This is a very nice house for a vacation. Our family of 7 adults and 1 child were able to spend the week there with plenty of room for people to have their own personal space. While a few of the mattresses were not comfortable, the bedrooms were generally attractive, large, and well equipped. Common areas are large with the wrap-around screened porch a true winner. It is within walking distance to Whaley's....another plus.

Have stayed here before. The property is deteriorating somewhat - needs new locks on doors, broken water filter, freezer not working properly - noticed up for sale so assuming owner did not want to put anymore money into it. Would still stay here again. Needed to spray downstairs for bugs - found roaches and spiders.

Loggerhead was a very child & adult friendly home, because the bedrooms were not off the main living room, place to play underneath, and a convenient bike trail behind the house that also led to the beach access, and a convenient walk to Whaley's. When the kids are happy, adults are happy :) We loved the view of the ocean from the front screened porch, as it was very relaxing. We had a little trouble getting the refrigerator to cool down, but of course we cooked a lot and used the kitchen without any other problems.

There are two reasons why I gave a lower score for general condtion and cleanliness of the property:a. The living room and lower hallway carpets were VERY VERY stained. Also there were "burrs" in the carpet in some places and those hurt when you accidentally stepped on them. We wondered if someone had stayed there with a dog and that dog had run in the weeds and brought a bunch of prickly burrs inside.2. The master bathroom tub did not drain well at all; it was a problem each time we used that shower or tub.

The house is advertised as sleeping 12...but be ware- 6 of the beds are in one room. It includes a futon "the other full size bed" a full size bed and 2 twins. This was a surprise to us as we assigned a married man the "other bed" and it ended up being in a room with 4 single girls. Other than him having to sleep on the floor in the living room, it was a great house!

the beach access was a little far needed a wagon fix carpet in upstaires hallway was fine for my size family wish check out was at least 10;30 important we had fun and made memories

LOVED THE HOUSE, BIT OF A WALK TO THE BEACH BUT THE VIEW WAS SPECTACULAR! THE STEPS GOING DOWNSTAIRS WERE KIND OF SLICK WHERE THE CARPET WAS WORN.

This house appears on the map to sit one door down from a cross street which would put it catty corner from a beach access. However, the cross street was never developed and the closest beach access is a full block away in either direction. This was the only downside to this house. We loved the split level layout and the screened porch was fabulous!
