Michelle V. from Katy, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2016 We could not have asked for a more beautiful, well appointed cabin to stay in. This cabin is great for a couple or one with a small child. We loved eating meals out on the back deck, watching the moon rise over the mountain and having my daughter experience lightening bugs. The hot tub was perfect after days spent trekking through nearby gatlinburg and pigeon forge. Overall we would highly recommend this cabin and look forward to returning in the very near future!

Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2016 Excellent location, amazing views, well maintained property with all amenities you can ask for. As property is 10 miles from Gatlinburg downtown, car is must. Great smoky mountain national just after you cross the gatlinburg city. We really enjoyed the trip and our stay.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals We are pleased to hear your vacation was a success. Whispering Creek is the perfect cabin to enjoy all that our area has to offer. It is close to downtown, yet, just far enough away to be able to enjoy the serene sounds of nature. We hope you will come back and stay with us as often as you can.
A guest from North Webster, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2016 I am very happy with the cabin we stayed in. The location was perfect, overlooking the mountain valleys, yet not too far from trails and attractions in the Gatlinburg and surrounding area. The cabin was straight out of a book with a hot tub on the back porch, spiral staircase, and a Huge king size bed with jacuzzi and pool table in the lower level. The cabin was very clean and well kept. The staff at Elk springs called me before, during, and after my visit to ensure I was happy with everything. Very good experience and I will be going through Elk Springs for future trips to the Smokey Mountains.

Ryan M. from Toledo, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2016 Loved the condition of the cabin and the view from the balcony. Will visit again. Only negative were the big bees around the balcony.
Kyle B. from Pearl River, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2016 This place was great! It was perfect for the two of us. It was very clean, the hot tub was relaxing, and view was amazing. It was located 10 mins from the Smokey's enterancenterance which was perfect for us, that's where we spent all of our time. The only thing is I wish it was further in the woods but then I guess you wouldn't been that close to town! Definitely recommend.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Your wish is our command! We have the perfect cabin waiting for your next stay. You only need to contact one of our experienced sales representatives to choose a cabin that will give you the secluded experience you are looking for. With so many cabins to choose from, it is easy to find your new home away from home in the Great Smoky Mountains!
Jason W. from Durham, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2016 It was great. The stair case was a little scary but we managed. The fireplace stopped working near the end of the stay, but it wasn't a big deal. I would recommend staying here to someone in the future.
Holly N. from Johns Island, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2016 whispering creek is a beautiful, out of the way, but close cabin with great space. The staff of Elk Springs were very nice and made sure all of our needs were met.
David L. from Cincinnati, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in January, 2016 We had a wonderful stay. The view was spectacular, but the photos are artfully taken. The interior is well appointed, but if you have trouble with steps, plan to use the murphy bed on the main floor. The downstairs bedroom was nice, but kind of sterile. A chair or two might have been a nice touch. We did not use the pool table, so it served as a chair would have to place clothes etc. The only other "issue" is that the downstairs bathroom is fairly tight, another reason to consider using the murphy bed on the main floor. The owner was very responsive, when we asked about a bread knife they had delivered one from their house within a half an hour. The location is great if you want to be out of town. It was convenient to take a day trip to Ashville. All told it was a wonderful experience. We might just select a slightly larger cabin next time.
A guest from Nescopeck, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2015 We had a great time celebrating our honeymoon in the cabin and the great smoky mountains. The accomidations were great would recommend it to a friend and we will return again someday.
Thomas W. from Williamsburg, VA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2015 The cabin was beautiful and the view was amazing. But, we were displaced for a day due to a new mattress delivery. We were accussed of smoking in the cabin and we are non-smokers. They charged our credit card $169.00 for this. We tried time and again to talk to someone about this issue but no one from management would contact us. We finally recieved an email with pictures of ashes, PLEASE!
A guest from Louisville, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2015 Cabin is easy to get to with a beautiful view of Mt. LeConte. Very clean and well equipped. Reservation and check-in process is a breeze. The spiral staircase to the bedroom downstairs can be a challenge for those with mobility issues. Perfect for a quiet and peaceful getaway.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thank you for your feedback, Sandra. We are pleased to hear that you had a peaceful getaway. Sometimes, that is all we need to get rejuvenated! We appreciate you advising us that those with mobility issues may have difficulty with the spiral staircase getting to the downstairs bedroom. Your feedback helps us to improve our services and strive toward providing all of our guests with a 5 star experience.
Anetrice W. from Marion, AR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2015 My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and absolutely loved everything about this cabin. He especially loved it so ,much that he wants to come back for his birthday in February.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals It is our pleasure to provide you with a beautiful cabin to enjoy your anniversary in. Kathy O. from Clinton Township, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2015 This was my first stay with Elks Spring resort. At first I was disappointed that I wasn't right in Gatlinburg on the hillside but soon loved where the cabin was located. After every 9 mile trip into Gatlinburg, we were so happy to return to "our" cabin. Gatlinburg was just too hectic and congested. Whispering Creek cabin was on the side of a hill with a beautiful, peaceful view of the mountains. Upon our first arrival at the cabin, we noticed what perfect shape the cabin was in. It was very, very clean, well furnished and as comfortable as my own home. When it was time for us to leave for home, we didn't want to leave. We can't wait to return again and hope to bring our entire family.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Kathy, it is our pleasure to provide you with that home away from home experience you were hoping for. We have several larger luxury cabins with plenty of room for your whole family to enjoy upon your return trip. If you would like one closer to downtown Gatlinburg, we have those too. Thank you for sharing this 5 star review with us. We certainly appreciate your business and look forward to your return visit.
Lori W. from Greenfield, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2015 Never before have we stayed in accommodations which actually turned out to be BETTER than the photos and online description. Our cabin was very clean, well maintained and cozy. The drive time to the park and downtown Gatlinburg was minimal, and we were able to visit both during our short stay. We will definitely be returning in 2016!
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thank you for the kind review Lori. Customer satisfaction is very important to us and we are pleased to hear that your experience with your cabin stay exceeded your expectations! Whispering Creek is located just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Gatlinburg, but close enough for a quick drive to local attractions and eateries. We look forward to your return next year!
Amanda D. from Louisville, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2015 Lovely place with a beautiful view and close to many different things to do around Gatlinburg. We hiked, went shopping, did a few of the Ripley's Tours and nothing was ever too out of the way. Can't wait to return!
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thank you for your 5 star review Amanda. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the cabin, the view, and some of the local attractions. We look forward to your return visits!
A guest from Taylors, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2015 Beautiful view. Cabin was great. would love to stay there again.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thanks Dale. We are pleased that you found everything to your satisfaction with your stay at Whispering Creek. When you are ready to book your next stay with us, please mention that you have stayed with us before and we will give you a 10% discount.
Linda S. from EVANSVILLE, Indiana recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2015 If we would build a cabin for ourselves, this would be it. It was beautiful, very clean, and a joy to stay in. We hope to be able to stay here in the winter months. Elk Springs is the place I will look at first when we visit Gatlinburg again.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals We are thrilled to hear that Whispering Creek provided you with the perfect cabin experience. Thank you for your great review and we hope you will come back and stay with us again!
Carlie C. from Pace, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2015 We loved this cabin! Not very big but it was perfect for our 3 person family. We had a great view, down a quite little road on the outskirts of town but close enough to everything you need. I'm very picky when it comes to clean & this place was VERY CLEAN! The king size bed was comfortable & my son loved the pool table, the bose sound system, & the hot tub. There was a wasp nest on the porch in which one actually stung my son but we called maintenance (at night) & he was there within mins to spray & knock down the nest. Needless to say I was impressed with the quick response time. We will definitely be back to this or one of the nearby cabins from the same company!
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thank you for the review Carlie! We are sorry to hear that your son was stung by a wasp. They can make their nests and become a nuisance in a very short amount of time. We are glad that maintenance came out right away to take care of the problem for you. It sounds like you enjoyed the cabin and all of the amenities during your stay! We hope you take advantage of your 10% savings off your next stay as a repeat guest with us!
Abdullah A. from Jeddah, Western recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2015 We had wonderful time & comfortable stay. The cabin has everything we needed & we'll stay there again on our next visit to the smokies.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thank you very much for a 5-star review! We are pleased that you found everything to your liking and that you completely enjoyed your cabin stay. We look forward to you coming back to the Great Smoky Mountains soon!
A guest from Westland, Michigan recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2015 The cabin was very clean very nice we are highly impressed! It was beautiful the view was amazing the cabin was amazing we will be back!
A guest from Deatsville, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2015 Very Nice and peaceful. A great getaway, but still centrally located to major stores and shopping between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Cabin view breathtaking, only wish rental could have been more secluded, several other cabins right next door.
A guest from Durham, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2015 pros:the cabin, view, hot tub etc were good.we went to zipline and it was just one minute from here so saved our time.the surrounding area is good toocons:kitchen knives were broken and rustedbathrooms were good but the master bathroom was really small and that had a dead snail they provided coffee machine but no coffee filters????
Jane W. from Perrysville, Indiana recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2015 I stayed here with my 2 sisters and the cabin was awesome! Great views and easy to get to. The rental personnel were very nice and professional. It was a wonderful experience!
A guest from Evans City, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2015 very happy with the cabin, the rental management was excellent, well located to all the attractions, would come here again
Heather R. from Severn, MD recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2015 From the very helpful and friendly vacation rental management staff to the pristine location to the spotlessly clean cabin, my husband and I had an extremely enjoyable experience. Check-in was a piece of cake, as was check out. And we cannot say enough about the cabin's charm, functionality, and versatility. Between it, the plethora of fabulous area restaurants (including Alamo Restaurant, No Way Jose's, Three Jimmies, and Big Daddy's Pizzeria), and endless things to do, our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer than four nights. Easy access to mountain hiking, quality shows (Smoky Mountain Opry), and a wide variety of both ordinary and out-of-the ordinary tourist attractions kept us quite occupied ... and equally appreciative of the hot tub! The only negative? Bumble bees the size of humming birds. But, well, I guess they were there first, right? Our lone suggestion is to bring along a can of quality bee/wasp spray to keep the not-so-little boogers at bay. And yes, we would definitely recommend this to a family member or friend.
Jeremy M. from Waxhaw, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in April, 2015 The cabin was very nice, we enjoyed the view from our back porch and relaxing in the hot tub! The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for a great week away.
Taylor M. from West Lafayette, IN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2015 The cabin itself was very nice and we enjoyed our stay. However, there were tons of ladybugs everywhere in the house. They were all over the night stands next to the bed, on the kitchen counters, on my glasses, all over the floor, and a few in the bed. The first night we got there I put as many as I could find outside. By morning it seemed like there was even more than when we first got there and only appeared to get worse. I think it is kind of ridiculous to pay nearly $600 for two nights and have the cabin infested with bugs. It was a nice cabin and if there weren't bugs I would absolutely recommend this place. However, the bugs made me not want to come back.
A guest from Loughrea, Co. Galway recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2015 We stayed in whispering creek for 2 nights as part of a sightseeing road-trip from DC to New Orleans and back up to NC. While we visited many wonderful places I would rate the time spent around Gatlinburg as the highlight of the entire trip. We booked last minute on the elk springs web site (at 1am the morning before arrival!) Driving off the highway the following night I begin to have nightmares of an isolated cabin in the middle of nowhere, and was relieved to find the cabin in small resort, private but not at all isolated. The cabin was clean and comfortable, with an open layout. The view was terrific and the sound of the creek running below made unwinding in the hot tub such a relaxing experience. The only negative points would be the sound inside the cabin itself-the air con was loud and there was no real privacy between the bedroom downstairs and the living area upstairs(although there was a full bathroom on both floors)-not a problem for a couple, but as we were a party of 3 adults it was not ideal. That said, it did not spoil the experience, we had a moonshine themed BBQ on the 2nd evening. Had time permitted we would have loved to stay longer. I hope someday to go back to TN and the Smoky Mountains, and elk springs will be first choice for accommodation when we return.
latoya w. from schenectady, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2015 My boyfriend and I stayed at the whispering creek. Everything about our cabin were amazing. The cabin was spotless and it had everything we wished for!!
I would definitely recommend this company for your cabin needs
John M. from Herrin, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2014 The cabin was very nice, very clean, and stocked with many items which made our stay so much easier. The only problem I encountered was the night before we left, we had washed clothes and then found out the dryer did not heat up. This forced us to hang up clothes throughout the cabin and pack clothes that were still damp. Other than that it was so nice, great view and the people I interacted with were very pleasant. Thank you Michelle!!
Bryan B. from Middletown, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2014 It was a very beautiful place just to say the least. Was my firat time in an Elk Springs Resort and would deff stay there again. It was mine and my girlfriends first time away with eachother and we really enjoyed all that thecabin had to offer. And to top it off I ended up leaving on aaccident a very expensive shirt in the closet and the team there made sure I had gotten it returned. Thanks again for the great memories will be seeing you again soon.
Infested with lady bugs & staff that didn't follow up
A guest from Land O Lakes, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2014 When this trip was booked, we were so excited about staying at an Elk Springs cabin bc this was different from our usual Pigeon Forge timeshare. The booking process was easy and the staff was helpful in that process. It wasn't until we got to the cabin and noticed lady bugs storming the cabin...seriously like something out of the movies. When we called to talk to someone about it, all they could say was "well it's that time of year when they are present". It would have been nice to have had something stating this on the website bc honestly we wouldn't have stayed here if we had known beforehand what we were going to experience. The weather was so beautiful and we couldn't even go outside to enjoy the jacuzzi, the grill or even eat outside on the balcony. As soon as we would open a door, they would come flying in. They even seemed to come in through the cracks of the cabin at night. They were EVERYWHERE!!! I called to let someone know that we were going to just check out early and stay somewhere else bc we weren't comfortable sleeping there another night and I spoke with a Property Manager, Laura. She told me that she couldn't really do anything other than send maintenance over with bug spray. I told her that would be fine as I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and a chance to make it somewhat better but they NEVER showed up. On the last morning there, I called to check out and left a message asking for a call back...this is the 3rd day that we've been back home in FL, and still haven't received a call. As I mentioned, a simple note on the website warning guests of the bugs during this particular month, would have been nice and then when a Manager tells me that she can send someone over to help fix the issue and then they don't show, that's just not good business. Very disappointed and won't be back!
Jonathan N. from Sarver, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in October, 2014 Whispering Creek was a great experience for my wife and I. Was the best part of our week-long honeymoon in the Smokies. We had a great time relaxing on the porch, enjoying the view. I played a lot of pool and grilled outside. Just a 10 minute drive away from Downtown Gatlinburg, we were never too far away from hiking or food. The only flaw with this property was the road noise. Didn't realize how close to the highway we would be. All-in-all I would definitely recommend this property to anybody visiting the area.
A guest from Cove, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2014 We stayed here for 4 nights and we've enjoyed every minute of it. Our cabin whispering creek was just right. My husband can't stop talking about how comfortable the bed was. Our view was spectacular. The hot tub was set the right temperature and was ready fur us to use from day one. We only used it once unfortunately. The cabin looked just as PERFECT as it was on their website. It's 20 minutes away from Gatlinburg but we didn't mind because it was a secluded area and very quiet and intimate.
A guest from louisville, kentucky recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2014 The cabin was perfect! It had everything we needed and was very clean. The view was amazing and the furnishing and décor made us feel right at home. The only downside was that we couldn't stay longer!
A guest from Itapeva, Sao Paulo recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2014 This was our first time we have stayed in a log cabin. It was an amazing and diferent experience that surprised us positively. Certainly, we would like to repeat the experience as soon as possible.
A guest from Ridgely, MD recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2014 This is our 2nd time staying in this cabin. We have been equally pleased with each visit. The cabin is clean and well equipped with everything you need for a getaway.
A guest from Waterford, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2014 We loved the cabin it was like home away from home. The cabin had everything we needed and more. Loved the location, the view was fabulous and we enjoyed all the amenities. The hot especially under the moonlight. Even though there was a cabin on both sides we still had privacy. Will be back!!!
A guest from Jacksonville, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2014 The cabin proved to be a nice relaxing hideaway. We enjoyed the fact that it was outside the hustle and bustle of downtown Gatlinburg. This was the perfect place to spend our first week and Mr and Mrs.
A guest from Lebanon, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2014 We were looking for a quick escape from the everyday. We found the perfect place here. It was just what we needed. The cabin was very clean and the location was fantastic. I highly suggest it to anyone!!
A guest from Cincinnati, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2014 Whispering Creek was exceptionally clean as we walked in! Its only a 15 min drive to downtown Gatlinburg, and located near other cabins, yet you really don't see your neighbors.
A guest from Ridgely, MD recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2014 We enjoyed our stay with elk ridge so much that prior to leaving we booked the cabin again for the summer. Everything was incredibly clean and beyond my expectations! Upon our original reservation I envisioned this cabin to be more secluded than it actually was but it turned out to be perfect none the less. We will be coming back time and time again and will most certainly use elk springs for our home away from home!
Dave C. from Radford, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in December, 2013 We were very satisfied with the property overall, the location, condition, and the items that were furnished for us. The property company was very thorough and accommodating. I would highly recommend this property and property company to anyone wanting to spend some time in some of the most beautiful surroundings in this part of the country.
A guest from Louisville, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2013 My wife and I stayed for 3 nights and were very happy with the cabin. We decided last minute to go because we wanted to get away for a little bit before our actual honeymoon at the end of December. The cabin was very clean and there were a lot of informational items around. It was great that you were just called and given the code to the cabin so we could just go straight to it. We hiked to Ramsay Cascades on the first day there which was only about 5 miles from the cabin. Just a heads up this is a pretty advanced hike that took us 5 hours to complete. The next day we visited the arts and crafts tour and downtown. We really enjoyed being out farther as we came to get away from the city. Overall it was a great experience. It was well equipped but if you go remember to bring coffee if you are a coffee drinker. Other than that the cabin had pretty much everything we needed. The view is incredible as well.
A guest from Longwood, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2013 The cabin was nice and well furnished. The views were spectacular of the mountains. The gas in the fireplaces had been turned to low making the fires very unimpressive. The knob had been removed from the hot tub so you couldn't increase the jets making it a bubbling bath tub.Wifi was spotty.
Joshua D. from Goose Creek, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2013 The stay at Whispering Creek was phenomenal! It's everything and more my wife and I imagined. Definitely plan to visit again.
A guest from Midland, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2013 Had a wonderful time at Whispering Creek. Location is a little outside of town, but we didn't mind the 15-20 minute ride in. Very clean, very comfortable and a lot of fun. Definitely try the zip lining.
Elcin K. from Houston, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2013 We had an excellent experience. We have stayed at Whispering Creek and everything was perfect and well thought. We had fun as well as much needed relaxation. The only thing we didn't like were the pillows. They were very thick and somewhat stiff. We had to use the decorative pillows of the comforter set which worked fine. We are planning to come back on our 10th year anniversary.
A guest from Novi, Michigan recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2013 Nice and quiet, loved the stay, definitely will come back. overall clean property and professional staff. You need to wash the dishes and kitchen utensils before they can be used. Other than that I recommend it.
A guest from Indian Land, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2013 Beautiful property and location. The cabin itself is a destination. Have already recommended to friends and co-workers. Looking forward to making this our family's getaway for many years!!!
A guest from Chantilly, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in June, 2013 My husband and I stayed in the Whispering Creek cabin overnight on June 1st to make sure the cabin would be a nice spot for my son and future daughter-in-law to spend their honeymoon weekend. The cabin looks just like the pictures, charming and cozy, with a view of the mountains (though the view down was of the road). The hot tub, Jacuzzi, appliances, bathrooms, etc., were in great condition and very clean (though a couple of the utensils [tongs] were broken). We especially enjoyed the hot tub and swing with the view of the mountains. Just a slight disappointment was finding some crumbs under the sofa cushions and the pull-down guest bed fitted sheet was soiled, but I was able to vacuum the crumbs and wash the sheets myself. The master bed and pillows were very comfortable and clean. Overall, the cabin was just what we had in mind, and we booked it for the honeymoon weekend.
A guest from Mason, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2013 The cabin was everything we expected. It was perfect for two people. We had a great view of the mountains from either deck. It was nice where the cabin was situated, very quiet but a quick ride brought you to all the action. It was a beautiful cabin but our only complaint would be an upgrade on the gas grills! Loved it and would rent the same cabin!
Scott T. from Grand Rapids, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in May, 2013 We had a great time staying here! Beautiful cabin with a beautiful veiw. We enjoyed relaxing in the cabin and enjoying the sites around town as well. We would definately recomend to anyone. Thanks!
A guest from New Salisbury, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2013 The location was a bit far from attractions and cabin close to others. However it was very quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed the hot tub and multiple fireplaces. The furniture was basic but adequate. I would definately go back.
Debra M. from Mobile, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2013 This was a dream honeymoon at Whispering Creek. It was a luxurious cabin with a breathtaking view and lovely sounds from the babbling brook, almost heaven! If you needed anything, the staff treated you like kings and queens. We will be returning soon!
Ben B. from Hendersonville, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2013 Best cabin I've ever rented. I'm so glad my wife and I chose to go with Elk Springs. It was the perfect size and everything for the 2 of us. Definitely recommend it for any couple needing some time to just get away.
Rob D. from Warsaw, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2013 Our stay at Whispering creek was wonderful. The cabin was well maintained & clean. The hot tub was fabulous & so was the view. The only down side was that there were no instructions on how to light the grill & my husband was very disappointed that we weren't able to barbecue. Overall we enjoyed our stay & hope to return soon
A guest from Stockbridge, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2013 The Whispering Creek cabin was absolutely wonderful!!! It was clean, well stocked, well organized, and had a terrific view. The king size bed was so comfy and soft and we really enjoyed having the pool table and surround sound system. The jetted tub was wonderful and the jacuzzi on the deck off the master bedroom was just awesome! It was great having a separate living space upstairs, and although we did not use the Murphy bed, it was a very convenient touch. This cabin was extremely cozy, yet had all the modern touches. Will definitely return!!!
A guest from Roanoke, Virginia recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in January, 2013 Whispering Creek was beautiful, comfortable and clean. The views f rom the hot tub on the deck were gorgeous. The cabin is about 15 minutes fomthe center of Gatlinburg. It was far enough away to avoid the crowds but a very eaay trip into town. We had a very relaxing get away. Just be carful on that spiral staircase if you've been drinking! ;)
Caleb H. from Mesquite, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2013 All in all it was a great stay... Could have bee a little more private (there were several other cabins really close to us) but my wife and I really enjoyed the Whispering Creek cabin.
Joseph B. from Madison, MS recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2012 We decided to run off to the mountains right after Christmas, so I chose this cozy little cabin. It was nicely decorated and appointed with excellent electronics and furniture. We spent our out of cabin time hiking in the park, and was great to come home to this little jewel. If I were to do it again, I'd opt to arrive without driving through Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, all that commercial noise is a buzz kill.
Brent M. from Arden, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2012 Great cabin you can hear water from cabin porch which was nice. Rhis one is located mins from Gatlinburg. Very close to zip line stuff again nice cabin with great views...
Wilton P. from Anderson, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2012 This is not really a complaint, but the furniture could have been a little more comfortable. The rocking chair was not great, but it is a fabulous cabin!
A guest from Fayetteville, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2012 The experience was enjoyable. My family and I had the opportunity to rest and relax. We really needed that. We have decided that this will be a yearly family retreat. Even my 15 year old loved it. She actually vacationed without her phone being stuck to her ear (lol). I am very picky about where I stay and was concerned about the asthetics and cleanliness of the cabin prior to my arrival. However, once we arrived, we found that it was asthetically pleasing, extremely clean with a great view. We enjoyed ourselves.
A guest from Fenton, MO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2012 We had a beautiful weather week and the color of the mountains were gorgeous. We were very surprised to find our cabin infested with ladybugs. I'm uncertain if this was related to location or the season. It was difficult to enjoy any cabin amentities because of this nuisance. It is a 15 minute trip into town. It is a convenient location to the Greenbriar park entrance and to the Roaring Fork.
Eric W. from Indianapolis, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2012 Very well maintained and updated property. Clean with the most amazing views. Thanks for providing an awesome place to stay!
A guest from Independence, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2012 Great experience and would recommend to others, beautiful cabin with great pool table, great location, very secluded, hot tub jets did not work properly and called to have it fixed but did not happen during our 2 night stay, but overall very satisfied and would recommend to others.
Mark G. from Moreauville, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2012 we had an awesome time. Was a little out of the way, but I guess for the peacefulness, we had to drive!!! We would recommend your lodge to all our friends. The cabin was clean and very comfortable. Thanks!!!!!
A guest from Stoney Point, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2012 I don't even know where to begin with this review. We traveled from Ontario to Tennessee for our 10th wedding anniversary. We heard nothing but positive feedback from friends who stayed at Elk Springs. So we choose the Whispering Creek cabin, what an amazing cabin. Super clean, had everything we wanted and more views are breathtaking. I can't say enough positive things about it, you really need to experience for yourself. Staff was very friendly. We are already planning on going back in Aug/2013 with the kids this time. We will be staying with Elk Springs but will try a bigger cabin with the kids(not that I wouldn't love to go back to Whispering creek). Highlight of the trip was the large bear print on out back window prior to leaving on the last day, no damage was cause but we loved it!
A guest from Le Roy, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2012 It was very relaxing and quiet. Just what we were looking for. Cabin was awesome and we will return next year for a longer stay. . Great time!!
A guest from Glen Carbon, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2012 This cabin has a wonderful view of the mountains. It is about 13 miles east of Gatlinburg. We really enjoyed our stay!
Todd M. from Turbotville, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2012 Whispering Creek was a delightful cabin. We could look out onto the mountains, the cabin was very clean and we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!
Sandra G. from Chillicothe, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2012 The cabin was awesome! The view from the deck was spectacular. The kitchen had everything a person could possibly need. Location was good as it is minutes away from Gatlinburg. The drawback was that you could hear traffic from the highway and also dogs barking from somewhere nearby. This interfered with the peace one would expectfrom this type of vacation.
David E. from London, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2012 We live 2 hours away and decided last minute to take a quick vacation and made this reservation the day before we left. The staff was so helpful and friendly and everything was wonderful. We will definitely be staying again and again!!! Thank you
Bruce B. from Walkerton, Ontario recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2012 We travel quite often and I must say we were very impressed with the cabin that we stayed in. From the minute we walked in it was spotless, offered anything that we needed for an enjoyable, comfortable stay for our 20th Anniversary.
Thomas V. from Wilmington, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2012 Had a very nice stay. Only change I would like a toilet paper holder in the downstairs bath.Maybe that bathroom could have been just a little larger. Everything else was first class. The view was the best of all the places we have rented before. I have already reccomended it to friends at a party last night. Very nice place.
A guest from Wichita, KS recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2012 My overall experience was 5 star. The cabin is beautiful and clean. Jeremy came right down when we had a problem with the DVD player. So very minor problem. The reason I gave a 3 star to property management is because when I got to the cabin at check in time of 3:00 they had yet called me with the entrance code. When I called them I got an answering machine. I call Jeremy and he called me back within 1 minute with the code. The propert management called me back 30 minutes later. But like I said overall it's a wonderful experience!
Clare T. from Greenville, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2012 We spent 2 nights in Whispering Creek cabin and had a relaxing, enjoyable time. The cabin was clean with many upgrades making it a beautiful place to stay. The hot tub, pool table, porch swing, and satellite tv were some of our favorites. The location was easy to find and just the right distance from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We enjoyed being somewhat secluded but able to reach those places quickly. The furniture was very comfortable and the area was quiet. The neighboring cabins are pretty close but the layout of each provided seclusion and we never even knew the neighboring cabins were there. I highly recommend staying here and look forward to visiting again soon!
A guest from Chattanooga, Tennessee recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in January, 2012 The cabin was absolutely gorgeous! The view was amazing. The cabin had such a "home-like" feel. I was also very surprised how clean it was. It was really a pleasure to stay, and we will definitely be returning very soon!
Derek W. from Prospect, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2011 The location was very nice just would be nicer if the cabins weren't so close together. Also the parking spot was tight for a truck and would be nice if they weren't so steep. If we had ridden the motorcycle down we wouldn't have been able to use the parking area. The cabin was beautiful inside and out very nice woodworking throughout. The view of the smokies was beautiful especially when the frost was on the trees. Had a great time and would definitely recommend to a friend.
Keith W. from Lyman, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2011 The cabin was gorgeous, very well maintained. Views outside of the mountains were great. I think our only disappointment was it was 10 miles from Downtown Gatlinburg, and having other cabins so close to one another. All in all though we enjoy the comforts of the cabin, the decore, and made our Wedding/ Honeymoon perfect.
A guest from Madison, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2011 Enjoyed stay. Only downside was that the master bedroom was downstairs down a narrow circular staircase which we did not know before arrival. My wife has some problems with bad back and mobility and had to sleep upstairs on a Murphy Bed. Cabin was nice and well equipped otherwise.
A guest from North Charleston, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2011 My stay will be unforgettable.Really,we wanted for nothing and the cabin was in a super location.Close to horseback riding, hiking, and downtown Gatlinberg.A great time was had by all and we'll be back.
Mark H. from Plano, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in October, 2011 over all very satisfied. The images of the property were a little misleading. Also, no practical way to transfer the suitcases to downstairs bedroom across narrow spiral staircase. Suitcases were left upstairs and we toted items up and downstairs
Marilyn E. from Pinckneyville, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2011 The cabin was clean, furniture in good shape, view was wonderful, loved the hot tub on balcony. Wished we could have stayed a few more days!
A guest from Olmsted Falls, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in September, 2011 My husband and I originally stayed at Picture Perfect in 2009. We returned this year to Whispering Creek. Both cabins were perfect- private with beautiful views. The owners are incredibly professional and helpful. Additionally, they have thought of virtually everything when choosing the cabin's amenities. If one chose to, they could be perfectly happy staying inside of the cabin for the entire vacation. After driving around, and viewing other vacation rentals, we couldn't imagine staying anywhere else.We will be returning again and again.
A guest from Bowling Green, Kentucky recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2011 We recently booked a three night honeymoon in Whispering Creek, and loved it so much that we stayed an additional night, and never left the cabin.Elk Creek Resort is a top-notch operation with a keen eye for details.
Our stay at Whispering Creek cabin was absolutely wonderful! We could not have had a better place to stay!
Laurie T. from Jal, NM recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2011 It is 1300 miles from where we live but well worth the drive. We will definetly be back!!!! I would recommend it (have) to all our friends. You will be very pleased with the cabin and staff! Everyone we dealt with was so wonderful and helpful! Can't wait for our next visit back to our very special cabin! Thank you so much for having such a beautiful place
Peggy R. from Germantown, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in May, 2011 We loved this cabin. It is beautiful and fully equipped. An absolute home away from home. The mountain views are amazing. Staff was very helpful. Did not want to leave! Thanks Elk Springs for a wonderful vacation.
A guest from Cherry Hill, NJ recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in May, 2011 The highlight on our trip to Tennessee was certainly the Great Smoky Mountains. Do I dare say a close second was the cabin we stayed at for seven days just nearby? Whispering Creek cabin was certainly one of the best 1 bedroom hotel/cabin. Why did I say ?hotel? in my description? Because this ?cabin? left no stone unturned when it came to luxury.Upon entry, the cabin checked out clean and had everything we needed. The deck included a Weber grill that allowed us to prepare great meals every night. We usually look forward to going out to eat, especially dinner, when on vacation. But this time we wanted to Dine in every single night on the patio with the Smoky Mountains as a backdrop view. The owners were always accessible for any problems we had. An issue with the TV was quickly rectified within minutes with a phone call. This place comes highly recommended. You get the great outdoors with a heavy helping of luxury. In fact, there have been discussions about returning next year. The Smoky Mountains provide ample opportunity for a return trip, and this cabin would be the icing on the cake.
Paul E. from Toledo, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2011 Exceeded our expectations. Cabin was beautiful and all the extras such as wifi, hot tub, satelite TV, pool table, and full kitchen were great. Couple of kitchen utensils were unusable because they were broken, but we were able to work around. Location was beautiful with great view of the mountains and only 10 mins for downtown Gatlinburg and about 35 mins from Pigeon Forge. We'll be back!
Krista J. from Tell City, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2011 We stayed last week and have already started planning another trip back within the next 2 weeks. Absolutely gorgeous views from the decks. Have recommended elk spring resorts to everyone! You won't be disappointed!
A guest from Fulton, Missouri recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2011 The cabin was amazing with amazing views, we will definatly be back very soon! Loved every minute and didnt want to leave!
A guest from Cincinnati, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2011 I really was expecting more for the price. The location was ok but not as private as I expected. The cabin was nice however it had a whole lot of lady bugs...everywhere.
James P. from Chattanooga, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2011 absolutely loved the cabin!!! it is a perfect place for a romantic getaway. my girlfriend and i stayed for the weekend and made memories that will last a lifetime! the cabin was amazing and so were the views from the back porches.
Miranda M. from Jackson, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in February, 2011 This was my first trip to Gatlinburg and my first stay in a cabin so I didn't know what to expect. This place exceeded my expectations! We had so much fun and had everything we needed! The cabin was very clean. We enjoyed the hot tub, pool table. Only problem some might experience is the lady bugs. However, they were not a problem to us and are not limited to this cabin alone. They have been seen at many other places in the area so don't let that deter you from staying at this cabin. We are already planning another trip back as soon as the weather warms up and definitely plan on staying here again!
Charles R. from Thibodaux, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2011 The atmosphere is second to none. The accommodations are great with a wonderful view. I would recommend it to anyone. My wife and I both were very very pleased.
Jeff S. from Chicago, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2010 A bit far, not far away enough for some. Whomever I talked to to help get my wife and I to the location deserves a raise. The view is great, we did not take advantage of the grill but should have.
A guest from Boynton Beach, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2010 This was our first time renting a cabin. WE loved this cabin and the location. It was easy to get to from Asheville, NC which was our first stop. It was very convenient to the arts and craft trail and hiking and the state park which was our favorite part of Gatlinburg. We did not love the other touristy things so for us the cabin was our highlight. We should have brought more things to the cabin - we did not know there would be a grill. There was soap but no shampoo which is no big deal but if we knew we would have brought some. WE know for next time and we would definitely come back!!
Richard C. from Boiling Springs, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in October, 2010 Loved the cabin and all the amenities...the only thing that was a bit bothersome were the many many ladybugs. We would definitely rent it again!
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Lady bugs were a big problem in the area this year and sorry for the inconvenience! In the past 3-4 years we usually get them for about 1-2 weeks, but we've finally figured out a great way to prevent them so I don't think it will be an issue in the future.
Justin W. from Dothan, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2010 It was awesome. The view was perfect and the cabin was very nice. If you're questioning where to stay then this is your answer!
Rachel L. from Slidell, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2010 This is the best cabin to rent in Gatlinburg! The cabin is beautiful and the location can't be beat! The view is wonderful! This cabin will be your home away from home. We visit at least once or twice a year and have no desire to stay at any other location! Quick access to attractions, shopping, and grocery/convenience stores. You will love to relax in the hot tub or near the fireplace, play a game of pool, or enjoy a night on the porch grilling and enjoying the view of the mountains! You won't be disappointed!
Kevin M. from Richmond, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2010 We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend getaway at Whispering Creek! We were looking for a comfortable, clean and quiet place to unwind and and relax and we got that and more!!! By far the nicest cabin we have stayed at and we will definitely use Elk Springs in the future. The property manager was extremely nice and helpful. We highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend!
David H. from Pittsburgh, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2010 We had a wonderful time and the cabin and location were gorgeous. We had one minor situation on the first night when we turned down the comforter for the first time to find the sheets stained. We quickly called management and Terri immediately drove up to the cabin and replaced all the sheets. She was very apologetic and extremely professional. Other than that small instance, we would recommend this location in a heart beat.
Marc P. from Westland, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2010 This cabin was amazing! The view from the top balcony was just priceless! Only down fall was the drive to downtown gatlinburg and back but other then that it was a time of our lives!!!!
Morgan C. from Lafayette, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2010 We had a great time in our cabin. The view from our balcony was a great backdrop for our wedding! We had a problem with our grill, (the knobs all melted..haha), and the owners came out the same day and fixed it! They were great people. We love staying in gatlinburg, but this was probably our best trip. We've been telling everyone we know that elk springs is the way to go!
Michael C. from Vine Grove, Kentucky recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2010 Excellent cabin and property. We loved every minute of our stay and hated to leave. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Thank you so much!!
We came on our honeymoon, and staying at the cabin made it all the more better! It's just far enough away from downtown to en
Nickcole R. from Greenfield, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2010 We just enjoyed sitting on the balcony talking, listening to music and enjoying one anothers company. We got in the hot tub everyday, and cooked some of our meals there as well. Staying there at the cabin made life long memories that we will never forget. I hated to leave it was so nice!
Laura K. from Madison, WI recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2010 The view afforded by this cabin is fantastic! No need to go do the sky lifts - you can see a spectacular mountain view right from your decks! The kitchen was so well appointed, we made every meal at home on the deck but one. The shade screens on the deck are great - they provide at times much needed shade, but also privacy. Everything in the cabin was very well thought out that way. Our family of 4 was perfectly comfortable in the cabin for 5 nights. So much so that my kids didn't want to leave it one day! The only constructive comment I'd make is that the master bed has a distinct sag in the middle and needs replacing. The cabin owners are just up the hill if you have any needs. We were lucky to meet them our first day. We didn't need to phone them, but it was nice to know someone was close if something came up. The cabin is very close to two enterances to the smoky mountain national park and only about 15 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. Close enough to run in to town and far enough to be away from the craziness. I'd highly recommend the Elk Springs cabins if you are looking for a mountain getaway!
Teressa R. from APO, AE recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2010 I was on R & R from Afghanistan and it was a great place to relax and unwind. Absolutely loved the cabin. Will definately be back.
Natalia O. from Tavanere, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2009 The place is about 10 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg but it was worth it! The place is private, quiet and serene. The views are spectaular! Dont panic if you see bugs in the showers and tubs. The park introduced lady bugs in the Smokies a while back and they find a way to get into all of the cabins and such. Most of them are dead and they are completely harmless. Other than that, the place is clean, bright and well-maintained. =) This will be our resort for all our future visits to Gatlinburg!
A guest from New Albany, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2009 Our stay with Elks Springs was wonderful! The cabin was georgous and very clean. It had all of the comforts of home. Kitchen was stocked with everything you would need. The only issue we had was that we were e-mailed incorrect directions and we intially went to the wrong cabins. Other than that I have only great things to say about our stay. We will definitely be back.
Jon B. from Senoia, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2009 My wife and I rented the cabin for our first getaway since we had our first child 5+ years ago. When we got to the rental office to check in, it would have been helpful for the agent to point out that the property was not in the main Elk Springs Resort Property. We went to the wrong place. After getting to the cabin we were excited with the incredible beauty of the area. We arrived around sunset and the view was stunning. The sound of the creek bubbling by was very relaxing. The cabin was in excellent condition and was very easy to figure where and how things worked. The fireplaces were wonderful and the pool table was a fun relaxing activity. The only negatives I had were that the internet required resetting and took my time to set up. Also, the lady bugs were bad in the sleeping area. Overall, I would rent this cabin again based on the spectacular views and the relaxing atmosphere.
A guest from Martinsville, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in August, 2009 We enjoyed our stay at Whispering Creek. Great view of the Smokies, out of bustle and crowds of Gatlinburg, but within a reasonable distance.
A guest from Waterford, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2009 The property was very nice and we had a wonderful time. We would definitely consider staying here again in the future.
A guest from Beavercreek, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2009 We loved the cabin and had a good time. I originally booked the Fontana but had to switch because it was taken off the rental program. I wish i had been informed that the cabin whispering creek was located another 9 miles from the other cabins. other than that everything was great.
A guest from Pittsfield, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2009 We recently stayed at the Whispering Creek cabin. We were very pleased with the cabin. We surprised our Mom! She was so excited when we got there. The owner came right over when we called to tell them the hot tub would not come on. He had it working within minutes. My only complaint was getting back to the cabin and trying to drive around Gatlinburg. After driving 10 plus hours to get there, I did not want to be stuck in the car for hours trying to eat out or shop. We would reccomend just bringing everything you would need to eat and stay there to enjoy the view and the fabulous cabin.
A guest from Livingston, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2009 The overall stay at this property was very restful and beautiful. I recommend this property to any "able-bodied" soul interested in a restful get away... however I would not recommend it for anyone who is disabled or has a hard time getting up and down stairs as its stairs are very steep and hard to navigate. The only complaint that I have, other than too much fabric softener in the towels and no bath mats on the premise, is that there is NO EMERGENCY EXITS except the front door. Neither deck has any way down and if there were a fire there would be a minimum 25 to 30 foot drop to the ground which would be on a very steep slope.
