The screen porch was great for the kids to play "outside" on their own. Please note that the VRBO listing describes a "crib." I think it is important to note that by "crib" the owners mean "pak n' play." Great experience overall. |

The beach is a very short walk away. The kitchen is very small, but fine for one or two cooks. The microwave handle is still broken as reported by a previous guest and the coffee pot (a beach house essential) needs to be replaced. One of the bedrooms had a very uncomfortable mattress that needed to be replaced. My family and I enjoyed our weekend stay with our dog. We would stay again, but it would be nice if the owner would take care of these small problems to make the house a little more "kept-up." |

It was not nearly as clean as we would have hoped that it would have been upon arrival, there were ants in the kitchen and quite and unhappy next door neighbor, but other than that all was great! It had a strange layout with one bedroom downstairs and limited seating area in the living room. The kitchen was VERY small and the appliances were a little problematic. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2009 The living rm. & mast. BR were fine & very comfy. To say that this has 4 BR is misleading. What you don't know is that the 4th BR is under the house, accessed only by outside stairs. The a/c blasts down there & no child would feel safe nor an adult comfy. The micro. handle was broken as were the toilet paper dowels & the safety bar in mast. bath. The hammocks I was looking forward to using were broken as was a fan on the screened-in porch. There are no TVs in the guest BRs & the "1/2 bath" is a joke. Even when I rented from another co. in Fla. for Spring Break, they at least provided enough toilet paper to get you started along w/hotel soaps,etc. Overall, the house was comfortable. I just felt very misled re: the true layout. I was very disappointed w/the BRs because I paid that much for a 4-BR house so ea. child could have their own rm. & really could only use 3. Although I would return to Edisto, I would not rent from Atwood. I recommend Edisto Realty. |
