This lovely duplex, close to the Wyndham Resort's back gate, is nestled among palms and oaks in Ocean Ridge, but is a few minutes walk from the beach. Enjoy one of Wyndham's 3 Pools (one indoors), Fitness Center, Playground, Putt-Putt, etc. please see Wyndham Activities Center for prices and passes for these amenities as well as restrictions with motocycles, boats, trailers, and golf carts. NO SMOKING. NO PETS.

The only area where I was a little disappointed was regarding the internet access. Having an internet connection was very important to me. We tried for hours upon arrival as well as the next morning. My daughter had a paper for school that she was needing to work on and I had some work to do; I contacted the sales office to inform them of the situation. Someone did come out to check on the problem and said the modem was bad. I was a little disappointed that another modem was not offered or provided so that we could connect. Other than that, the property was clean, convenient, quiet & peaceful. |

With four small children, it wasn't exactly an easy walk to the beach, but hopping in the car for a quick drive was much better (and we never had a problem finding parking!)We will absolutely be back! |

Edisto the week of 8/1/10 with my two sons (9 and 7). The home and property were absolutely wonderful, with everything we needed. The house is a short walk to the beach (a few blocks), but is nestled in a quiet area surrounded by beautiful trees draped in spanish moss. The beaches were gorgeous and not crowded even in the middle of summer. It would have been nice to have a remote to operate the gate at the rear entrance (you have to drive in and out the main gate on the other end of the resort without one), but it was not a major inconvenience. Beautiful House A guest from Gastonia, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2010 Mt Edisto is a great rental property in the Wyndham Ocean Ridge Resort (gated community). It is a well furnished duplex. We rented unit B. There were many beds. The master is downstairs with a King and full bath. Upstairs there are 2 large bedrooms and 1 bath. The first room has a queen and a single fold out bed (folds out to 2 single beds). The second room had a queen or full (not sure of the size) and 2 twin beds. There was plenty of parking for 3 cars for each unit. The house is in a neighborhood, but you could hardly see another house because the trees are so wonderfully thick they block out the view of the other homes which gives you a secluded feeling. The location was within what some would call walking distance to the beach (1/2 mile). The golf course is open to the public if you want to play it. It looked well maintained and challenging. The beach at Edisto is quite nice. From the house you can go to the ocean or channel beach. The ocean side is typical for the area and the channel side has very small to no waves which is nice for small children. It also has wonderful sunsets. Go see Botony Bay beach while you are down there. Allow for an hour of hiking. Fleas a downer - a little help? Joseph K. from Cincinnati, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2009 Apparently the back bedroom on the 2nd floor was infested with fleas. Our daughter picked up several (> 20) bites in the first two nights. Worst thing was that it took about 4-5 calls and two days to get an exterminator and a working vacuum. We also had a housekeeper drop off new comforters (nice), but who stripped our beds in the process (huh?). The hardwood and tile floors throughout looked none too clean. The property itself was beautiful - we just had a hard time with it. We came here to rest! |
