For Fly Fishing enthusiasts this cabin is conveniently located between the Nelson Siding put-in and the take-out in Cle Elum?perfect for a 2 day fishing trip on the upper Yakima! Snowmobile enthusiasts will enjoy the Snow Park less than 2 miles from the cabin. Snowmobile from the front door to the trailhead during good snow conditions.
This is a perfect getaway for a family or small group. One queen bed down with 2 queen beds in the upstairs sleeping loft. The cabin sits on 2 acres with only 1 other cabin in view from the property downstream. There are no cabins up river or across the river from the cabin. No neighbors across the river either! This is a great location for nature often see bald eagles fishing in the river, deer, elk, and beavers!

The location is lovely, right on the river for fishing, & we loved the sound of the water & the fresh air & sunshine. The hot tub saw lots of use, as well as the fire pit for making s'mores. We especially enjoyed seeing the stars so bright in the night sky. The place is perfectly maintained, adorably decorated, spotlessly clean & has plenty of towels, & pots, pans & dishes for making meals for 6. We had a cozy time playing games while watching the snow fall. We'd like to return ourselves & would recommend to others. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2013 While the property was nice I think it was overpriced at $190 a night plus a cleaning and pet fee. And we had to remove our shoes. The stone hearth was a toe buster. It was the same color as the linoleum, and not necessary for a propane stove. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2012 How nice to show up the first day and have the cabin so clean, warm and with music playing to greet us! Such a nice welcome! This was our second trip and we came again to flyfish. My husband caught only one rainbow (about 12 in.) the last day. (I'm a stubborn dry flyfisher so i caught nothing.) But the autumn setting was so nice that i didn't care. Comfortable weather for the most part too. To people who are worried about the house next door, it's not a problem! There was someone there when we were but it was in no way an intrusion. (I actually like knowing someone is close by.) The bed is nice, but a little bit soft for me, but i so appreciate the very nice linens! The sofas are also nice and match the cabin decor, i just wish they were a little more comfortable. These are the only reasons i don't give this place a 5. But all in all, this is a great place and i know the fishing would be good too if only I were better at it! This is a great flyfishing cabin! Jo B. from Lakewood, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2012 I love being able to walk out the front door to flyfish! And i also like staying in a cabin that is cozy and clean and comfortable too and you can't always find good fly water with all the amenities. We stayed in late July when dry fly fishing isn't usually so great during hot conditions, however i did manage to catch quite a few trout the size of my hand. We are planning to come back in October to fish when it's better dry fly fishing. I can't wait! We loved the decor. (I even liked your comfortable sheets and that doesn't always happen in a fishing cabin!) And because I am one of those weird people who actually like to cook on vacation, i appreciated your kitchen being nicely stocked with enough pans...though someone writing a review here did mention to get rid of the teflon that is scratched up and i would concur with that. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2012 We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at River's Edge with all the wildlife and the convenient proximity to the city. While only hours away from our home, it felt like we were vacationing miles from the damaging explosives that come with July 4th fireworks. Peaceful, comfortable and clean with all the necessary conveniences of a resort community available to use any time day or night. Wildlife is abundant from the great bald eagle to the tiny butterflies. What an awesome property! The description is a little deceiving in there was no access to the river. Also, the house was not as secluded as described because there was a house right next door, the houses share a lawn. The rental company was above satisfactory though. I thought Kevin and Wendie were very helpful and accommodating. The Hot Tub is working great, so I'm not sure what happened during your stay. My guess is that was accidently put into sleep mode. Please call us in the future if this happens again. There is a gravel and sand bar that is exposed in lower water conditions straight out from the cabin about 50 yards. There is a cabin adjacent downstream. These two cabins were initially constructed by two friends, but the other cabin is rarely occupied. The cabins don't share a lawn though. However there were a few things that stand some improvement such as more comfortable couches,a dishwasher and instructions on how to work the very old microwave and all the remote controls. Also there was no room or hangers in the masterbedroom closet and when we tried to use the hot tub in the late afternoon it was freezing cold even though we had always replaced the cover after usage.Did see a deer, a bunny and a duck but no fish. Rivers Edge helped take away my edge Denise C. from Renton, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2012 This was our 3rd time renting from you (plus referred numerous friends who have rented, too). We arrived @ 6:30PM (with a tired & hungry 4 yo.) to find trash on front porch, and key box busted open with no key anywhere. 1st attempt to call all 3 telephone #' answer. 2nd round got ahold of Wendie. Maryann arrived ~7PM, and spent 30 minutes tidying up the place. Kevin also showed up 30 minutes after Maryann with paper towel products, and checked the hot tub. Overall the 1st night started off a bit bumpy & bit inconvenient. Kevin heard our concerns and followed up the next day to let us know the issue was with change in reservation (+ 1 night early), that he had processed/charged us but didn't update calendars. We understand, and relieved that he did care - he offered $100 off. P.S. TV's audio is busted and would automatically go high/low now matter what setting we place it at...very annoying. Nice cabin, no access to river. A guest from Sherwood, OR does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2011 We enjoyed the cabin and the hot tub. It was very lucky no neighbors, didn't know a house was so close! I understand the need to build the natural dam to prevent flooding in front of house but it ruins view of river and there was no river access. You should update the picture on the website of the river view. It worked out fine but not a repeat. Mother nature run wild. A guest from Seattle, WA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2011 The pix of the water need to be updated to reflect the way the river looks. Winter storms removed the beach. We were told the neighbors never are around but once a year. Just our luck we were there when they were. The owner offered a stay for free in October to make up for the neighbors. We will take them on it, as the home was very nice. Highly recommend A guest from CONROE, Texas recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 Everything about our stay was fantastic. I do have a comment for families: The pictures don't show how much room is upstairs. There is a second living area in the loft where the two queen beds are. It also has a couch, rocker and TV. Overall there is more space in the entire cabin than the pictures reveal. Lots to do outside, wonderful hikes within 20 miles, caught one trophy trout and many smaller trout from this property. The property was in excellent shape, super clean, and very inviting. Kevin and Wendy at All Vacation Rentals are very helpful if you ask for help, but otherwise leave you to enjoy your vacation. This place would be great for a family or a group of friends. The only downside is that you are very close to other cabins, not a big deal at all. Only two things I would not mark positive were the ease of stubbing one's toe on the hearth and the hot tub water not looking real clean. We had an excellent stay; it was quiet, beautiful, restful and just what we hoped for. 2. The location, once we found it, was wonderful. The Yakima River was peaceful and added an extra measure of serenity to the entire stay. We did have difficulty finding it, but after calling the office and speaking with Kevin, we had no problems at all. The street name was very high and hidden by tree branches coming from the Western side of Highway 90. We never did see the Happy Jack or whatever the other identifying sign was; once we knew where to turn we had no trouble with other back and forth trips. 3. The cabin was clean, well supplied and in excellent shape. My hope is we left it equally clean and in good shape; we try very hard to follow an old camper's motto: Always leave your campsite better than when you found it. You made it very hard to improve upon!! 4. We have always had an excellent response with the management staff whenever we have made inquiries and/or stayed at your places. I hope to return in early October and have two additional quests join us. As the plans come together, I'll be back in touch with you. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2009 The lights on the back deck do not work and the last guest said the same. It is very dark out back on the frozen deck so this is a SAFETY ISSUE! Second.. There should be a roasting pan in the oven. Went there for thanksgiving and didn't have a place to cook turkey. A roasting pan is something that is a given so please spend the 15 bucks and get one. 3rd... The batteries in the fireplace controller ( 4 double A's ) were dead so the remote for the fireplace didnt work. 4th... The kitchen sink faucet would not stay on unless it was hot water wide open. This is a pain and makes your stay a little less comfortable if your mad at the sink everytime you are rinsing the dishes or trying to fill the sink to wash. Just a few very simple things. However this last one is major. My wife is covered in insect bites. Little red bumps. Is it from the mattress?? we think so but who can prove such things so i'm just mentioning it. Maybe a bug bomb?? exterminator??? To be fair my wife is always the one to get bitten we cant go to the beach without here being eaten alive by the sand fleas and thats what here current bite marks look like. My children and I are clear of bites. Now after saying all this I must now say that we enjoyed our stay, Loved the cabin and its location and would stay again. I will bring a non - permeable barrier for the mattress with us though. |

The cabin is only about 90 minutes from Seattle and traffic on I-90 is light compared to I-5. I would highly recommend this area for a weekend getaway from Seattle city life! We did a nice day hike up the Ingalls Creek trail and then dinner in Roslyn at the pizza joint. It was a very nice day!The hot tub was great and there is even a natural pool formed by a downed tree that provides for a perfect cold plunge.The one downside was the many yellow jackets around the house. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL CABIN!! A guest from moses lake, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2009 WE HAD AN EXCELLENT TIME. THE CABIN WAS PERFECT. CLEAN NICELY DECORATED AND IT HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED. THE RIVER WAS CLOSE BY AND THE SOUND WAS THE WATER WAS SO RELAXING. WE WOULD CERTAINLY STAY HERE AGAIN!!! I don't even know how to personally rate this because ... A guest from Bellevue, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2009 I don't even know how to personally rate this because I am highly allergic to yellow jackets so I spent most of the time indoors. There was a nest under the hot tub on the deck and they were dive bombing us. My son went into town Sat to get some spray because we did not want the babies to get stung either and he tried to get rid of them. We have lived on acreage in EWA and waterfront in Minnesota and know that you have to wait until they are all in their nests at night but we had to leave the next morning too and did not have the time. There were just too many nests! I also read in the guest book that others mentioned it before so wasn't sure whether to bother management. The nests have been there for awhile. Other than that it was nice! Love the decor! It is pretty except for the log burm straight out. We understand that is for flooding conditions. And I have never had to partially clean a place before leaving either. And my husband and I have traveled here and abroad extensively. I guess I would recommend the place to the right kind of people. It would be a blast in the winter! Frankly, I think it is a little overpriced. though. The directions were sort of vague in places and my kids took a wrong turn. Like I said, we owned a log cabin in the woods ourselves years ago! Property Manager Response: Response from All Seasons Vacation Rentals Hi Linnea,Thanks for the review! We appreciate you taking the time. We do have our cabins sprayed twice a year for bugs and bees on the exterior. We don't ask our guests to partially clean the cabin upon departure.
