Wonderful Mountain Hideaway
A guest from Archdale, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2016 We had a great experience with our rental. Booking process was very smooth. Staff was extremely helpful, even recommending great places to eat. Cabin was clean, neat & just what we expected. Master bath is amazing with huge jetted shower & tub. Beautiful views of the mountains from both decks. We had a great week & would definitely recommend this cabin.

A guest from Bernard, IA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2015 Nice clean cabin. Pictures of location were different than the actual location. They directions we received misspelled a road and we ended up in the wrong location and had to turn around for 45 mins.
Ryan M. from Moncks Corner, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2015 So clean and cozy!

A guest from Manheim, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2015 We rented Mountain Hideaway for two nights as a 25th wedding anniversary gift from our children. Upon arrival we found the cabin/property to exceed our expectations. The attention to details was impressive, especially those for privacy and comfort. The amenities were numerous and almost more than we could take advantage of during our short stay. The only complaint we have is that the view of the Smoky Mountains from the second story porch is impeded by several trees. That being said, it's a trade off because those trees also extend a certain amount of privacy and coziness. Overall, we were very impressed with this cabin, and have already recommended it to several of our friends and family. In addition, we are considering renting a larger cabin from Elk Springs Resort Rentals to bring our family along for a vacation.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals What a great treat for your anniversary Jeff! We certainly are pleased that your stay exceeded your expectations. Customer satisfaction is very important to us and we do our best to make our cabins a home away from home for you to enjoy. We do have several other luxury cabins located in Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg for you to consider on your return visit. I would encourage you to check out our website to see the photos and amenities available for you and your extended family to enjoy on your return visit.
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2015 Nice, secluded cabin. Beautiful outdoors & setting.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thank you Kyle! The name says it all! Mtn. Hideaway provides the quiet, secluded setting to enjoy a relaxing cabin getaway. On your next visit, consider bringing the whole family along and upgrade to a larger cabin. We have many to choose from including some with their very own swimming pools right inside the cabin!
A guest from Orlando, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2015 We stayed there for our 45th wedding anniversary. One of our best anniversaries ever! Everything was perfect. The cabin is perfect for 2 people, high enough in the mountain to get some views but very accessible from the main road. The cabin is immaculate, all the furnishings are first class. We hope to some day come again to enjoy the fall leaves.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thank you Raymond! We are pleased that you were able to enjoy your special anniversary with us! The views in the fall are simply amazing. We hope you do come back to enjoy the scenery then.
Lisa E. from Slidell, Louisiana recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2015 I was staying at Urban Cowboy and didn't want to leave on my departure date, so I moved to Mountain Hideaway. Such a great cabin! The views were unbelievable and the inside of the cabin was cozy! Loved it and I can't wait to return!
Tony V. from Richmond, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2015 Wonderful all the way around. The cabin was definitely worth it and made our first Smokey Mountain experience even better. Views were great but were slightly obstructed by tree growth not seen in pictures.
Andrea S. from Kingwood, Texas recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2015 Great week of hiking. Loved the privacy of the cabin and the accomodations were great. We used the grill as well as the hot tub several times. Everything was very nice and clean and ready for our arrival.
A guest from lees summit, missouri recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2015 Our stay was great for what we were looking for. This Cabin is the 1st on the street, which is nice in that you only have one neighboring cabin. We knew we would not be in the cabin much so we were not to worried about where it was in relation to the others. We did have some ants that ended up around the master bath sink. This was not a big deal and is not a surprise when you are surrounded by trees and nature. The grill worked nice for saving some money from eating out all of the time. View is decent, (what you see in the picture). The pictures do not show how close the cabin next door is (15ft) but again that was not a big deal for us. You are about 15 min from Gatlinburg strip, 10 min from a food mart, and 20-25 min from Pigeon forge strip. Overall I would recommend this cabin and go again. One suggestion if location matters to you is google earth this cabin and check out the street view.
Laura B. from Brookhaven, MS recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in May, 2015 This cabin is cozy and perfect-away from it all. The view from the porch is beautiful and you can hear the rushing water from the creek right down the hill. It's just right for 2. The amenities are plentiful. We especially enjoyed the Jacuzzi on the porch at night. A wonderful stay--we did not want to leave!
Ashleigh O. from Nashville, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2015 The cabin pictures were true to the experience. I did wish that the cabin was further up the mountain but the amenities were great in the cabin. I lived the bathroom, with the jacuzzi and the large walk in shower the porch swings werbalconies the upper level was more if a view than the lower but the lower was mite secluded and private so the best of both worlds. We got good rest and enjoyed both balconies. It was quiet and clean but most of all relaxing. I've stayed with Elk Springs Resorts multiple times and they always are great to work with and stay with.
A guest from Atlanta, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2015 Our first honeymoon cabin (through a different company) was literally breaking down when we arrived, so we were OVERJOYED to book Mountain Hideaway at the last minute! Experience was perfect from our first phone call to leaving. Everything you could ask for with hot tub, walk in shower (yes, walk in shower!), super comfortable bed, beautiful view, even the "little things" like convenient lights and electric outlets. FOUR FIREPLACES! Clean, beautiful, high end, cozy. Outside of town enough to really feel in the mountains, but close enough to enjoy Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge easily. We loved our stay and hope to keep coming back!!
A guest from Mishawaka, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2015 Always have a great time in Gatlinburg, a little disappointed with cabin, view was not as pictured, not very far up mountain, was not a full size pool table
Enrique V. from Hilton Head Island, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2015 This lovely cabin is a getaway for relaxation, meditation or simply to rest, this stress free environment, and the close contact with nature gave us a peaceful feeling. My wife and i share great moments in this place, visited many attractions, restaurants, and explore the vicinity ; for sure you will find something amazing to do. We strongly recommend this cabin for a vacation alone or with your family.
Carl B. from Metairie, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in February, 2015 I am hesitant to share our experience because we would rather keep this place a secret. Ultimately we decided it would not be fair to the cabins owners and Elk Springs management if we did not praise them for a job well done. Our recent stay with Elk Springs (Mountain Hideaway) was some of the best money I have spent on lodging in the Smokies in the 17 years we have been coming up there. We go at least once a year and I would not hesitate to book again...and we will! If I had to pick on anything at all it would be a minor issue with the air flow controls on the outdoor hot tub. Which by the way we went in each night including the night when the wind chill was about 10 below zero. Great value and very clean, cozy and well layed out cabin. Perfect for a couple. It snowed 3 of the 4 night we were there and the temps never climbed above 28 degrees the entire time. We met the owner of our cabin who plowed the private roads of our mountain daily. Come to find out they used to live in the same city we are from.....small world!
Audrey T. from Mount Washington, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in November, 2014 Great cabin with beautiful views. 15-20 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. 2 complaints: The cabin could use a humidifier for the cold dry months. Also the whirlpool tub had black stuff coming out of the jets after using it. Otherwise we had a lovely stay.
Sara G. from Moseley, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2014 We enjoyed our Mountain Getaway cabin and all its amenities. We are hikers and so we loved Cades Cove, Abrams Falls, etc. It was awesome to come back to a jacuzzi, sauna and fireplaces in our cabin. The downfilled mattress and large TVs and DVD players made for a romantic and cozy honeymoon. We will definitely return again in the future!
A guest from Floyds Knobs, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2014 We loved the property. It appeared almost new. Everything was very clean, great accomodations, and professional staff.
Nancy T. from Marion, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2014 It from was great from the beginning, it all started from our first look at the place on your website to our staying at the cabin in Gatlinburg, thanks so much for making our 26th anniversary so great!
Sharon S. from Blissfield, Michigan recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2014 This is our third time booking with Elk Springs. Just an amazing company. This cabin was very clean and has all the amenities of home. The view of the mountains was spectacular. Thanks again for a beautiful vacation. Sharon
Jennifer B. from concord, North Caroina recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2014 Our stay was awesome and the cabin was just as amazing as the first time we rented it in 2011. This was our 3rd stay with Elk Springs and we'll continue to come time after time.
A guest from O Fallon, Missouri recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2014 This was our first visit to the area. The cabin exceeded our expectations. It was very Clean, in a good location, and had all of the amenities we needed. We will be back again!
A guest from Jonesboro, AR does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2014 First of all, the view of the cabin was different from the pictures they have in their website. I almost could not see the mountain from the balacony because of the trees. When i called them and told them that, they said that the pictures were taken one year ago and the trees have grown up fastly during this year, unblievable. Another thing is that they charge me $121 for kitchen damage and extra cleaning fee. They said that you scratch the pan and the pot although i did not do that. The stupied thing that they said that you scratched them intentionaly. Although i have already paid damage insurance and cleaning fee, but they charged me. The administartion of the Elk Springs Resort is not professional at all. They charged me without even hear from my side. They deceive me twice, first when they gave me a different view and second when they did not ask the insurance company to pay for the damage that i did not do.
A guest from Waxhaw, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2014 My husband and I don't get to getawy just us very often, so we were so happy when we saw the cabin and it was just as pictured on the website! The cabin was perfect for a couple's weekend away. The cabins are closer together than you would expect, but once inside and out on the deck's you can't even tell that you have neighbors. The hottub was amazing first thing in the crisp morning. We would definitely come back!!
Jonathan H. from Troy, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2014 The Mountain Hideaway was a super clean, nicely decorated cabin with all the amenities. The owners thought of everything when it comes to kitchen supplies, toiletries, and decorations. There is a nice grocery store about 8 or 9 miles down the road, and we enjoyed being away from the crazy downtown areas of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We highly recommend the Wild Plum Tea Room in the Arts and Crafts district for lunch, and definitely staying in one of these cabins from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals.
A guest from Cleveland, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2014 Fantastic cabin and we loved the "away from town" location; yet still close enough. Extremely clean and wonderful amenities. Our only minor disapointment was the "non-fire" fireplaces in the cabin. We will definitely go back to this cabin. And we loved the way the check-in and check-out system worked, not having to go by an office to get your key or go back by on your departure was extremely convenient and time saving. We loved it!
A guest from New Orleans, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2014 We left the city during Mardi Gras busy season and enjoyed a very relaxing beautiful stay in the mountains. It snowed one day and that was great for us to experience. Road conditions were back fine the next day. Mountain Hideaway was just what we needed. Thanks
Amanda D. from Jasper, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2013 Total package. If you are looking to relax and enjoy the view, this is the place for you. I will definitely be back!
A guest from Little Elm, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in December, 2013 We really enjoyed our stay and would do it again. However, it would have been nice if the scenic view we looked at online exactly matched the actual scenic view we experienced instead of being similar to other units.
Megan H. from Lafayette, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2013 When we arrived at our cabin, I was so angry..I cried. The pictures of the view are not the view you will receive at this cabin. All you see from the bottom level (hot tub, swing, sauna) is trees and the road. The top level has a view of the mountain on one third of it, but nothing like the much cheaper and much closer to town cabins we have rented. (About a 20 minute drive that lands you back into Gatlinburg-impossible to get there faster bc of the slow speed posted, turns, and construction.) The view may not be a big deal to some people, but I rented this for 4 days for the view and amenities. We were close to the other cabins, but this one is the first one you come to so only has a cabin on one side, and they've made it private. The amenities were perfect, staff was helpful and arrived within seconds when we needed them. No complaints at all on the staff or amenities of the cabin. It was very very relaxing, clean, and even decorated for Christmas. We will only use this company in the future because they have very beautiful luxury cabins. We wrote down the cabins with true uninstructed views and will just choose those instead. Someone wrote in the guest book that tree tops is just like this one (haven't confirmed) and she is true about it having a better view because it's the last one on the road up the mountain. Please don't go with a different company, none compare...just be cautious on if you're getting he view shown. My comment is a little negative, but I have to give the full truth. I wish someone else would have too!
Stacie H. from Jacksonville, Florida recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2013 My husband and I could not have been happier with our stay in Mountain Hideaway! It was the perfect place for our honeymoon! Gorgeous view, great location, and just so relaxing! We will definitely be going back!
Amanda J. from KANKAKEE, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2013 This cabin was amazing. Super clean, came with everything you need, quiet, beahtiful. This cabin had the most comfortable bed and an amazing master bath
A guest from Charleston, WV recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2013 We stayed at Mountain Hideaway for 5 nights and enjoyed it a lot. It is a luxury cabin for sure with all of it's amenities. Overall it was very clean but the top of the fridge could use some dusting. The champagne glasses were not cleaned after use and I would suggest a different detergent for the washer. The towels smelled kind of bad when they got wet. The pots and pans are ok for use but not to cook a large breakfast or dinner. Some of the cook ware, the fring pan in particular, should be replaced. I wanted to take the couch home with me and the bed is one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The bathroom is fantastic although it takes some patience to figure out how to work the settings in the shower properly. The TV and surround system were great after I changed the sound settings to match the room. Another suggestion I have would be to cut back the trees in front of the property a bit so it alows for more of that gorgious view which is somewhat constricted at the moment. The drive to Gatlinburg from the cabin was about 20 minutes which was fine for us. We only visited Pigeon Forge once which was quite a long drive if we didn't stop in Gatlinburg for some pancakes first. All in all we had a great time with some very minor complaints which really did not do anything to hamper the enjoyment of our stay. We were able to forget about our day to day responsibilities for 5 nights and arrived home relaxed from our trip and satisfied with our decision to stay at Mountain Hideaway.
Dave H. from Hillsboro, Tennessee recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2013 It was exactly what we wanted. It was a nice, quiet, cozy place to spend our honeymoon. It was close enough to town, but far enough away to relax. We loved the hot tub, and my wife loved the shower. The mood lighting was cool in every room. The bed was huge and comfortable. The only complaint was we couldn't stay longer. We were both upset to have to go back to 'reality.' We will definitely book with you again!
Luke G. from Baton Rouge, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2013 My wife and I recently stayed in Mountain Hideaway for our first anniversary trip. We couldn't have asked for a better cabin. The place was spotless when we got there. It was easy to find (a little further out of town than most) and very comfortable with a great view. We will stay with Elk Springs Resort on all future vacations to Gatlinburg.
A guest from Columbia, MD does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2013 FIrst, the full bath in this cabin is the best I have ever seen. It was perfectly laid out. The bed was extremely comfortable. But if you had to do laundry or use the closet, you would have to slide by the bed to get to both. Once you opened the doors to the closet, you have to be careful not to take out the nightstand and don't forget to turn on the light! Its on the outside of the closet, at furthest point on the wall, so its a bit tricky to reach. The stairways were very spacious. The living room was nice but lacked comfort. It has a leather couch and a small coffee table and a chair made out of twigs? Of course the TV was great. The half bath conveniently located nearby. The kitchen was well cleaned, spotless really. Lots of empty shelves, limited kitchen textiles. And the smallest pub table ever. An with every Smoky Mountain cabin, you get the infamous pool table. We never used it. The balcony was nice of course. The really nice perk this time was the alarm system. This cabin has one which made us feel more secure. Don't even think about logging onto the internet, you barely get a signal. If you want complete seclusion, this is the place for you. You only have to drive way out of the way to get there. This is our second stay with Elk Springs and the first cabin we stayed at was wonderful! This cabin resembled a Linkin Logs home thrown together with never ending bear paintings. The only 2 signs that make this cabin feel personable are the wall hangings with scripture on them. In conclusion, I probably wouldn't suggest this cabin to family or friends do to the limited comforts of home. It is well maintained overall. We will definitely be back, we'll just book another cabin with Elk Springs.
Greg D. from Bluefield, WV recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2013 As frequent visitors to the area and having used several different management companies, Elk Springs Resort is by far the best ever. We've had so many problems in the past, we'll never go anywhere else again. Keep up the excellent work Elk Springs!!
Alisha M. from Birmingham, Alabama recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2012 This was my first time being to the cabins and Gatlinburg, TN. It was a nice romantic getaway as well as a good way to bring in the New Years. I loved everything about the cabin, I actually wish I could take the bathroom back to Birmingham with me. The drive to Pigeon Forge was not bad and enjoyed the outlets. Overall the experience was unforgetable and look forward to returning with friends to make it even more enjoyable.
Jake R. from Germantown, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2012 This was our honeymoon, and We had such a great time in the cabin, the hot tub was great after hikes! The fire places and Tv's were always nice for a movie night in the cabin. Can't wait to come back!Sorry It took me so long to reply!!
Randy P. from Burns, Tennessee recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2012 WE HAD A GREAT WEEKEND GETAWAY AND A VERY PROFESSIONAL RUN COMPANY THAT DELIVERS WHAT THEY PROMISE. OUR CABIN WAS PERFECT AND A GREAT PLACE TO RELAX OUT IN THE COUNTRY YET STILL CLOSE ENOUGH TO TOWN.
A guest from Palatine, Illinois recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2012 We had a great stay at Mountain Hideaway. The cabin was incredible and by far the nicest of its type that we have stayed in before. It was the highlight of our trip. Views were a bit lower than what it looked like in the pictures, so I would opt for one of their cabins on higher ground next time we book. Also, the pots and pans were kind of gross and need updating. The cabin was spotless and the hot tub was great. Very happy with our stay, we will be back.
The cabin was wonderful and the location was fantastic.
Jason P. from Mocksville, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2012 I would recommend this cabin to anyone. Just a short drive from all activities but secluded enough to relax and really enjoy some time away.
Dustin E. from Northport, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in October, 2012 Everything was great. We had a great honeymoon and we are already planning are next trip to the same cabin. Each person I spoke with was very professional and courteous. We will definitely be recommending your cabins to our friends. Thanks!
A guest from Ingersoll, Ontario recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2012 We had a fabulous time at Mountain Hideaway. Cabin was beautiful, quiet and we were able to relax. Loved the hot tub at night. Scenery was beautiful. Only complaint was a customer service rep. that we dealt with on the phone the night before our arrival....very unprofessional with attitude. He was very frustrating. Overall, we loved our vacation and would highly recommend the same experience for anyone!
John P. from Lehman, Pennsylvania recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2012 The place was great! I would very much like to visit again in fall or winter. I was traveling alone to see the sights of the GSMNP. Gatlinburg is a bit of tourist trap so was happy to be away from town (closer by 5 miles would have been perfect). I got GREAT pictures and had a once in a life time encounter with a bear and live to tell about it!
Dawn C. from Pleasantville, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2012 We stayed with Elk Springs Resort for our honeymoon. The cabin was gorgeous, secluded, and included all the ammenities! We absolutely loved the jacuzzi tub and giantic rain shower. We enjoyed the hottub every night. The only thing we wished was that it was a little closer to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
Pam O. from Loveland, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2012 The cabin was all you could ask for in our week getaway leaving nothing to desire, take away the storm and losing the satellite for most of one evening, our stay was just as desired
Eric G. from Tampa, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 This cabin was absolutely amazing! We aren't your low budget traveler and have stayed in many fine locations throughout the U.S. This cabin/property is 5 star quality without a doubt. We visited during summer and stayed in most of the time because the cabin was just too nice to leave. We will be back to visit the cabin (and Tennessee) again sometime during a fall season, winter season and spring season!
A guest from Troy, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2012 It was a great place to stay. Quiet and isolated. Even with the other cabins around you rarely saw other people. It was well worth the money of staying. It was so relaxing.
Jesse H. from Lake Charles, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2012 We had a great time. My only negative is that the pictures provided on the Internet were not up to date. The view wasn't as tree-free as I thought it would be. But nonetheless the cabin was wonderful.
Timothy A. from Bridgeport, WV recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2012 We had an amazing time at this resort. We did have a couple bugs to contend with when we first went in, but we handled it like champs and enjoyed our weekend! The management was fantastic and quickly helped us out with a furniture situation we ran into. Super nice people. I would easily recommend this cabin to anyone. The shower is incredible! :)
A guest from Asheville, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2012 My husband and I spent the weekend in the mountain hideaway. We were really impressed with all the woodwork and we really enjoyed the privacy. We also loved the hot tub and shower features! We really needed a quiet-relaxing-private getaway and it was everything we'd hoped for.
A guest from Fort Meyers, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2012 My wife & I stayed at Mountain Hideaway for our honeymoon. We enjoyed the privacy and view from our cabin and also the sounds of the stream across the street. The only thing we would have liked differently was the couch. It was small and not very comfortable. Other than that, we had a wonderful time! Also, be prepared for a lot of mountain driving from the cabin to Gatlinburg, about 20 mins; but very nice views along the way.
Billy C. from Anderson, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2012 I have stayed in a lot of cabins over the years. This cabin was the best for me by far. Totally enjoyed my stay and the location. The caibin was notthe too far away or tooyou close to town. The cabin was clean and cozy. Loved it! Definitely will be back!
A guest from McDonald, Tennessee does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2012 The cabin was awesome but the drive to get anywhere was just too long. One night we had to run to the store and we had to drive for 15 minutes just to find an open gas station. Other than that it was a very pleasant experience!
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals are in the mountains! Great cabin if you really want a lot of seclusion and closer and more accessible than you may think. Thanks for staying with us and you do get 10% off future stays. Perhaps you may want to stay in the main resort next time as it is a little closer.
Evan H. from Odessa, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2012 We absolutely loved this cabin for our honeymoon!! Beautiful, clean and a perfect place to snuggle up with my sweetie. We will be back! :-)
Joe O. from Jersey City, NJ recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2012 Overall, the cabin was excellent. A few quibbles/suggestions: *The TV in the bathroom could be bigger and mounted on a swivel so it can pivot. *The fireplace in the bedroom made a "clicking" sound that was annoying while trying to rest/sleep.*The coffee table in the Living Room was ****** and out-of-place.Thank you.
Angela P. from Owensboro, Kentucky recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2012 The cabin location, layout, decor, and it's amenities were well thought out when this was put together. There was nothing about this cabin my husband and I did not like. The kitchen had everything we could need to make our own food to save money. Everything in the cabin was labeled for easy usage. (Which switches control which lights and how to operate every piece of equipment.) It was truly an amazing, worry-free, relaxing place to stay. Thank you! We will definitely stay again and recommend it to our friends.
Lisa F. from Brandon, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in February, 2012 I can't stop raving about your cabins. It was gorgeous and in a perfect location. We are going to make Gatlinburg and your cabins our annual family trip. Thank you so much for being so wonderful.
Susan T. from Marietta, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2011 3 nights @ Mountain Hideaway was part of my Christmas present for a very special man in my life. It couldn't have been more perfect, the layout, decor, fireplaces and most of all the comfort & romantic feel. When we read the comments in the journal in the cabin we came to the conclusion that the cabin is magical !! The whole process from reserving online to the time we left was extremley easy. I reccommend any of the cabins in this resort & thank Don and his family for sharing their dream with us! We'll be back to make many more memories !!
April C. from Brazil, Indiana recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2011 The bed was amazing!!! We had a gorgeous view. Very romantic setting and everything we needed!:) If were are able to go back on our anniversary, the same cabin will be rented:)
A guest from Pensacola, Fla. recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2011 We enjoyed this cabin so much last year, we decided to return this year. The view of the mountains is breathtaking from both upper & lower decks. We've never slept in a bed so comfortable. We wanted to bring it home with us! Loved the California rain shower and the hot tub. The pool table is probably our favorite ammenity. We played every night! The rocking chairs on the upper deck are so comfortable. We stayed on the deck almost all day when we didn't go out. The porch swing on the lower deck was great! That's the first thing I did every morning. It's comfortable and it swings perfectly. I will add that the clothes dryer was very dusty on top and the accent lights and the flood light for the grill were not working. Also the battery for the grill ignite button and 2 remotes were not working but my husband just swapped them out of a remote from the bathroom which we weren't going to use. The only change we'd like to see would be a larger more comfortable sofa. But all in all we had a great time and hope to return again.
Holly R. from Orange Beach, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in September, 2011 We loved our cabin. It was beautiful. We didnt like that it was so far from downtown but it was also nice to be secluded.
Ronnie J. from Upland, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2011 My wife and I just got married and we were looking for something special to do on our honeymoon - This was it! We had such a great time! Everything was clean and in great working order. It was great how worry free the stay was, we never once had to see anyone from the property management group! (No papers, no check-in, no check-out) We had such a fun time! The bed was unbelievably comfortable, the shower was very relaxing, the hot tub and jacuzzi were wonder, the grill on the patio was such a wonderful tool as well!!! All of the appliances were great as well! We ended up eating every meal at the cabin! We would refer anyone to come here! what a great place, great views, great time! AND BEST OF ALL, WE ARE MARRIED :D
Jennifer G. from Hanover, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2011 My husband and I stayed here the last week in July 2011. We went for our 10th anniversary. It was just awesome. Its definitely a luxury cabin with everything one needs to relax and just unwind. I truly recommend it for any couple looking some peace and quiet.
Tiffany M. from Ashkum, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2011 Beautiful views, spotless cabin, wonderful amenities , very polite staff Seems to be a bit overpriced other cabins in the area went for $6-700 per week while we payed over $700 for 2 nights!
Terry H. from Munford, TN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2011 The pictures on the elk springs website of the Mountain Hideaway cabin were NOT the correct pics. The view from the balcony does NOT look like the pic. The quiet stream, as advertised on your website for this cabin, could NOT be heard due to the roaring of the traffic on highway 321. Overall we were satisfied with the cabin itself but it was NOT just like the website stated. The pics were very misleading when you think you will overlook the mountains when in fact the view was blocked by trees due to the fact that the pics were obviously taken much higher up the mountainside than where the cabin actually sits. Very nice cabin, a little too far out of town but overall a nice place. Probably will not stay here again. The location and disappointment of misinformation from website are too much to deal with to plan a return trip.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals The pictures taken are from the cabin. It's to no one's advantage for us to mislead you on the photos. We're sorry it didn't meet your expectations as we do have an average rating of 4.87 out of 5 stars on this cabin and over a 95% "would recommend to others" rating for this exact unit htat youstayed in.We do appreciate the opportunity to have you stay with us, perhaps you'll want to try a different cabin next time. This cabin was more than we could have asked for. It was immaculate. All the apliances were new and worked great. The cabin was
Anna W. from Columbia Sation, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2011 If we could time share this cabin... we would in a heartbeat. We plan on vacationing here twice a year. It was the most romantic honeymoon and we absolutely loved the resort!!!
A guest from Mount Juliet, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2011 We went up to a cabin in the Elk Springs resort for our honeymoon. It was in such a beautiful area away from everything. The cabin had everything you needed and more to just relax and enjoy time away. We loved our time there and just wished we didn't have to leave. We can't wait to go back, spend more time up there, and create even more great memories.
Justin S. from Lancaster, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2011 We stayed at Mountain Hideaway and everything was great! The cabin was the cleanest place we have ever stayed at. The full kitchen was nice, pool table, and tvs made it fun and the Jacuzzi, bed. and porches made it relaxing. Very comfortable place to stay. Will stay again!
Sarah P. from West Peoria, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2011 We had a wonderful time and will never use anyone else for cabin rental. The cabin was immaculate and extremely nice! It went beyond our expectations. The pics do not do it justice! What a great time! A little far from town, but well worth it!!
A guest from Jonesborough, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2011 The hot tub and sauna were both not working just right but we still enjoyed them both. Also, we were disappointed that a few of the fireplaces were only for looks. Otherwise, it was great!
Rhonda A. from Mt Washington, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2011 This was our second stay at Mountain Hideaway and we'll be back again! Clean, quiet and relaxing. A great getaway spot. Elk Springs Resorts are easy to work with, very accomadating and concerned about making your stay perfect. We're renting a four bedroom this fall and taking the whole family! No complaints, relax and enjoy!!
Elizabeth T. from Old Hickory, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in January, 2011 I loved the cabin. It was very romantic. It was about a 15 minute drive from parkway, which was nice because it wasnt as crowded. The cabins are kind of close together but there are only 4 or 5 on the street and the builders did a really good job making the balconies private.
Brandon F. from Amherstdale, WV recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2011 This was a wonderful stay. the property is 9 miles from gatlinburg, but 9 miles with roads only going 40mph is not short driving, took about 15-20 minutes at casual pace. I did after I was able to locate the property ENJOYED very much that it was away from the bigger parts of towns. We had no noise, no problems, and it was extremely relaxing. The details on the website were very outdone once ariving at the cabin, definetly they do not give themselves enough credit when describing their cabins.
Chris T. from Humboe, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in January, 2011 What a great time! We had not been on a vacation together in 3 years and the Mountain Hideaway provided the break my wife and I needed. The cabin was perfect, the view was perfect, and the folks onsite go out of their way to help you. We will be back!
George R. from Babson Park, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in December, 2010 We had a great time. We are going back in the summer. I felt I was at home. Thank you George Roque and Family Miramar, Florida (We are not from Babson, Florida)
randy p. from Burns, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2010 We had a great time and this cabin was wonderful, everything was easy to operate with the attached notes available, check-in and out was painless, we never seen or met anyone. The bathroom was the best of all, what a way to relax. The guestbook was neat to read thru as well. Highly recommended cabin for 2 people.
A guest from Mt Washington, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2010 We really loved this cabin. Very well equipped and super clean. The shower is to die for. We were celebrating 36 years of marriage and this was our private little bit of heaven for 3 days. It was a little further from Gatlinburg than we had hoped, but we got used to it and it was worth it to get such a nice place. Check in/check out was easy. Everyone was helpful and it was well worth the money. We highly recommend Mountain Hideaway!
A guest from Norwalk, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2010 the cabin was beautiful, we had a lot of fun...on the downside however, there was a dirty rag left on the upstairs fireplace (which we couldn't get to work and the remote only flashed at us) there were cobwebs all over the upstairs bathroom and the inside light to the sauna did not work...i had been told that the cabin we were staying in was secluded and we had LOTS of neighbors and the pictures online of the cabin are EXTREMELY decieving. you do have beautiful rental properties, but as a tip i would pay closer attention to detail to the one and two bedroom cabins as those are smaller families or honeymooners and will notice smaller things. loved our time down there in the mountains though, the scenery is gorgeous.
Stephanie W. from Batesburg, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2010 We loved to cabin! It was very nice and clean. The only problem we had was the view was not the same as it showed in the picture online.
A guest from Pensacola, Fla. recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2010 Breathtaking view of the beautiful mountains! Hot tub was great. Rocking chairs and the swing were so comfortable. We spent most of our time during the day on the decks. The electric fireplaces were amazing! The pool table was so much fun. We shot pool every night and some during the day. The one thing I wanted to bring home with us was the bed. I have never slept on anything so comfortable. My husband has a back problem and it did not bother him at all while we were there. Both of us haven't slept good since we've been home. Everything about the Mountain Hideaway cabin was amazing and perfect. We've been going to the Smoky Mountains for over 25 years and this cabin is light years ahead of any of the other cabins we've stayed in. We are definately going back every year. It's paradise on earth!
Overall, great - just a few minor disappointments =)
Carrie A. from Franklin, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2010 The cabin was great - everything it says it will be. A stretch from downtown, but didnt mind the drive. =) Biggest disappointment was the advertisement for "4 fireplaces." They are all pretty much pictures. Electric, turned on with a remote, and dont even emit heat. We were looking forward to real fireplaces - or at least gas fireplaces. Not too thrilled with how close the neighbors were, though we didnt hear or even see another soul while we were there. The view is great - as long as you dont look down at the road below you. You have to look straight out and/or up. Blue Ridge, GA had the most amazing view yet. Bed was EXTREMELY comfortable, bathroom was amazing! While there was a coffee maker and cups, etc - would have been nice to have had some coffee stocked in the cabinets as well. Call me picky, but these were just side thoughts that didnt really affect my stay. The overall stay was wonderful and I had a great time! Very clean and the staff was great. =) If you are set on Gatlinburg, I would recommend these cabins.
Katherine R. from Brownstown, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2010 Everything about the cabin was top notch. All the fixtures down to the towels were lovely. Very quiet except for the construction of some new cabins going up, but that was minimal. Would definitely stay here again.
A guest from Valley City, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2010 We love this place! Loved the cozy cabin feel & privacy and really appreciated the modern touches(big TV, hot tub, kitchen, loved the shower!). And we still enjoyed the beautiful outdoors surrounding the cabin. Grilled on the deck often and had everything we needed. Very clean too. We would love to return for an anniversary trip sometime.
A guest from Ft Lee, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2010 It was simply great to get away from Iraq and have such a nice place to stay. I just wish i would have got responses for the manager when i messaged them.
Jonathan W. from Delmar, DE recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2010 This place was beautiful. We were just a little dissapointed that the view wasn't just like the pictures (the trees have grown since the picture was taken). Other then that it was perfect and we will recomend it as well will be back.
A guest from Evansville, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2010 This was the first time my husband and I have stayed in a cabin. This cabin was amazing. It really set the bar high. We look forward to coming back:)

Robert N. from andalusia, alabama recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2010 We had a very good time . Just me and my wife stayed and it was a wonderful getaway from work , kids , etc. We loved the cabin , my wife fell in love with the shower so it looks like I may be doing some remodeling here soon , then I will be ready for another trip to your side of the mountain . Thanks we had a great time !
Edward P. from Martinez, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2010 We are newly weds and wanted to have a romantic honeymoon! The cabin was beautiful, and so were the views. And the extra amenties were just a plus! We are now considering buying property in Gatlinburg and moving just because we loved it so much! We will definantely be back soon!!!
Nice cabin with nice deck area overlooking the mountains. Golf course was minutes away. Smokey Mountain National Park very acces
A guest from Merimack, WI recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2010 A nice place to stay. Directions to the cabin were challenging for someone coming in from out of town from the west.
A guest from Lynchburg, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2010 We aboslutely loved staying at the cabin! It was beautiful inside, great view, and pleanty of room. We definitely enjoyed the hot tub :) We would love to come back some time in the future.
Benjamin S. from Fort Wayne, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2010 It was beautiful and romantic, we had a wonderful time and hope to come back again. The Cabin was spotless and everything that you could want and more.
A guest from Searcy, AK recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2009 The cabin was absolutely wonderful, everything was just as it said it would be. I would definitely book this cabin again. The only downfall about this cabin is that it took at least 10 minutes to get to Gatlinburg and 15 or more to get to Pigeon Forge. So, if you plan on getting out alot and doing things, it may not be the cabin for you. But, if you want to relax and spend time together, 5 stars for sure!
William S. from Wendell, North Carolina recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2009 The interior of the cabin is photographed properly, the actual location of this cabin is NOT the cabin in the pics, nor the scenery off the deck. The actual scenery of this cabin is NOTHING like what is in the pics! Extremely misleading and disappointing!
A guest from madison, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in October, 2009 This is a five star is so clean.Every attention to detail. Many amenities. We enjoyed our stay, and hope to be back in the comming year.
Dean H. from St. Petersburg, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in October, 2009 We were thrilled with the condition of our cabin. Our cabin had everything we needed for a great stay. The kitchen was a modern and fully equipped. Hot tub was very clean and we used it almost daily. The bed was perfect. I cant say enough good things about this place and now my wife wont stay anywhere else. I meet with the owners who were very nice and really cared about the confort of their guests.
A guest from Suffolk, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in October, 2009 We were at the cabin for 9 days the first weeks in October. The cabin was incredible with great attention paid to every detail! A truly relaxing and memorable time.
We had an amazing time~ the cabin was beautiful, and had everything we needed! There were 2 bars of used soap left in our shower
Kristen W. from Farmersville, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2009 We most definately would love to stay at your property again. It was great to just go in to the property, and leave without having to "check-in, and out". We got a little turned around on our way to the resort, and when we called the office, Brandy was eager to tell us how to get to our cabin from where we were. Your staff was very pleasant and helpful~ thanks again!Kristen, Josh and Kyzek Wolf
