Edisto Vacation Christy G. from Marietta, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2012 The house was lovely and the location was nice. However the floors were dirty upon arrival (sticky and black in areas from use of a dirty mop) and there was hair in the shower of the second bathroom. There was a leak under the kitchen sink and the emergency repair man did not come until after a second call on Sunday afternooon when we had initally called him on Saturday upon arrival. Then he stated someone would be there Monday morning b/c a new garbage disposal was needed. Received a call Monday afternoon that it would be Tuesday morning before the new garbage disposal would be installed. Mind you the sink leaked everytime we used it or the dishwasher and it smelled horrible. Tuesday the disposal was changed but something else had to be replaced which did not happen until late Wednesday afternoon. |

Enjoyable Vacation at Edisto A guest from Martinez, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2012 We love Edisto. The house was a convenient location to ride/run to the beach. We purchased the week pass and the kids enjoyed the pool and putt-putt especially since we could ride our bikes there. It was also nice having access to the cabana at the beach. It is right on the golf course so not as much room to run around for kids but easy enough to head to beach. Only negative thing I have to say is how close the house is to the entrance but you have to circle all the way back around to the guard shack. Not a big deal, actually comical when you see how close the house is to the entrance. But, definitely enjoyed how we were within walking distance to many places. |

Need to display more current picture as the area across the street is much more developed than originally displayed.2. Toilet seat in guest bathroom needs replacing. It is bubbling up and could cause sharing of germs.3. Would be nice to have at least one roll of toilet paper in the home upon arrival.4. Grate to the grill needs to be replaced as it is totally rusting5. I dislike the idea of having to pay for linen. It should be furnished with the stipulation that it be washed and dried by the renters prior to departure.5. I am a cook and would loved to have a cookie sheet to use. 6. Rental staff was wonderful and very friendly.7. Stay was quiet and peaceful.8. Will not come to edisto again due to the lack of medical care being 1 hour into Charleston.9. Why in the world is there no place to buy a cheap pair of flip flops? Had to almost leave the island to only pay $6 for a pair.It is spelling Gainesville, GA |

Finding our Laystrom House was available to rent, we were thrilled. This was our third time to Edisto and we have to say "our favorite place to stay!" The privacy and layout of the house were perfect for our needs. Sitting on the front porch admiring the sights was fantastic! Would seriously consider Laystrom House again when planning our next trip to Edisto! |
