Sounds of Laughter is a modern, gorgeously decorated second row, two story home with enough room for family and friends or the perfect place for a first floor getaway for just the two of you. Relax in the tastefully decorated living room and gaze out three huge sliding glass doors that span the length of the house as you watch the shrimp boats and pelicans drift across the Atlantic. Kids and families alike will love the quick, direct access to the beach. Cooking is a joy in the huge, fully stocked kitchen with counter space everywhere! The kitchen has all the extras including a cappuccino, sandwich, waffle, margarita and ice tea makers. Enjoy the breeze on the main deck beautifully decorated in Southern style wicker. Entertain the whole gang or relax and take a nap in the lounge chair. Step out your bedroom door and rise above it all on the huge second story sunshine deck, complete with rocking chairs. Grab a cup of coffee and enjoy an ocean sunrise or settle in with a glass of wine as you gaze at the stars. Your perfect Edisto vacation starts with Sounds of Laughter.A Private Pool will be available for use in November 2013. The pool can be heated for $400/wk.

Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 Sounds of laughter fit our situation was only a block and a half to the grocery and restaurants and shops were all around.The ocean views from the 2 large decks were great.We had up to 12 people at the time and the property will accomodate more than that.The large kitchen was well equiped and we served 12-18 people every night.We couldn't get the WI-FI connection to work,but we all logged on to an unprotected one across the street.We used the charcoal grill one night and the under cottage parking area was wonderful for our cookout.Edisto is a beautiful place and Sounds of Laughter made our stay enjoyable and memorable. |

It was home away from home- decorations were pretty and tasteful. The kitchen was very spacious and we loved that since 3 or 4 people helped out when we cooked in. Our favorite places were the spacious decks on the front- we sat out to talk, eat or whatever and could see the beautiful beach easily. Another great feature was that beach access was so easy and close. Edisto itself is wonderful- laid back and family oriented. We will definitely go back- it is now my favorite beach! |

It felt like home. Then there were the power outages. Every night at ten thirty, Harriet the ghost would start playing her games with us. Lights would flicker, cable and heat would go out!! They always came back on after about 30 minutes, it just made the stay a little interesting for all of us. I can hear the stories our children will be telling in the future, to others. I'm sure all the power problems will be resolved and the next family will miss out on the ghost stories they could have told. We loved our entire visit and will definitely stay again. There were some things that the ownner needs to do. The carpet is in horrible condition and the porch needs some work. The location was perfect for our family and the air conditioner worked well.
