This top (third) floor, two bedroom two bath condominium welcomes you for a relaxing retreat. The comfortable living room features HD TV, DVD player,high speed & wireless internet, stereo, air conditioning, and cozy seating.
The newly remodeled kitchen has stunning granite counters, new well stocked cabinets, new appliances, and desk area with a printer.
The master bedroom has a king bed, air conditioning and ensuite remodeled bathroom. The guest bedroom has two twin beds that can also convert to a king and ceiling fan.
The laundry facilities are easily accessible from the unit.

Great Stay at a wonderful Beach Condo in Maui Gregory K. from Sitka, AK recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in March, 2013 We had a great 9 day stay at Hale Hui Kai. Location can't be beat, on a wonderful beach and near other world class beaches, handy to Kihei and resort areas. You literally walk from the front of the condo onto the sandy beach! The 2 BR/BA Condo unit was open, modern, well equipped, perfect for two couples. A great garden feel, just the right size - not too big or small, and a friendly/helpful staff. Everyone we met was friendly, with some longer term, annual returnees. Good mix of families, younger and older visitors. Most of your "neighbors" on the large beach are multi-million dollar private beach front residences, so the number of people on the beach is relatively low. I read a variety of reviews before booking here for the first time. Reviews ranged from excellent to poor, with some complaining about a lack of parking, noise in the rooms next to the center atrium and even the staff. The parking was a bit tight, but in 8 days we always found a spot right at the hotel. Not a problem. There was some noise via the windows by the atrium as people walked by talking during the day (if you were in a bedroom then), but even that was minimal, and there was very little noise after 9pm as most folks were in their units by then and/or were considerate of other guests. The real noise makers were the abundant tropical birds at sunrise, but hey what a way to wake up! We didn't have bug problems as some people mentioned in reviews. Saw two small ones during more than a week there. If you are looking for a high rise, ultra modern, pampered experience, this condo isn't for you. But if you are looking for an economical (Maui prices) smaller beachfront condo that is very nice, clean, well appointed, in a great Maui location with friendly guests and staff then this place is hard to beat. One caution: book well in advance! We waited until almost too late and were lucky to get the last available unit. Good luck and Enjoy!! |

Stayed for 8 days in January, 2013 Friendly property management, clean condo, very nice kitchen, lanai was cramped---this is a 2-bedroom condo, but 4 guests could not easily sit on the lanai at one time---excellent location relative to the beach---no washer/dryer in unit was an inconvenience. Husband was disappointed that he couldn't BBQ on premises or very close by. King-sized bed in MBR was not as comfortable as in other condos we've rented in the area in past years. VERY tight parking spaces. Overall, would have to weigh these inconveniences against the great location on the beach. |

Noisy from property maintenance workers EVERY day. water was off on arrival for 1st day and 2nd. garden was jackhammered, carpets being cleaned 2nd or 3rd day in halls.Gardeners outside interior windows very early working. Had everything we needed, the only thing lacking would be barbecues on the property.The only thing I would say needed to be done would be some trimming of bushes. Some of the balconies views were totally blocked, no sun or view. This year our view was great but I would hesitate to book this unit again next year as there will be no view for 301 by then either. Lovely condo A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2012 It was a lovely condo, not much of a water view but we knew that going in. Our only complaint is that we came in on a Friday, rented two DVD's and settled in for a quiet evening, only to find that the DVD player didn't work. We called on Saturday, but couldn't get anyone to come until Monday afternoon. Of course, we lost the rental fee on the two DVDs and there was no offer of anything to apologize for the situation. We felt that there was little support if anything went wrong, and not effort to "make it up to us." Property Manager Response: Response from Maui Rental Group Thank you for your review! We apologize for the DVD player not working and not being able to replace it until Monday. It was not relayed to us you had rented movies which needed to be returned ASAP. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2012 The location of this condo building was perfect as it was situated directly on Keawakapu beach. Snorkeling was pretty good off the rock outcropping and we saw some turtles. The location in relation to other siteseeing places was excellent as well. You could take S. Kihei road to see all the shops, Kam beaches, and people or you could easliy scoot up to the highway and quickly bypass these to get to the crater, west Maui, Hana, etc. As for the rental, it had everything we needed. The beds were a little hard for us and the noise from the road/garbage trucks/etc was very noticeable. The unit had AC in the living room and the master and had fans throughout. The owners also provided coolers, chairs, boogie boards (one was broken), and beach towels. The kitchen was outfitted with everything we needed to cook and wireless access was available for free. This unit is located directly above the office, so no noise from below, and the laundry rooms were next to the unit. The only true complaint I had was the unit did not have its own washer and dryer. I would definitely stay here again if we came back to Maui. |

Stayed for 7 days in December, 2010 We stayed in room 301, it was nicely renovated in kitchen and bathrooms, the beds need updating, but comfortable and need new sheets and preferably a duvet cover that has a sheet so that you know it is clean. We loved the location, couldn't ask for better, beautiful beach. The biggest complaint is that it has open aired louvers on the bedroom and you can't shut them. therefore at 8 am, when all the older people want to start cleaning up bottles, you are right beside the recycle place and you get a 8 am wake up call of clinging bottles..or delivery trucks beeping as they back up as you are right by the partking lot. Nice small view of beach from balcony. Owners have it very well equipped and one of the few units that have air conditioning...and believe me, you need it. Cleaning staff rushed us out on check out day, banging at door at 10 am and then waited outside our door for us to get out. I told them that it said 11 am on papers and they said they had back to back checkins so needed us out early. I didn't appreciate that. A Month in Maui. We did enjoy our stay very much, the condo needed a toaster as the one that was there when we arrived failed an A guest from Victora, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 29 days in October, 2010 The bedspread was also in need of a proper cleaning. If the main bedroom was to get the storm style windows as are found in other units that we have stayed in at the Hale Hui Kai, this would reduce the noise considerably, and also reduce the operating costs of cooling the bedroom. These comments are offered only to improve the unit for the next time we come to Maui. We have already booked this unit again for next year. |

Another Great Visit to Maui A guest from Franklin, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in January, 2010 We really liked being able to walk right onto the beach. We have stayed across the road before but this was nicer. The view from the lanai is minimal, and we missed clearly hearing the sound of the ocean from the unit, but the view from the pool area was wonderful, and we spent many hours watching the whales and paddle surfers. Being at the back of the property, we did have a fair amount of road noise during the day. The unit had everything we could possibly want--even office supplies. It was great. The parking lot was tight. People were available and willing to make sure our stay was enjoyable. We have added many good memories to our Hawaii collection. Thanks for letting us share your home. |
