Located in the northern, prestigious section of Santa Fe, you'll discover the stunningly decorated and well-appointed Bishops Lodge Villa. Although feeling as if you're a worlds away, you'll find this private residence is a stone's throw from the unique village of Tesuque and the Santa Fe Opera house. Cowboy Villa is also close to red rocks and the infamous Sangre de Cristo mountains, with sweeping panoramic views over the Rio Grande Valley. While being one of Bishop's Lodge Villas, the accommodations include use of the community swimming pool and hot tub facilities.
Note: the pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day; the private home is central station alarmed, and includes a security gate at the entrance to the villas.
Within the home for your relaxing pleasure, the beautiful wood-burning fireplace is the center of attention in its well-appointed living room. For your relation and enjoyment: the living area provides a flat screen television with cable complete with Surround Sound, DVD and CD player, and includes wi-fi access. Leading from the living room, is a lovely outside patio ? perfect for a barbecue or simply relaxing in the sun. The patio wraps around the residence with side courtyards, including a back patio off of the Master suite.
On the other side of the open living area, you'll find a separate dining room that seats a minimum of six, in addition to 3 other guests at a pass-through bar to the large kitchen area. The cocina comes equipped with a large granite-top and stainless-steel kitchen appliances, perfect for those meal celebrations with friends/family.
Two suites: one with a king and the other a queen, each with a private bathroom, affords great privacy. The charming Master bedroom comes with a sculptured kiva fireplace, king size bed, and velvety-soft sofa for two, which leads put to a private patio. Enjoy dual sinks, a jacuzzi tub in the Master bathroom, or walk-in glass shower with seating area. The guest bedroom also comes with its own kiva wood-burning fireplace, overstuffed lounger, and large windows leading out to a patio area, for your viewing pleasure.

First disappointing stay in Santa Fe A guest from Colorado Springs, CO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2013 While we enjoyed our trip to Santa Fe, it had nothing to do with the property. There were no firestarters or matches to start the lovely fireplaces. We called on this and it wasn't address until the next day. Kind of a big deal in the snowy winter. We tried four times to make the coffee machine work (we bought special coffee beans to grind for our trip) and, despite what the property manager told us, it did not work. So we left early every day to have coffee elsewhere. The sidewalks were never treated and the ice was treacherous on the way to the condo. The drain in our shower was very slow and filled up the bathtub halfway every time we used it. Our bed, (the queen) sank in the middle. Surprising for such a pretty property. While it was beautifully decorated, it was not functional and, therefore, a big disappointment. We could have spent lots of time on the phone asking for issues to be addressed but we shouldn't have to do that. We had plans and chose not to address every single issue; some of which I havent mentioned here. There are too many great places to stay in Santa Fe for us to settle for this property again. I felt strongly that management made an effort to appear concerned, but in the end, that was not the case. We will not be going back. |

OCTOBER STAY AT COWBOY VILLA A guest from wixite praine, NY does not recommend this property. Stayed for 8 days in October, 2011 Helaine and I love Santa Fe but were underwhelmed by the Cowboy Villa. To start with, There is no convenient way to move in. We had a lot of bags and other items, food, a copier, etc. The only entrance was a narrow walkway with stairs - not move in/move out friendly. We were unprepared for the security alarm when it went off. We called and no one at Kokopelli knew how to get the security alarm code. We never did find that code. The views were not as advertised. There was only one windew that had any view at all. The livingroom TV was fine, but the bedroom TV's had far too limited channel selection. The walkway described earlier had lights for night entrance & exit from the house, but they never worked. We needed a flashlight to get from the house to the car and back.Beautiful towels and washcloths were hung in the bathrooms, but we were told not to use them. They were for decoration only for when people went to see the property. They should not be there when the property is rented. Whoever cleans the place did do a wonderful job, but no one left instructions as to what to do with the Garbage. There was a trash canin the back of the building, but we were told not to use it. Cowboy Villa is a nice place to stay with great views, however if you choose to stay in the winter I recommend you rent a four w Cindy B. from Waxahachie, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2010 Although we enjoyed our stay at Cowboy Villa we unhappy with the management's lack of concern that the guest bedroom door would not lock and the lights on the steps going from the parking lot to the villa were burned out. We called and was told these things would be fixed but no one ever took care of them the four days we stayed there. Although there was an alarm system we used, we were uncomfortable leaving the villa with an unlocked door. We also called upon our arrival to say the skull photographed over the fireplace on your website was missing and wondered if it had anything to do with the unlocked doors? We were also very dissapointed in the way the villa seems to advertise the Bishops Lodge restaurant menus and even has instructions in the villa to not leave "room service" trays outside and yet when we called the lodge they told us our villa was not part of their rental properties and would not deliver food or accomodate us in the way other villas around us were taken care of. We had to beg them to drive us down the mountain to get our car after we were unable to drive up the mountain because the snow and ice made the road too hazardous to drive. |
