My wife and I spent our honeymoon at Waller's Hollow and we loved it! We were a little concerned about how far it was to the beach, until we got there. It was only a little stroll from the beach and very convenient to all the restaurants and of course the very important grocery store, the Piggly Wiggly. All in all its a very pretty spacious house that offers a great location at an even better price!

Someone had cleaned fish and left the remains in an open trash can outside. The smell was horrible. I suggest that the cleaners check for things like that before allowing the house to be occupied. Other than that, we were totally satisfied with our rental. The additional family room upstairs was a perfect place for our six younger family members to hang out together.

Wallers Hollow VisitAfter selling our house at Edisto, we rented from Atwood. This was our first disappointment.The carpet was filthy. Big dark spots everywhere. Tile on kitchen counter and bathroom was black. We took a table knife and black dirt just rolled out of grout. Dusty blinds and light fixtures, cable box did not work, coffee pot broken, took 26 hrs to get a new one.The house did not have a good clean smell.A company I trusted, let me down on this rental.Not sure why they charged me a pet fee for such dirty carpet.Will not rent Wallers Hollow again.Still love Edisto Beach.

We loved the location of this house. We had 8 adults, 1 toddler and a infant and were left with plenty of room to move around. The only downfall with the house was the kitchen table furniture had multiple chair legs that were very loose. We had an issue with the upstairs A/C one afternoon, but within 20 minutes of calling the service men were their and had it fixed! We were very pleased! Overall it is a good house with a great location!

WE WERE SATISFIED WITH EVERYTHING EXCEPT CONDITION OF THE HOME IS POOR. NEEDS REPAIRS, DISHWASHER RUSTED, NEEDS CARPET CLEANED, AIR FILTERS NEED REPLACING, HOLE IN WALL, POPCORN CEILING IN BOTH BATHROOMS NEED REPAIRING. LATCH TO OUTSIDE STORAGE BROKE, IF UP KEEP WAS BETTER I WOULD STAY AT THIS LOCATION AGAIN.

Was a very nice relaxing vacation. Property was showing some wear and tear (a hole in wall upstairs not repaired, vinyl siding coming off outside, whirlpool not functional due to electrical issue), but it was a nice relaxing vaction spot just a couple minutes walk to the beach.

We had a blast but was only disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. Very dusty. fixture were dirty in bathrooms, mattress cover were dirty, we had shake them out first before putting on sheets. Walls were very dusty. Not a very over all cleaning. But would rent house again if it were cleaned better. Atwood is a great agency to work with on renting a house. Every person I talked to was very friendly and helpful. When I come back I will go through Atwood! Thanks!

We were pleased with the accomodations. The website accurately portrayed the property. It was nice to have the ability to house up to 16 people since we did not know for sure how many folks would be joining us when we made the reservation. It was quite comfortable for our group of 10.

Winter Getaway

We enjoyed a much needed winter getaway to the beach for 4 days. This was our 3rd visit to Edisto, and the first time to this house. The house is conveniently close to the beach. The upstairs living room area was bright and sunny, and a very welcoming place to read and relax. The back screened porch looked very inviting, but we were not able to enjoy it due to the cold weather. We would definitely like to return in the summer months and sit on that porch. One of the features that attracted us to the house was the fireplace, but when we arrived we realized there were no tools, and it would be more trouble than it was worth, and we really didn't miss it.The only snag was when we arrived, there was a note on the table saying that the house had been winterized and the water was turned off. We called night maintenance, and he came right away, after dark on a freezing cold Sunday evening with blowing snow and quickly turned on the water. No problems at all after that. It also would have been nice to have had a few more books, videos or cards, in case we were stuck inside in inclement weather. Otherwise it was a very pleasant and relaxing stay, and I would recommend Waller's Hollow.

Looks can be deceiving

We didn't expect this property to be bad when we rented it, but we were pleasantly surprised to find that is exceeded even our highest expectations. There is a lot that you can't tell from the photos. The back deck is very big and this is actually a two story house. This is a very nice place to vacation. There are only two things I would have wished differently. The first is that the comfortable seating is in the upstairs living area with the small television while the uncomfortable, wicker furniture is downstairs with the large television. This seems a little backwards to me. The second thing I would have wished is for the use of the dumbwaiter to be left open for the guests, though I understand why the owners keep it locked and cannot really blame them. Overall, everything was wonderful, and we would definitely stay here again.

Just to let you know found dirty personal female items in trashcan upstairs in bedroom to the right. I did not call about it but other individuals may have not been that calm. I cleaned it up myself but something like that puts a thought in your head about other things. Sorry it took so long to respond but thought you should know about it.

First the good stuff: Location is great. Easy walk to beach. Check in was easy. That's all that I would say is good.Where to start on the rest:House is OLD and NASTY! Mattress,chair cushions and everything was stained beyond a cheap motel. Furniture was bad beyond belief. Tv outlet hanging out of the wall. DVD's not hooked up to TV's. Screen porch is usless(holes in the screens everywhere)Outside shower had rusty nails sticking out on the inside. Fish cleaning station is rotted. Fans/AC did work tho. Dishes were dirty and mismatched trailer part stuff. Literature from Atwood says they are open Sundays(they are not). No way would I recommend this property to anyone.

Air vent on stairway needs cleaning badly. Matress cover in downstaris master bdrm dirty. Floors downstairs need to be cleaned. House comfortable and screened porch wonderful.

We did notice a leak in the dining area ceiling when it rained heavily one day. There spots on the ceiling should be obvious. One was brown indicating it had leaked before. You will notice the spots it was leaking from as you enter the front door and look between the table and the steps upstairs. Just wanted to make you aware. Thank you for a great vacation.

Although we certainly enjoyed our stay as we always do, the house is in dire need of repair and cleaning. I realize that the repairs will be costly particularly the roof, but general cleaning should be easily done. I really don't want to complain but feel you can use the information to make others more comfortable. The outside back porch furniture just needs to be trashed as well as the grills. The space under the sink needs to be cleaned out. Perhaps since we stayed in the winter, these things are scheduled to be completed prior to spring guests. Thanks again for letting us stay. We always wish it could be longer.

The house is beginning to show lots of wear. We have stayed here several years and love the two levels for our family--with privacy upstairs. We don't care for the wicker furniture on level one--it is the most uncomfortable ever. We come back to this house because of the two levels. Also, the stove has a burner that kept going out and another burner that smells like it has an electrical problem. We had a great time--
