Lane Ranch is a traffic-restricted community, and this home is about three-fourths of a mile from the River Run ski lifts and Ketchum. Distance to central Ketchum is about a mile. The bike path goes by the entrance to Lane Ranch, about four blocks away, and that is approximately where the clubhouse, with hot tub and summer swimming pool, are located.The area offers a free shuttle that picks up just 4 blocks away which will transport you to both ski lifts on Bald Mountain, down town Ketchum, Sun Valley resort and Elkhorn resort. Sun Valley has added a new gondola on the River Run side of Bald Mountain scheduled to open November 2009.Lodging Features: This stylish, custom-built, single-level home in Lane Ranch was completed in 1994. Set up to accommodate the owners grown-up extended family, the sleeping arrangements are ample for 13 people, with a bathroom for each of the four bedrooms. Arranged as it is, all on one level, and designed by one of Sun Valleys best architects, most of the rooms have a nice outdoor view. The furnishings, made especially for this home, are mostly of log. In typical mountain-lodge style, the common areas are all open to each other, and the home has a very warm, congenial feel. The open kitchen is equipped to handle extended families with ease. It has a bar interface to the dining area. There is a microwave, a dishwasher, and an automatic icemaker. The handmade log dining table will seat 10 easily. There is additional space for diners at the game table and there is also space at the breakfast table. The great room is a high-ceiling room which encompasses a nice seating area around the river rock fireplace as well as a game table, and the dining area. There is a river rock gas-igniting wood fireplace and a 30" TV with VCR. . Master bedroom has a King bed and 27” TV/VCR with access to a full size bath with sunken jetted tub. Second bedroom has a King bed and has a 17”TV.3RD bedroom has a Queen size bed and a set of twin size bunkbeds. They have a 14” TV.4th bedroom has 2 twin beds and a set of twin bunkbeds. Bedroom has a 17”TV/VCR. All the above bedrooms has their own full size baths. This home has a 2 car garage. The hot tub is at the clubhouse, three to four blocks away. In summer there is a beautiful outdoor pool and two tennis courts.There is easy access to the bike path that runs north for 10 miles and south for 16 miles along the Big Wood River with great scenery to take in as you ride or walk. It is groomed in the winter for Nordic Skiing and is also available to ski on to get to the lifts. All you need to bring for your vacation with us in Sun Valley is a change of clothes and to go grocery shopping when you get here. Please bring a hair dryer as most of our condos do not have them.
