! Most of the vents were closed. We kept setting the temp higher on the thermostat and nothing seemed to help. Finally found that the big vent in the living room was closed and no heat was getting out. Once that was opened, we were quite comfy.Anyway, I've rambled a lot here just noting several details, but we liked staying here fine and would definitely use this condo or any other condo managed by Kokopelli. They seem to have a good thing going! |

Stayed for 5 days in June, 2010 We were staying here after a fire in our house in Santa Fe, so it was not like vacationing when you are not home as much as we were. The rugs that were laid on top of their carpet were very irritating since they continually bunched up and were basically a tripping hazard. The tub in the first bathroom leaked. There were no cleaning chemicals to clean the table outside or anything else except dishes.On the bright side the location was great. The air conditioning was great. We really appreciated that they allowed us to have our dogs with us.
